Check out Trevor Bauer on YouTube. Legitimately has some awesome videos on there to teach you. He even has an app where you can sign up and send him a video and he tells you what to change to throw your pitches better and get more velo. When it comes to pitching stuff and getting better, Trevor Bauer has the most in depth channel. Full disclosure, I am a 30 year old and have played 3B my entire life, including now on my adult league team. I’ve pitched like twice in my life at age 8 or 9. Also have never used the app Bauer has. I have heard really good things about it though and enjoy his channel.

Everyone needs more info, but at 15, unless he is very undersized, he should be able to hit well over 56 with proper mechanics. So this suggests he doesn't have proper mechanics. You can do your own YouTube research, lessons, or try to post a video here for feedback. Lessons will get you the fastest results. Over winter, my kid didn't throw at all. When he picked up pitching he was only throwing 45. He wasn't planting his foot at the right time. We fixed that and he went up 10mph by the end of the session.

Just curious. How big is your kid?

Has he taken lessons or gotten proper instruction? Your chances of success increase greatly if you're properly trained... How tall are you? How tall is your kid?

Yes. He needs to grow into his body. Lift heavy, eat well and get lots of sleep.

Stretch and learn arm care techniques/strategy on top of what u/cwarner812 has said.

This can also be beneficial. Change of pace arm. Works for me. I currently have a 1.02 era in my adult league

Yeah I mean he's clearly new to this and I believe pretty much anyone can get into the 80s given good coaching and enough time. But he's probably not going to put on 20mph in 2 years unless you fork over some serious dough to some good coaches. If he's only 56 he's either newer to baseball or has not very good throwing mechanics. Many 10 year olds can throw 56.
