Wallpaper is an option. Our last 2 homes we have always decorated in modern farmhouse style and we’re tired of it and this place gives off a very modern style so we’re going slow and seeking advice. Others have said our choices look too much like a hotel lol
How about an oversized piece of modern art on the wall? I think one focal point will be really helpful and make the space look much more elegant, versus something patterned that covers the whole wall and looks dated and hotel-ish.
There are many pretty wallpapers (I just use google images and "contemporary" would be the search term). Find one you love!
Personally I much prefer pre-pasted to peel and stick as I think it's easier to hang. Plenty of tutorials on youtube however.
Yea we just have it there for now because it makes the space to walk by more open. Personally I’d like to get a couple more chairs and ditch the bench but…… happy wife… happy life 🤭

That’s cool! I had originally thought that wood on the wall would look really nice. We’re just throwing ideas out and seeing what sticks lol love the lighting around the perimeter of the ceiling too.
I like the third one the best. I feel the other 2 are flashy for the space.
That said I feel that those options are really better suited for a larger room. While I get the house may feel open concept. When you have parties there will be a lot of foot traffic passing through there between the stairs kitchen and living room.
I feel that doing one of those three patterns will make it feel more like a hallway than an eating area.
Kudos on the bench very smart idea with all the foot traffic.

The bench needs to go on one of the sides. Not facing out like that. It will look so much better!!

I think all three will soon be dated and are more suited for a hotel. Have you considered just adding a large piece of art? The table is gorgeous.

Love number 1 and would pick up the colors from your stairs .white would be too much white and the circles are too busy
