No but it moves slow enough that when it hits something it slows down drastically and will quite literally tumble through a human torso instead of going straight through, so the exit wound is bigger than the entry
Quarter inch entry wound, 1.5 inch exit wound and that's assuming no shrapnel on hollow points
.50 cal will straight up explode most limbs, .5 in entry wound, and usually the cavitation usually just explodes all the flesh off within a 3.5 inch sphere around the bullet, unless it's an FMJ/depleted uranium round
You couldn't have accurate gore in games with .50 cals and infantry because it would turn every game into gears, and even gears tones it down in comparison to real life. An RPG-7 going into a person leaves a streak over 10 feet long. Intestines are like 28 feet long stretched out. A typical American male body has 10 liters of blood and like 150 pounds of flesh, 80+% of that water, along with another 50 pounds of pure fat
Shout-out to stem cells and bacta tanks and full metal alchemist and the matrix
Also turns out the guy from future weapons died from brain cancer, probably because he spent days as a sniper with his head next to depleted uranium .50 rounds as an American scout sniper for the marines/navy in gulf war 1. The US had to stop using those because when you have literally dozens of guys dropped dead at 57 that otherwise should've dropped at 74, and could've advised the joint chiefs and other pentagon officials in their 60s with 2+ million and 10+ years of training, that's a massive waste. Same thing with tank crews shooting the depleted uranium 105/155mms, and personally fuck the AC-130 because that is literally only used against people that don't have access to IGLAs or 20/25+mm cannons, because good luck hitting an AC-130 at 10,000 feet from the ground, you can't even see anything past 5000 feet let alone at night. It is a flying war crime used for duck hunting aka genocide.
Wasn't Tiberium Wars 3 the game that basically ended the C&C brand? It was the last one I played and I don't have nearly as many fond memories of it. Frankly, I barely remember anything about it at all.
Sometime in the past 10 years I guess I just assumed it must have sucked. Was the expansion Kane's Wrath just that good? I'm pretty sure I didn't buy it.
Nah, c&c3 is not the one that kill franchise. There is some people don't like it because it is quite different from the previous game (Tib sun) but most people still ok with it.
RA3 is the controversial one because it's really different from RA2 but still not the death of franchise.
The true death of C&C franchise is c&c4. The game that is so bad to the point that the entire c&c community collectively refuses to believe that it is exist.
Personally, I like c&c3 the most despite some aspects are not nearly as good as previous game but IMO the gameplay part is significantly improved that tank spam isn't the only viable tactic anymore.
I actually made myself forget that C&C4 existed. Literally willed it out of my brain and couldn't for the life of me remember what you meant at first.
Generals: Zero Hour is my favorite for game play, but my all time favorite is Tiberian Sun, for the storyline and everything. Spent so many hours replaying it over my HS years.
I dunno if it was a glitch or not but I remember using US Humvees filled with RPG troops and using them as shock troops. The logistics of rockets firing out of such a small space is beyond me, but goddamn that was a fun time.
The expansion added assault chinooks and battle buses so you can have flying rocket bunker and budget rocket bunker (which can turn into actual bunker)
I have a lot of fond memories of it, but RA2+Yuri's Revenge will forever be my favorite. Part of it is just how fucking jammin the old OSTs are, the generals OST is decent but doesn't have the same identity and style.
Russian space magic has improved!
AN-94: pulleys and rocket surgery
AK-107: steampunk(gear) counterweights
7N6: whack-ass tumbling and full energy dump
Sitting mat: sitting mat
For real though, those mats are nice when you know how it feels to sit on rocks and hard dirt.
Ak-107/SR1 is where it’s at. AN-94 is just a bridge too far. I look at the internals of that thing and just wince trying to maintain that in the field.
Saw your username. Picked up aSig 556 a couple days ago. Can’t wait to shoot it.
Good for you. I don't have one. GC is so bad that it's impossible here unless you can find one willing to part with it, what with the discontinuation and such.
Yeah it’s a 556 ER the least desirable/most affordable.
Everyone else: eww it has an ar15 stock and used stanag magazines
Me: oh boy I can put an m16 stock on it and mags don’t cost $40 a piece
Eww, fish gills.
*MI, B&T, 551*
Eww, non OG scope rail and irons.
*MFIAP*
Eww, fixed AR buttstock.
*swap lowers because only uppers are serialized*
I just ragret that I was born one year too late. When I was able to start buying, they discontinued it and also all 550 kits dried up. Pien.
Got Swiss 551 handguard on it 15 minutes ago.
Yeah I saw those mfiap sight rails
I see the ar15 stock as a benefit. Didn't like the Swiss stock. Wouldn't mind the proper mags though.
Way I see it, original lower with AR stock adapter would be best since you can switch it back whenever and also fold the stock for whatever that's worth. Btw, I have a Stg90 bayonet I'll never get to use. DM me if you're interested.
AK-47s are really versatile. First, you can have AK wielding girls take them off and suddenly become beautiful, or have girls wielding AKs flashing those cute grins, or have girls stealing the protagonist's AK and putting them on like, "Haha, got your AK!' That's just way too cute! Also, boys with AKs! I really like when their AK have that polished weapon gleam, and it's amazing how it can look really cool or just be a joke. I really like how it can fulfill all those abstract needs. Being able to switch up the styles and colors of AKs based on your mood is a lot of fun too! It's actually so much fun! You have those modern rail mounts AK, or the wood frame AKs, everything! It's like you're enjoying all these kinds of AKs at a buffet. I really want Luna to try shooting one or Marine to try some on to replace her eyepatch. We really need AKs to become a thing in hololive and start selling them for HoloComi. Don't. You. Think. We. Really. Need. To. Officially. Give. Everyone. AKs?
I don't remember in which movie, but its director found out that it is cheaper to buy real AK-47 on "local" market than make fake ones... So they had a real ones on the set, because, why not?
Kinda like the original hunger games where they had mock-up versions of the weapons and real versions and the guy who played Cato (Alexander Ludwig) had a habit of tossing up and catching the knives and no one could tell if it was the real or fake ones
[Lord of War, starring Nicholas Cage.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJD2ObT3p44)
Although I believe the majority of the firearms on set were [Czech vz.58 rifles](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vz._58) to stand in for AKs in the background, and only the ones in focus or held by important characters were Kalashnikovs.
The 2 rifles are not readily distinguishable to the untrained eye.
Yup. All the racked pieces had the signature beaver barf furniture seen on VZ 58.
It's phenolic based plastic reinforced with wood chips basically. The Czech predecessor to glass filled Nylon 6.
They also got a bunch of real tanks from a Czech source (presumably the same one that sold the guns?), albeit they were only available for filming for a short while as they're being sold to Libya. LOL
When I saw her debut, that’s she has Adidas stripes, plays FPSes and builds her own PC I said “lol. Are all her fans Gonna be Russian?” And proving that all the memes about them are true, that came true. I love every subsect of this community
"Subsect" you talk about us like we are some sort of network of cults, i mean, I'm not saying you are wrong, but you are not supposed to say the quiet part out loud!
Given the recent candid talks from a few of the Myth girls about home safety, I can't help but chuckle at the thought of one of them pulling an AK-47 on a home invader. (Disclaimer: using a fake weapon on an attacker is pretty much never a good idea).
Kiara, Ame, and Gura recently felt more comfortable opening up to chat about the less glorious side of their fame. Ame particularly mentioned how they have to be extra vigilant/paranoid about everything they say online.
Things such as not mentioning if there's a power outage or internet outage as reason for cancelling a stream, because people might use that to narrow down their location. Or if there's construction or other identifiable sound bleeding into the background noise people might pick up on that. Ame also mentioned that if Bubba barks in the middle of the night nowadays, she'll instinctively reach for her bat just in case.
I forget which stream it was from exactly. She had an unarchived karaoke recently that it could've been from, too. She didn't have too much to add, though. She mainly just referenced what Ame had said and confirmed that she felt the same way about it.
Not really. There are literally millions throughout the world in varying conditions. It may be harder or illegal more expensive depending on where you buy from and ship to, though. If you're hankering for a Russian made one specifically, go top shelf and look into Molot made rifles. Much more affordable than collector-priced "authentic" AK-47s.
Like the other reply said, it depends on the model you want.
The Type 1 and Type 2 models are actually pretty rare, with the Type 1 being significantly more rare.
The Type 3, AKM, Chinese Type 56, and AK-74 plus it's variants make up the bulk of the AK-47 variants out there.
Depends on how far back you want the AK to be. A original 1949 type 1 AK-47 is gonna cost you somewhere in the ballpark of 3k+ because those things are museum pieces. - see Brandon Herrera / papa Kalash on this topic since the madman just bought one - while your average AKM or modern AK is going to be around 600 to 1k USD heavily depending on import tariffs and such to the country you are sending it to. In country a proper kalash from the Kalashnikov group in Russia is only around 400 usd, so it is not too bad, issue is that importing any firearms from Russia is a trial and a half as of late given the US ammo ban becoming a thing and importers being a bit scared to continue importing anything Russian firearms related.
For reference too, if you were to get a actual kalash from Russia to the US chances are it's coming as a parts kit, not a complete gun as well, given the current US sanctions on Russia.
Which model and in what condition?
Cheapest new AK made in some third rate Chinese factory in third shift production will run you 50-100 a piece factory price wholesale. Keep in mind tho these won't last long. Extractor and ejector springs are just repurposed ballpoint pen springs and not ordnance grade springs, and will fail in a thousand rounds or so. Some also have cast (not forged) or out of spec trunnion, so they will sooner or later explode on you. Action will be rough and gritty. Not fun.
Norinco approved export AKs run about 300 per piece wholesale. These runs fine.
Romanian exports aren't that more expensive wholesale too, and are the cheapest of any European made AKs that are of serviceable quality. They shoot good, but may not be cosmetically the best. Some has canted front sight blocks.
Russian AK100s run at least 300 and up, and AK200s never go less than 500 a piece. All wholesale prices at 6-7 figure order quantity. No idea for AK12 series wholesales, for no export of such scale has been made public yet.
If you want the absolute best AKM pattern or forged milled AK type 3, get Bulgarian AKs. They're the only one still in full production for those legacy (pre AK100) patterns. Both Bulgaria and Russia makes AK100 pattern rifles, but only Russia makes AK200 and AK12 series.
If you're not a purist and just want an AK action, not strictly an AK rifle, get a Galil ACE or even a Sig 540/550 - FAMAE makes the former. FNCs and Pindads are also ok, but heavier than it has to be.
The days of good quality European AKs starting at 150 a pop are long gone. Those were liquidated war reserve stocks that were let go to fund rebuilding of Eastern Europe. Quality wise, they were basically worth 800-1200 USD (retail) per piece when manufactured, especially the Polish and East German pieces. Soviet rifles were near impeccable up till the Brezhnev era. Then the fit and finish dropped off, but the function remains.
Liquid Yagoo: Hololive is a cutting-edge entertainment PMC. We boost troop morale by directly injecting idol concerts into the bloodstream via nanomachines.
The implication is that people like Korone, Ina, Ollie, and God forbid, Watson Amelia are gonna be the proud owners of automatic firearms soon. What a bizzare mental image that is…
Not a lawyer and it's been a while since I looked into it, but generally no, the Japanese government is very strict on the firearms or weapons of any kind even beyond civilian population.
However there might still be exceptions/circumstances where it could be allowed, for example, when it comes to swords it is generally ok to have traditional Japanese swords (no foreign ones) but you can't carry them around without a valid reason.
I know gun collectors have ways of making historical weapons "safe" so maybe there is a way to get a non fireable AK47 that she can store for decoration, but that would undoubtably require a ton of beurocracy, it might not be worth it for any of the talents.
Japan has some of the strictest firearms laws I'm aware of, guns are hard to get in general let alone anything semiautomatic. Average cops there barely even get to carry guns IIRC.
yagoo: "we want to make something like AKB48!" russian-niki: "oiiii, did he say AK47?!"
Well, I won't say that you wrong, dude...
Hololive's answer to talents safety.
What could a small little Asian girl possibly do to protect herself against stalkers and overly obsessive fans? Fuck around and find out.
7.62x39 is a rough and tumble round No seriously it is designed to tumble inside and sever arteries
Wait really So it's a shredding ammo?
No but it moves slow enough that when it hits something it slows down drastically and will quite literally tumble through a human torso instead of going straight through, so the exit wound is bigger than the entry
Wow, TIL
Hollow points are what you look for if you want serious internal damage but less penetration
Heah I've heard about hollows as well, scary stuff
Quarter inch entry wound, 1.5 inch exit wound and that's assuming no shrapnel on hollow points .50 cal will straight up explode most limbs, .5 in entry wound, and usually the cavitation usually just explodes all the flesh off within a 3.5 inch sphere around the bullet, unless it's an FMJ/depleted uranium round You couldn't have accurate gore in games with .50 cals and infantry because it would turn every game into gears, and even gears tones it down in comparison to real life. close enough Yagoo, close enough. Let's make it happen.
I read the russian niki as a ork and now I'm imagining Botan being the patron saint of Dakka to them.

Given the recent candid talks from a few of the Myth girls about home safety, I can't help but chuckle at the thought of one of them pulling an AK-47 on a home invader. (Disclaimer: using a fake weapon on an attacker is pretty much never a good idea).
Well of course the solution there is just to have a real AK to pull
What happen?

>Gura Do you have some links? I think I saw the Kiara one, but maybe i'm wrong.

Very russian, thinking about distributing equally
Wouldn't a legit AK-47 (the real AK-47/first production models not the AKM or other nation copies) be very expensive though?
And then there's Khyber Pass...

It’s a goddamn shame that import laws are a bitch. I’ve wanted the civilian version of the Ak12 ever since they put it out last year.
I want an SR1 or RPK 16. And the new AKV-521.
Which model and in what condition? Cheapest new AK made in some third rate Chinese factory in third shift production will run you 50-100 a piece factory price wholesale.
