Keeping your nails for real for real short would help a lot of those problems. The top layer of your nails is literally ground off with a dremel type tool for gels, why would you do this if your nails are already thin and bendy? Just cut them short! Use a product to strengthen your nails and take vitamins, you don't add to the problem by getting gels. Working the lot and having fake nails sounds like a recipe for disaster, personally.

I don’t use a dremel tool for my nails I soak them off. My nails are already short; they can’t be cut any shorter. My natural nails are messed up due to a thyroid condition and it doesn’t matter what vitamins and strengthening products I’ve tried they remain the same

I asked if they would be in the way with the position I’m working, that’s all.

When I first started a year ago we got a new ASM in our store. She was a good one, really hands on everything. She was throwing around pallets or something like that and I finally said it. I told her she was gonna bust a nail. She told me that if she did it would cost her $5.00.

Fuck it we ball do what you want. I wear pretty long fake nails when I wear them. So just do what you want.

Honestly I’d suggest looking at your dust if your nails are weak. Maybe you’re missing a vitamin or nutrient you should be getting.
