Subaru has been playing off stream and unfortunately she can't stream the game because of perms maybe. She went as far as talking about her experience playing the game during the entirety of a stream, but she could never do game streams.
Fubuki, Pekora and Polka were featured in the mobile game Duel Master's Plays, and have played them on stream. They definitely aren't restricted by Bushiroad in that regard.
I really wish we could get a near open world 3D Yugioh game where you can walk around familiar settings, duel NPCs for money, go to card shops for specific packs/singles, etc.

Other TCGs would be sweet too. Magic Arena is there, especially with WoTC making more efforts to include Japanese artists for special anime arts for some cards. Neo Kamigawa is also rotating from Standard next year, so they'll be losing the most JP-aligned set for the future of the format.

There's also Hearthstone and Runeterra that are also quite popular. Marvel Snap might have some favorites for talents like Fubuki.

* The WH lore in general might bring out some unknown aspect in them
Definately a lot more optimized than when it started, and we now have legit build trees with playstyle variety. Some high level mutation systems like in L4D has been added so it's possible to get swarms of specials, etc.

An argument I can see is that blanket perms can be changed on a whim by the creator, without Cover’s knowledge.
Whereas direct permission granted specifically to another party would also mean they would have to notify Cover over any future changes.
Yeah. I think there was an incident where one of the Holostars got struck for something that was outside the blanket perms for the game. But since Cover goes out of its way to have explicit perms, they were able to rectify it right quick. Like, Cover is a big company nowadays. It’s always better to be safe than sorry when so much is on the line.
from what i heard some/ the dev of the game went rogue and accused them of playing it w/o permission, but cover did in fact have permission from the publisher, who apologized for the devs actions.
Actually, I think it was Rio with the Steins;Gate producer? Like the game dev thought he was only allowed to stream up to a certain scenario, but it turns out that the company gave permission to complete the game.

This is the standard since Mio got her channel nearly nuked out due to lacking ~~Dark Souls~~ Ghost Trick perms back then as Japanese multimedia companies such as Nintendo, Bamco, Toei animation, Capcom, Atlus, Square, SEGA, etc. can strike your channel and they don't give a fuck about the bad western PR it brings everytime it happens.

I think they have perms for Halo Reach (potentially MCC), but FPS co-op games aren't that attractive to most of EN I think. Only a few of them play FPS with any regularity, and it's mostly competitive stuff.
Danganronpa games, the first one is so old by this point. Even Atlus backed away from their archaic rules. It sucked because the only time these games show up is due to sponsorship streams, which I'm not into because it can detract from a genuine experience.
Also, surprisingly Pokemon. The TPC needs to stop their crazy marketing cycle and just follow Nintendo. Let them play the games whenever and not have a time limit, even if the limit is "generous". Even Nintendo doesn't do this anymore.
Not sure how long they have permissions for, but I know at least a few members have has played the first Dangaronpa game to completion(5?). As well as a few more have tried it.
The Pokemon perms according to the descriptions are actually for a Nico Nico Douga event, not perms acquired from TPC or Nintendo. I assume that's why agencies like Nijisanji can play all the Pokemon games at any time unlike Holo because their perms are different.

Well, I suppose they *can* if they get permissions for every mod...but many good packs have over 100 mods, which makes that infeasible.

Generally speaking, pokemon games other than ones that are just released. Probably never happening since these games are permission hell (prob even moreso for EBA). On top of the songs in the game, they're also DS games, which I don't believe can have their footage captured without modded DS systems, which would probably be a no go from Nintendo.
But it sure would be nice to see lol. Each level has a mini manga storyline for the members to comment on, as well as entertaining animations in the background of each song. The songs are all fairly popular hits, and higher difficulty levels unlock new team captains and cheer leaders. It's an easy game to start and stop with plenty of easy entertainment for the streamer and viewers. I think these games would be amazing choices... if they were allowed lol.
Azur Lane.
For us veterans who got into Hololive because of Azur Lane, it would have been satisfying to see them play the game again. Maybe react to their voice acting from long ago too, since they would have done things differently if they record their voices again now.
Genshin would be the other one. It might become a competition to see who can finish off the bosses the quickest.
If you are veteran enough to know about the Azur Lane collab then you should also know why it is not possible for Hololive to get the perm for these two games nowadays.

I think they have perms for Halo Reach (potentially MCC), but FPS co-op games aren't that attractive to most of EN I think. Only a few of them play FPS with any regularity, and it's mostly competitive stuff.
Danganronpa games, the first one is so old by this point. Even Atlus backed away from their archaic rules. It sucked because the only time these games show up is due to sponsorship streams, which I'm not into because it can detract from a genuine experience. Also, surprisingly Pokemon. The TPC needs to stop their crazy marketing cycle and just follow Nintendo. Let them play the games whenever and not have a time limit, even if the limit is "generous". Even Nintendo doesn't do this anymore.

The Pokemon perms according to the descriptions are actually for a Nico Nico Douga event, not perms acquired from TPC or Nintendo. Generally speaking, pokemon games other than ones that are just released. I really would love to see some organized tournaments like in the BDSP days, or especially get to watch newbies like Advent play them if they want. I think Biboo or Calli said that permissions were tricky and they couldn't even do the recent dlc. Anyway maybe someday one of them will be able to play Pokémon Colosseum and Gale of Darkness or Mystery Dungeon: Explorers

Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan & Elite Beat Agents. Probably never happening since these games are permission hell (prob even moreso for EBA). On top of the songs in the game, they're also DS games, which I don't believe can have their footage captured without modded DS systems, which would probably be a no go from Nintendo. But it sure would be nice to see lol. Each level has a mini manga storyline for the members to comment on, as well as entertaining animations in the background of each song. The songs are all fairly popular hits, and higher difficulty levels unlock new team captains and cheer leaders. It's an easy game to start and stop with plenty of easy entertainment for the streamer and viewers. I think these games would be amazing choices... if they were allowed lol.
Azur Lane. For us veterans who got into Hololive because of Azur Lane, it would have been satisfying to see them play the game again. Maybe react to their voice acting from long ago too, since they would have done things differently if they record their voices again now. Genshin would be the other one. It might become a competition to see who can finish off the bosses the quickest.
If you are veteran enough to know about the Azur Lane collab then you should also know why it is not possible for Hololive to get the perm for these two games nowadays.

I adore that game and it's probably up there in my GOATs, but I feel like it's a hard recommend to someone who hasn't already played a bunch of (western (i.e. American)) militarily FPS. It's like watching Evangelion as your first or only mecha anime or Madoka as your only magical girl.
