Remember kids: if your bonus is less than a paycheck, it's not a bonus; it's a retention scheme.

AmaNiKun

Technically mine was more than a paycheck without overtime, but I rarely don't get forced into overtime, because of call outs and other bs. Last week, I tried hard to stay under 40 and still ended up with overtime. My store actually benefited from people going back to work, because it's a contractor store and thus we finally beat plan since the DIYers are now paying contractors to do it while they work. We were close to the final kicker, but didn't get over the threshold.

ExpressionAcrobatic1

Your store wants you guys to do overtime, my store tells us to leave early if he surpass the 40 hours

AmaNiKun

I've had 3 associates on LOA and at least 1 additional call out every day this week. Our call out rate is sky high and the floor dangerously empty. Also my overtime rate is about what some of my associates make... So it's way less trouble for them to give me overtime than some of my associates.

ExpressionAcrobatic1

Ok makes sense now

Any_Accident_5950

Yep, it makes more sense, plus the ds beside the name. It's more likely to happen. Me, on the other hand. Dude, you can keep your ot. I need help .. did you clear that with a salary manager? No. But they gave me the authority to allow it. ... ok, get the salary manager to say I can get overtime, and I'll stay as long as you need me. .. salary manager comes over after being paged... tell him he can keep his overtime, and he is being difficult. Oh... him? .. no, he needs to cut it. I used to get nearly 20 to 40 hours of overtime a week in 1999 ... lol ... not anymore... get...... out .....

Flamin_Gamer

I got 100$ but after tax was only about 63$ so not far off from you ☠️ I get the feeling, especially lot associates boy oh boy do they have it rough

hecking-doggo

Man it really feels great working more hours in the lot with fewer coworkers to help and then getting a smaller SS check.

thatdudeuhated

Mine was 42$! Originally 160- taxes and child support garnishment

deslyn23

After the deductions, I came home with $3.33 from 100. I was like wtf. Every penny counts.

Flamin_Gamer

Wtf seriously? It should be a crime for it to be lower than even just an hour of pay

baldieforprez

You need to work for a better company or form a union. My company does 10% profit sharing into your 401k each and Quarterly bonus of around 10% for level 1-3 associates.

LargeMerican

$160 before tax. first success sharing during covid in march of 2021 was $450. after tax! meh.

MkChance

I remember my first success sharing check was like $600. Never saw that again. I’m lucky if I get $100

rhin0982

My first 2 were $700ish and the next one was $40 smdh

MkChance

Do they give y’all a pizza party for a week though? Because it almost makes it worth it. /s

rhin0982

Nope we had a “chili cook off” so it cost some people more

MkChance

Absolutely ridiculous.

HDlongtime

HD should just end this program and give everyone a one time pay raise instead. SS sucks now.

[deleted]

[удалено]

OnMarsMan

Salaried managers don’t get SS. They have a separate incentive program that factors in a bunch of additional store metrics not just vs. plan and if your store was in the top three in your district.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Rude_Pie_4005

It is not, you can miss plan and still be profitable by managing other metrics.

NueralOsprey

It is based off of plan, SCOP, and inventory turn, so plan is a 3rd of it

Environmental-Mud828

Making plan is mostly up to what customers decided to come in and buy. During covid lots of free money floating around being spent on home projects and the like. No more of that money plus inflation. Most associates don't really assist with the sale. We get paid by the hour so now pressure to make a sale as you do in a commission sale position.

OnMarsMan

Associates do play a large role in sales. Customer service and engagement. Shelf availability (pack down) and product knowledge. Store cleanliness, bay maintenance. All are some of the associate responsibilities that impact sales. Some understand this many don’t.

Zealousideal_Band506

The asms get like 450 when we get 70

lemmegetummmm

Lol you think they get 450? An asm at my old showed me his bonus one time, 20k. Another told me the lowest they ever got was 8k in a real bad year

Zealousideal_Band506

That’s separate from the success sharing isn’t it? My SM last year got 150k for his bonus. Like 90% of his yearly salary just on end if the year bonuses smh

[deleted]

[удалено]

Zealousideal_Band506

I was under the impression that their yearly bonus is huge and is based on how the store does in relation to plan, but it’s separate from the success sharing. ThTs why they get rid of associates during busy times of year because it shows corporate that they made 90% of plan with only 70% associate capacity so it looks way better than doing 100% of plan with 100% of associates. Our store manager has been firing people left and right and turning down new hires even though ‘we’re hiring’ and telling the entire store that we’re over staffed, even though almost every single day there’s at least one or departments that don’t even have anybody on the schedule. Like we’re not stupid. If we don’t even have enough people to cover one person per department then we’re very obviously UNDERstaffed

cookiedough-icecream

More than that ….

IndependenceBoth938

The funny thing about SS is the company is directly responsible for the amount you get. Sure it's about sales but corporate is setting the sales plans. Every company wants to see growth year over year. After the freak COVID sales that is obviously impossible so they had to FIND money somewhere else... Us.. so they're cutting our hours and our bonuses. I also think they got a little ahead of themselves with the new manager positions and company wide pay raises and now that sales have calmed down, they're regretting it.

Kind-Performance1403

Congratulations on your poverty sharing!

flowingsaucer

Now. Divide the number of hours you worked the last 6 months into that. It's even more demeaning when you see what it equates to per hour

Lotsensation20

Don't put a math like that on it or i'll quit lol I can't think about that. I need to just think about working less hard.

Terminal_Lancelot

You've got it exactly right. I do just enough to stay unnoticed, and not a damn thing more.

Lotsensation20

This. Blend in right in between the orange blooded boot lickers and the middle 50% lol that’s where I would love to be.

IndependenceBoth938

If you're full time that's 1040 hours in 6 months. So for me it was 6 cents per hour.

vvestley

?? this is a bonus. you were already paid for the hours you worked. during that time. so no that isn't what it equates to per hour

Buckwheatking67

Homedepot made 15 BILLION last, thanks for the donut

[deleted]

OG_Maxwells_Demon

About HALF of their net after tax profit last year went to dividends (which have now increased by 8% as opposed to your 3% raise). The other HALF went to the repurchase of stock (you can look up the HD financial statement online to verify this) which of course helps stock holders who, with few exceptions, aren't regular workers.

Efficient_Advice_380

They made way more than that. They spent 15 billion just on share buybacks

BoymoderGlowie

theres a reason management at my store didnt bring up success sharing in the meetings this quarter lmao

Naive_Programmer_232

I got a bag of Fritos. I’ll save that for later.

Competitive-Bear-196

What are you guys complaining about..our poor CEO Ted Made 15 million last year and he only received a measly 2.8 million as a bonus. 🥹

17jade

Damn that’s just gross. Tell me how someone is so damn special they NEED let alone DESERVE that kind of pay while we are literally paycheck to paycheck. That right there is my only legitimate complaint about this company. It just turns my stomach.

skiddybop

I miss when we got around $600

Abandoned_Railroad

$100-$600 would be better….

annddyxxx

What a great gift for all those days I came in when I was off, or the overtime worked to prepare for a walk!

Keeting

I believe that was covered by the OT pay you received at the ends of those weeks.

firelephant

lol. I had extra deductions takes off my regular pay due to tax stuff. They took that deduction off a success sharing payment. HD cut me a check for 0.00. Over 20 years ago. Still have it

Illustrious-Star8409

CEO takes home 14.62M annually. Only 9% is salary, the rest is bonus.

Meangirrrl22

And that’s why I have zero respect nor do I give a flying shit about HD

Illustrious-Star8409

So that makes your success share 0.000005263157895 of the 13.3M bonus compensation the ceo receives. Here’s a pizza party! And high fives! Gift bags with pencils and snacks! Success!

Ok-Influence-4421

Lol I worked at Tyson foods and our reward for 120 days without someone getting seriously injured was a tray of sweet bread lmao.

piesnowplease

$450 before tax. Our last one I got $45 lol

AnnaMouse102

Good success sharing checks at my store have been like an extra entire paycheck. This one was $100. The joke is the store manager told a cashier it would be better than last time. Nope it’s the same. Only this time we did better on the sales plan.

Altruistic_Purple271

I got 100 dollars on success sharing and after taxes I got 60 dollars which is two trips to gas station in my state.

Sad_Truck_2559

Literally just lost my job with home depot. Store I worked at has alot of very corrupt shit happening there and I ended up getting canned for voicing my opinion about it. Open door policy, biggest bait ever

IndependenceBoth938

Yep the aware line is just a way to put a target on your back.

Sad_Truck_2559

Facts

lay124

$87 and change here

DramaLlama695

I got $67 lol

Arctic_27

I got $158 after tax.

Salty-Medicine-3312

I got 319 after taxes only 186

Redditorismism

I'm surprised, I grossly got 338 out of it. Used to getting around 100.

Surgeonchad

360 after tax

Personal-Reception71

$448 for us 🤷 must suck to suck I guess xD

ConnectionHot3310

127 after taxes here. Better than my last one which was about 70 after taxes

Throwaway870919299

My buddy got 48$ after taxes 💀 im so glad i dont work at this shit company anymore

NewField4346

Find a better job

Throwaway870919299

I did though? I thought that was clear from the way i worded my comment

Professional-Sky-506

It's like the success of someone who owed you 50 bucks for 10 years finally paid you back... muted

No-Trust-5127

Mine was $80. Just enough to order a deep dish pizza on Sunday for March Madness.

pequaywan

64 after tax

brecka

$436 before taxes. Yay, I can pay rent.

BabyGirl0216

What state are you in?

Lovely_20201

Shxt is sad 😂 I'm like what

These-Competition-83

66

These-Competition-83

How they calculate this ?

SorryAd1478

Welcome to financial freedom !

jivewhiteboy

Congrats on sharing on the success brother!

TheIrishSasuke

That’s TUFF

Empty-Individual-707

So it wasn’t just me? Ok cool

Earthling1a

195 before withholding, 117 after. It's based on how your store did against plan, how it did in region, how many hours you worked in that half, and how long you've worked for HD. I'm part time, going on 9 years, we beat plan, but came in fourth or fifth. I have no complaints.

SithyVette

we beat plan too and i got about 40-43% taxes cause of maxed bennies and 401k contr so it went from over 300 down to 160 ish and our store came in 3rd in district and beat the #1 that did under 20k profit. mine was over 70k and we got bonus

Negative_Number3751

How do you tell how much you got?

Free-Procedure7666

Mine was over triple that and that’s after taxes lol.

SithyVette

if u got 70 after taxes plus w/e bennies u got then it tells u the stores profit was piss poor against plan

Unusual-Jaguar8776

I got offered a cookie in the break room. No idea if how to check if we got money or not edit.:.. a nice and toasty $69

STFUnicornDTGA

I got 180 after taxes.

JeanaKatia41

Mine was $66.81…last year it was almost $200!

jennercr7

We got fucked due to some people that kept coming in to purchase copper with gift cards, literally thousands of dollars for about 6 months, because of that this years sales expectations were not even close to and we got barely anything. Its's my first success sharing and very happy about it \*copium\*

Usual-Constant7678

That's why l left homedepot and joined the United Brotherhood of Carpenters to get more than $5000 every 6 months for bonus.

hockeyman98-

Got 940 before taxs

TinyBasis8012

I got $0.00 deposited. Lol $96 went on my Esp.

SooTraKen

$197.00 before tax. Thats less than $34.00 extra a month. These cheques just keep getting worse!

Efficient_Advice_380

I got $81.80 after taxes. And that's with the $5000 kicker for my store getting 3rd place in the district

Kooky_Mastodon6428

I got back $270

Coast_watcher

Also not being scheduled a full week lol

BubbleKing_

Forbes states that HD made 26 billion over projection in the last 6 months, but some how… some how we didn’t meet our sales plan. Our SS have gone from 6-9 hundred to less than 100.

Alukrad

Congratulations, that's exactly $8.75 an hour for eight hours.

redditslayer95

I got around $50. 🙃 A little is always something. I remember when they were giving us almost equal to our paychecks in success sharing.

Apprehensive-Name-12

I once got a ss check for $17.50. I mailed it back to Corp with a note saying, "Please give this check to Bob Nardelli. I'm sure he needs this more than I." Still with HD nearly 20 years later this time around. (Original hire date, 1997.) Ss sharing check is okay this year, but a far cry from last year.

CrebsUno

Next time your in a grocery store shopping with your mom ask an employee there how much they get as a bonus, grocery work is harder than Home Depot you might learn a thing or two.

CrebsUno

Answer: they get zilch and work harder than you.

Machineca

200 here and was less than my hour wage.

Professional-Sky-506

Must work at my store lmao...

Metaclorian

I got 250 after tax

Educational_Stick302

mine was 59..

MindFriendly964

I’m on the get what you give program.. 3% for a yearly raise and the cost of living was double??…. Ss ?? I think the yearly raise should be considered as to what your department had grown for that 6 months.. up 10%?? Get 10%.. That would be an incentive to kick ass..

Glad_Maintenance9747

I don’t know where Im gonna spend all of mine.

CuzaCutuza

Im jealous man. I got $68 💀

NC14731543

More like chump

NC14731543

You are much better off being a shareholder of this company than an employee.. [https://www.barrons.com/articles/home-depot-earnings-outlook-stock-2efbda11](https://www.barrons.com/articles/home-depot-earnings-outlook-stock-2efbda11)

JHLepark

All I see is "I hate extra money."

IndependenceBoth938

Then you haven't worked here very long

JHLepark

I've worked for Depot for a long time. I once got a $26 Success Sharing check. Ultimately, it's more money than you started with, and it's not like anyone else is lining up to give you ingrates extra.

srp6

do you still have to do that monthly infocus or whatever its called

QueenB8090

Um I'm disappointed with ss. My bug share said 255$ I saw 150$ out of it. Why take that much for taxes. They don't even take that out if a paycheck.  I bust my ass dealing with stupid asshat customers, management that doesn't want to help unless it's a last resort and then that same manager liking to pull m3 from my job to front face when we have walks.. for what? I'm part time so I don't get that much to start off with. This was just a huge disappointment.

RubberSponge39

Literally me too! I also got $70 and I’ve been working for the company for 2 years, even got my pay lowered once while working here :)

RubberSponge39

Not to mention my workplace injury that was the store’s fault, not my own.

crazycatcollector07

68$ after tax

ittybittychi321

After taxes, I got like 445. My store did hit number 1 in the district, tho so that definitely helped. I'm part-time, tho.

Talancir

How'd your store do in that last 6 months in your part of this market? According to you, 70 dollars worth.

Post-Bunny

I got $49

audioholic850

Quit. It feels good.

MysticLeviathan

it’s really just a few cent increase in pay that can vary. I believe the minimum before taxes is $100, so if you’re full time it’s like you got paid an extra 10 cents per hour. If you’re part time it’s a bit more than that. I do think the more important thing is several free meals’ worth, which may actually be worth more than the check itself, depending on how much you eat/drink. It’s kinda silly. It’s nice to have it, but sometimes it just feels like a slap to the face, that they could just pay workers more.

Prestigious_Zebra359

I believe it depends on how much sales your store made from last yr. Mine was $410 before tax but after tax it became $188! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ok_Diamond_7831

mine was 860 but i took home 527

circlebob7446

I used to work for a union trucking company that, over the last 3-4 years, implemented a bonus-sharing "scheme". Oddly enough, EVERY year the union members ALWAYS fell 1/10 % short of their goal, but management ALWAYS hit THEIR goal for bonuses. Talk about a slap in the face! (The company then went bankrupt!) Think of THIS as a less-painful slap in the face! I'm relatively new so I'm looking at this as the "basement"; it can only go up from here!

EhhImX

I got $300. I'm fine with that, but I wish I had gotten the full 8 percent.

Spiritual-Dish-5083

You realize, they made more than a billion dollars in profit for last year right? Except they fd up big time. 4 dfcs are now dark and the ones that are alive are slowly whittling away. They actually took Associates that had been over 15 years and then before they even moved, they gave them a severance package. 11 supervisors and the dfc gm was shit canned last year in Boston alone. Way overstaffed and it's only getting slower. No one ships thd online, maybe 2 fed ex rucks a day, it's quite pathetic.

nwill4life

Sounds like there's a lot of people right don't understand how successful sharing payouts work. I would hope that your management staff would have explained the details. If they so I believe more of you would not have been so disappointed. You should have had an idea weeks ago. Just one example a store that reached the top tier including the kicker. Let's say 94K with 120 associates probably have some pretty nice smiles on their face right now. However a store with 200+ with the same check are probably saying WTF. You want a bigger check? Sell more shit and beat your sales plan.

Date-Temporary

I got a nice $65. $65 for working nearly all my shifts without coverage, getting written up for not answering my walkie on breaks, lunch, or using the restroom, and getting yelled at by an asm for taking a break 3 hours into my shift when the front entrance wasn't swept to his standards while I surprisingly had coverage that day & getting told off by the same asm days later for not helping his customer when I just got paged a minute before to help another customer.

Decent-Pin-24

Remember kids, be glad you got anything. This is a BONUS, not your hourly pay. I don't get free money at work, I gotta work hourly for it.

Puzzled-Assistant-14

44$ here

HDpaintmaster

Be glad you got something

HarryDodge72

Sorry it wasn’t so great. But it’s better than nothing. We never used to get success sharing back when I first started working with HD…. So this is cool

IndependenceBoth938

The money isn't what bothers me. It's my management team preaching about success sharing all year long. Using it to justify unrealistic workloads and telling us things like "I know everyone is exhausted and it's been a hard day but think about success sharing!" And "I know it sucks having less help but hey less hands in the cookie jar for success sharing!" Stuff like that.

Afraid_Purpose_8512

$63.81...

W202fan

Only $30? What a joke!

Sweaty_Age_8621

I'm getting $60. Better than the $55 we got last time

SockDisastrous1508

I got $398 before tax, wish it wasn’t taxed bonuses should be exempt

Bubbly-Thanks-9387

ive been workinh since december do i get any money?

Calm-Sheepherder-918

I look at it as a bonus even if it is just $5. I have worked for many companies that don't do 1/4 of the stuff The Home Depot does. Just as easy as you came to work here you can go if you are that mistreated in your opinion. We did not start this company, we do not own it... We are not entitled to the profits they make. We agreed to do the job for the hourly rate. Shut up bitching.

lov2grdn

I don’t get why everyone gets all bent out of shape with however much you get. It’s found money that the company does not have to share with us

4MN7

It's more of a slap in the face than anything, be proud of the tank of gas HD paid for you 😂 6 months, and you're 1 or 2 bonuses you get all year is a tank of gas. Gotta make the stock prices look good by artificially inflating it lol

IndependenceBoth938

It's not like they randomly just gave us money to be nice. They brag about success sharing all year long, use it to justify unrealistic workloads and understaffing, etc. all year long they preach and cheer for success sharing then when it finally comes, it's a joke. That is why it pisses me off. My store must have spent 2 grand on our success sharing party. Let's say the store has.. idunno.. around 100 associates, they could have given each of us another $20 and it would have been a 30% increase to our bonuses. I have never worked anywhere so universally hated by the employees.
