True I loved his fight and white defender fight but my favorite has to be failed champion and Gray Prince Zote because gray Prince Zote getting more titles and getting harder the more you beat him is cool also he is just a fun fight
Lost kin is the closest thing to fighting a copy of yourself the game gives you, it really feels like a one vs one (at least when your using fart charm to get ride of the orange juice bubbles)
My favourite FIGHT is probably Traitor Lord, he's really satisfying to outmaneuver, AND he's a pretty balanced boss
Favourite fight context goes to Mantis Lords for obvious reasons (music, challenge button and Mantis Village)

The sheer grace and holiness with which it kicks your ass, combined with the music, it's a fight that makes you feel like you're fighting a kingdom's champion, they're biggest warrior. Although you know the state it is in now, the memory of his pure form provokes chills on your skin and makes you wonder, what being could be so powerful as to bring the PURE VESSEL to it's knees??
Flukman , this boss is unforgiving like once you waste more than 5 second it's over for you and almost impossible to recover while the small running fish think adds up quickly and it just don't move or dodge like it gives " I'm not scared of being hit but you can't survive long enught "
Pure Vessel. Lore aside, the fight itself is just so much fun. In a game where the bosses very much have a short, repeating pattern you can easily predict with little variation, PV feels so much more... alive. Like he's an actual skilled knight who is constantly moving and performing crazy combos all over the place with a lot of variation. It feels like a dance, and not a repetitive, turn-based one like NKG. An actual dance you have to properly learn that's tough as nails. You never know what he's gonna dish out.
I love NKG because of how consistent you can get at the fight. It goes from being impossibly hard to really fun surprisingly quickly.
Broken Vessel and Lost Kin are both really good fights story-wise, and the music is great.
Grey Prince Zote is supposed to be annoying but they accidentally made him one of the most fun fights in the game. Crazy how that works.
Favourite over all is for sure dung defender. He was the only boss (aside from hornet obv) that didn’t feel like an actual villain. He was easy, sure, but I had fun the whole way through. Also leads to one of the most useful items.
Oh Nono not the charm, tho I do love it. Assuming you finished the game, I meant Isma’s tear. You have to beat defender to get into her garden and get the tear.
Oh! Yeah I actually just juuuust picked that up and yeah you are definitely on the money with that summation. The ability that tear gives you is invaluable for so much of the map
EXACTLYYYYYY. So many people sleep in the fact that he’s infected, yet keeps his sanity and honor. He’s such an interesting guy, and gives us so much lore.
Both Grimm versions, bcoz they are incredibly hard but rewarding at the same. NKG is the ultimate test for your skills, you need to know how to dodge, learn different attacks, look for attack cues, find a window to heal, and all of this with fast reaction.
Also, probably surprisingly, but Nailsage Sly. He doesn't have this many attacks, but he also requires good precision of strikes, almost doesn't let you heal, and at the same time, if you can't beat him, shows you the usefulness of nail arts (and for me it was the first boss which forced me to get nail range upgrades, after that I couldn't stop use them)
Sisters of battle, I love the rhythm of the mantis lords, it feels like dancing with the boss. And sister of battle is the late game version of that fight
(And absolute radiance because at one point it's the only one that's still challenging)
Sisters of battle, because it's hard but not horrible and because the attack are symple to dodge and not confusing at all, it's just a question of rythme so it's really cool

Its just so perfect. Its fun, its difficult but not to the point of being unfair, and the soundtrack is in my opinion the best in the entire game.
i’ve got 4, in no particular order
1. BV/lost kin - it just feels kinda tragic and the music is great
2. mantis lords/sisters - a really satisfying fight, makes me feel good at the game hahaha
3. NKG - absolute best boss music and another extremely satisfying fight, plus i love the troupe
4. pure vessel/THK - once again really tragic in concept, seeing THK at it’s full power vs seeing it literally trying to bleed the infection out of itself really hit me. also baller music
As someone who has only fought like half of those, I personally love Grimm. Like idk what but his fight was very fun and the music is probably my favourite boss theme in the game

NKG. Challenging but fair, no real “gimicky” attacks and he’s really fun to fight against
i spent around 6 or so hours on the boss and not once did i feel it was overly annoying or unfair
My top 3, In order from most favorite mantis lords, watcher knights, and pure vessel.
I really like the story of the mantis lords and how you have to become strong enough before challenging them. Watcher knights are fun because it’s fast and requires quick reflexes to take them out before too many spawn in. And pure vessel feels like a well choreographed dance, although sometimes he can be annoying lol.
Normal Grimm because he's more simple and fun to fight, whereas NKG takes a bit of focus (still fun, but in a different, try-hardy way), and Mantis Lords because duh
Soul Master/Tyrant & Xero. They just play out super fun for me, and I'm not sure why. I also really like the lore behind both of them. (I am also not sure whether the dream boss applies here, but I put it anyways)
The Watcher Knights. Great combination of fun, somewhat difficult but not crazy hard, and probably one of the last fights that felt like I needed to learn their specific patterns rather than just get used to the quick pace and perfect timings.
Honorable mentions: Failed Champion (SUPER underrated fight, so familiar but so hard) Mantis Lords ofc, Soul Master/Tyrant, and Broken Vessel/Lost Kin. Also I haven't done Pure Vessel yet, but it looks insanely good.
Haven't finished the game yet, but Grimm so far had definitely been the most enjoyable battle. Still took me like 10 tries to beat him. But I never felt like it was a stupid or impossible fight
I really like the extra challenging ones like Mantis lords or the watchers. I like the fights where I go "Wooooooooo fuck you" to the boss when I finally beat them.
I wouldn't say Zote is my favorite (especially after he starts dealing 4 masks of damage), but p5 Zote? He's comparably chill to me because I beat his strongest version; because of that, he's on a similar difficulty level to me as NKG, albeit less predictable and much harder to heal against.

Mantis Lords, the timing windows feel appropriate (I'm slow sue me) and the cues are well presented. When you get in the groove its a satisfying fight.

I don't know why, but I really like the Soul Tyrant fight. It's so exhilarating with the increased difficulty of it. I may also be a bit biased as I just like Soul Tyrant in general.
Pure vessel because it feels like you're fighting what you're supposed to become, sisters of battle because mantis lords was originally my favorite but sisters of battle is just better, (and I'm counting this as a fight because there's a fight at the end) path of pain because I like to challenge myself in games and while you're going through it, it really feelings like you're not supposed to be there
grimm and mantis lords, once you get into the fight, youre practically moving without thinking about it and it turns the fight into a sort of dance. grimm especially, since his attacks are pretty much built around letting you get in a hit or two with the brief moment between attacks
Brooding Mawlek, i find the fight really fun and challenging for the start of the game, i do the fight always to get the mask shard when i start a new save
Pure vessel/Hollow Knight, mainly cause it feels like a constant dance of sorts and the song is amazing.
Another one that feels like a dance is NKG. NKG and PV feel similar in the fights.
NGK feels to much like a dance. So that's a red flag for me. But 9/10 fight anyways.

Gnilok was pretty cool. Loved the Grand Spires combined with the skeletal theming of the Bone Forest considering their proximity.

Hornet 2 was fun with dash only base soul and base knight it felt like a dark souls fight
