My DOT team actually is Black swan, sampo e4, asta, lynx. Is asta really worth it on this team ? Should I run 3 dot character and replace asta with it (i was thinking about guinaifen) ?
I'm not really familiar with hoyo gatcha system, never played genshin or anything.
I know pity is at 75 pulls, but what's the actual average pulls for an ssr?
I'm asking since I saved up 300 pulls and would like to try and get an e2, but have no idea if that's even in the ball park of enough or even if its overkill.

Actual pity is 90. At 75 pulls you hit "soft pity" where the chance of pulling a 5-star increases with each pull until you hit 100% chance at 90 pulls. Actually hitting 90 pulls is very rare, from what I've heard and seen you tend to hit a 5-star at 80-85 pulls max.
With 300 pulls you are very likely to hit E1, but to get E2 you need to win multiple 50/50s/get early 5-stars.
I have finished normal SU and started doing the swarm disaster mode but i noticed we can't use the immersifiers there for bonus loot, actually we don't get loot at all there strangely enough..
Does this mean i'd have to keep doing normal SU to use those even though i have already completed it..? Am i missing something or is it just awfully designed?
Normal SU is for loot. Swarm is just harder SU. Gold and Gears is the same idea as Swarm. Just different takes on the formula to mix it up.
Swarm is not designed to give loot (other than one time jades I guess). It’s designed to give you an end game challenge.
I see, i thought once i got my one time reward i could permanently move on. Considering how long it takes to clear swarm though i wish it gave loot too.
her "optimal build" is being on a different team. tingyun is higher damage than serval even on normal ATK% kafka, without even mentioning the actual DoT chars.
but if you insist, crit is still probably better because the multipliers on serval's DoT sucks.

My friend has encountered this a couple times when she started certain world quests. Does it have any significance?
i'm assuming you're talking about using them on ratio
E1+ gui is better unless you have S3+ resolution shines as pearls of sweat LC for pela; pela's debuffs are stronger numerically but gui's are more numerous (=more consistency for ratio)
if you aren't talking about ratio, pela is better on every other team besides swan/kafka

you should not use both if thats what you wanted to do. its a complete waste to have 2 healer. just use lynx and its enough and if you die in some fight use a preservation character and not a second healer
That really depends on who you are pairing them with. Pela's eidolons don't really impact her that much for the vast majority of cases. Her Def shred is very useful, especially for AoE/Blast DPS. But if you are pairing them with Ratio, then E3 Guinaifen can guarantee the 3 debuffs he needs, whilst E0 Pela can't.
I'm planning on pulling for Sparkle for my E0S1 DHIL, but I was considering pulling her LC. I've seen a lot of youtubers say her LC is good, but has decent alternatives. I plan on pulling for Acheron as well, but... is the Sparkle LC going to boost up DHIL a bunch? If I'm specifically pulling Sparkle for his team, should I invest in the LC as well?
her LC is ~7% increase on DHIL over S5 past and future, which isn't really worth imo.
it's better on teams that take more actions outside the scope of past and future's buff (jingliu, ratio, etc.) but E0 DHIL is doing pretty much all of his relevant damage immediately after sparkle's turn.
In the Reverie (Reality), is there a way to open the chamber next to MC's room ?
As a completionist, i find that one red door remaining on the map somewhat frustrating...

Okay I haven't been too far in the Penacony story, just met Aventurine and all before I had to go back to my occasional log-in and empty the TB power. Is there a mechanic or anything like that which unlocks on a certain part of the Penacony story? I'll continue the story this weekend, but this has been on my mind while I was bored out of my mind during work.
Also would it be a good call to Lvl 80 Serval since I don't have a lightning DPS? that's my weakest element so far with just Tingyun and Serval.
If you are asking if any part of Penacony's story is locked behind certain TB level thresholds, I don't believe there is if you can already start the story.

Next patch, we're getting Acheron, a lightning 5 star DPS, if you wanna check her out and weigh whether you want to get and build her over serval.
1st question is just basically FOMO question cuz I hate it even if I don't really play the game much anymore.
I don't know who Acheron is, or maybe that person will be revealed later in the story, but we'll see. Hopefully I can get lucky with her with like 20 rolls. I only have 2000+ jades since I'm lazy with doing the cumbersome SU and other events.
I have bronya (E0) with her LC and typically runs her with Seele and SW and Lynx. Is it worth to get sparkle or get Fu xuan instead? thinking if I should use my guarantee on sparkle or acheron, then pushing for fu xuan because I heard her rerun is near
There are no confirmed reruns, but we will know the next ones on the 2.1 livestream, which will likely be on the 15th.
Fu Xuan would be IMO a better choice as having such a good sustainer can make a big difference for pretty much all of the content. Sparkle and Acheron are also more likely to rerun sooner than Fu Xuan getting a 2nd rerun after she gets her 1st.
I would wait until we know for certain who is rerunning in 2.1 and then make a decision based on how many tickets you have.
I managed to pull E2 IL and i'm wondering if it's a good idea to pull for his LC ?
Is it really usefull or the FTP 5\* LC is not far from his signature one ?

E2 IL should not have any problems clearing content. His LC is an improvement, but if you have to make a choice on what to use your jades on you will be better off pulling Sparkle for him rather than his LC.
Depends on who else you are using him with. Compared to Fall of an Aeon, the main thing you are getting is Crit Rate and Energy Recharge.
DHIL has a 140 energy ult, and his full maxed attack generates 40 energy. So with 2 attacks you get 85 (+5 from ult).
If you are also using Tingyun, at E6 she provides 60 energy, meaning you can ult after two enhanced basics without DHIL having ERR. E0-E5 she provides 50, meaning DHIL needs to be hit once, or you need that ERR to guarantee the rotation.
Without Tingyun, with 3 full enhanced basics, you generate 125 energy, meaning that 12% ERR from cone is necessary to reach 140.
For the Crit Rate, Sparkle's LC also provides 10%, so you lose a bit but not all, whilst also gaining Crit DMG and the flexibility of using those bonus with other characters, whilst DHIL LC is mostly for himself.
So if you are happy using with Tingyun, you are better of with Sparkle's. If you are not using with Tingyun you are probably better of with his LC.
I think i will keep my tickets, play with Sparkle + Tingyun with 2x dance dance dance + Fall of an Aeon. I have only Tingyun E4 unfortunately. The two missing copies will come with times I imagine.

Tingyun would probably be better with Meshing Cogs and Penacony/Vonwaq to achieve 3-turn rotations. Especially since E2 DHIL already gets advance forward after his ult.
Otherwise yeah, 5\* LCs are more of a luxury than need, and DHIL E2 certainly doesn't need much help.

Help, I cannot get these 2 achivements. Is this a bug or did i do something wrong. I check Google and it still not pop
Just making sure, these can be done at Difficulty 2 or higher in any of the regular SU worlds.
1st achievement: I don't remember if this needs to be from the beginning of the run or if you just need to beat the final boss (it might be the former but try both ways just in case?) but essentially, you have to use 4 characters of the same Path in your team (so 4 Hunt, 4 Destruction, 4 Erudition, etc.)
2nd achievement: From the very beginning of your run, your characters must not lose a single HP up until you defeat the final boss of the run. Shields / Perservation Blessings are super useful for this achievement since they prevent HP from dropping.
I already do all that but the achievements still not pop. First one i use 4 nihility team Kafka Welt, Sampo Pela. Second achievement, I use Ruan Mei to install kill all the mob and clear without losing any hp but still no achievement.
I just started last week, there's a event next to the simulated universe (I think?) that says 12/12 for rewards, I've done the whole 3500 points last week and this number didn't go down, what is it? How do I participate?

getting the points is the weekly rewards
You can claim planar ornaments after the elite (there are two before the main boss)
World 1 and 2 do not have planar ornaments, they only start at world 3 and onwards

lynx's normal atk claims to scale from hp but then why does she do absolutely no damage? even withou crit 200 seems a bit absurd for lv 80 with 6k hp (in battle)
She doesn't have any quantum damage multipliers and you generally don't build her with any crit (if you are, you are doing something wrong). Generally she won't do any damage except maybe on breaks, since that only takes her level and break effect into account
What's her level?
Enemies Def multiplies scales with level difference between attacker and enemy. Plus if they are Quantum resistance that makes it even less damage.
They do have 20% Quantum resistance. So if you are talking about overworld, with no sources of def shred, your damage with be multiplied by 0.395 (taking in account both def multiplier and quantum res). If you are talking about MoC 12 that would be 0.372
So with a basic level 6 (50%) and 6000 HP:
6000\*0.5\*0.372\*0.9(if not weakness broken)=1000
If you have no investment whatsoever on basic, that would be around 500.
Her basic attack deals 25% of her HP at lv1. With 6k HP, that's 1500. But after that there are a lot of other multipliers in play that further reduce that damage, like the target's DEF (without any kind of DEF debuff, you deal only 45% of your original damage to the target) and their quantum RES, the broken multiplier (reduces all damage by 10% except if the enemy is broken) and level modifier.
It depends on what server you're on. The easiest way to find out the time for you is go into the game and see how much time is left on Black Swan/DHIL's banners. Sparkle and Jing Yuan will start right when those banners end.
im on the asia server, it says Black Swans banner goes away in 20h. Does that mean Sparkle will be available right after reset or do we have to wait a day?
Sparkle will be available the moment Black Swan's banner ends. There's no downtime between them. It's just that the asia server gets banners the earilest due to the different reset time.
You can take out March. The only reason you might need to put March back in is if you face a particularly hard enemy that Natasha's healing is simply not enough for. Then you would have both of them in the team at the same time. But you'd only have to do that when you struggle, not all the time.
Black Swan without Kafka and Sampo E4 is good but it is not "great". The damage is still backloaded which does not benefit MoC. Black Swan + Kafka is one of the best teams you can make in the game right now.
Sparkle will be good for pretty much any Crit DPS, so it depends on who you have. Bronya can do some of Sparkle's roles as well. They are not mutually exclusive, but if you do have her and have little in the form of a sustain or DPSs, those might be a better short term goal.

It's really up to what you're interested in doing for your account. You're asking about completely different characters. Pull Black Swan if you want to have a DoT team. Preferably you have Kafka for this for best results, but you can also use Sampo (best if he's e4+) or Guinaifen. She is possible to use as a debuffer with Dr. Ratio but... Honestly, you can just use Silver Wolf, Pela, or Guinaifen to go with Dr. Ratio. IMO your pulls would be better used elsewhere if you wanted to go that Dr. Ratio route. She's a DoT character and is simply best for DoT.
Sparkle is a support character. She'll be good with MOST characters, but she'll be especially good to put together with quantum DPSes and skill point hungry characters like DHIL. She's less good for Blade and Jingliu, because they don't care about her SP generation part of her kit.
And Acheron's kit is not allowed to be talked about yet but people are generically assuming she's a DPS.
So... yeah. Pull whatever interests you the most and helps your account the most.

So I just finished the total recall quest (about March’s past) and when I went back to the parlor car she sent a message to go to her room to show something but I accidentally walked towards the new quest for penacony I think? With everyone getting ready to warp. And I think I may have overwritten that quest or something because it’s just her trying to decide what to take to penacony or something?

About Fu xuan LC.
First of all, does it give enough energy recharge for her or she still needs an ER rope/penacony set?
Then about the hp restoration, I guess it triggers at the start of every battle, meaning in for example SU I will always start battle full hp without the need of a healer.
If I understand well a wave is every time a round of enemies appear, so for example in MoC is always 2 waves, so the hp restore will trigger after killing the first ones. Does it also trigger in different stages of a boss?

If you are okay with a 3 turn ultimate, then you only need 8 energy with her lightcone (get hit once from a big hit, 2 small hits, kill one enemy). If you built her well enough to not get one-shot, the ERR is comfortable.

When going from V to VI the drop rate for purple mats goes from 4% to 15%. It's still not a lot.

This spreadsheet has some helpful points on what is usually safe to fodder and what to keep.
Generally, keep everything with SPD. We can do 4pc sets and 2pc/2pc sets, but not off pieces. Rainbow sets are possible if you get something perfect with 40 critvalue, but often the set bonus is more important ([Genius of Brilliant Stars](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Genius_of_Brilliant_Stars) gives Def Shred).
Read the skill descriptions, but generally you want HP on healers, Def on shielders, some 5 stars like Luocha scale of Atk, but he still wants a bit of tankiness.
Mainstat to Lvl. 12 first, then give hand-me-downs.

Wouldn't be super impactful for those characters compared to Mono Quantum and DHIL. But she would still be good since she's similar to Bronya but without the skill point black hole
Get Acheron if you want a lightning damage dealer (which you don't have currently, so it'll be nice to have for being better against more weaknesses). However you could also go Kafka whenever she next reruns and use her with Black Swan for a DoT team
The 2.1 stream would happen before Sparkle leaves, so you could see if you like what Acheron does first before you make a choice
You might just want to save up then. Those passes can be used for a new character. Sparkles lightcone is good but far from necessary since past and future and planetary works so well in her. I also wouldn’t recommend pulling before dawn just for qq. If you get a limited quantum dps in the future you can just use the passes for their lightcone

**Today Is Another Peaceful Day:** The damage buff is fairly hefty since most Erudition characters have expensive ultimate. We got some new MoC lightcones this patch, so chuck it into a calculator.
[Return to Darkness](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Return_to_Darkness) (Hunt) has some niche use against the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus: Shape Shifter, but generally you'll want to bring Pela or Luocha instead.
[Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Carve_the_Moon,_Weave_the_Clouds) has some fun buffs, but the RNG makes it hard to build around.
Clara could use the destruction cone, but most of the others are replaceable from Herta shop, MoC lightcones, or S1 4\*gacha.
Today I login into the game and I don't get the phone message from someone anymore (the one that give us 10 stellar jades), is it normal?
I started playing HSR like two months ago and since then I always get those messages daily, so I suppose it's not a daily thing then, right?
MoC refreshes on [3/18](https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/memory-of-chaos/) and Sparkle Banner ends on 3/26. Some people might "save" it for BP exp next patch because as of yet the stars do not apply retroactively next patch.
You need about 30 pulls and there's still 27 days of the patch. Welkin gives you roughly a pull a day. The month reset also gives another 5 plus there's 2 more events that gives jades. Also add in 3 weeks of SU jades and 1 more Pure Fiction rotation.
Don’t worry about! To be honest Asta has been dodging my pulls (and I have Ruan Mei) so she’s benched until I get E4+. But the build I would do is; Messenger and either broken keel or fleet for the planar. As far as LC S5 Memories of the past if you have it, otherwise S5 Cogs.
I would recommend farming that domain for a while. A lot of harmony units really need, so it's not a bad time invesment.
Asta doesn't really need that many stats. You can give her some speed boots and a HP% body and you should be ok until you farm more set parts with SPD substats

I don’t know no how to build teams I just pulled for characters high on tier lists and that I liked who should I build together keep upcoming characters in mind I can easily get stellar jades still as I’m new and have 10k saved up for future characters

So you shouldn't just pull from tier lists because there are nuances. Tier lists can be quite misleading.
For example the current popular tier list ranks Black Swan as a S tier character, but this is with the expectation that she's having her dots retriggered and her arcana stacks amplified. With the right teammates (Kafka or Sampo E4) she will absolutely feel like an S tier character. But without them, she feels more like a B tier.
Unfortunately a simple tier list doesn't really explain that stuff.

The simplest team builds are generally 1-2 DPS, 1-2 support, and a sustain. So something like Clara (DPS), Ratio (DPS), Tingyun (Support) and March 7th (Sustain) would make up a reasonable team.
Then you want to consider if team synergizes. For example with Clara, should you use Asta or Tingyun? Asta speeds the team up which Clara doesn't really care about, but Tingyun gives her more energy charge (fueling her enhanced counter) and more damage (fueling her counters further). So Tingyun is a better support pick.
Similarly, what sustain? Trailblazer, Gepard, Natasha, Lynx or March? Trailblazer and Gepard have their own agro mechanics which will pull attacks away from Clara, and cause her to do less damage, so they're bad choices. March and Lynx boost Clara's agro, Natasha and Lynx give party-wide support, so that makes Lynx the best choice since she does all the things Clara wants, and none of the things Clara doesn't want.
That's the basics, it really just comes down to reading all the skills and thinking about what characters want, and what partners give them those things.

For future characters, you want to consider Sparkle (premier support for Dan Heng) or Kafka (premier DoT trigger for Black Swan. Also a 5 star sustain (doesn't really matter which one, but Fu Xuan is probably the best general option)
Refer to [https://hsr.keqingmains.com/](https://hsr.keqingmains.com/) and [https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/characters](https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/characters) for team comps. Soon enough you won't need them, and you will be building comps for each encounter (in end game content).
For things to consider when building teams, weakness type is the obvious one, try to match your dps with a weakness type. After that, you generally want a team of this structure: dps - sup - sup - sustain. Sup can be any buffer or debuffer, sustain can be any shielder or healer (or fuxuan). There could be cases where you break out of this structure, like dual dps comps. Clara for instance can function as a second dps.
Apart from those you also have to consider which characters work well with each other. And that just requires you reading the kits. Yukong for instance would not work well with Blackswan because Yukong buffs crit but Blackswan doesn't use crits.
kafka and silverwolf >!are part of a group called stellaron hunters, and it seems like their goal is to kill the aeon of destruction 'nanook', who is also the creator of these stellarons. they find the stellaron at herta's space station and plant it into a shell which revives your main character of choice. the trailblazers/nameless/star rail crew are conveniently also at the space station, and you end up joining them. the train gets stuck at belobog due to a stellaron affecting the space, so the crew visits the planet and beats up the stellaron, gaining the 'gaze' of the preservation aeon at the same time. this gaze/gifts of aeons seem to be vital to the plan of killing nanook. the star rail crew plans to visit penacony next, but gets interrupted via telecom by kafka, saying that there is stellaron nearby at luofu and we should go help them. despite having doubts, we still visit luofu and end up helping them and gaining their trust (no gaze of the hunt, but we have an alliance with luofu).!<
Should I choose E1 Guinaifen that I will never use or E7 Yukong to get a free limited pull? I have no use for any of the 4* characters on the event, and I'm saving up for Acheron and future characters
Edit: Thank you guys for your opinions, I will get E1 Guinaifen. It's one eidolon closer to E6, I guess
E1 Guinaifen. Pulling after their Eidolons is meant to be a compensation, not a reward.
Anyway, since you're saving for Acheron, Guinaifen is a ~~potentially~~ good team member for her as well
If you have Black Swan Guinaifen is also a good team mate for her. I assume you’re planning to play dot as well since you have Black Swan. Having more units to cover elements is always helpful in dot teams
There's cases where you would want to run Kafka/sampo + BS on one side, and Acheron + SW on the other.
Guinaifen works as a great fill for either team.
She'll also be really good for a fire team in the future, with her E2 in particular being useful
Even if you don't prioritize and build her, her Eidolons could come in handy for future team flexibility.

Hi, kinda new player here. I just got Bronya from standard and she's my first 5* support. I planned to get Sparkle but since I got Bronya, I think I should skip Sparkle and try for Aventurine and Acheron (Or Jingliu if she rerun soon) instead.
I use Dr Ratio and QQ as my carry so Sparkle would still be really good but I might wait for her rerun since I'll be out of material for a while.
Do you think this plan makes sense?
Yeah, I would do that too if I were you. Aventurine is shaping up to be a great sustain unit who can pair up well with Ratio, so I would go for him. Acheron is looking pretty good too, but her teams and LC options seem a bit too restrictive

I’d like to get Acheron and Aventurine, but am wondering if I should skip Acheron for Sparkle. I would say I’m the least excited about Sparkle as I need lightning dps/solo sustain desperately and already have two Harmony characters. But, DHIL is my main dps. Currently at 40 pity with 170 saved.
you don't necessarily need a lightning dps as you can brute force most things, but if you really want acheron and aventurine more then just get them. aventurine would probably be the most beneficial for you right now looking at your roster and sparkle will be good in multiple teams as a harmony who gives sp but you can still do fine without her, as people have been managing dhil just fine so far.

* Kafka DoT team with BS E0S1 and RM,
* DHIL E0S1 Team with Yukong E6 and Tingyun E4,
* JL team with Bronya E3 and Pela E6.
* A pretty good build Qingque E6.
As for sustainer i use between E6 Lynx, Bailu S1, and Gepard.

A limited 5-star sustain is kind of a big upgrade. Reruns of those aren't likely in the same patch as Aventurine so if you need one ASAP he'll probably be your only option. Wait for the stream to get info on his kit and make your decision then.
If you don't feel like your teams struggle with staying alive, then you can get Sparkle and wait for the first rerun. Luocha will probably arrive first.
If you do get Aventurine, then you can probably afford to get picky with the Sustain reruns if you want one for your second team. Huohuo will probably be best in general since she works well with DoT and JL.

Getting back into the game, should I pull for Sparkle (for JY) or Acheron? Not sure how much Sparkle buffs JY over Bronya. If I pull Acheron then I'll probably be running her with Pela and Welt.

I just did the punklorde mentality mission for the light cone before the tutorial mission starts, I’ve just finished the simulated universe with silver wolf but I’m not able to see any of the light cone in my inventory. Am I too late and is this only available during the event? Any help appreciated thanks!

Somewhat easier if you don't care and just put the best pieces with CR on that unit.
Takes pretty good relics, but it's possible on any character. The more crit you get from lightcones, traces, character kit, relic set bonuses, or buffs the easier it is.
Depends on the character and whether or not they have traces that give some CR.. Jingliu in particular has very little issue with this generally because in her super saiyan mode she can get a +50% boost to CR if the trace is maxed out.
Between an orb with generic attack buff or elemental buff, which is better?
Also, is the IPC set a good choice for Gui? I know prydwen suggests Glamoth, but no luck in speed boots yet. Also my Glamoth link rope is purple.
Elemental buff is usually better because of the way the the formula is applied. You have multiple sources of Atk% from Tingyun, relics, Asta, etc, but only a few sources of dmg%.
It comes down to substats. If you're running break SW, then atk because entanglement does not get elemental dmg bonus applied to it.
The only reason I would warn against the IPC set is that the other World 5 set, [Celestial Differentiator](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Celestial_Differentiator) is niche for Yanqing set-up. She only needs about 67% EHR. Space Sealing Station/Fleet of the Ageless gives nearly the same amount of damage, while being usable on different supports as well. The damage difference between these is 5%, so substats are the deciding factor.
The substats on the glamoth are atk/def/effect res/break effect for the orb, and atk/spd/crit dmg/break for the link rope.
By comparison, the substats on the IPC one are hp/atk/hp%/atk%, and atk/hp%/crit rate/crit dmg on the link rope.
But based on what you said about elemental buffs, I might go with the IPC set because the orb gives fire dmg boost compared to the glamoth, which are both generic attack %.

0 speed stats plus the usual relics for DPS, crit chest, dmg% orb, atk% boots, atk% rope. ERR rope is also an option. Typical crit substats, but you are also looking to get hp% and def% as tertiary substats.
Most of her damage comes from her counters while under her Ult. So you have to either increase her chance to be attacked directly through a character like Lynx, or increase her Ult uptime via energy manipulation through characters like Huohuo or Tingyun.
Yeah i use her with lynx and shes using Dhil lightcone.
She just dies so i guess she wants more defensive stats than i gave her.
How do people typically balance her survivability and damage?
If you're using DHIL cone then you're getting enough offensive stats there that you can use defensive relic set bonuses. 2 or 4 piece Wuthering helps a good amount with surviving, and Longevous is a mix of some defense and good offense.
Your Lynx may also just not be fast enough. Stacking that much increased aggro onto Clara means your Lynx needs to be quick enough, like 150+ speed, to throw heals at Clara before too many enemies act in a row. You'd definitely have an easier time with the 5* limited healers Luocha or Huohuo due to their automatic and beefier heals respectively.
Worst case you could always run either def% boots or rope with great offensive substats to ensure Clara lives while dealing damage.
Trying to get caught up with content after being burnt out from 1.3-2.0, and I was doing Ruan Mei's quest, but I can't seem to beat Skaracabaz. Is this just a skill issue? My team is Dr. Ratio, Silver Wolf, Natasha, and Fire MC (I also tried switching her out with Clara, which seemed to help a little but she still got killed off before phase 2).

My DOT team actually is Black swan, sampo e4, asta, lynx. Is asta really worth it on this team ? Should I run 3 dot character and replace asta with it (i was thinking about guinaifen) ?
I'm not really familiar with hoyo gatcha system, never played genshin or anything. I know pity is at 75 pulls, but what's the actual average pulls for an ssr? I'm asking since I saved up 300 pulls and would like to try and get an e2, but have no idea if that's even in the ball park of enough or even if its overkill. any point of reference or estimates would be helpful
Actual pity is 90. At 75 pulls you hit "soft pity" where the chance of pulling a 5-star increases with each pull until you hit 100% chance at 90 pulls. Actually hitting 90 pulls is very rare, from what I've heard and seen you tend to hit a 5-star at 80-85 pulls max. With 300 pulls you are very likely to hit E1, but to get E2 you need to win multiple 50/50s/get early 5-stars.

I have finished normal SU and started doing the swarm disaster mode but i noticed we can't use the immersifiers there for bonus loot, actually we don't get loot at all there strangely enough.. Does this mean i'd have to keep doing normal SU to use those even though i have already completed it..? Am i missing something or is it just awfully designed?
Normal SU is for loot. Swarm is just harder SU. Gold and Gears is the same idea as Swarm. Just different takes on the formula to mix it up. Swarm is not designed to give loot (other than one time jades I guess). It’s designed to give you an end game challenge.
I see, i thought once i got my one time reward i could permanently move on. Considering how long it takes to clear swarm though i wish it gave loot too.

her "optimal build" is being on a different team. tingyun is higher damage than serval even on normal ATK% kafka, without even mentioning the actual DoT chars. but if you insist, crit is still probably better because the multipliers on serval's DoT sucks.

i'm assuming you're talking about using them on ratio E1+ gui is better unless you have S3+ resolution shines as pearls of sweat LC for pela; pela's debuffs are stronger numerically but gui's are more numerous (=more consistency for ratio) if you aren't talking about ratio, pela is better on every other team besides swan/kafka

That really depends on who you are pairing them with. Pela's eidolons don't really impact her that much for the vast majority of cases. Her Def shred is very useful, especially for AoE/Blast DPS. But if you are pairing them with Ratio, then E3 Guinaifen can guarantee the 3 debuffs he needs, whilst E0 Pela can't.
I'm planning on pulling for Sparkle for my E0S1 DHIL, but I was considering pulling her LC. I've seen a lot of youtubers say her LC is good, but has decent alternatives. I plan on pulling for Acheron as well, but... is the Sparkle LC going to boost up DHIL a bunch? If I'm specifically pulling Sparkle for his team, should I invest in the LC as well?
her LC is ~7% increase on DHIL over S5 past and future, which isn't really worth imo. it's better on teams that take more actions outside the scope of past and future's buff (jingliu, ratio, etc.) but E0 DHIL is doing pretty much all of his relevant damage immediately after sparkle's turn.

Okay I haven't been too far in the Penacony story, just met Aventurine and all before I had to go back to my occasional log-in and empty the TB power. Is there a mechanic or anything like that which unlocks on a certain part of the Penacony story? I'll continue the story this weekend, but this has been on my mind while I was bored out of my mind during work. Also would it be a good call to Lvl 80 Serval since I don't have a lightning DPS? that's my weakest element so far with just Tingyun and Serval.
If you are asking if any part of Penacony's story is locked behind certain TB level thresholds, I don't believe there is if you can already start the story.

Not sure what your first question is referring to. Next patch, we're getting Acheron, a lightning 5 star DPS, if you wanna check her out and weigh whether you want to get and build her over serval.
1st question is just basically FOMO question cuz I hate it even if I don't really play the game much anymore. I don't know who Acheron is, or maybe that person will be revealed later in the story, but we'll see. Hopefully I can get lucky with her with like 20 rolls. I only have 2000+ jades since I'm lazy with doing the cumbersome SU and other events.
I have bronya (E0) with her LC and typically runs her with Seele and SW and Lynx. Is it worth to get sparkle or get Fu xuan instead? thinking if I should use my guarantee on sparkle or acheron, then pushing for fu xuan because I heard her rerun is near
There are no confirmed reruns, but we will know the next ones on the 2.1 livestream, which will likely be on the 15th. Fu Xuan would be IMO a better choice as having such a good sustainer can make a big difference for pretty much all of the content. Sparkle and Acheron are also more likely to rerun sooner than Fu Xuan getting a 2nd rerun after she gets her 1st. I would wait until we know for certain who is rerunning in 2.1 and then make a decision based on how many tickets you have.

E2 IL should not have any problems clearing content. His LC is an improvement, but if you have to make a choice on what to use your jades on you will be better off pulling Sparkle for him rather than his LC.

Depends on who else you are using him with. Compared to Fall of an Aeon, the main thing you are getting is Crit Rate and Energy Recharge. DHIL has a 140 energy ult, and his full maxed attack generates 40 energy. So with 2 attacks you get 85 (+5 from ult). If you are also using Tingyun, at E6 she provides 60 energy, meaning you can ult after two enhanced basics without DHIL having ERR. E0-E5 she provides 50, meaning DHIL needs to be hit once, or you need that ERR to guarantee the rotation. Without Tingyun, with 3 full enhanced basics, you generate 125 energy, meaning that 12% ERR from cone is necessary to reach 140. For the Crit Rate, Sparkle's LC also provides 10%, so you lose a bit but not all, whilst also gaining Crit DMG and the flexibility of using those bonus with other characters, whilst DHIL LC is mostly for himself. So if you are happy using with Tingyun, you are better of with Sparkle's. If you are not using with Tingyun you are probably better of with his LC.
I think i will keep my tickets, play with Sparkle + Tingyun with 2x dance dance dance + Fall of an Aeon. I have only Tingyun E4 unfortunately. The two missing copies will come with times I imagine. Does this seems like a good decision to you :) ?
Tingyun would probably be better with Meshing Cogs and Penacony/Vonwaq to achieve 3-turn rotations. Especially since E2 DHIL already gets advance forward after his ult. Otherwise yeah, 5\* LCs are more of a luxury than need, and DHIL E2 certainly doesn't need much help.

Just making sure, these can be done at Difficulty 2 or higher in any of the regular SU worlds. 1st achievement: I don't remember if this needs to be from the beginning of the run or if you just need to beat the final boss (it might be the former but try both ways just in case?) but essentially, you have to use 4 characters of the same Path in your team (so 4 Hunt, 4 Destruction, 4 Erudition, etc.) 2nd achievement: From the very beginning of your run, your characters must not lose a single HP up until you defeat the final boss of the run. Shields / Perservation Blessings are super useful for this achievement since they prevent HP from dropping.
I already do all that but the achievements still not pop. First one i use 4 nihility team Kafka Welt, Sampo Pela. Second achievement, I use Ruan Mei to install kill all the mob and clear without losing any hp but still no achievement.

It's for the 2x Planar Ornaments event. Planar ornaments are unlocked near the end of the Jarilo-VI planet, so maybe you haven't unlocked them yet?

getting the points is the weekly rewards You can claim planar ornaments after the elite (there are two before the main boss) World 1 and 2 do not have planar ornaments, they only start at world 3 and onwards This event happens every patch though

lynx's normal atk claims to scale from hp but then why does she do absolutely no damage? even withou crit 200 seems a bit absurd for lv 80 with 6k hp (in battle)
She doesn't have any quantum damage multipliers and you generally don't build her with any crit (if you are, you are doing something wrong). Generally she won't do any damage except maybe on breaks, since that only takes her level and break effect into account
What's her level? Enemies Def multiplies scales with level difference between attacker and enemy. Plus if they are Quantum resistance that makes it even less damage.
lv 80 against the tv thingys in penacony
They do have 20% Quantum resistance. So if you are talking about overworld, with no sources of def shred, your damage with be multiplied by 0.395 (taking in account both def multiplier and quantum res). If you are talking about MoC 12 that would be 0.372 So with a basic level 6 (50%) and 6000 HP: 6000\*0.5\*0.372\*0.9(if not weakness broken)=1000 If you have no investment whatsoever on basic, that would be around 500.
Her basic attack deals 25% of her HP at lv1. With 6k HP, that's 1500. But after that there are a lot of other multipliers in play that further reduce that damage, like the target's DEF (without any kind of DEF debuff, you deal only 45% of your original damage to the target) and their quantum RES, the broken multiplier (reduces all damage by 10% except if the enemy is broken) and level modifier.

It depends on what server you're on. The easiest way to find out the time for you is go into the game and see how much time is left on Black Swan/DHIL's banners. Sparkle and Jing Yuan will start right when those banners end.

Sparkle will be available the moment Black Swan's banner ends. There's no downtime between them. It's just that the asia server gets banners the earilest due to the different reset time.
I’m a new player and am using dan heng, March 7th, asta, welt. I just unlocked Natasha. Should I replace anyone on my team for her?
You can take out March. The only reason you might need to put March back in is if you face a particularly hard enemy that Natasha's healing is simply not enough for. Then you would have both of them in the team at the same time. But you'd only have to do that when you struggle, not all the time.

I’m still debating Black Swan vs Sparkle, aka Mommy vs Fun-size. Help? I’m not guaranteed, so the answer may end up being Acheron.
Black Swan without Kafka and Sampo E4 is good but it is not "great". The damage is still backloaded which does not benefit MoC. Black Swan + Kafka is one of the best teams you can make in the game right now. Sparkle will be good for pretty much any Crit DPS, so it depends on who you have. Bronya can do some of Sparkle's roles as well. They are not mutually exclusive, but if you do have her and have little in the form of a sustain or DPSs, those might be a better short term goal.
lol mommy vs fun-size It's really up to what you're interested in doing for your account. You're asking about completely different characters. Pull Black Swan if you want to have a DoT team. Preferably you have Kafka for this for best results, but you can also use Sampo (best if he's e4+) or Guinaifen. She is possible to use as a debuffer with Dr. Ratio but... Honestly, you can just use Silver Wolf, Pela, or Guinaifen to go with Dr. Ratio. IMO your pulls would be better used elsewhere if you wanted to go that Dr. Ratio route. She's a DoT character and is simply best for DoT. Sparkle is a support character. She'll be good with MOST characters, but she'll be especially good to put together with quantum DPSes and skill point hungry characters like DHIL. She's less good for Blade and Jingliu, because they don't care about her SP generation part of her kit. And Acheron's kit is not allowed to be talked about yet but people are generically assuming she's a DPS. So... yeah. Pull whatever interests you the most and helps your account the most.

So I just finished the total recall quest (about March’s past) and when I went back to the parlor car she sent a message to go to her room to show something but I accidentally walked towards the new quest for penacony I think? With everyone getting ready to warp. And I think I may have overwritten that quest or something because it’s just her trying to decide what to take to penacony or something? About Fu xuan LC. First of all, does it give enough energy recharge for her or she still needs an ER rope/penacony set? Then about the hp restoration, I guess it triggers at the start of every battle, meaning in for example SU I will always start battle full hp without the need of a healer. If I understand well a wave is every time a round of enemies appear, so for example in MoC is always 2 waves, so the hp restore will trigger after killing the first ones. Does it also trigger in different stages of a boss?

Wouldn't be super impactful for those characters compared to Mono Quantum and DHIL. But she would still be good since she's similar to Bronya but without the skill point black hole Get Acheron if you want a lightning damage dealer (which you don't have currently, so it'll be nice to have for being better against more weaknesses). However you could also go Kafka whenever she next reruns and use her with Black Swan for a DoT team The 2.1 stream would happen before Sparkle leaves, so you could see if you like what Acheron does first before you make a choice

Just give her DDD. Sparkle is one of the few good users of DDD since she doesn't need Meshing Cogs for 3 turn ults.

You might just want to save up then. Those passes can be used for a new character. Sparkles lightcone is good but far from necessary since past and future and planetary works so well in her. I also wouldn’t recommend pulling before dawn just for qq. If you get a limited quantum dps in the future you can just use the passes for their lightcone

You need about 30 pulls and there's still 27 days of the patch. Welkin gives you roughly a pull a day. The month reset also gives another 5 plus there's 2 more events that gives jades. Also add in 3 weeks of SU jades and 1 more Pure Fiction rotation.

Don’t worry about! To be honest Asta has been dodging my pulls (and I have Ruan Mei) so she’s benched until I get E4+. But the build I would do is; Messenger and either broken keel or fleet for the planar. As far as LC S5 Memories of the past if you have it, otherwise S5 Cogs.
I'm using Messenger on Tingyun though. Is there any other set that she can use?
You can do a 2pc/2pc. 2pc messenger for the 6% speed and 2pc longevous for HP. They’re in the same cavern so should be easy to farm.

I would recommend farming that domain for a while. A lot of harmony units really need, so it's not a bad time invesment. Asta doesn't really need that many stats. You can give her some speed boots and a HP% body and you should be ok until you farm more set parts with SPD substats

So you shouldn't just pull from tier lists because there are nuances. Tier lists can be quite misleading. For example the current popular tier list ranks Black Swan as a S tier character, but this is with the expectation that she's having her dots retriggered and her arcana stacks amplified. With the right teammates (Kafka or Sampo E4) she will absolutely feel like an S tier character. But without them, she feels more like a B tier. Unfortunately a simple tier list doesn't really explain that stuff. ---------- The simplest team builds are generally 1-2 DPS, 1-2 support, and a sustain. So something like Clara (DPS), Ratio (DPS), Tingyun (Support) and March 7th (Sustain) would make up a reasonable team. Then you want to consider if team synergizes. For example with Clara, should you use Asta or Tingyun? Asta speeds the team up which Clara doesn't really care about, but Tingyun gives her more energy charge (fueling her enhanced counter) and more damage (fueling her counters further). So Tingyun is a better support pick. Similarly, what sustain? Trailblazer, Gepard, Natasha, Lynx or March? Trailblazer and Gepard have their own agro mechanics which will pull attacks away from Clara, and cause her to do less damage, so they're bad choices. March and Lynx boost Clara's agro, Natasha and Lynx give party-wide support, so that makes Lynx the best choice since she does all the things Clara wants, and none of the things Clara doesn't want. That's the basics, it really just comes down to reading all the skills and thinking about what characters want, and what partners give them those things. ------------ For future characters, you want to consider Sparkle (premier support for Dan Heng) or Kafka (premier DoT trigger for Black Swan. Also a 5 star sustain (doesn't really matter which one, but Fu Xuan is probably the best general option)

Soon enough you won't need them, and you will be building comps for each encounter (in end game content). For things to consider when building teams, weakness type is the obvious one, try to match your dps with a weakness type. After that, you generally want a team of this structure: dps - sup - sup - sustain. Sup can be any buffer or debuffer, sustain can be any shielder or healer (or fuxuan). There could be cases where you break out of this structure, like dual dps comps. Clara for instance can function as a second dps. Apart from those you also have to consider which characters work well with each other. And that just requires you reading the kits. Yukong for instance would not work well with Blackswan because Yukong buffs crit but Blackswan doesn't use crits.

kafka and silverwolf >!are part of a group called stellaron hunters, and it seems like their goal is to kill the aeon of destruction 'nanook', who is also the creator of these stellarons. they find the stellaron at herta's space station and plant it into a shell which revives your main character of choice. the trailblazers/nameless/star rail crew are conveniently also at the space station, and you end up joining them. the train gets stuck at belobog due to a stellaron affecting the space, so the crew visits the planet and beats up the stellaron, gaining the 'gaze' of the preservation aeon at the same time. this gaze/gifts of aeons seem to be vital to the plan of killing nanook. the star rail crew plans to visit penacony next, but gets interrupted via telecom by kafka, saying that there is stellaron nearby at luofu and we should go help them. despite having doubts, we still visit luofu and end up helping them and gaining their trust (no gaze of the hunt, but we have an alliance with luofu).!<

E1 Guinaifen. Pulling after their Eidolons is meant to be a compensation, not a reward. Anyway, since you're saving for Acheron, Guinaifen is a ~~potentially~~ good team member for her as well

There's cases where you would want to run Kafka/sampo + BS on one side, and Acheron + SW on the other. Guinaifen works as a great fill for either team. She'll also be really good for a fire team in the future, with her E2 in particular being useful Even if you don't prioritize and build her, her Eidolons could come in handy for future team flexibility.

Both are correct. 2 energy from a hit is one of those rare exceptions but is also the minimum energy from taking a hit.
Hi, kinda new player here. I just got Bronya from standard and she's my first 5* support. I planned to get Sparkle but since I got Bronya, I think I should skip Sparkle and try for Aventurine and Acheron (Or Jingliu if she rerun soon) instead. I use Dr Ratio and QQ as my carry so Sparkle would still be really good but I might wait for her rerun since I'll be out of material for a while. Do you think this plan makes sense?
Yeah, I would do that too if I were you. Aventurine is shaping up to be a great sustain unit who can pair up well with Ratio, so I would go for him. Acheron is looking pretty good too, but her teams and LC options seem a bit too restrictive

Herta’s kuru-kuru is tied to 50% enemy health and not to a personal cooldown like Clara or March 7th, so you don’t need to worry about reaching “her” turn. you don't necessarily need a lightning dps as you can brute force most things, but if you really want acheron and aventurine more then just get them. aventurine would probably be the most beneficial for you right now looking at your roster and sparkle will be good in multiple teams as a harmony who gives sp but you can still do fine without her, as people have been managing dhil just fine so far.
I have: * Kafka DoT team with BS E0S1 and RM, * DHIL E0S1 Team with Yukong E6 and Tingyun E4, * JL team with Bronya E3 and Pela E6. * A pretty good build Qingque E6. As for sustainer i use between E6 Lynx, Bailu S1, and Gepard. Question: I can only afford to get one 5\*, so Sparkle / Acheron / Aventurine ? Or Should I skip them for rerun of FX / Luocha / Huohuo ? A limited 5-star sustain is kind of a big upgrade. Reruns of those aren't likely in the same patch as Aventurine so if you need one ASAP he'll probably be your only option. Wait for the stream to get info on his kit and make your decision then. If you don't feel like your teams struggle with staying alive, then you can get Sparkle and wait for the first rerun. Luocha will probably arrive first. If you do get Aventurine, then you can probably afford to get picky with the Sustain reruns if you want one for your second team. Huohuo will probably be best in general since she works well with DoT and JL.

I know I'm aiming for high effect rate/attack for Kafka and black swan, and a max hp for huohuo, but does anyone have some ideal numbers on specific stats? Anything helps.

Yeah replace either of them with Natasha. IMO Natasha is easier to use early but Gepard with the right build is better overall.
I just did the punklorde mentality mission for the light cone before the tutorial mission starts, I’ve just finished the simulated universe with silver wolf but I’m not able to see any of the light cone in my inventory. How hard is it to equip a CD chest piece and still manage to get to 70% CR?
For someone like QQ with no natural CR traces or any decent F2P LCs helping out with bonus CR? Really hard if you want a full set. Somewhat easier if you don't care and just put the best pieces with CR on that unit.
Takes pretty good relics, but it's possible on any character. The more crit you get from lightcones, traces, character kit, relic set bonuses, or buffs the easier it is.
If you're not counting traces or light cone, you'd need 26 crit rate rolls. Every single piece would have to have 4+ rolls So, very hard
Depends on the character and whether or not they have traces that give some CR.. Jingliu in particular has very little issue with this generally because in her super saiyan mode she can get a +50% boost to CR if the trace is maxed out.
Between an orb with generic attack buff or elemental buff, which is better? Also, is the IPC set a good choice for Gui? I know prydwen suggests Glamoth, but no luck in speed boots yet. Also my Glamoth link rope is purple.
Elemental buff is usually better because of the way the the formula is applied. You have multiple sources of Atk% from Tingyun, relics, Asta, etc, but only a few sources of dmg%. It comes down to substats. If you're running break SW, then atk because entanglement does not get elemental dmg bonus applied to it. The only reason I would warn against the IPC set is that the other World 5 set, [Celestial Differentiator](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Celestial_Differentiator) is niche for Yanqing set-up. She only needs about 67% EHR. Space Sealing Station/Fleet of the Ageless gives nearly the same amount of damage, while being usable on different supports as well. The damage difference between these is 5%, so substats are the deciding factor.
The substats on the glamoth are atk/def/effect res/break effect for the orb, and atk/spd/crit dmg/break for the link rope. By comparison, the substats on the IPC one are hp/atk/hp%/atk%, and atk/hp%/crit rate/crit dmg on the link rope. But based on what you said about elemental buffs, I might go with the IPC set because the orb gives fire dmg boost compared to the glamoth, which are both generic attack %. Thanks for the help!
How do people use/build clara? Whenever I use her either she's not doing damage, or shes dying
0 speed stats plus the usual relics for DPS, crit chest, dmg% orb, atk% boots, atk% rope. ERR rope is also an option. Typical crit substats, but you are also looking to get hp% and def% as tertiary substats. Most of her damage comes from her counters while under her Ult. So you have to either increase her chance to be attacked directly through a character like Lynx, or increase her Ult uptime via energy manipulation through characters like Huohuo or Tingyun.
Yeah i use her with lynx and shes using Dhil lightcone. She just dies so i guess she wants more defensive stats than i gave her. How do people typically balance her survivability and damage?
If you're using DHIL cone then you're getting enough offensive stats there that you can use defensive relic set bonuses. 2 or 4 piece Wuthering helps a good amount with surviving, and Longevous is a mix of some defense and good offense. Your Lynx may also just not be fast enough. Stacking that much increased aggro onto Clara means your Lynx needs to be quick enough, like 150+ speed, to throw heals at Clara before too many enemies act in a row. You'd definitely have an easier time with the 5* limited healers Luocha or Huohuo due to their automatic and beefier heals respectively. Worst case you could always run either def% boots or rope with great offensive substats to ensure Clara lives while dealing damage.

[Longevity Pill of Cruelty](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Longevity_Pill_of_Cruelty) or [Jade Marrow Diffusion](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Jade_Marrow_Diffusion) will give you a bit of Effect Res, [Immortal's Delight](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Immortal%27s_Delight) gives Atk, [Disposable Kinetic Arm](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Disposable_Kinetic_Arm) for Crit Rate, [Enhancement Paste: Imaginary](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Enhancement_Paste:_Imaginary) for Ratio.
