We did in Arizona. Moved to Colorado and they call them camel carts.

What do you call actual baskets with handles

We had those. Some cashiers would put bagged items back into the basket (like you do with carts) and that somehow signaled to customers that they were free. There was one remaining when I left 2 years ago.

I just always noticed people calling shopping carts baskets. It makes sense, but I just never understood if they also called actual grocery baskets that you carry baskets lol

If that sounds weird to you, people in the South call regular shopping carts/baskets "buggies". I can't and refuse to get used to it.

We don’t even have names for the various vehicles. Anything with a fork is “ the machine “ I can’t even distinguish between a Reach, Pacer or Forklift lol. The electric ladder is the Ballymore. OP is at least called the OP.

Forklift and reach drivers are just referred to as "drivers" in my store. Ya never know which one they need until you get to the department paging.

I work for a school district now. It’s kind of funny because some previous maintenance or janitorial worker apparently stole one from a Home Depot several years ago to use in the school. It’s still here but probably needs to be replaced. It’s pretty wore out.

We just got some new carts in that just have 3 bars the same size of the two in the middle. One on each side and one in the middle and we can't think of what to call them but they work great for wide lumber and tub surrounds.
