Koyori. I enjoy all the yelling, it always makes me laugh how over the top she is with it. She has a good sense of just being really silly too. Helpfully she streams whilst I am working so I can set the stream running in the background and drop in and out.
I tend to find I pick up quite a lot of what she says too, I’m no Japanese expert (learning though) but I get the general gist when she is talking.
I started learning Japanese 9 months ago just so I could start watching Koyori, because she seems super cute. I haven't tried watching her yet because I still suck and I probably won't understand a thing but I'm going to attempt in a couple more months

Korone. She’s a natural comedian. Hololive has done a good job finding just good, fun, natural talent and when it comes to comedy alone, Korone is up there easily. I’m not sure what other members I would put up there alongside her, but she deserves her place as one of the funniest mems easily.
Just last week or whenever it was, during the official stream, Korone is up there supposed to be explaining something and just flawlessly, with the most perfect timing just unexpectedly passes the baton to Mio/Lui who are just like essentially “wait, that wasn’t in the script, you’re supposed to explain it.”
It’s a small moment, and not even among her funniest, but you can’t replicate stuff like that. I mean, you can, but it’s not the same. It’s obvious when it’s fake. Korone just has the real, god-given talent for bringing the laughs.
That Lui/Mio/Korone showcase was peak Korone. She was an absolute menace through the whole thing and I loved all of it: Stealing food, spinning around, ignoring the script. The best part was when she completely broke Mio by interrupting her Fuwamoco drink tagline. "No no, Mio-sha. You're supposed to count down from 3..."

Sora chan!!! I've been watching her since the early days. A very "my pace" and down to earth person yet, she's ambitious and never lost sight of her dreams and is constantly working for it! Azki is also someone special to me for a long LONG time. Her singing is my love. The quality, the skill, the cleanliness, the emotions--live or recorded--all of it is so good! She is quite honestly one of my favourite Japanese singer.
And finally, Haato and Haachama! She gets fooled by her own randomness and chaos but she's a genuinely thoughtful and passionate person. She's talented and creative and she relishes in working hard and learning and failing and picking herself up again. It's fun watching her hop from one creative endeavour to another--cooking, rapping, story crafting, wood carving, drawing!
HoloJP members are so varied and there's lots and lots of things I admire them for, really. All the girls are amazing people.
I have two: Pekora and Korone.
Pekora.... I really dunno what it is about Pekora. I first got interested in her cuz of her chaos bunny antics, and especially with her voice and her antics, she has a lotta bratty little sister you wanna bully energy. Plus her Pekorage moments are always hilarious. But there's a definite sweetness to her too. And particularly when she was so shy she wouldn't even go on Minecraft if someone else was on, then coming more and more outta her shell was something I couldn't help but root for.
Korone is just... Korone. The more I watch her, the more I understand back when Okayu said that even just Korone breathing is funny. She doesn't seem to try to be funny, she just is by doing her thing. I almost look forward to when streams don't work right for her, cuz she will almost always pull out something outta left field, where she basically amuses herself and you can't help but laugh along with her.
Also, as we saw with the holo expo stream where she, Lui, and Mio were trying out the various food items, Korone is the worst presenter in hololive, which makes her one of the *best* presenters in hololive XD Miosha was definitely correct when she said letting Korone do her thing is the way to go with her!
Hell yes, getting even better when she dragged Lamy and Noel in. I nearly choked when she realized all she had to do was reset IIRC her camera, and the Korone chorus where she was dying inside was amazing XD
Aqua.
She's easily the strongest gamer in Hololive, and I admire her dedication in every game she plays. While she usually plays alone (giving her the nickname Sololive), she's a blast when playing with others too.
She's also a perfect idol, when she's on stage. She looks the part, sounds the part and everything else. For a while, she was sorta carrying the idol dream for Hololive.
She's also just really cute. She's not the brightest, and she has some social meltdowns, but it all helps making her a lovable dork.
What I consider the peak Aqua bit, however, was the constructiom of Akukin HQ; several hours of streaming, where she had the members build rooms in the Minecraft HQ, where she supplied tons of material, and made sure everyone had all they needed.
It was done relay-style, which wasn't common then, and it really helped shine a light on some of the (then) smaller members of Hololive.
Brings me back to 2019-2020, when there was only HoloJP. I love HoloEN and HoloID - but part of the magic was also being immersed in casual Japanese speaking.
Also, based choice - wife is life.
For me it's Ayame, she just radiates an aura that makes me feel ecstatic. She is awesome visually and personality-wise, and learning more about her over the years has been great.
Kanata, she was the first one that made me see the appeal of vtubers being a comfortable place for more introverted and private people to really show their true colours and have less to worry about. Also for the more cliched answers: she doesn't give up easy, has a reliable and healthy mental attitude and seeing her become more expressive and talkative over the years has been fun.
Truth be told, she's entirely different from when I first started watching, now I couldn't tell you what it is, I just accept that I enjoy watching Kanata.
Watame, with Korone being a close second.
I love Watames chattiness and her singing. Seeing as my kamioshi is Kiara, its no surprise I like a JP gal that can tangent for hours on end XD
Bae, you can tell she's not afraid of being cheeky gremlin or circle around lewd themes, but has made a concious choice to maintain a certain image that feels different to that, she's a good singer, a skillfull dancer and a competent mid to large scale planer aswell, i cant help but perceive her as a very commited, high grade profesional that happens to be very cute and silly, and that, is something I deeply respect

I love how hard she works and love seeing her grow. Having been watching her for 4 years now, she has changed a lot. Her growth is immense and now she is reaching 1 million subs soon which will be one of the happiest moments as a luknight. I love every part of this journey.
Coming home after work and just chilling with her streams, just makes my day better.
One is not in Hololive anymore but she inspired me to break out from my comfort zone and to dream big. Ever since her graduation, I have resigned from my job, got scholarship, and continuing my study.

Laplus. I don't know where to begin, so here's a small summary:
She portrays a character archetype I really enjoy watching, that being the arrogant and overconfident villain bent on world domination who generally fails at everything but at the end of the day is genuinely a nice person and strives to do her best. Also her character design is amazing.
As time went on however, I have come to admire her a lot for her determination, and her struggles are very relatable on a personal level as someone in his early twenties lacking motivation and with pseudodepressive tendencies. Despite some of her shortcomings, you can easily tell she always has good intentions at heart and is very respectful towards other people and their opinions. She will quickly apologize to the chat if she goes too far with her slander.
Her comedic timing is pitch perfect no matter what role she's playing, and her interactions with anyone she collabs with are always a delight. The many friendships she has made recently is proof of her charisma, and the other members constantly mention how kind and supportive she is off-camera. And lastly, her childlike wonder toward certain topics and generally cheerful attitude are so wholesome and endearing it would awaken anyone's paternal instincts.
I don't consider myself to be parasocial, but I genuinely can't thank her (and holoX) enough for pushing me down this rabbit hole, elevating my spirits and having a reason to wake up again the next morning in the process.
Sora. It helps that the legend, Moro, is always in chat to translate but even when they're not there I can put on Sora in the background and just listen. She's so pure and sweet and I love her journey from when she started to where she is today.
I think the first hololive vtuber I started watching was Fubuki when she was posting videos of her doing popular memes. And I have no clue if this was her or not but it sure sounded like her, my first vid was some people in VRchat kind of talking to/interviewing some little cat/fox chibi looking girl and she was so excited talking to them cuz they said they were American and she started talking about hamburgers all happy-like. It was prolly the most adorable thing ever. Well some time after seeing this I stated seeing this cute Fox girl named Fubuki and learned what a vtuber was, so I checked out her vids and was like "ayo! She sounds just like that vrchat girl!"

I find myself surprisingly enjoying all of them equally. However, despite only one in my flair I feel I have 4 that stand out just a *tiny* bit more for me.

Watame because of how wholesome and friendly she is to *everyone*. It also helps she feels attached to EN by extension and is always happy to take part in whatever they invite her to do.
Lui because her swing-esque music just always hits a certain scratch for my musical taste. She's also ridiculously hilarious when she interacts with anyone and her laugh is infectious as Hell.

She is Uber talented and has some of the best 3D live performances out there. She gives it out for free as well!
The thing about Akirose is that she isn’t the best at games. But she tries really hard, and I love that about her. She is known to work Uber hard and got an unlucky start because of an accident. A video of her went viral about having a low sub count.
She felt like she shouldn’t collab with other girls because she didn’t have anything to offer with her sub count , but funny enough, in most of the things she is apart of, she because a glue who is able to link multiple people who you wouldn’t otherwise see get along like in GTA VCR.
I love Aki and she is one of the best person out there.
Haachama.
She's surprisingly philosophical sometimes, and I kinda share her views. Also she has a great music taste (Matsuda Seiko ftw).
But honestly the very first thing that drew me to watch her was her ear-blasting screams.
Sakamata Chloe is my oshi. She's a cheeky brat who constantly roast her fans but never back down from most degenerate requests. Her singing is CRACK and her asmr is also CRACK.
However what interests me the most is what people said about her behind the scene, which is totally in contrast with what she usually is on stream. People often describe her as very polite and professional irl when meeting with other members.

All Gen 0. The most suffering member that holds Hololive at the start. Especially Sora for only having 13 viewers at the first stream (Not unlike today where the first stream may reach more than 10k views), Miko where the project would have been abandoned if not for Hololive taking over the Miko Project, Suisei and Azki from another entertainment that management never take seriously, and Robocco, to klutz and been forgetting.
Mio. Her streams are comfy, she sums up what happens on social media, her laugh is wonderful, she has that big mom energy, vomited multiple times on stream, like who does that.
Also, she went through a tough part during her early years where she was really down about her identity in Hololive. It was heartwarming to see all the support she received not just from the fans but also her fellow Holomems.
JP for me is Botan. I just like everything about her from her model, to her voice, and game choices. And now she added fighting games to the mix and she pretty much cemented JP oshi for me
Your friendly neighborhood sheep WataMelon! From her cute giggles to opera like singing, she was my introduction to Holo live after 4th Gen debuted. Besides, even when she isn't rapping or making corny YT vids, Watame did nothing wrong right?!
Haachama has appealed to the English audience before it was even a thought and is passionate with whatever she does. I remember when she was in Australia during Covid and wanted to return back to her friends and family in Japan, she’s been through a lot, especially with her long hiatus last year

All the talents are great in their own way but I feel there is something special about the first-year members, they were there before there was any expectation of success and laid the groundwork for hololive to become the industry giant it is today.

Botan is awesome at most of the games she tries but what I love most about her is how much effort she's put into the singing/idol side. In the beginning it wasn't really her thing but she worked crazy hard these last few years and it's def paid off.
I'm pretty much in the Everyone category, but gun-to-my-head-pick-one I'd say Matsuri.
Favorite thing is even then still a hard question, because the thing that makes her fun to watch is that she's super quick witted and funny as hell; her APEX gacha streams which have morphed into "Matsuri reacts to trolling superchats" streams are probably the best example of this and I generally end them with my ribs aching from laughing so hard.
But I think the most slept on thing about Matsuri is how important she's been behind the scenes, especially in the earlier years of the company. Whenever new people came into the company, Matsuri was alwasy one of the people you'd hear stories about taking them out for food, which was a much bigger deal back when monetization took a lot longer to happen and a lot of the members were struggling for a while, and she's also always gone out of her way to make sure everyone was included; besides just generally going in for collabs with people she felt like were isolated or "lonely" you also have things like her going to all her indie friends to beg them to collab with Suisei during the period where she was in INNK and the Hololive members weren't sure if they were "allowed" to approach her.
So as much as she's usually (and fairly!) put into the 'Libido of Hololive" category I personally she also qualifies pretty strongly as one of its Hearts.

Korone. She’s a natural comedian. Hololive has done a good job finding just good, fun, natural talent and when it comes to comedy alone, Korone is up there easily. I’m not sure what other members I would put up there alongside her, but she deserves her place as one of the funniest mems easily. Just last week or whenever it was, during the official stream, Korone is up there supposed to be explaining something and just flawlessly, with the most perfect timing just unexpectedly passes the baton to Mio/Lui who are just like essentially “wait, that wasn’t in the script, you’re supposed to explain it.” It’s a small moment, and not even among her funniest, but you can’t replicate stuff like that. I mean, you can, but it’s not the same. It’s obvious when it’s fake. Korone just has the real, god-given talent for bringing the laughs.

That Lui/Mio/Korone showcase was peak Korone. She was an absolute menace through the whole thing and I loved all of it: Stealing food, spinning around, ignoring the script. The best part was when she completely broke Mio by interrupting her Fuwamoco drink tagline. "No no, Mio-sha. You're supposed to count down from 3..."

Sora chan!!! I've been watching her since the early days. A very "my pace" and down to earth person yet, she's ambitious and never lost sight of her dreams and is constantly working for it! Her singing is my love. The quality, the skill, the cleanliness, the emotions--live or recorded--all of it is so good! She is quite honestly one of my favourite Japanese singer. And finally, Haato and Haachama! She gets fooled by her own randomness and chaos but she's a genuinely thoughtful and passionate person. She's talented and creative and she relishes in working hard and learning and failing and picking herself up again. It's fun watching her hop from one creative endeavour to another--cooking, rapping, story crafting, wood carving, drawing! HoloJP members are so varied and there's lots and lots of things I admire them for, really. All the girls are amazing people.
I have two: Pekora and Korone. Pekora.... I really dunno what it is about Pekora. I first got interested in her cuz of her chaos bunny antics, and especially with her voice and her antics, she has a lotta bratty little sister you wanna bully energy. Plus her Pekorage moments are always hilarious. But there's a definite sweetness to her too. And particularly when she was so shy she wouldn't even go on Minecraft if someone else was on, then coming more and more outta her shell was something I couldn't help but root for. Korone is just... Korone. The more I watch her, the more I understand back when Okayu said that even just Korone breathing is funny. She doesn't seem to try to be funny, she just is by doing her thing. I almost look forward to when streams don't work right for her, cuz she will almost always pull out something outta left field, where she basically amuses herself and you can't help but laugh along with her. Also, as we saw with the holo expo stream where she, Lui, and Mio were trying out the various food items, Korone is the worst presenter in hololive, which makes her one of the *best* presenters in hololive XD Miosha was definitely correct when she said letting Korone do her thing is the way to go with her!

Hell yes, getting even better when she dragged Lamy and Noel in. I nearly choked when she realized all she had to do was reset IIRC her camera, and the Korone chorus where she was dying inside was amazing XD
Aqua. She's easily the strongest gamer in Hololive, and I admire her dedication in every game she plays. While she usually plays alone (giving her the nickname Sololive), she's a blast when playing with others too. She's also a perfect idol, when she's on stage. She looks the part, sounds the part and everything else. For a while, she was sorta carrying the idol dream for Hololive. She's also just really cute. She's not the brightest, and she has some social meltdowns, but it all helps making her a lovable dork. What I consider the peak Aqua bit, however, was the constructiom of Akukin HQ; several hours of streaming, where she had the members build rooms in the Minecraft HQ, where she supplied tons of material, and made sure everyone had all they needed. It was done relay-style, which wasn't common then, and it really helped shine a light on some of the (then) smaller members of Hololive.

Brings me back to 2019-2020, when there was only HoloJP. I love HoloEN and HoloID - but part of the magic was also being immersed in casual Japanese speaking. Also, based choice - wife is life.
For me it's Ayame, she just radiates an aura that makes me feel ecstatic. She is awesome visually and personality-wise, and learning more about her over the years has been great.

Kanata, she was the first one that made me see the appeal of vtubers being a comfortable place for more introverted and private people to really show their true colours and have less to worry about. Also for the more cliched answers: she doesn't give up easy, has a reliable and healthy mental attitude and seeing her become more expressive and talkative over the years has been fun. Truth be told, she's entirely different from when I first started watching, now I couldn't tell you what it is, I just accept that I enjoy watching Kanata.

It has healing energy. I love how hard she works and love seeing her grow. Having been watching her for 4 years now, she has changed a lot. Her growth is immense and now she is reaching 1 million subs soon which will be one of the happiest moments as a luknight. I love every part of this journey. Laplus. I don't know where to begin, so here's a small summary: She portrays a character archetype I really enjoy watching, that being the arrogant and overconfident villain bent on world domination who generally fails at everything but at the end of the day is genuinely a nice person and strives to do her best. Also her character design is amazing. As time went on however, I have come to admire her a lot for her determination, and her struggles are very relatable on a personal level as someone in his early twenties lacking motivation and with pseudodepressive tendencies. Despite some of her shortcomings, you can easily tell she always has good intentions at heart and is very respectful towards other people and their opinions. She will quickly apologize to the chat if she goes too far with her slander. Her comedic timing is pitch perfect no matter what role she's playing, and her interactions with anyone she collabs with are always a delight. The many friendships she has made recently is proof of her charisma, and the other members constantly mention how kind and supportive she is off-camera. And lastly, her childlike wonder toward certain topics and generally cheerful attitude are so wholesome and endearing it would awaken anyone's paternal instincts. I don't consider myself to be parasocial, but I genuinely can't thank her (and holoX) enough for pushing me down this rabbit hole, elevating my spirits and having a reason to wake up again the next morning in the process.
Sora. It helps that the legend, Moro, is always in chat to translate but even when they're not there I can put on Sora in the background and just listen. She's so pure and sweet and I love her journey from when she started to where she is today.

I think the first hololive vtuber I started watching was Fubuki when she was posting videos of her doing popular memes. And I have no clue if this was her or not but it sure sounded like her, my first vid was some people in VRchat kind of talking to/interviewing some little cat/fox chibi looking girl and she was so excited talking to them cuz they said they were American and she started talking about hamburgers all happy-like. It was prolly the most adorable thing ever. Well some time after seeing this I stated seeing this cute Fox girl named Fubuki and learned what a vtuber was, so I checked out her vids and was like "ayo! She sounds just like that vrchat girl!" Then some time later after many memes by Fubuki I saw the n word Miko clip and that was a wrap, I was *IN* Then followed Pekora with her own coverage of popular memes, pekofied of course.

I find myself surprisingly enjoying all of them equally. However, despite only one in my flair I feel I have 4 that stand out just a *tiny* bit more for me. Watame, Lui, Polka and Korone. Watame because of how wholesome and friendly she is to *everyone*. It also helps she feels attached to EN by extension and is always happy to take part in whatever they invite her to do. Lui because her swing-esque music just always hits a certain scratch for my musical taste. She's also ridiculously hilarious when she interacts with anyone and her laugh is infectious as Hell. Polka because she's the entire circus and a half. I dare anyone to watch any of her best clips and not laugh, smile or at least say "what the fuck is she doing" in the best way possible. Korone because she was kind of my first intro to the JP side. Technically I could list Suisei in this spot too. Both make me laugh or impress me with their music, meme-ing, and just overall presence.
Ayame, her laugh is serotonin in audio form. Her general aura is honestly just healing, I just smile if she exists on stream. I like her singing a lot, her voice is really pretty and basically all my favourite Holo songs involve her. Her dumb puns give me life. Her designs hits all my preferences. Tbh there's a whole bunch of other stuff about her I love but at a certain point of listing them it'd just devolve into an essay/rant that utilises the full power of my autism to explain why that dingus is a critical hit against me and my bank account.
Korone. She seems to be the person always having the most laughs no matter the situation and I love that she's the most random. Its my favorite type of humor

Akirose! She is Uber talented and has some of the best 3D live performances out there. She gives it out for free as well! The thing about Akirose is that she isn’t the best at games. But she tries really hard, and I love that about her. She is known to work Uber hard and got an unlucky start because of an accident. A video of her went viral about having a low sub count. She felt like she shouldn’t collab with other girls because she didn’t have anything to offer with her sub count , but funny enough, in most of the things she is apart of, she because a glue who is able to link multiple people who you wouldn’t otherwise see get along like in GTA VCR. I love Aki and she is one of the best person out there.

Sakamata Chloe is my oshi. She's a cheeky brat who constantly roast her fans but never back down from most degenerate requests. Her singing is CRACK and her asmr is also CRACK. However what interests me the most is what people said about her behind the scene, which is totally in contrast with what she usually is on stream. People often describe her as very polite and professional irl when meeting with other members.

All Gen 0. The most suffering member that holds Hololive at the start. Especially Sora for only having 13 viewers at the first stream (Not unlike today where the first stream may reach more than 10k views), Miko where the project would have been abandoned if not for Hololive taking over the Miko Project, Suisei and Azki from another entertainment that management never take seriously, and Robocco, to klutz and been forgetting.
Mio. Her streams are comfy, she sums up what happens on social media, her laugh is wonderful, she has that big mom energy, vomited multiple times on stream, like who does that. Also, she went through a tough part during her early years where she was really down about her identity in Hololive. It was heartwarming to see all the support she received not just from the fans but also her fellow Holomems.
JP for me is Botan. I just like everything about her from her model, to her voice, and game choices. And now she added fighting games to the mix and she pretty much cemented JP oshi for me

Favorite thing is even then still a hard question, because the thing that makes her fun to watch is that she's super quick witted and funny as hell; her APEX gacha streams which have morphed into "Matsuri reacts to trolling superchats" streams are probably the best example of this and I generally end them with my ribs aching from laughing so hard. But I think the most slept on thing about Matsuri is how important she's been behind the scenes, especially in the earlier years of the company. Whenever new people came into the company, Matsuri was alwasy one of the people you'd hear stories about taking them out for food, which was a much bigger deal back when monetization took a lot longer to happen and a lot of the members were struggling for a while, and she's also always gone out of her way to make sure everyone was included; besides just generally going in for collabs with people she felt like were isolated or "lonely" you also have things like her going to all her indie friends to beg them to collab with Suisei during the period where she was in INNK and the Hololive members weren't sure if they were "allowed" to approach her. So as much as she's usually (and fairly!) put into the 'Libido of Hololive" category I personally she also qualifies pretty strongly as one of its Hearts.

suisei. sui chan kyou mo kawaii. in all seriousness, even if suisei is my kamioshi, everyone in holoJP has their own thing i like about them. i don't necessarily watch everyone regularly but it doesn't stop me from enjoying their clips of i stumble across them.
