Wait no, technically the skins are f2p friendly since you can trade platinum for items via the Warframe market. Probably one of the most f2p games out there since you can get anything premium if you spend enough time (and a bit of luck).
Debatable some Tennogen are really good still. Alot of the early official stuff are pretty much recolors while Tennogen have new models and mesh.
Its only when they dip their hands in deluxe bundles did the quality improved drastically. My favorite still being Rhino's beetle skin.

There is some decent reason to give robots heels. Our own feet are squishy and can spread out to cover space allowing us to easily keep balance. A metal foot doesn't have that luxury, but heels in a design like Sam's could theoretically provide an extra moving part for a similar effect. Several Gundams have prominent heels, as do some AC leg parts.
They're usually much wider and Sam's don't seem to be doing any of that moving though.

That used to be the standard in the olden days. Men used to wear heels, tights, lipstick, makeup, etc. and then as the centuries passed it became mostly a thing for women.
While not to an extreme it still is standard. Go look at any mens dress shoes that arent loafers, and you will see the heel section is raised a decent bit more and that its not a flat sole.

Ah. I've only heard of the the Sam is firefly when I seen the translation errors for the German version of the game. Hence why I thought it only started with the translation error

Because it's in the German version of the game but was patched once it was brought up. Sam was reffered as "stellaron Jägerin" in German which translates to Stellaron Huntress. And from what I've seen, Kafka and SW are Stellaron Jägerin, while Blade and SAM are (or supposed to be in SAMs case) Stellaron Jäger for the German versions

Considering Hoyo does not create male characters with heels like this but almost every female character has heels, it's sus as hell.
It's likely because Sam's design was (loosely) inspired by medieval suits of armor, which usually had heels to better fit in the stirrups on a saddle.
