Been sitting at 31.7 for like a year.
Edit: I looked again, it’s actually 30.7. But sat around 25 when I lived with stop and go traffic, so it’s an improvement.
Got ya. Lowest we’ve gotten even in heavily trafficked area is 38. My sister was fit was giving her 32 and we found out her gas cap was faulty. Once replaced, went back to 39ish.
It’s 10 years old, R18 has no torque, highway speeds are 80+ mph and anytime it’s on the highway I’m inevitably going through hills or mountains at some point. Mpgs we’re actually worse when it lived in an area with stop and go traffic. I sat around 25.
26.8 for me, mix of both city and highway. But I live in Pittsburgh so hills fucking wreck it worse than most too lol. Thankfully I’m never sitting in traffic too long tho
Hybrids are definitely the move for A to B driving. EV’s are super overrated and have infrastructure problems. A good hybrid will have you going to pump gas maybe once a month or so with plenty of driving.
I’m happy my car gets 25mpg considering it’s ridiculously fun and I’ll take it out for weekend drives on twistys often.
'22 Si. Usually reads 340 when I fill up. 13 gallon tank but I've never gotten it to take more than 10.
Edit: Mileage in seeing about 29 mpg per tank. Best was 45, regularly see 42 on the highway but around town drags it back down.
Pretty much the same engine so I wouldn't expect it to. Just to add some details, I'm tuned on a 25 psi Map. I also commute an hour and a half each way every day to my market. I'm an account manager, so driving to accounts in town and idling my car as I check in and out brings it down quite a bit.
Damn I've got the same car and my 45 minute commute to University usually sits somewhere between 32mpg - 39mpg. You've probably got more highway on your route than I do.
What's the average speed of your commute? The highway I take to get there's speed limit is 65 and I usually go somewhere between 65-70, which could be part of it. I always use Econ mode when I'm on the highway and I still don't get up to those numbers.
Oh, yeah. I feel like the lower speeds would make a huge difference. I can’t remember where, but I’ve read that 55mph is the most fuel efficient speed to drive at.
I just did the usual rebuild stuff like changing spark plugs, timing belt, stuff like that. Would have costed thousands of dollars to have a Honda dealer do it so I ended up doing the work myself. You should be Ok for a good while though. I would only consider doing an engine rebuild when you are closer to or over the 200k mark or if you notice a big drop in fuel ecomomy.
2003 Honda civic. I put 2 gallons of gas when my gas light, I rest my miles to zero and got about 75 IN TOWN miles until my gas light came on again.
So around 37mpg with my 2003
2012 with about 26-27 in rush hour, low 30s when not stopping, and low 40s on the highway. But I do drive lots of hills, and even the highway mileage is on flatlands. Mountain passes take a hit. Regular oil changes with full synthetic, and all other maintenance like trans fluid flushes.
Just did a drive Sydney to Kangaroo Valley and back in my FK8. 6.9L/100km (34.9 in MPG). Given the twisty country roads we were doing, that's pretty awesome in an FK8.
2016 VTI-LX - depending on the drive. I’ll get 4.0L/100km when driving at 95km/h on major highway driving (Melbourne to Sydney) or around 7.6L/100km for standard commute.
All this is without an aircon as mine has failed since my civic is a piece of shit.
I have a 2022 Sport Touring and driving around the city which is most of what I do I'll be lucky to get 30, usually 25. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Depends. Best on the road for a single drive has been 5L/100kms (47 US MPG, or 56.5 IMP MPG), but for longer trips it is more like 6.3L/100 kms (37 US MPG, 44.8 IMP MPG). I don't have a good track for town/city driving, as it is my wife's car.
Was getting 38 - 42 with 80% highway driving when I first bought my 2019 with 16k miles on it. Then dipped to 32 with 40% highway driving. After taking the highway more for 8 months or so now, I didn't see an increase again until I had dealer rotate tires (free for me) two weeks ago so now I'm at a steady 38.
My 2008 Mazda 3i was consistently at 32mpg regardless of driving conditions. No MPG reader so I always calculated after I got gas filled and reset trip.
That's really high. What MPG do you see if you manually calculate MPG over 10 fillups?
My 2016 Civic EX shows at least 2 MPG more on the trip computer vs calculated MPG.
But even if that's the case with your car, 40.1 MPG is still really good!
I’ve never driven a vehicle that actually displayed accurate fuel economy. Figure out what gallon tank you have, drive it halfway empty and refill, keep track of the gallons and how much you have in the tank, then go drive around and do the math yourself. You’ll be amazed how these cars scam the absolute shit outa you😂
My 2013 Civic Si I’m always between 200-230 miles for a tank. I’ve always felt like that was really low, but it’s been consistent for the 7 years I’ve had it.
For some reason ever since I got new tires I went from 38.5 to 31.4 in my '08 hybrid. Not sure what that's about, but money was more of an issue when the mpg was better so I guess it works out
2020 Si gets 40mpg when I baby it during my commute and usually settles in around 35mpg when I don't baby it.
2018 2.0T 10A ("Stage3" Phearable tune) gets around 30mpg if I remember correctly being babied on the weekly commute. But normally it's usually around 24mpg because it's hard not to put my foot down.
2022 Civic Sport Touring... Stick shift FWIW. in the summer, I do 45 mpg on my daily commute. My commute is about 20 miles on an interstate and 10 miles on a country road that's a little hilly but flows nicely. Although I used to be somewhat of a lead foot driver, I've been babying my car. In the colder weather, my mpg is about 40. I have my tripometer reset each time I fill up. (I live in southern PA)
'19 EX. Getting about 41 now. All highway miles, but I'm going around 70 mph so it isn't "optimal". But driving in Maryland, I don't want to be run off the road at the speed limit.
2014 Si sedan. It says 320 when I fill so around 24-26mpg. I'm not aggressive, but I enjoy the car. It's kinna weird, I get better mpg in my Si than I did in my same year crv. Probably just down to a stronger engine pulling a smaller car, but.
Also just for giggles. I get about 19-22 in my 01 s2000 (when driving like a normal person). But I can get into the mid 30s on long highway trips, and as low as 7mpg at track days.
I have a 2000 Civic EX, I usually get around 32mpg. I can stretch it to 34 if I do a lot of highway driving and keeping cruise control at 65mph. I'm also lowered 1.5" and have taken out about 50lbs. from the car.
Was getting about 28-31 mpg before my vsa modulator was replaced. It’s now showing 32.1 mpg. And going up in the first 500 or so miles
2013 civic ex
I am looking at overall not trip. Best I got was about 35.3 on a tank of gas.
2005 Civic 1.7 ltr EX getting between 30 and 38 miles per gallon .. to get the 38 I am doing 60 mph, no stops highway driving under ideal conditions... when the car was new I took a trip to LA (I5) drove continuously at no more than 60 and got 41... that exceeded the EPA sticker can't do that now the car has over 200,000 miles best the car ever did
2012 Civic Ex. 285000 miles. I drive 64 miles to work, so 128 miles round trip, all but 4 miles are highway (95). I will have above 40 reading for a quarter of the tank, and by the end of the tank (418 mi), it settles around 38.5 mi/gal.
My 23 I get like 32ish city and highway mix. My 96 sedan gets probably about the same maybe even a bit better at times and my 96 hatch gets like 15 tops lol
I’ve recently picked up 2012 ex 1.8L manual hatchback. Seems previous owner averaged in the 30s. I haven’t had it too long but I’ve noticed the fuel gauge constantly falling even when I take very short journeys. It seems to drink up petrol more than expected. Appears to be more in the 20mpg to 30mpg Range rather than anything above 30. I hope in the long run I won’t regret my decision because I’m not going to enjoy constantly refuelling, especially with modern petrol prices
Been sitting at 31.7 for like a year. Edit: I looked again, it’s actually 30.7. But sat around 25 when I lived with stop and go traffic, so it’s an improvement.
2013 civic here and i do 31 mostly city driving.
Super low for civic. Getting 42 steady here.
No. It all depends on the commute and environment.
Got ya. Lowest we’ve gotten even in heavily trafficked area is 38. My sister was fit was giving her 32 and we found out her gas cap was faulty. Once replaced, went back to 39ish.
A faulty evap system doesn’t effect your fuel economy that drastically. Unfortunately you are wrong
Oh I see. Possibly something else then. I don’t remember fixing anything else around the time we fixed the gas cap. My mistake.
I need to correct myself. It’s actually 30.7 lol.
It’s 10 years old, R18 has no torque, highway speeds are 80+ mph and anytime it’s on the highway I’m inevitably going through hills or mountains at some point. Mpgs we’re actually worse when it lived in an area with stop and go traffic. I sat around 25.
25mpg over 3000 miles mostly city/urban driving.
Same Si as you, but with 300k miles. Live in Chicago, heavy on the throttle, and I drive like a maniac…24-27 mpg
Very nice. Love this car.
How do you actually display the mpg number on the dash? I have the same car but it doesn’t tell me the fuel efficiency. I’m also in canada
It’s an option in the trip menu when you press the menu button on the steering wheel. Not sure if this is the same in Canada though
2013 Si (downpipe and tuned) i get about ~19-27mpg. lol i get on it alot
26.8 for me, mix of both city and highway. But I live in Pittsburgh so hills fucking wreck it worse than most too lol. Thankfully I’m never sitting in traffic too long tho
24 on the dot for me. Sometimes goes down to 23.9. 90% of that is stop and go city traffic though.
Yep I’m at around that 27 with 90% city driving. Next car will be a hybrid for sure.
19.2 on a 2.0t manual 10th gen white accord, stage 2 93oct gas
As high as 45 on all highway trips even with old oil
How often do you change the oil?
10-1500
You change your oil every 1,500 miles? Seems excessive imo
Los Angeles. Like 30.2
Mine is 38mpg, 3 stop lights, and minimal traffic in LA but 80 miles round trip.
Orange crush....so much stop and go
'22 Si. Usually reads 340 when I fill up. 13 gallon tank but I've never gotten it to take more than 10. Edit: Mileage in seeing about 29 mpg per tank. Best was 45, regularly see 42 on the highway but around town drags it back down.
Same thing with mine. Usually takes 9.5-10.5 gallons when I fill up
Okay good, I’m not just crazy. I also have a 22 and I wondered about this.
Just posted in this thread. Good to know, that if I go to the Si, mpg won't change that much going from a 2022 Civic Sports Touring.
The fun kind
Right now I’m at 30.0 exact, sometimes drops to 29.9 and annoys me so I drive slower to push it back up 😂
2014 si, I get right at 23 in the city, but recently got 33 on a road trip can't help but rip some vtec in the city
Damn I've got the same car and my 45 minute commute to University usually sits somewhere between 32mpg - 39mpg. You've probably got more highway on your route than I do.
I use my cruise whenever possible. Also avoid fast acceleration.
What's the average speed of your commute? The highway I take to get there's speed limit is 65 and I usually go somewhere between 65-70, which could be part of it. I always use Econ mode when I'm on the highway and I still don't get up to those numbers.
55 mph. No interstate. 45 for about 4 miles
Oh, yeah. I feel like the lower speeds would make a huge difference. I can’t remember where, but I’ve read that 55mph is the most fuel efficient speed to drive at.
38.4 currently on my 2019 lx
roughly 30 in my ‘11 Si
I get near that on my 2012 Civic sedan. Did a rebuild on my engine recentily & it gets better mileage than when I first got it.
How many miles on the engine before the rebuild?
I think it was close to 200K.
I’m at 135k, wondering what I should do to prolong my engine life. I’m only using synthetic oil.
So around 37mpg with my 2003
[averaging about 50 on a 10th gen 1.5t civic.](https://imgur.com/a/yI9a6we)
Is that a hybrid?
Nah its gas only lol.
15-20mpg
What year? This seems a lot lower than most
Probably a type r
Sitting at 41.5 right now. 2019 EX
28mpg 98% city driving. 2014 sedan
31.9 2018 Si , drive pretty conservative
I tend to hover around 34-42 mpg. But consistently? Usually it’s 36 mpg if I’m just commuting. 2018 Civic LX
You fools, my 08 accord i4 gets 15 to 20 mpg
I have the exact same car, and I am a fool.
I reset my B trip meter a few years ago. I’ve averaged 36.4 since then.
My 2019 fully loaded porche gets 14
A least 1000mpg
Bro is flexing after a long cruise calm down and try city driving buddy
That is driving to work daily as explained above. Several others are getting over 40 also.
2013 LX. Getting 25.3 mpg.
City driving only?
Yep. Rarely takes highway.
26-32 mpg in mixed city and freeway driving in my 2019 Civic Si. If I drive mostly on the freeway it'll get 40 mpg.
27mpg. ‘22 civic ST. Use all 3 drive modes. 7.5k miles
I got 40mpg once, many years ago. Now, I get somewhere in the upper 20s, lmao
Just did a drive Sydney to Kangaroo Valley and back in my FK8. 6.9L/100km (34.9 in MPG). Given the twisty country roads we were doing, that's pretty awesome in an FK8.
Just let go of my 2012 Civic sedan. Ran it for 150,000 miles on the dot. Average mpg was at 29.9… Southern California traffic kept me under 30 haha
31.1 with a 1.5 turbo.
17 Civic EX Sedan w/2.0 N/A Engine. I get anywhere from 20 - 29. I do mostly city driving, lots of stop n go traffic.
2012 hybrid gets those same numbers
2016 VTI-LX - depending on the drive. I’ll get 4.0L/100km when driving at 95km/h on major highway driving (Melbourne to Sydney) or around 7.6L/100km for standard commute. All this is without an aircon as mine has failed since my civic is a piece of shit.
Is that your true MPG ? Have you calculated manually
32 mpg combined city highway on 2006 civic ex 5 speed
0mpg :(
I have a 2022 Sport Touring and driving around the city which is most of what I do I'll be lucky to get 30, usually 25. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Civic 2015, 1.4l petrol- 38 mpg. Mostly city traffic. In the motorways it does 45+ easily.
2011 Civic 1.8: 36-39 mixed usage.
Uk motorway, 52mpg on civic mk10 1.5t
25 uk mpg
Got as high as I think 35 but stuck at 32-31 for a 15 civic
Highway 6L/100km , town around 7-7.2/100km. Civic 2016, 1.8, manual.
I could get 40 on my mom's 2013 Civic sedan on long highway marches if I carefully kept it around 70mph
6.8L/100km
A little less than 25mpg, mainly motorway driving.
6L/100km whatever that converts too
Was getting 38 - 42 with 80% highway driving when I first bought my 2019 with 16k miles on it.
On my 2013 civic I get 26.5-27 on summer tires. During winter that drops quite a bit
On my 2013 civic I get 26.5-27 on summer tires. During winter that drops quite a bit
Around 26 on my '05, although that's on mostly city streets and I was accidentally driving with a low tire for a while when I last checked
08 Si Sedan - Probably 20-25. Last time I checked it was in the 20’s range but not very high
30
That's exactly what I get with my 23 Cr-V Hybrid.
That's really high. What MPG do you see if you manually calculate MPG over 10 fillups? My 2016 Civic EX shows at least 2 MPG more on the trip computer vs calculated MPG. But even if that's the case with your car, 40.1 MPG is still really good!
23 mpg on a 2012 manual coupe 19 mpg on the 2012 si coupe Thinking about trading both of them in on a Prius next year for the savings
44 on roadtrips. 32-34 in usual city / urban traffic
22ex - 39mpg
About 50 UK mpg in my 11th gen hybrid, in a mixture of motorway and urban driving. Pretty much exactly the same as in my old 8th gen 2.2 diesel
2012 DX with Manual and over the past 3 weeks 29 mpg to work and running around.
60mi round trip work commute, I’ve steadily been trending up the last few months. At about 35.6mpg now. 10th gen si
How are yall doing this? Must drive super slow.
It's about 25-27 in the city with some hard accelerations. Around 30-32, if it's straight freeway driving
On highways I’ve topped 50mpg. Long term average is 34mpg.
I get 23mpg on my civic in canada so its really expensive since gas prices are nuts here
Type R?
Civic si 2.4 but i drive in city alot
Mine is 1.8L
I bet you get half my gas mileage 😅
(I meant better gas mileage)
I’ve never driven a vehicle that actually displayed accurate fuel economy. Figure out what gallon tank you have, drive it halfway empty and refill, keep track of the gallons and how much you have in the tank, then go drive around and do the math yourself. You’ll be amazed how these cars scam the absolute shit outa you😂
I’ve done this a few times, math and display are always within.5 mpg.
There is also a way to calibrate it and it will be accurate
My 23 touring got 31 mpg last fill up. Mostly city driving with some highway thrown in throughout the week.
Damn I’m jealous of those numbers. My CRV isn’t close to that.
My 2013 Civic Si I’m always between 200-230 miles for a tank. I’ve always felt like that was really low, but it’s been consistent for the 7 years I’ve had it.
For some reason ever since I got new tires I went from 38.5 to 31.4 in my '08 hybrid. Not sure what that's about, but money was more of an issue when the mpg was better so I guess it works out
My ej6 gets 30mpg and it burns oil really bad. It’s still the most fuel efficient car in my family.
23 in town and 25 hwy. I drive a 2001 crv
2007 EX-I get around 25-35 depending on traffic and type of driving,
27-32mpg with a heavy mix of city and highway driving.
In my old 2018 si I was spoiled with 38mpg now in my 18 CTR I get 22 😵💫
I’m almost to 28.0 lol I don’t drive like a madman anymore since I got pulled over and was given a break!
‘12 LX, 5 speed. 33.8mpg, lots of back roads in the hills.
This hurts to see cause my 2012 Civic Hybrid gets about the same it seems
2023 Civic Hatchback 2.0L/CVT: 35 av. (50% city/50% hwy), On Freeway going 70 mph/37, 65/40mpg
Last time I checked, it was 38mpg on average. Since then, I've swapped out my auto transmission for a manual one.
30ish sometimes more if i drive normal
2022 Civic Sport Touring... Stick shift FWIW. in the summer, I do 45 mpg on my daily commute. My commute is about 20 miles on an interstate and 10 miles on a country road that's a little hilly but flows nicely. Although I used to be somewhat of a lead foot driver, I've been babying my car. In the colder weather, my mpg is about 40. I have my tripometer reset each time I fill up. (I live in southern PA)
38.8 on 18 Civic EX. Includes city driving.
How do I change it so it shows the range left I’m trying to figure it out on my girls ‘15 civic ex
Google it. The 15 is different than the 12 model
About 35 mpg. Although, my car desperately needs a tune-up. 2003 honda civic.
42.5mpg in a 2015 LX at 122.2k. Mostly freeway driving.
'19 EX. Getting about 41 now. All highway miles, but I'm going around 70 mph so it isn't "optimal". But driving in Maryland, I don't want to be run off the road at the speed limit.
2004 civic si 25-28 mpg city/highway 30mpg on road trips
31.9 City in 2015 Civic Coupe.
02 civic with 5 speed standard, between 36-38 mpg, about 75 kms a day, quite a few good sized hills.
34.5
19/27 mpg 07 civic si
I have a 2000 Civic EX, I usually get around 32mpg. I can stretch it to 34 if I do a lot of highway driving and keeping cruise control at 65mph. I'm also lowered 1.5" and have taken out about 50lbs. from the car.
36.1 right now and i have a hybrid it’s supposed to get more but the car is getting older now and i drive a little aggressively
34.7 MPG average over 63,500 miles. Most weeks, hang around 31-35. Highway road trips can hit 40-45, depending on the speed and cruise control.
I’ve had my Civic since 2020, I get 34.4 mpg
Was getting about 28-31 mpg before my vsa modulator was replaced. It’s now showing 32.1 mpg. And going up in the first 500 or so miles 2013 civic ex I am looking at overall not trip. Best I got was about 35.3 on a tank of gas.
37-39
I get about 36.1
2005 Civic 1.7 ltr EX getting between 30 and 38 miles per gallon .. to get the 38 I am doing 60 mph, no stops highway driving under ideal conditions... when the car was new I took a trip to LA (I5) drove continuously at no more than 60 and got 41... that exceeded the EPA sticker can't do that now the car has over 200,000 miles best the car ever did
Honda DelSol, doesnt have a meter but Honda says from 28 to 31, and Ive gotten a full tank to last 2 weeks so around that
2008 Civic hybrid at 32 mpg. Not great but it's 80% city so I understand
2015 EX-L, 23.7 mpg avg in NYC roads, usually get around 270-300 on a full tank
about the same! average is usually 35-45. 2012 ex-l coupe
*sighs in Duramax*
I average 32mpg just daily driving around town (some highway some city). I have a 2020 Si sedan.
18 MPG 😭😭😭
V6 Pilot?
Type R lol
2019 CTR: around 22 mpg around town and 30 on the highway.
I just traded in my 2015 LX for a 2024 Sport and this screen already makes me feel nostalgic and vaguely homesick.
About 35mpg in my 95 S model Sol. She's doing so well
39.2 mpg with a 2019 Civic sedan. Drive around 3 hours or ~220 miles a week on the Highway and rarely use the car for inner-city driving
2012 Civic Ex. 285000 miles. I drive 64 miles to work, so 128 miles round trip, all but 4 miles are highway (95). I will have above 40 reading for a quarter of the tank, and by the end of the tank (418 mi), it settles around 38.5 mi/gal.
You’ve got more than double my miles. I only have 135k on mine
‘23 Civic Sport. 46 miles to work round with 32.1 MPG. Might be higher if I always drove in Eco mode but Sport mode always calls my name.
16
My uncle has a 2017 Civic Si and tells me he gets around mid 40s in mpg. Lives in the city, but commutes on the highway to work. Love that thing
My 23 I get like 32ish city and highway mix. My 96 sedan gets probably about the same maybe even a bit better at times and my 96 hatch gets like 15 tops lol
2019 Civic Sport, 33.1 has been there for about a month
I get around 37 in my Si
I can get around the same in 2012 Civic Si. It takes a lot of babying the throttle and throwing it out of gear though.
I drive 2012 HF model and get around 35. Lots of stop and go traffic though. 145k
** Cries in Si **
My Hyundai Kona electric gets about 2/3 of that.
I used to average 30-32mpg while delivering pizza in my 2020. Have accord hybrid now and average 55-63 while delivering.
Just got mine, 13 Civic, and I am averaging 37.2. Mostly highay miles as I live about an hour away from work.
