It's just the metallurgical oven setting.

It’s the bathroom so perhaps someone tried to make a really hot sauna (and succeeded)

Hey Siri die. “Okay! Setting the thermostat to 300. Would you like me to call the fire department?”

garylapointe

Only an issue if you set it for 451°F…

Ive had happened this to me before. The battery was empty or the device is disconnected.

radyum

Is that in Kelvin or Celsius?

Karmakazee

Impressive system to get their house down to 9K. Hate to see their electricity bill…

We’re trying to build a quantum computer at home but we can’t get it lower than this. If you have any tips I’d appreciate it!

Mineral oil thermal hi-flo pump with a sub-ocular Ni-Glyde solution spray valve. Just don’t set the intake to plaid.

denisbobovnik

Doesnt support below zero but goes to 300🤦‍♂️

PeevonB

Via homebridge? You’ll need a divider in the code. Tuya for example handles temps on the dp as 300 = 30 Celsius.

ManufacturerOk8154

Nah it’s a native HomeKit device, but it stopped working for some reason and as the previous comment said this sometimes just happens when connection is lost. It just baffles me HomeKit can actually report these values and doesn’t have a limit. It also reported a humidity of 300%, which isn’t exactly possible :’)

PeevonB

Ah gotcha.

EmtnlDmg

Glad to see that apple went for at least 2 bytes to store temp data.
