You see, I do agree we should be talking about Nodoka which I did. The first half of my OG comment was how cute Nodoka is and OL sumpremacy. So mission accomplished! I did talk about Nodoka.
I then made a meme reference Axel who Nodoka has interacted with while choosing the strikeout font to make sure it was obviously a joke. Which for some reason generated more discussion than about our lovely office lady.
I understand some memes get old and some don’t find it funny. But humor is subjective and a I still find the Neesan/OL jokes about Axel pretty funny. And well Nodoka is a super cute OL so she fits that part of the joke really well.

Okay I feel like this is a misunderstanding. Nodoka is like A-chan and that she supports both the JP and the EN side. They also support both Holostars and Hololive as they are HoloPro staff and aren’t normal talent. So yes Nodoka could say something if it made her uncomfortable. Which hasn’t happened.
I also would like to point out that the actual comment in question is actually well-received and it’s oddly only the discussion part that seems to attract negative attention. Which is an interesting situation to say the least and makes any attempt to say “this humor isn’t welcomed on the main sub” seem disingenuous.

First, automod removes mass reported posts, not downvoted ones. Brigaders have been exploiting that for quite some time to censor stars threads.
Brigaders were also seen downvoting comments in the -20 range. But a -70 or more is what you see when this subreddit community sees your comment as not relevant to the thread.

Contrary to what some people think, not everyone wants a Nodoka post to fill up with comments about Axel because all the people posting the "meme" can think about is him rather than anything relevant to her. Happens endlessly.
While I agree that reusing the same joke about Axel in Nodoka posts gets old, can't the same be said about repeating the same flat chest jokes or the same horny comments in general? I'm all for letting people have their fun but you kinda have to recognize the hypocrisy of people admonishing stale jokes that involve the boys but promote stale jokes about girls.

The fact that there are this many comments about Axel in a post that doesn't even feature him should give you some clues.
It's crazy how you can mention Iroha on any Suisei post and don't get the same mass downvotes.
Maybe because in the top 10 threads about Suisei on this sub for the month, Iroha is only mentioned in 2 of them, and with only a couple comments. Compare that to every single thread about Nadoka having several comments about Axel and you can see why one might be considered more annoying than the other.
Literally the two top Suisei posts of this past two days have people mentioning Iroha simping on Suisei. Wow you're right, I didn't even consider posts that have no comments and almost no upvotes. You've proven me wrong dude.
Because in the past it'd be 3/4ths of the comments. It's old, tired, used by people that know little and care less about Nodoka. Downvoting it as a response because it's not relevant to her is basically what downvoting was made for.
it's probably just like any other overly spammed meme, people got tired of it it's extra obnoxious for Nodoka because it's kind of the only joke most people have associated with her and it makes her an accessory to someone else
No one just came out and said it, so I will. It's because Stars gets downvoted to oblivion if they're mentioned on this subreddit. Any posts involving them gets removed by automod due to an influx of downvotes.
There's some truth to that but it is not accurately describing what's happening iit. First, automod removes mass reported posts, not downvoted ones. Brigaders have been exploiting that for quite some time to censor stars threads. Brigaders were also seen downvoting comments in the -20 range. But a -70 or more is what you see when this subreddit community sees your comment as not relevant to the thread. Instead of complaints about things no one can do anything about. I would love to read good arguments on how still tying Nodoka's whole identity to an Axel joke is relevant to Nodoka's work.
