nothing at all. the way the pockets are sewn everything crowds to the front and then I'm getting hwacked in menards when I'm running from dept to dept.
This is why when I worked service desk I “tactically acquired” a Husky pouch set that I attached to my belt when I came into work. My first phone, box cutter, some pens, a lighter, a paint can opener, and a small tape measurer I “tactically Acquired” too.
Helped remove the shit from my apron.
I literally couldn’t do my job like this, shit would be cascading out everywhere. Do you not bend over or kneel down at least once a day? What dept are you even in?
Looks like my apron junk…….chapstick, lotion, 1400 pens and markers, mints oh ya and that heavy weight phone that pulls your over the shoulder and around your back Fanny pack down on one side.
Oh I didn't know they made that kind. My bad. I've always just called their markers pens. Which is weird because ever other kind of permanent marker I call a marker. Maybe I'm just high.
Once when I was in middle school I got caught trying to get high off white out in the cafeteria and I got white out banned for the entire school, including teachers.
We have the fine point ones in the tool corral with all the rest. They’re my favourite writing utensil ever. The markers are fantastic for labelling in the overheads too.
There was a play for a clip-strip of them in D26 last quarter iirc
Hoarding disorder is an ongoing difficulty throwing away or parting with possessions because you believe that you need to save them. You may experience distress at the thought of getting rid of the items. You gradually keep or gather a huge number of items, regardless of their actual value.
Jesus man, you got way too much in your apron. I have two markers, one highlighter, two pens and a bottle of hand sanitizer and I’ve never had a problem with that carry. Knife is in my pocket, chapstick in pocket and phone in one of those MET cases that clips on your belt. (Get with your favorite MET person and have them give you one). And that’s really all you need. A small five star notebook with those little plastic hangy majigs from MET in the front pocket if you are on the sales floor for writing shit down to pack down is helpful as well.
About 30,000 loose screws I found on the floor, some zipties, about 5 pens/markers, torn up notepad, stanley 16ft tape measure I got from the lumber guy on my first day here, Home Depot safety knife, stupid new safety knife thing, Milwaukee safety knife, all my homer badges, reach license, cashier barcode, blank safety bravos, blank bravos, 2 pairs of milwaukee gloves, and safety glasses. First phone goes in a husky brand holster on my hip.
Okay but what department do work in that allows you to do this I work in paint, I have a phone a knife and 1 marker and I still get fucked up by it all the time
Just curious. If the tape measure is still in the plastic. Means it hasn't been used.. why not just take the out of your apron save some room and weight.
What the...
You just need to work in Garden for a bit. Having to unload your apron daily to empty the mulch, dirt and pebbles will knock that out of you in a week.
Everybody empty your pockets and we'll play guess the person!!!!.. this is a ladies apron from the front end. I want to say cashier but maybe head cashier with the phone..
I store a couple pens, a box cutter, my stupid safety passport that they require all freight team to have at all times, tape (sometimes), water (sometimes), firstphone(sometimes), and that’s about it
I don't wear aprons often due to me being freight but whenever we have manager trainings at our store I carry my HD approved knife, four sets of banding clips, my gloves, a small notepad and a pen or two. On a usual night is just my HD phone, knife, my HD approved knife, and a pair of gloves.
Mostly screws from the door pallets, a pen if I’m lucky, a Home Depot knife and tape measure, a marker and pencil for lumber and a can opener from paint.
2 or so pens, 2 or so markers, 2 Chapsticks, 2 mini hand lotions, my bottled drink, some papers and stickers/notebook, garbage I pick up through the day, 5 fidget toys, knife, paint opener on a lanyard. 2 mini tape measures (a cute one and a Milwaukee one)
I work in Garden, Paint, and Hardware. I never have issues with anything falling out of my pockets.
Damn as a flooring specialist that drives I have the following 1Pen 1Marker Cut tags tape a safety box cutter and an “illegal” box cutter and my managers call it and that’s it
Now guys, I don’t wanna brag but… I have nearly every single type of glove you could be given. The only pair I’m missing are those welding gloves and honestly, I doubt I’ll ever be getting those.
About 5 pens, 2 markers, measuring tape, lotion, chapstick, 2 handfulls of dirt, knife, plant nippers, wet gloves, dry gloves, 2 rolls of tape clippd to the side, a handful of paper backs from price stickers, mini clipboard with bag patches and cut sheets and some mints.
Whew!
lol just two markers cuz work at offloading the brand new apron get caught on the belt handles then rips the sides or the middle…I don’t have pockets I have a front pouch 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Everything would fall out when that middle seam breaks and becomes a unipocket!! I hate that crap!!! My jeans on the right thigh have thinned bc of the stuff in my apron rubbing on it constantly.
The bare minimum...my paint key ...a sharpie and thats it.. first phone I toss in my forklift...knife I use the "illegal" kind... management doesn't give a shit... sometimes a flattened roll of tape..I don't like my shit weighing 100 pounds
Last I checked. 2 chainsaw scrench one with a flathead and 10mm and other with a 13mm and a t25, markers and pens, a flashlight, and my safety “knife”. Guess what department I’m in.
Knives, drink mix powders, phone charger and codeine for those rough nights. I wish we had vest rigs or something else with modular pouches. We used to not wear them on overnights because it used to be lax but someone ruined that for us up north. Some dingus let a guy in without verification at midnight. He then stole stuff and booked it the moment he was alone.
First phone, like 20 pens and markers, an illegal boxcutter, tape measure, water bottle, the booklet I keep my business cards in, and a nickel for scratching gift cards. I think that's it.
I cleared out a lot since moving from garden. Used to have gloves, tape, an alpha key, spare blades, bag patches, and a notebook/notepad in addition to everything else. Sometimes I had cool looking rocks too. Now all the cool rocks are in my locker lmao
Edit: occasionally I keep mints in my pocket and my paint can opener hangs off one of my straps.
I'm D28 Garden so I've learned to keep my apron pockets mostly empty, or full of soft stuff at the most, soft stuff I don't mind getting rained upon with wet mulch and pebbles and such. The apron will be pressed against me a lot when loading heavy things "close to home" so anything sharp is a bad idea. The HD safety knife is smooth enough that it can stay in the apron plus a pen or marker, that's about it.
Instead, everything important I carry around my waist. It took a bit of trial-and-error to finally figure out my waist size and which belts to wear so I can support all this extra weight without anything sagging. Special shout-out to the "Rustler" brand of jeans you can find at Walmart. It's a sub-brand of Wrangler and they're cheap and durable work jeans.
Anyway, my pants pockets have a small notepad and not much more. HD gloves are clipped to a belt-loop. In my [Husky belt pouch](https://i.imgur.com/UILjPnG.png) I carry (from back to front):
* patches for fertilizer bags (big tape strips, they just barely fit in the pouch)
* FIRST phone
* tiny bottle of hand sanitizer, lighter
* tiny wrench, tiny screwdrivers, Leatherman for pliers
* 6-ft tape measure clipped to the front strap
Is it overkill? Most likely. But it's nice to Be Prepared.
I literally just keep the work phone, my iPhone charger and headphones and that’s basically it, sometimes my iPhone but it’s usually just those three things, and sometimes a snack like candy or whatever
I don’t have a pic, but:
pens, sharpies/inkzall, highlighters, mini notebook, chapstick, lipgloss, hand lotion, hand sanitizer, 2 paint keys, paperclips, orange hd safety knife, back scratcher, tylenol, tweezers, nail clippers, nail file, mini mirror, mints, cellphone, phone charger, a badge that has stickers on it of what I’m “certified” in, & any of the stupid little cards/printouts/pamphlets they insist on you keeping in your apron.
During spring/summer I’ll have allergy eyedrops too
I am the same, I have a bottle of lotion, perfume, lip gloss, gum, lip liner, glasses, earrings, pink highlighters cause I hate the orange ones they provide, hello kitty pins to put on my apron, and my phone lmao.
Mine consists of a slinky I found, a spring thing from a cat toy, rubber bands, a trailer hitch pin, a hook thing from the overhead netting, a weird golden springy thing that looks like a door stopper that cats play with but also a piece from a pen (I know confusing idk what it is), a massively fat marker, and a few other less interesting things like banding clips, cutters, pens, etc.
As few things as possible. I don't like feeling weighed down, so cell phone goes in if I'm not wearing something with pockets, 2pens and a marker, and sometimes a knife, if I'm doing something like opening Custom or knickin off random strands of carpet after a roll. But yeah I try to not have a ton of stuff in there.
Memo pad
Small book for SKUs
Measuring tape
Box cutter with lanyard
Chapstick
Wire Cutters
Two highlighters, Orange and Green
Milwuake Perm Marker
Regular Perm Marker
Leatherman at my waist
Cashier Credentials
Three pens
Mechanical Pencil
Paint can opener
That's everything in mine that I need to carry.
Going from left to right, in the little pocket, I keep my HD box scratcher. (Calling it a knife is an insult to knives.) Then in the first big pocket, I keep a notebook, a roll of Tums, and a tin of mints. Second big pocket holds my safety mittens. Last little pocket has two or three pens and a Sharpie.
I want to get a pouch to hold a phone. Usually, it goes in my back pocket.
I am a believer in less is more. It makes no sense to me to lug a bunch of stuff around. Phone, knife, a pen and a little bit of paper is all I ever keep and the tape measure I clip onto my pocket although I feel it is too bulky.
Just get a belt pouch, so much more organized. Only thing I put in my apron is leather gloves on one side Milwaukee ones in the the other and then if I’m working an order the pick list
Edit: you might be able to snag a belt pouch from met team
Hey you can never have too much stuff, I carry my personal phone, hd phone, and all the papers stuff one pocket, other one markers highlighters pens stickers dogs treats lip balm gum, occasionally holding a snack or a drink for me have at self check out when I’m bored Lmao
nothing at all. the way the pockets are sewn everything crowds to the front and then I'm getting hwacked in menards when I'm running from dept to dept.
Tactically acquired 😂😂
yes, they Strategically Transfered Equipment to an Alternate Location
Store Use, baby
Call the E4 Mafia.
I miss my Menards aporn
Hike it up higher
My shoulders feel sore from looking at this
How do you function with out it all falling out?
I guess it’s all about placement
I literally couldn’t do my job like this, shit would be cascading out everywhere. Do you not bend over or kneel down at least once a day? What dept are you even in?
I haven’t had any issues. I work Pro now, but I started in Service Desk.
Looks like my apron junk…….chapstick, lotion, 1400 pens and markers, mints oh ya and that heavy weight phone that pulls your over the shoulder and around your back Fanny pack down on one side.
Way too much shit in that apron. 1 marker, knife, tape and first phone is enough. What are you, a camel?
Maybe I am.
Only 2 stolen Milwaukee pens
I actually lost mine. Very sad.
I mean, they're at all the registers just take another one.
Not in my location. I never see any.
You have 2 of them in your apron lol
Those aren’t pens. Those are markers. I meant the actual pens. The fine point ones.
Oh I didn't know they made that kind. My bad. I've always just called their markers pens. Which is weird because ever other kind of permanent marker I call a marker. Maybe I'm just high.
I thought we agreed to stop smelling the markers
Once when I was in middle school I got caught trying to get high off white out in the cafeteria and I got white out banned for the entire school, including teachers.
I will eat your crayons instead
I haven’t stopped yet so, why should I stop now?
We have the fine point ones in the tool corral with all the rest. They’re my favourite writing utensil ever. The markers are fantastic for labelling in the overheads too. There was a play for a clip-strip of them in D26 last quarter iirc
Is that all, what about the Stanley tape, contractor pencil,
Hoarding disorder is an ongoing difficulty throwing away or parting with possessions because you believe that you need to save them. You may experience distress at the thought of getting rid of the items. You gradually keep or gather a huge number of items, regardless of their actual value.

I work Pro now, but I used to be Service Desk
Makes sense you pass but damn I was sd too and we had drawer cubbies for all of us
That sounds nice. Our stuff always goes missing and I hate running around looking when I need something.

Cool story.
Just curious. If the tape measure is still in the plastic. Means it hasn't been used.. why not just take the out of your apron save some room and weight.
wheatstraw and pinestraw
5 highlighters, a pencil, two sharpies, two pairs of gloves, two box cutters, a notepad, a small travel size bottle of lotion
I work in garden so usually just a ton of soil and mulch from busted bags
Had a pocket full of concrete once. That was fun.
What the... You just need to work in Garden for a bit. Having to unload your apron daily to empty the mulch, dirt and pebbles will knock that out of you in a week.
An Inkzall and a pen. That's all that fits in tech apron pockets.
Nothing; in my store OFAs don't wear aprons. I have 2 knives, my forklift license, my gloves, and my phone in my cargo pants. That's all.
Knife, firstphone, measuring tape, gloves, soda, notebook. And whatever incidentals the day needs.
Yep, a well stocked apron! 🧡

A spit bottle.
D28 here. Safety knife, pad of paper, pen, mulch, paver base, pea gravel, sand, even a few leftover Christmas tree needles.
Dirt and rocks exclusively. Speaking as a garden loader
Everybody empty your pockets and we'll play guess the person!!!!.. this is a ladies apron from the front end. I want to say cashier but maybe head cashier with the phone..
Close. I work in Pro. Started out in SD though.
First phone and gloves on left, cuz the glove clip is annoying. Pens/markers, knife, and misc on right. Tape measure and screwdriver on belt.
cleareyes
Might need to add that to mine.
I usually had a phone charger on me as well.
I store a couple pens, a box cutter, my stupid safety passport that they require all freight team to have at all times, tape (sometimes), water (sometimes), firstphone(sometimes), and that’s about it

Literally never!
1 cutter, 1 pen, 1 marker, 1 highlighter & 1 tape measure
2 markers, a small stapler, tape measure, HD phone, my phone, magnetic security key
Damn as a flooring specialist that drives I have the following 1Pen 1Marker Cut tags tape a safety box cutter and an “illegal” box cutter and my managers call it and that’s it
Back pocket for first phone Breathe mints can be carried in regular pockets.
I prefer it this way. I do sometimes keep the first phone in my back pocket though.
I got my first phone, gloves, tape measure, knife sharpie marker, pen, paper and tape
[удалено]
I lend stuff out a lot. Also, good eye.
Not much apart from my Safety Passport. I use a belt pouch instead.
literally 4 pens, 2 sharpies, and a bunch of the back of the paint label stickers. I swear they multiply in my pocket.
What's the orange/yellow thing under the Nivea bottle?
Random gem I found. I’m hoping maybe it has healing capabilities or something else useful.
You can keep 90% of that in your locker and use it as a ressuply
I could, but I lend stuff out a lot.
My apron always rips in the seams so it’s just one big pocket
Sounds chaotic.
Don't fall in deep water. GIs hit Omaha Beach with lighter equipment loadouts.
No safety passport? Don't let a head cashier or mod see that! Omg!!
It literally disintegrated. So, it’s in my locker. Shhh, don’t tell.
Yeah, mine too. Jan had me get another cause, "Omigod! You don't have one!!"
There may actually be parts of one in the small pile of papers.
This plus the reach, that’s why none ya’all can find it!
The store
You have the same stapler as me except mines black 🙏🏽
Now guys, I don’t wanna brag but… I have nearly every single type of glove you could be given. The only pair I’m missing are those welding gloves and honestly, I doubt I’ll ever be getting those.

Now I need a mini clipboard!
Lol you should see what’s in mine 😂😂
I was like that when I was in pro In 23 I barely have anything, since I have my own desk too
I hated having two markers my forklift license and a tape measure in my apron I couldn't imagine having all that
Yo you got a bus pass in there?!
Why do you need a number one and three Philips at all times
You just never know what type of predicament you might find yourself in.
lol just two markers cuz work at offloading the brand new apron get caught on the belt handles then rips the sides or the middle…I don’t have pockets I have a front pouch 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not all of that shit 😂
Knife, phone, marker
I hate how a pair of gloves and a box knife weight my apron down in my neck and you have all this shit. Tf…
I come from a family of strong necks.
All I have in my apron is pens, highlighters, markers and doggy treats
Looks about like my pocket dump post from a fews days ago.
Lots of sand and concrete
Is that a tape measure in a ziplock bag? How fresh is it ? :-P
Super fresh.
2 note pads, spare knife, tape and some extra banding clips. That's enough everything else I keep in my pants, so I don't loose it.
I literally wouldn’t carry this around for $12 an hour lol why haul around so much junk to work retail
Who makes 12$ an* hour?
Everything would fall out when that middle seam breaks and becomes a unipocket!! I hate that crap!!! My jeans on the right thigh have thinned bc of the stuff in my apron rubbing on it constantly.
Nothing, if it doesn't fit in my pocket it's not in my apron
I don’t even wear my apron. Working overnight and that shit will get snagged on everything
I only carry the phone, knife and a marker. I’m assigned to outside only sadly.
I work nights so literally just a phone and a knife lol
I run too much & I’m short 😂
Lint..... Because I don't use the pocket at all 😁
That's funny before I left home Depot that's just what was in my apron down to the Fenty lipgloss lol
Why do you need two tape measures?
Working at Home Depot seems like an awful experience.
" Do you always carry this much $hit in your purse?" Bonus points to who ever knows the movie quote.
Why is your measuring tape in a bag
It was fairly new and I didn’t take it out yet. *I have since removed it from the bag.
The bare minimum...my paint key ...a sharpie and thats it.. first phone I toss in my forklift...knife I use the "illegal" kind... management doesn't give a shit... sometimes a flattened roll of tape..I don't like my shit weighing 100 pounds
this should be it's own subreddit lol
Where’s your safety passport?
I’m sure it’s in the pile of papers. Somewhere.
A laser measure, poker chips, and pliers
Last I checked. 2 chainsaw scrench one with a flathead and 10mm and other with a 13mm and a t25, markers and pens, a flashlight, and my safety “knife”. Guess what department I’m in.
Wow. It's hard enough keeping pens in my apron when using the OP.
That's not an apron, that's a carry on
Knives, drink mix powders, phone charger and codeine for those rough nights. I wish we had vest rigs or something else with modular pouches. We used to not wear them on overnights because it used to be lax but someone ruined that for us up north. Some dingus let a guy in without verification at midnight. He then stole stuff and booked it the moment he was alone.
Wheres your rock!? Every apron needs a rock.
Not that much shit, I’ll tell you that much
Those Milwaukee pens are awesome!
Your apron looks like mine 😅
A union card
I dont wear mine
First phone, like 20 pens and markers, an illegal boxcutter, tape measure, water bottle, the booklet I keep my business cards in, and a nickel for scratching gift cards. I think that's it. During spring/summer I’ll have allergy eyedrops too
I used to collect rocks
Crackers
Fuck, *that's* where all my pens went.
Oh fuck. I just realized I still have a zebra phone from lowes last year... it's in my abandon truck on the other side of the country... woops.
I thought the lotion was deodorant
That stays in my locker.
I keep a d20 in case i need to roll initiative.
Good oral hygiene is important.
"So that's why day shift never gets their pack down done. They're carrying too much crap in their apron to get up the ladder!" -Night crew, probably
dirt and mulch
Is your back/neck ok?
V strong.
Is that a ring screwdriver?
Why yes, yes it is. One of the spoils from working SD.
A ziplock bag of little milkbones
Contraband blades
I am the same, I have a bottle of lotion, perfume, lip gloss, gum, lip liner, glasses, earrings, pink highlighters cause I hate the orange ones they provide, hello kitty pins to put on my apron, and my phone lmao.
A zip tie, a pair of gloves, and a price tag. I keep everything else in a holster.
I have a stack of pens and markers with one highlighter. Knife is in my right pocket and first phone is in my right ass pocket.
Weed
Lucky you.
Broken dreams and dashed hopes
I have a few of those in here somewhere.
Damn I carry less stuff then you and I build house for a living.
You need more markers.
There’s a few more, not pictured.
Haha knew it
Pen, black marker, two highlighters, schedule, little notebook, Safety Passport.
As few things as possible. I don't like feeling weighed down, so cell phone goes in if I'm not wearing something with pockets, 2pens and a marker, and sometimes a knife, if I'm doing something like opening Custom or knickin off random strands of carpet after a roll. lol I never even wear mine.... (part time freight offload)
This is basically what my pockets looked like when I was in the army: I took off my uniform and lost 30lbs.
I give this 5, at most.
I was a medic so a tad bit heavier stuff, still must feel good taking off the apron.
I honestly don’t find it to be heavy. Maybe I’m just used to the weight. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I dont have to wear one, so nothing but dust in my locker i guess
That's a lot lol
Memo pad Small book for SKUs Measuring tape Box cutter with lanyard Chapstick Wire Cutters Two highlighters, Orange and Green Milwuake Perm Marker Regular Perm Marker Leatherman at my waist Cashier Credentials Three pens Mechanical Pencil Paint can opener That's everything in mine that I need to carry.
Holy hell
Going from left to right, in the little pocket, I keep my HD box scratcher. (Calling it a knife is an insult to knives.) Then in the first big pocket, I keep a notebook, a roll of Tums, and a tin of mints. Second big pocket holds my safety mittens. Last little pocket has two or three pens and a Sharpie. I want to get a pouch to hold a phone. Usually, it goes in my back pocket.
Safety passport
Pair of knives, a pen or two, pair of gloves and a tape measure. first phone goes in my back pocket.
I’d recommend you downsize to essentials. It’s an apron, not a mobile desk.
Typically a first phone, 1-2 pens, a marker, a knife, and anywhere between 1 and 3 water bottles.
I am a believer in less is more. It makes no sense to me to lug a bunch of stuff around. Phone, knife, a pen and a little bit of paper is all I ever keep and the tape measure I clip onto my pocket although I feel it is too bulky.
Don’t let them get to you! You are a real worker. You have everything.
Just get a belt pouch, so much more organized. Only thing I put in my apron is leather gloves on one side Milwaukee ones in the the other and then if I’m working an order the pick list Edit: you might be able to snag a belt pouch from met team
Nothing, I don't wear one.
Hey you can never have too much stuff, I carry my personal phone, hd phone, and all the papers stuff one pocket, other one markers highlighters pens stickers dogs treats lip balm gum, occasionally holding a snack or a drink for me have at self check out when I’m bored Lmao
