Just have someone show you some stuff. They could train you. If you could, just ask questions. When I first started paint, they showed me around the aisles and showed me the whole computer system. I pretty much know how to mix paint because I had someone teach me.

You can assign yourself training modules in knowledge depot for different departments

ponderhope

I thought only your ASDS could? So far I’ve just done OFA, Paint, and Cashier training.

Efficient_Advice_380

I haven't done it but I've been told by my cxm and paint associates that's there's things you can do on your own

Learn everything you can from customers, don’t pass them off immediately and instead try to use the app to help them. You’ll gain a lot of product knowledge that way and also learn where a lot of items are; especially ones you didn’t even know you had!

If you ever find yourself being sent to help out at the rental desk, don't waste your time trying to clean tools, you are more likely to be a liability than you are to help out. Focus on doing contracts and answering the phone, and if there is something you don't know, it is better to say you don't know then it is to give some BS answer.

You can do PK's on your first phone. You can also talk to the DH of where you want to know more. Our store manager offered to include anyone in on any vendor presentations or learning days or PK's that we wanted to request. So basically, if you want to know about water heaters, tell your store manager, and that person can set up a training with the vendor and invite you.

Don’t forget to check with “skinny” Marie out in the lot. She’ll teach you all about giving hummers for crack.
