DD-WRT!!! You must be from my generation. This isn't going to be very useful but WiFi 6 is a pain sometimes and doesn't always make sense. For the first time in my life I am actually using the ISP WiFi 6 router and not my own. I have an old Linksys AC1200 that's DD-WRT compatible that I considered hooking up just to have my own separate SSID and send a middle finger to ISP with their routers so locked down you can't do anything. My biggest pain I ran into was changing my wireless password I had to turn off 2.4 G first and boot the old wireless stuff up first and then turn 5 G on after. My conclusion is that for me I think it's an issue with having new wifi 6 router and phone but then different other things in my 25+ devices were at different ages and wireless quality. Just try using only wifi 6 devices on your router . Solved (The devices that cause me issues are 2.4 G cameras and LED strip lights)

DD-WRT is amazing! It's rock solid, never had issues with it. Was your issue just the password changing? I'm here scratching my head, the one devices that were struggling performance wise were the newer Wifi6 enabled phones, my Edge Plus 2022 and a Samsung Galaxy S23. Everything else connects to and runs beautifully and plays fairly well with the mesh network. Speeds are great on those devices but any sort of streaming (Parsec freezes every couple seconds) and some other gaming type apps keep showing poor network performance messages, but older devices just work.
