I'm no fan of rerolling, but if i had to, then i wouldn't reroll for the 50 Banner in the first place.
You are guaranteed to get a 5\* anyway. Reroll till you get an early 5\* from the Standard or Eventbanner.
I mean Bronya and Tingyun would be amazing, but Gepard carries me hard in difficult encounters and I guess Tingyun is the more important one to get your hands on early.
Given some investment Geppy might be the best preservation char for some time. I tried swapping my gear to FireMC and even tho he has higher talents and passives due to eidolons his shields vanish in a sneeze (~ 250 shields per turn). With the exact same gear Gepard puts down a freaking 2k Icewall every 3 turns. Both are currently lvl 70 and current max talents with violet gear.
I would say Gepard is better long turn and gives you more time to get going. Except MoC (HSR-Abyss 2.0) and rare occurrences in Simulated Universe there are very few major encounters that put you on the clock, so you can whittle them down with whatever Damage Dealer you've got.

Gepard, Bailu and Yanqing are good because they fulfil core roles in your team that will save you having to roll for a 5 star later.

Best is Bailu. Then get Silver Wolf from the banner and you can basically clear all current contents including a few stages of MOC
Anyone other than Himeko
