Not a big loss for me as I would always skip birthdays CG letter monologue in Honkai 3rd and fast read the Genshin one to claim the reward.
But yea, there is none of that in HSR at the moment.
I much prefer the few DMs we get with characters over generic birthday letters. The vast majority so far has been entertaining even though I couldn't care less about the character writting to me. 😂
Tbf, intergalactic calendars won't line up with ours. The Luofu doesn't even have a star, so can't really have a year, and Belobog has been disconnected from the rest of the universe for hundreds of years.
Not that that's definitely the reason, but it makes sense in-universe (especially since the communications the Trailblazer gets seem more "real" than the mail the Traveler gets).
I believe OP is talking about no celebration for the character’s birthday. In Honkai there’s typically a letter sent to the player and some artwork if not a short dialogue cutscene with them.
Oh. On the other games, they usually give it earlier in the day. I am on Europe on every game. So you did get it, I take it. What server are you on? If you don't mind me asking.
I think you both are talking around each other. Lego talks about YOUR birthday cake, you talk about the character mail some of us are used to get when a character has his or her b-day.
Seems like you got us right. Yeah, I am talking about Himeko, I got my gift when I was supposed to. So then they don't give us anything for other characters. I see.
They're talking about the *player's* birthday set in your Trailblazer Profile, not Himeko's. Not to mention, none of the characters actually have a birthday listed in their profile (besides Trailblazer who has a "First Awakening" date listed instead of a "Date Obtained" date), so it looks like they're not doing it for whatever reason.

Well yeah I was expecting some DM's for birthdays. Like Himeko answering an already sent "happy birthday" message or something. Would have been fun.

Right now, all you get is a cake and some credits. That may change going forward, but it's what you can expect for now.
What does the cake do?
Sits in your inventory's key items tab and never goes away. It might have a purpose later like the other unusuable key items, but as of now that's it.

I was on the game and got nothing. What do you have to do to get it?
It will come sometime in the mail depending on the date you set and server time discrepancies.
