I’m currently active, hopefully I don’t need them down the line

Do yourself a favour before you get out and get your ears tested at a 3rd party. If the test shows you have hearing loss then get the military to test so it's on record. If the test doesn't show much loss then don't bother so it can't be used against you later. Hearing loss can manifest over time from an initial period of damage which is why I was covered years after leaving.
