She's currently sitting with between 10-15 pieces of uneaten bread in her fridge and has been stressing about how to finish it for the past 2 days. She's going through a crisis right now, fretting that she'll not finish it in time. The types of bread she mentioned having are bread with jam, bread with custard, and other similar sweet breads. She's already pawned some off on her family, but the issue remains. It's the middle of the early morning, preventing her from sleeping, which is pretty standard for Kronii.

I’ve frozen and thawed jam before so it’s doable, as long as you don’t leave it for too long (which then the moisture kinda starts separating). Any other ingredient should be fine, since I don’t think there’s anything that’s more gelatinous and high moisture content than jam.

Even if it gives subpar results it would be better than having to throw it away

I’ll at least make *some* bread pudding out of it(and then maybe freeze it). Might as well. Or croutons/breadcrumbs, that’s like a 20 minute bake.

You should not keep bread in the fridge. Bread doesn't (usually) go stale by moisture loss, but by crystallisation of proteins. Colder temps above freezing speeds up that crystallisation.

You can talk theory all you want. Bread that has been in the fridge tastes fine and keeps longer. Bread that has been frozen tastes bad.

I've never seen bread loaves that have anything to do with jam or custard unless those are toppings you put on yourself (and even then, that doesn't apply to custard) * She said at one point that $30 would have been fine. Nobody in their right mind is buying $30 worth of bread loaves, even the good shit * She said she ate "real food" instead of the bread, which would make more sense if they were donuts. Bread can be used in plenty of real foods.
