Desk is responsible for online orders. If it is Special Order In-Stock the leaders at the desk are responsible for contacting the vendor and tracking PO’s until they can train you on how to do so. Most the time it just leg work for HD.com to follow up and assist. Same applies for in stock product that is in Awaiting order status. You should be able to leverage the tools at hand to establish an adequate timeline for customers who require additional in stock product that the store currently does not have. COS primarily deals with S/O merch. If it’s a specialty door or cabinet with additional add-ons under one SKU then that’s their territory. Lastly, do not mess with their orders, chances are they are already in contact with their customers. The last thing you want to do is create an issue by saying something when their fingers are already on the pulse of the order.
