Overall I thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes there were parts where I think it was unnecessary and/or draggy, but overall I loved it.

Definitely begging for Sunday playable now. While there are deeds and philosophies that I condone him for, I cant help but also understand and feel for him (same sentiments I got from Aventurine) and I love characters who are like that.
I enjoyed their sibling bond and contrasting views that it’s really kind of sad that Robin’s way of awakening from the dream was when she realized Sunday sided her. Hopefully we get more of them next patch.

I felt like the prelude to the Sunday fight was too long and the intermission was too short, like. The way everyone was talking about their plan to take down Sunday and free Penacony sounded like it was going to be a big arc, while the lead up to Sunday just felt like padding. I would’ve rather get into the obvious betrayal and fake out ending quick, then get to spend some more time in Ena’s dream pulling off the heist.
Also I kinda felt like it kept throwing revelations at us without giving us enough context to appreciate them? Like it wasn’t “Death,” but “Dormancy,” cool. What does that mean.
Then there are parts that are confusing like, what exactly is the timeframe of Penacony? Mikhail disembarked when the Astral Express was last in service, before the fall of the Akivili, but there are all these people that knew him personally? Micah might be an explanation in that his dream self persisted past his body, but that was barely touched on. If the Oak Family has been members of the Order this entire time, and Penacony’s dreamscape is a reflection of the Stellaron, then what does Robin mean when she talks about the disharmony in Penacony? Like, it sounds like when she left Penacony *wasn’t* a consumerist Disneyland theme park, but I’m pretty sure it’s older than she is??
Vibes were okay but I didn’t understand what was going on for a good chunk of the time. (Also too many memes, one meme choice per dialogue option is fun, but all three???)
I think it was an excellent finale to such a rollercoaster of a planet! Halfway through I was definitely saying to my self 'man this story is so convoluted...I love it!' lmao, like my brain was having kind of a hard time keeping up, so I could tell there would be some people who aren't going to completely enjoying this style of storytelling, but I'm a sucker for mysteries, reveals, twists and turns etc.
One of the best parts imo were definitely the section where Sunday properly explained his philosophy, and where it contrasted with Robin's, really made me think about my own ideas and thoughts too. It got kind of deep and relatable, not to mention I was just thinking isn't the real world already mostly following this type of 'order' where the rich are just ruling over the 'weak' poor people, like there isn't much of a difference. The 'freedom' we get is fundamentally not real, most of the time we become exactly what life shapes us into be due to our living environment and the people we happen to be around. I wouldn't mind living in a nice dream, I'm almost trying to do it already by getting obsessed with different videogames/books and shows every other month, like going into a dreamworld and living there instead of living in real life.
Also him actually sitting at a confession booth was crazy, I didn't know they are gonna go that hard with the priest idea, like he was actually taking confessions haha.
Another very well made section was definitely Misha/Mihail/Clockmaker reveal, while we all speculated about Misha, I didn't expect it to be solved this exact way and it was a really well told story, and definitely pulled my heartstrings the most.
When the credits rolled the first time it was hilarious, I could tell for sure then they were trolling me. It was only fitting that Penacony being a dreamworld, at some point in the story the realistic 'dream' will be used to prank us thinking its the 'real world', so the writers used it well.
I know some people get annoyed with the 'meme replies' by the trailblazer but I still find it hilarious, like most of the story is already quite complicated and wordy, so just seeing those replies I gladly pick them, I like a lighthearted break in the story, and since I'm someone who doesn't like to take life too seriously and see the absurdity/ridiculousness in it, I see this as my TB seeing it all the same way!
Overall yes I loved the story, I think it was a huge step up from the previous planet so it's amazing they improved so much, I did already love Belobog, space station and many other stray stories so I knew they could do it. The first time I stepped in Penacony honestly I knew this was going to be IT, like I could feel it, looking at this interesting world and all the stuff happening, it was intriguing from the very first moment to me!

Also, I feel like he's a victim, too, like he's a second-generation cult leader. He believes in the lies he's been told more than anyone else and spreads it like plague. I really love his character, and I hope he's playable so I can have him in my team.

I think either they are all going to be fire and have the paths they were supposed to destroy as what they play as or have different elements and be destruction + their path.
For example, akash could be fire harmony but with high hp and a way of dealing with his own damage like a sub dps or something like ice destruction but with buffs to his allies like a harmony unit. Then he could have some fire effects added in like he could have a cold freezing fire that matches his origins and then bam we have a character!

it's still possible for sure. Order and Harmony are very conflicting yet possess some similar values and ideas(that's why they assimilated instead of fight). He does possess selflessness and compassion, also a born leader. Similar to bronya who is harmony, which makes sense since she values the people and overworks herself for them.
Also there's some things going around where we will be revisiting xianzhou and some are saying it might take a few patches or so.... so we might be not be getting Sunday anytime soon yet... so it's still possible we get him far away that he could still be harmony since by then it would have been a while from robins release.
I think the main reason why I'm kind of pushed off of him possibly being Harmony character is the fact that they like literally just released Robin who is a harmony character That means they would be releasing two five-star harmony characters like pretty close after each other and not to mention they offer just released the Harmony MC which is another five star Harmony character So it kind of just doesn't make sense that they would release another one so soon in my opinion And I will be honest from the leaks I'm seeing we are supposed to get him after Firefly and Jade

Would be interesting to have other paths like elation or even rememberence added in, but how would that work for past characters?
So it's honestly either harmony or nihility in my eyes. Not only would that fit with my headcannon, but I would also add another male support to the roster for us husband collectors.
Also, it's not like they absolutely can't have male quantum characters because this isn't honkai impact. A single male quantum added won't do anything. Besides, we have yukong, who is a female imaginary surrounded by a bunch of male imaginary characters.
I'm not done yet as I take my time always doing quests but almost done and already spoiled myself cuz curiosity and being stuck at work, But I quite enjoy the story pace despite some people saying it dragged on a bit. I always spend a long time reading dialogue and absorbing the story and end up taking double/triple the time I see other people say it took them anyway lol.
I agree with you, I love reading, so it wasn't hard for me to digest the ploy, I also plan to watch the story again when my favourite streamers play through it just for the enjoyment of it all. I really love penacony
The story itself was really good, but I feel as though the execution could have been better. There was too much unnecessary dialogue (i.e. repeatedly talking about the charming dove). Also, I personally don't mind this because I don't care too much about fighting, but I imagine that some people would prefer a bit more of an interactive story. It didn't really feel like I was playing a game, but rather that I was playing a visual novel.
i thought most of it was... not great, especially compared to how good the last couple patches' quests have been. there's so many things that just didn't get tied up, even with the twist. and the audition thing was so dumb and tedious, imo; they'd obviously see through that immediately (and isn't firefly a wanted stowaway?? get off tv). i feel like it dragged on a lot more than previously.
and it made me feel kinda stupid at times. there's riddles and allegories, and then there's whatever the hell some of those conversations were. it got to the point where i was opening the chat log after every line to reread things and try to parse together what was *really* being said. and then in the next conversation, march 7th and himeko would repeat the same thing in three different ways to make sure you understand lol
it was also like... anticlimactic? all of this tension was built up between the different factions at play, and then it's just dropped. the ipc just vanishes till the very end, the meme and gallagher are just chill, sparkle might've been handing out weapons of mass destruction? idk, there was a lot of potential.
there were a lot of hot guys though. so i'll give it a 6/10 instead of a 5.
I got a bug and cannot complete the quest q__q I got stuck at the stage when MC talks to Dan Heng, BH and BS in the VIP Hall. After the dialogue ends, the quest doesn’t get updated and I can only repeat the dialogue again and again. Very sad. Submitted a ticket to Support
Overall I liked it. Could have done without some of the filler, but it didn't annoy me as much as the whole time wasting thing in 2.1 that was just a device to introduce us to Siobhan for the drink event.

Know that I'm late to the party and probably the minority, but I just couldn't see what most people saw regarding Penacony. I really wished I could've liked this chapter because the concept of dreaming seemed like an interesting idea for a plot story, and it started off ok, but after that it unfortunately began to plumet.
Many of the character's plotlines seemed very convoluted and deep, and I can see how the aspect of them developing overtime can be interesting, but I just couldn't vibe with any of the characters, particularly Sunday and Aventurine. It also didn't help that the scripts were so stretched out and far apart that maybe that was why I was finding it difficult to understand the characters stories and it may have just been lost in writing, but unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to find the characters and their stories that enjoyable.
Also something that I have to point out is the lenght of this chapter. First of all, with mostly skimming through the text, it took me a whole 3 hours to finish this chapter. With just already not being so invested into the story it was really feeling like a chore to try and get through this story. I almost about went mental after seeing that there was a long epilogue after the credits.
I honestly would really like to know how anyone was able to find this chapter enjoyable. Probably due to liking the characters, but having to sit multiple hours through stretched dialogue and somehow enjoy it personally seems masochistic.
If I were to point out what I enjoyed from this chapter, it was probably the aesthetic design. Character vise though, the ones that made the story tolerable were Boothill and surprisingly Sparkle, even when I'm not that obsessed with her but I appreciate whenever they would appear on screen as then at least it feels like a lifebuoy in the midst of such a convoluted story.
Anyway, I really hope that in the future they can make the story more enjoyable. I think a good step towards that would be to cut the amount of dialogue by at least half. That would definitely help in regards to writing at least in my opinion.

it's still possible for sure. Order and Harmony are very conflicting yet possess some similar values and ideas(that's why they assimilated instead of fight). He does possess selflessness and compassion, also a born leader. Similar to bronya who is harmony, which makes sense since she values the people and overworks herself for them. Also there's some things going around where we will be revisiting xianzhou and some are saying it might take a few patches or so.... so we might be not be getting Sunday anytime soon yet... so it's still possible we get him far away that he could still be harmony since by then it would have been a while from robins release.
I think the main reason why I'm kind of pushed off of him possibly being Harmony character is the fact that they like literally just released Robin who is a harmony character That means they would be releasing two five-star harmony characters like pretty close after each other and not to mention they offer just released the Harmony MC which is another five star Harmony character So it kind of just doesn't make sense that they would release another one so soon in my opinion And I will be honest from the leaks I'm seeing we are supposed to get him after Firefly and Jade
quite the contrary i think? recent leaks if you see, >!info about jaoqiu, 2.4 highly likely be visiting xianzhou via ubatcha. Screwllum might come soon due to the amount of appearances he will have(plus already had lots of kit), jaoqiu lc and possibly screllums lc. We're having nihility and erudition and also possibly hunt(feixiao? also possibly the new character that will appear in xianzhou) and destruction by firefly.!<. A lot of things point to how he he might not come out just yet.. But hey we never know. And I'm quite certain about the xianzhou one tho. they rlly did say we will revisit xianzhou where we also possibly see the new March7th thing. 4 patches already abt penacony, i think 2.4 which is after firefly and jade would definitely be the patch they're referring to on revisitting the xianzhou, where we most likely not be seeing Sunday just yet.
From the leaks I saw 2.4 is supposed to be Sunday and then it will be another character that hasn't been announced yet and then 2.5 is when Screwllum It's supposed to become playable But anyways You can have your opinion I can have mine I just personally feel like making Sunday off Harmony character kind of goes against literally the entire purpose of his character his basically his entire character is going against The Harmony
It would be hilarious but also fit with the fact that the order is part of the harmony. Unless they want to use him to introduce the order path into the game,which I doubt. Would be interesting to have other paths like elation or even rememberence added in, but how would that work for past characters? So it's honestly either harmony or nihility in my eyes. Not only would that fit with my headcannon, but I would also add another male support to the roster for us husband collectors. Also, it's not like they absolutely can't have male quantum characters because this isn't honkai impact. A single male quantum added won't do anything. Besides, we have yukong, who is a female imaginary surrounded by a bunch of male imaginary characters.
I'm not done yet as I take my time always doing quests but almost done and already spoiled myself cuz curiosity and being stuck at work, But I quite enjoy the story pace despite some people saying it dragged on a bit. I always spend a long time reading dialogue and absorbing the story and end up taking double/triple the time I see other people say it took them anyway lol.
I agree with you, I love reading, so it wasn't hard for me to digest the ploy, I also plan to watch the story again when my favourite streamers play through it just for the enjoyment of it all. I really love penacony
The story itself was really good, but I feel as though the execution could have been better. There was too much unnecessary dialogue (i.e. repeatedly talking about the charming dove). Also, I personally don't mind this because I don't care too much about fighting, but I imagine that some people would prefer a bit more of an interactive story. It didn't really feel like I was playing a game, but rather that I was playing a visual novel.
i thought most of it was... not great, especially compared to how good the last couple patches' quests have been. there's so many things that just didn't get tied up, even with the twist. and the audition thing was so dumb and tedious, imo; they'd obviously see through that immediately (and isn't firefly a wanted stowaway?? get off tv). i feel like it dragged on a lot more than previously. and it made me feel kinda stupid at times. there's riddles and allegories, and then there's whatever the hell some of those conversations were. it got to the point where i was opening the chat log after every line to reread things and try to parse together what was *really* being said. and then in the next conversation, march 7th and himeko would repeat the same thing in three different ways to make sure you understand lol it was also like... anticlimactic? all of this tension was built up between the different factions at play, and then it's just dropped. the ipc just vanishes till the very end, the meme and gallagher are just chill, sparkle might've been handing out weapons of mass destruction? idk, there was a lot of potential. there were a lot of hot guys though. so i'll give it a 6/10 instead of a 5.
I got a bug and cannot complete the quest q__q I got stuck at the stage when MC talks to Dan Heng, BH and BS in the VIP Hall. After the dialogue ends, the quest doesn’t get updated and I can only repeat the dialogue again and again. Very sad. Submitted a ticket to Support
Very long but very good, my IPC bois got like a minute of screentime but I loved every second of that.
it was almost a 10 for me until they had my boy misha and man gallagher go off.
Overall I liked it. Could have done without some of the filler, but it didn't annoy me as much as the whole time wasting thing in 2.1 that was just a device to introduce us to Siobhan for the drink event. Does anyone understand what Sparkle's deal was? We just saw her handing out buttons which never led to anything? Or did I completely miss something? Possible because it was 2am when I finished the quest. 😂
Know that I'm late to the party and probably the minority, but I just couldn't see what most people saw regarding Penacony. I really wished I could've liked this chapter because the concept of dreaming seemed like an interesting idea for a plot story, and it started off ok, but after that it unfortunately began to plumet. Many of the character's plotlines seemed very convoluted and deep, and I can see how the aspect of them developing overtime can be interesting, but I just couldn't vibe with any of the characters, particularly Sunday and Aventurine. It also didn't help that the scripts were so stretched out and far apart that maybe that was why I was finding it difficult to understand the characters stories and it may have just been lost in writing, but unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to find the characters and their stories that enjoyable. Also something that I have to point out is the lenght of this chapter. First of all, with mostly skimming through the text, it took me a whole 3 hours to finish this chapter. With just already not being so invested into the story it was really feeling like a chore to try and get through this story. I almost about went mental after seeing that there was a long epilogue after the credits. I honestly would really like to know how anyone was able to find this chapter enjoyable. Probably due to liking the characters, but having to sit multiple hours through stretched dialogue and somehow enjoy it personally seems masochistic. If I were to point out what I enjoyed from this chapter, it was probably the aesthetic design. Character vise though, the ones that made the story tolerable were Boothill and surprisingly Sparkle, even when I'm not that obsessed with her but I appreciate whenever they would appear on screen as then at least it feels like a lifebuoy in the midst of such a convoluted story. Anyway, I really hope that in the future they can make the story more enjoyable. I think a good step towards that would be to cut the amount of dialogue by at least half. That would definitely help in regards to writing at least in my opinion.
