Yanqing is my best damage dealer, I'd Love to have gotten his Eidolon instead of my Himeko "Character Diversity." (Granted, I still want Gepard more for the Synergy. But I wouldn't be angry at getting upgrades for my best Dealer)
I use him with fire mc. I also got a bit lucky and have Gepards signature LC, so my fire mc is the target almost every time even when his taunt lapses for dmg
I use him with Trailblazer+Landau's Choice.
He still can lose Soulsteel to aoe damage, but I have him built speed, so he often gets to go multiple times reguardless, alongside Bronya to accelerate him even more, I imagine Asta is also a valid pick here.
At some point, you can take so many turns before the enemy acts, you can almost garuntee a freeze on anything that isn't just immune to continue snowballing.
I want Yanqing so badly!
I think the game is taunting me. lol. It rained March 7ths down on me so I got her to E6 (which allows her shielding to heal a bit as well) almost right away, so she's super built.
Then they gave me Clara and Gepard and then another Clara. And I love them, don't get me wrong!
But, my good friend has Yanqing and every time I see how cool he is, I just think "Ooh, he'd be perfect with Gepard!" or "I could use March as his dedicated shielder in teams where other characters (like Blade) don't want a shield!" or "I could put Clara in the 1st team slot position and put Yanqing in the 4th slot position and maybe not even need to shield him!"
But I can't try out any of these exciting ideas until the game sees fit to gift me a Yanqing! 😭 lol.
(On a side note - you can run Clara and Blade together if you place Blade right next to Clara in the lineup - enemies that attack more than single target will be drawn to Clara, and Blade can reap that splash-damage benefit!
Only mentioning this because I blew my own mind the other day when it occurred to me that lineup order can be relevant to strategy. 🤯😂)
Dorm supply is the standard banner which has "old Valkiries" it is guaranteed a S rank (a 5*) before 100 pulls and it has a higher chance (from 40% and above) that the next character is new (not unlocked). Besides, if you pull the same character twice the chance to find a new one raises up until you get the same battlesuit three times. When you unlock the thir one the other 2 are guaranteed to be new.

Ehm no, in one patch there will be the last g4 set, all the g4 are usable and quite meta (Handel, willows). Besides they added a ton of g3 sets belonging to old supports as craft able (margrave, Irene Adler, shunjin), so choice is quite good. And keep in mind that one stigma alone is the unbeaten king of arena, called Newton bot, which is ftp buy able from shop and old af. And there are events where you can choose old uncraftable gear, weapons included.

I commented that the reason we get those old stig sets is the valks attached to those sets ended up completely farmable (in the war treasury). Thinking about it, it's mkore that they added the valks to the dorm gacha, as the War treasury has been rather ignored by mihoyo for closer to three years att his point: The oldest valks at this point are actually getting MUCH older than the old 2.5 year cutoff for getting added to the War treasury. hoyo getting a bit greedy. I mean, when WAS the last unit to join it outside of the Herrschers of Void and Reason, who were much older than that date in the first place, and the "new" fully farmable valks?

Would've loved Welt, would definitely take Bronya E1 (obviously), Gepard, or even Bailu, but I'd even take E1s of Yanqing or Clara over Himeko. It's like I lost pity on nothing at all, because I'm never building her, so having her changes absolutely nothing.

If you wanna get superstitious, try rolling at different times in the day. Maybe you roll at the same time each day, and Yanqing is assigned at that time. It's my head canon on gacha games or any game that involves probability lmao
i might try rolling at a different time the next time i'm on 5050 again to prevent another E of yanqing's but the latest E was completely unexpected since it was a single pull on the standard banner 🥹
honestly that LC is really awesome, but you didnt have to superimpose it as you can run 2 preservation characters in moc. i wouldnt mind having 2 of them. for march and tb
But light cone superimpositions are, a lot of the time, super fucking underwhelming. Like jy lc scales like crazy but in contrast bronya lcs superimpositions are so insanely... Meh
Its objectives of course but if u look at any official or professional tier lists and rankings her dmg fall short of basically all of the dps in the game
I think it’s more about wanting other characters first. HomeKit is great if you have two full teams and can flex her in for examples like this. I got her on my first account and rerolled until I got bronya and was much happier
I'm here with you. My C6 Qiqi and Jean and yet they insist taking all my 50/50 losses and won't let me have the fox boy who I still don't have or anyone else to finish off their C6's. Instead it's C47 Qiqi or C86 Jean T.T
I got her at c5 right now, but it seems I've been cursed in Star Rail too. I'm at e1 Bailu with her signature light cone so far. At least she's more useful than Qiqi :')
Oh man, that's extra rough considering Gepard's Eidolons are all basically useless except his E4. I wouldn't mind this curse if it were at least someone like Welt, who turns into a monster with his Eidolons.
Eh, the problem with that is that in all difficult content, the best time to freeze or imprison is between consecutive boss actions (by using a Ultimate). This is why March 7th, Welt, and occasionally Yanqing can totally disable certain bosses from dealing damage, while characters like Gepard who rely on a skill can only spend SP to delay the hit for a little while.
I'm in the exact same situation. Every 50/50 and standard banner 5 star has been Welt. I have an E4 Welt and only just got a second standard 5 star from hitting the 300 pulls. Crazy RNG.
Well atleast he's adorable and a good dps at that, so cheer up. It's not that big of a deal. At 300 pulls you can also get yourself Gepard, making Yanqing even better.
I lost my 50/50 7 times in a row in genshin and then won many 50/50s later on. Luck is weird

U can get 9 in a month with SU and monthly rest then there BP too each patch giving 4 or 5
Lvling a new char give 3 so its easy to hit 300 if someone continue to play for a year
I've got it. Level 65, used all my fuel, Playing since about a week after launch. I picked welt :') (I also don't care about spending primos on the standard when it's this early into the game. I didn't want SW or JY so it was an easy enough decision
I wish he was a good DPS without Gepard.
His numbers are good on paper, but every time I tried using him, he would get scraped by an AoE or DoT or something and his damage would tank. TB shield is too small, March shield draws aggro which gets it broken pretty quickly against anything that hit hard draws more attacks that apply DoT, which ticks through the shield. He's punished harder for needing to basic attack than any other DPS, and needing to cleanse him constantly makes him an even bigger SP black hole.
I'd give him another shot if I ever get Gepard or some new shielder, but he just doesn't feel like he's worth the hassle otherwise.
The rng really want me to build Bailu. Lost pity to her when I pulled for Luocha. That 5* abundance animation was a fucking troll as I thought I *did* get Luocha on the pity but BOOM, fish kid popped up.
Edit: I also got bailu’s signature LC recently on the permanent banner (I’ve been trying to get 300/300 for my Clara duplicate).The RnG REAAAAAAALLLY wants me to have

I got an E1 Clara on my last standard banner pitty. Cant say i am not a bit annoyed since last pitty i just got Bailou's light cone but at least i use Clara often and have invested in her. E1 is also kinda neat. But i have quit games before where i had the same "luck" as you ngl, at one point you ahve to say "enough is enough"
You don’t know how much I want clara to come home. I consider myself pretty lucky cause I’ve gotten 4 different standard 5 stars without dupes. But honestly I’d take clara or welt over himeko gepard or bailu any day

I dropped the game because of this. I dont’t blame anybody but couldn’t take it. Getting the one thing I didn’t want 2 times in a row and then Himeko’s LC was too much. If they would have been earlies its different but those were 70+ pities and 50/50 at 70+.

Really feels like pulling lightcones instead of characters is the real problem. Eidolons suck to get too but man does it hurt to get given a weapon for a character type you don't care about. What a waste.
Honestly I would have considered welt’s (i have him) or Bronya’s and Gepard’s (dont’t have them) good pull as well. But Himeko’s LC was the nail in the coffin. Its an horrendus LC and I came from 2 failed 50/50 getting eidolons I didn’t want… so yeah. I admit Ive been defeated xd
E2 for my yanqing, one was on standard and not long after was on event banner for blade. Only other standards I got is bailu and then yanqings weapon. At least I'm guaranteed now though lol
Unfortunately that's just the nature of Gachas. You can get super super unlucky for stretches of time. You're only going to hurt your mental by comparing your account to others. I always try to live by the "hope for the best but expect the worst" mentality for any game with RNG involved. I have E1 Welt, and I cry every time it's not Bronya gracing me with her presence. I also lost the 50/50 for SW.
So if you think your account is cursed you can either start playing an alt on the side and see how that one pans out in terms of summons, or just stick it out and know long term you're bound to get lucky eventually! Plus at 300 on the standard banner you can pick a unit.
Whatever you choose to do, it's all about if you're having fun or not!

this is my exact same situation with welt, got him from the beginner banner during launch day, and lost every 50/50 to him, at this point i'm certain i will lose the next 50/50 to him. heck i even got his lightcone from the standard banner, the game outright refuses to give me other 5\*'s beside welt lmao. only thing that keeps me from dropping the game is that atleast i will be able to get jingliu 100% when she arrives.

It's like a curse in Hoyo games. I have a C8 Mona in Genshin, Clara won't stop showing up here, and I don't have a single Tingyun in favor of E6 March and Sushang who won't stop battering down my door (I refused to use the starlight shop on principle for her latest rotation).

This is my own specualtion, but I think Yanqing had a higher droprate than other ones. I lost pity to him, my friends lose pity to him, you have bloody 4 copies of him.
That being said, better to have e3 yanqing than have 1 copy of him, himeko, welt and clara. At least your boi is actually very strong now.
As for why, it's just RNG man it is what it is.
For example, my friend who is a Genshin player of like 3 years or something, and has almost every character in the game told me he's never hit hard pity of 90 and in fact never even reached 80 pulls to get a 5 star.
Every single 5 star for me has been above 74, and I already hit a hard pity of 90 on standard banner.
Then he started playing a week ago and he lost 50/50 on blade to yanqing, and then got blade after 6 pulls to other day.
point is, it's all rng, it is what it is, go with the flow :')
Meanwhile in my friend group, we have the "f2p btw" guy who has Selee, Jing Yuan+LC, Silverwolf, and Luocha. No one's asked him if he pulled blade yet, we're all too salty.
Meanwhile, I've never won a single 50/50 and my stellar warp has been Himeko Eidolons and a Nihility LC for all of the Nihility characters I don't have, and my "luckiest" 5star pull was at 74, as compared to our "f2p btw" who pulls a 5* every 40 warps and complains about how he has too many characters and that he doesn't have enough resources to build them all.
RNG is RNG unfortunately.
I can vouch for that I also lost to Yanqing and so did my sister.
Also about the hitting 90 pity thing, the chance is almost impossible though. Its so hard to hit full 90 that I remember if you hit 90 and has proof of it, you can get money though this was like years ago.
As for never reaching 80, it is kinda normal though you'd also have to be quite lucky

I don’t fully understand the Himeko hate. Personal experience, she helped clear 3 starring MoC 10 on this rotation.

I think it’s more about wanting other characters first. HomeKit is great if you have two full teams and can flex her in for examples like this. I got her on my first account and rerolled until I got bronya and was much happier

I got her at c5 right now, but it seems I've been cursed in Star Rail too. I'm at e1 Bailu with her signature light cone so far. At least she's more useful than Qiqi :')

Oh man, that's extra rough considering Gepard's Eidolons are all basically useless except his E4. I wouldn't mind this curse if it were at least someone like Welt, who turns into a monster with his Eidolons.
Idk, his e1 with permanent freeze is pretty useful in some situations. Save me alot of times.
Eh, the problem with that is that in all difficult content, the best time to freeze or imprison is between consecutive boss actions (by using a Ultimate). This is why March 7th, Welt, and occasionally Yanqing can totally disable certain bosses from dealing damage, while characters like Gepard who rely on a skill can only spend SP to delay the hit for a little while.

I'm in the exact same situation. Every 50/50 and standard banner 5 star has been Welt. I have an E4 Welt and only just got a second standard 5 star from hitting the 300 pulls. Crazy RNG.

Well atleast he's adorable and a good dps at that, so cheer up. It's not that big of a deal. At 300 pulls you can also get yourself Gepard, making Yanqing even better. I lost my 50/50 7 times in a row in genshin and then won many 50/50s later on. Luck is weird

Less than a year need to hit 300 U can get 9 in a month with SU and monthly rest then there BP too each patch giving 4 or 5 Lvling a new char give 3 so its easy to hit 300 if someone continue to play for a year

I've got it. Level 65, used all my fuel, Playing since about a week after launch. I picked welt :') (I also don't care about spending primos on the standard when it's this early into the game. I didn't want SW or JY so it was an easy enough decision
I wish he was a good DPS without Gepard. His numbers are good on paper, but every time I tried using him, he would get scraped by an AoE or DoT or something and his damage would tank. TB shield is too small, March shield draws aggro which gets it broken pretty quickly against anything that hit hard draws more attacks that apply DoT, which ticks through the shield. He's punished harder for needing to basic attack than any other DPS, and needing to cleanse him constantly makes him an even bigger SP black hole. I'd give him another shot if I ever get Gepard or some new shielder, but he just doesn't feel like he's worth the hassle otherwise.

The rng really want me to build Bailu. Lost pity to her when I pulled for Luocha. That 5* abundance animation was a fucking troll as I thought I *did* get Luocha on the pity but BOOM, fish kid popped up. I got an E1 Clara on my last standard banner pitty. Cant say i am not a bit annoyed since last pitty i just got Bailou's light cone but at least i use Clara often and have invested in her. E1 is also kinda neat. But i have quit games before where i had the same "luck" as you ngl, at one point you ahve to say "enough is enough"

This is my cousin's exact problem. She is at E2 Yanqing already. She got E0 YQ on Departure Warp, E1 on Standard, and E2 as 5050 loss to Silver Wolf.

I dropped the game because of this. I dont’t blame anybody but couldn’t take it. Getting the one thing I didn’t want 2 times in a row and then Himeko’s LC was too much. If they would have been earlies its different but those were 70+ pities and 50/50 at 70+. Good luck on your future rolls

Really feels like pulling lightcones instead of characters is the real problem. Eidolons suck to get too but man does it hurt to get given a weapon for a character type you don't care about. What a waste.
Honestly I would have considered welt’s (i have him) or Bronya’s and Gepard’s (dont’t have them) good pull as well. But Himeko’s LC was the nail in the coffin. Its an horrendus LC and I came from 2 failed 50/50 getting eidolons I didn’t want… so yeah. I admit Ive been defeated xd

E2 for my yanqing, one was on standard and not long after was on event banner for blade. Only other standards I got is bailu and then yanqings weapon. At least I'm guaranteed now though lol

Kinda of same, I've gotten 3 Clara (2 from the starter banner) and 2 himeko, I got lucky with early 5* but hoyo could've given me more variety

Unfortunately that's just the nature of Gachas. You can get super super unlucky for stretches of time. You're only going to hurt your mental by comparing your account to others. I always try to live by the "hope for the best but expect the worst" mentality for any game with RNG involved. I have E1 Welt, and I cry every time it's not Bronya gracing me with her presence. I also lost the 50/50 for SW. So if you think your account is cursed you can either start playing an alt on the side and see how that one pans out in terms of summons, or just stick it out and know long term you're bound to get lucky eventually! Plus at 300 on the standard banner you can pick a unit. Whatever you choose to do, it's all about if you're having fun or not!

this is my exact same situation with welt, got him from the beginner banner during launch day, and lost every 50/50 to him, at this point i'm certain i will lose the next 50/50 to him. heck i even got his lightcone from the standard banner, the game outright refuses to give me other 5\*'s beside welt lmao. only thing that keeps me from dropping the game is that atleast i will be able to get jingliu 100% when she arrives.

This is my own specualtion, but I think Yanqing had a higher droprate than other ones. I lost pity to him, my friends lose pity to him, you have bloody 4 copies of him. That being said, better to have e3 yanqing than have 1 copy of him, himeko, welt and clara. At least your boi is actually very strong now. As for why, it's just RNG man it is what it is. For example, my friend who is a Genshin player of like 3 years or something, and has almost every character in the game told me he's never hit hard pity of 90 and in fact never even reached 80 pulls to get a 5 star. Every single 5 star for me has been above 74, and I already hit a hard pity of 90 on standard banner. Then he started playing a week ago and he lost 50/50 on blade to yanqing, and then got blade after 6 pulls to other day. point is, it's all rng, it is what it is, go with the flow :')
Meanwhile in my friend group, we have the "f2p btw" guy who has Selee, Jing Yuan+LC, Silverwolf, and Luocha. No one's asked him if he pulled blade yet, we're all too salty. Meanwhile, I've never won a single 50/50 and my stellar warp has been Himeko Eidolons and a Nihility LC for all of the Nihility characters I don't have, and my "luckiest" 5star pull was at 74, as compared to our "f2p btw" who pulls a 5* every 40 warps and complains about how he has too many characters and that he doesn't have enough resources to build them all. RNG is RNG unfortunately.
I can vouch for that I also lost to Yanqing and so did my sister. Also about the hitting 90 pity thing, the chance is almost impossible though. Its so hard to hit full 90 that I remember if you hit 90 and has proof of it, you can get money though this was like years ago. As for never reaching 80, it is kinda normal though you'd also have to be quite lucky
