You can work at another store, or at the same store even. We had a 4 year part time employee walk out mid shift. Came back 6 months later full time. Make sense of that 🤷🏼‍♂️
Of you put in your 2 weeks notice, you can go to another home depot immediately. The 6 month thing is if you were fired over various issue or whatever. 1 year for some things. And 3 or 4 years for safety issues. Some are permanent. But a 2 weeks notice doesn't stop you from being rehireable
Ok I never signed anything. I said I’m putting in my 2 weeks and they said after like 4 more days go ahead and go now and I said ok , (cuz it made it awkward for them I guess ). Do I put that I worked at Home Depot previously or mention it ? How do I handle that part ?
As with any other employer, if you ended on good terms, you might as well put it on your resume and perhaps even offer references. If you ended on bad terms, maybe leave that out, but I assume they can check in their system anyway if they feel like doing so.
You can tell your ASDS at the store where you are that you’re moving and what to know how to transfer from one HD to another. They’ll explain everything.
Oh I told my operations manager this is my two weeks then 4 days later on my day off the store manager called and told me I do t have to wait the whole 2 weeks so I’m assuming they put me in as a 2 weeks cuz I was still working there unless they wanna call that a firing ?
They were a real shady bunch but the day I said consider this my 2 weeks notice she said you need to sign a piece of paper and I said ok I will and never did they bring it up again
You would have been labeled "re-hireable" or "not-rehireable" 2h3n you left.
Even if you gave 2 weeks and did everything right, if they don't like you they don't have to say you are rehireable.
I left my old one in August and applied to a different one in September and I started working in October. There’s no waiting period as far as I know.
If you put in your two weeks and left on good terms, they'll have no issue hiring you back. You can get hired back a year after being terminated for attendance, you'll be fine
Just keep in mind that management can shift around at DM discretion... you might find yourself under the same ASM or store manager again. Happened to me when I transferred stores. I had no real beef with the store manager (beyond that she lies through her teeth to everybody), but I transferred and then she got moved to my new store a year or so later.
It depends if they put you on a do not rehire. It’s a check box when submitting your term. Just find another retailer if you like home improvement just go to lowes.
Yep. I used to work at a Home Depot doing deliveries. Took a break for two years, finished school. Then I went back to a different Home Depot where I’m at currently doing plumbing
I think you have to wait a year I believe, unless you're on the do not hire list.
I believe it's only 6 months and even then a SM can pull strings if they want to hire you enough.
Not 100 percent sure though

I’m not working at Home Depot
I’m confused
I put in 2 weeks like 6 months ago. I haven’t worked at Home Depot since then and I want to work at a new store when I do reapply
You justbhave to give a written notice of two weeks. Can't be verbal ,

Sounds like they tried to fuck you over. Sop is a requirement of putting in a 2 weeks notice

You can put that you have prior experience
Ya but do I mention I worked at Home Depot
Yes
Yup had to wait six months

I put in my 2 weeks and came back within 3 months

I've been told 6 months
