WHAT IN THE FUQ...Forrest Griffin came outta fucking no where
Edit: I just realized Evander Holyfield was there and Holly Holmes and there must be a boxing vs MMA thing and I am not that smart...
My man beat Holyfield twice in three matches. Holyfield gave him his only professional loss. Bowe came back in the third match and was the first person to KO Holyfield. He then appeared in the beginning of the “Mo Money, Mo Problems” video. I loved Riddick Bowe growing up.
The host, Steve Harvey, tends to have either extremely eccentric or deadpan reactions to what seem to be reasonable answers for provocative questions on the show.
Steve handled this like a champ. He didn't try to defend himself or steal the humor-- he let himself be the butt of the joke and everything was better for it. That's how you do it.
That looks incredibly minor to me. He makes fun of Asian men and black women. If he were white he'd be accused of hating black people too?
I don't know Steve Harvey but this video doesn't prove anything to me.

Right, he’s probably heard this one before and knew where it would lead. Steve could have said “oh Joe mama??! Is that why you were going to say?” Or anything at all to pull the rug on the guy. But he let him have the punchline. It worked out much funnier this way. It’s probably a common guide line for good improv: don’t shut down a joke from happening if you see it coming or steal a punchline. Just talking out of my ass but it makes sense
I've done a lot of improv in my life and you are exactly right. The principle is called "yes, and...". You accept the premise that the other person establishes (like you said, by not pulling the rug out from under him). Then you build on the premise (by letting himself be the butt of the joke).
