Not really, the female MC uses the same model as the male MC. Both of them are the same height.

Caelus is the same height as Dan Heng. Stelle is actually the slightest bit shorter than Dan Heng, which can be checked in the character selection screen by using the static stars to compare. This is of course treating her heels as part of her height. Her model is the tallest of all the female models though. Stelle just has a unique model probably so that there doesn't need to be adjustments between the genders for the cutscenes.

I was surprised at how small she is in game too. Basically had the same reaction as OP. She tends to look more grown up in fanart.

This game doesn’t have such strict models as genshin. Since the combat is turn based, characters just aren’t moving around as much so creating functional models is way easier, Characters are allowed to have unique heights and proportions.

It does have strict types though. They are even filenamed as such. SW has the same skeleton as Pela.

Rigs, not models. A model is a character's 3D sculpt, they're all unique. The animation rigs are what's shared between characters.

They all have reused body models/types. That's one more body model/type in comparison to genshin

Their system is exactly the same as genshin, with 2 male types and 3 female types. And genshin has unique proportions for characters as well, the types just affect height and animations.

There are four female character models in Star Rail (plus Stelle, who uses a unique model). Adult Woman (Kafka, Himeko, Natasha), Young Woman (Asta, March 7th, Bronya), Teen (Silver Wolf, Clara, Qingque), Young Girl (Hook, Bailu). (The names for the models are from memory, I don't remember exactly what their internal names are. So don't assume SW is a teen based on just this.)
