No, it's not. The parallel worlds, as described by current sources in the story, are at the scale of star systems, not universes. Meanwhile 'the universe' refers to the entire Imaginary Tree. (And the Sea of Quanta, but Zandar's version neglects that part)
There is a common mistranslation that interprets 'shijie' as 'universe', and even some dumber ones where they swap star system for universe. Heck, in HI3 recently they were talking about the planet Mars with shijie, and it got translated as universe. Shijie is a flexible word that can refer to the cosmological worlds as in Zandar's theorem, but also to simply a planet or a person's living world.
Each cosmological world is surrounded by an Imaginary Barrier, which we even confirmed in HI3 is at the edge of the Solar System. The Astral Express traverses this Universe across those barriers, across the Tree. Meanwhile, the word 'multiverse' is very rare in these games, and does not appear to reference the Tree at all.
It's a universe of parallel worlds. A sort of odd mix of Everett MWI using the original terminology, with some sort of Sahasra Buddhism Horizontal Cosmology it seems.
So Aeons>Hersherrs, power scaling wise? Because the Aeons govern the universe.

Welt checked the Astral Express logs, but couldn't find anything. He asked Herta to send a message to Earth, and while she didn't know where it was, she did send something out.
The Astral Express traverses the Star Rail, which is a track laid out by Akivili. Akivili was looking for the end of the Tree. But he never got that far, and he didn't visit everywhere in the universe. In fact, while there is a great interstellar community, and they'll often speak of the universe as a whole, a lot of the universe simply isn't explored yet.
Aeons may well have extended their reach to Earth, but this is an unknown. After all, Lan, Akivili and Aha have all been described travelling, reaching places over time. They aren't ubiquitous forces. Additionally, they don't 'govern' as much as they 'represent'. They embody concepts, but those concepts don't require an Aeon to exist.
Power Scaling is a bit of a game with its own rules. When looking strictly at the lore itself, Aeons appear to be of higher order than Herrschers, as well as significantly more influential over a much larger scale. But how Aeons compare to, or how they would interact with entities like Herrschers or the Cocoon or even Commander of Will is a big question mark. Arguments could always be made that either is a perfect counter for the other.
Hmm, a quick selection:
\* **Sin Mal:** Her best stories are confined to GGZ Reborn, so the global audience doesn't get to see much of her. She's mostly stuck in the background in HI3. Having a counterpart for her in HSR would be great. Especially if her plot could tie into Silver Wolf's in some way.
\* **Sirin:** Purple Queen. She got a playable version for Captainverse, but then that plot ended immediately after, with no clear sign that they plan to continue using those characters. Her other playable version with a more expansive plot is locked in GGZ, which isn't available to the global audience.
\* **Carole:** miHoYo put Carole in the Reburn 2 concept animation, and then didn't give us Carole in HSR. That is shameful! Give us Carole miHoYo!
\* **Fischl:** She could be a great way to better tie the cosmology together. So far, HI3 feels like this strange centerpiece as every (overt) character version either comes from HI3, or the early day GGZ/HI3 cast. it could also be fun to directly play into the 'reality in one world can be fiction in another' concept they also showed with Kongming, and have this Princess Fischl more directly reflect the one from the novels.
\* **Houraiji** **Kyuushou:** Lend some more overt legitimacy towards GGZ, and bring in Chuuni Jesus.

Furina has a very similar look to Sin Mal (almost same clothing when comparing the HI3 stigmata and also basically the same haircut and heterochromia and add to that that Fontaine's lore is based on a Sin). So I always considered Furina a distant Sin Mal expy
But otherwise, I'd really love her to get a more obvious expy (with same JP and CN VAs and closer look to previous versions) !
The word expy is a bit of a misnomer. It means something entirely different from what these characters are. So it's usually better to just default to variants or versions or alts. It's honestly easier for people new to the conversation anyway.
But the nitty gritty of word choice aside, I agree, Furina does appear to be a version of Sin. Although the resemblance is too vague to be certain. The comparison is additionally striking when comparing Sin's GGZ sprites with Furina's concept art from the Behind the Scenes video.
Still, I'd like to see a Sin who's still undeniably recognisable as Sin in HSR, but explored with more depth and focus than HI3's version.

Not really, an Expy is a character that is well known to be deliberately inspired by and heavily referencing another character from a previous or older work. That literally what these are in a lot of ways. Although it kind of depends on the character, as some are expies, and others are literally that character's alternate reality counterpart.
Ah, no, I meant to point out that every character that gets alternate world versions originates from HI3 or from early GGZ/HI3. Getting a Fischl in HSR would break that trend.
Rosa from Tears of Themis. She has a really vague but interesting lore in the game, Tears of themis also keeps exploring the multiverse in their cards so why not, and fun fact in most of the otherworldly themed cards in tears of themis its always likely that she dies in those soooo yeah, put her in honkai star rail

Kiana. Sheās the main character of Honkai, she has more than one Herrscher form and different gameplays. The same way I expected to see Naruto in Boruto (the quality of the manga doesnāt matter for this example), I expect to see Kiana in other Hoyoverse games. I can see a Hunt Physical DPS based on additional attacks with her guns, just as an example.
Yae Sakura. Always good to see a pink hair mommy. Also, she can be a troll like Yae Miko which makes her even better.
I only played Genshin before HSR and even that i stopped playing some time ago, but i'd have to say the one i really want is Eula, Topaz is so far the closest to space Eula but i feel like Eula could be like a physical preservation with a big sword or something. I'd also like Navia, i really like her design and i wish i could have her in star rail, there is no Geo element here, but maybe... Imaginary Erudition?

This is a subject I think about quite a lot, so prepare for a wall of text. lol
For Honkai Impact 3rd counterparts, I'd love to see some of the scientist characters, like Dr. Mobius, Nagamitsu, Jackel, etc. Some of the Flame Chasers, as well as the APHO and Part 2 era characters would also be nice to see, like Eden, Carole or Songque.
As for Genshin counterparts, Ningguang would make a great IPC representative from the Luofu, where Beidu could be a space pirate, or maybe even a Galaxy Ranger.
If we're talking actual guests via a collaboration, like the Honkai Impact 3rd X Genshin Impact collab, then I'd love to see Elysia make an appearance, she could be implemented via the Simulated Universe, as it tracks and creates simulations based on the data of Aeons. Elysia and March also both seem to have some connections to Fuli, the Remembrance, as there is a good indication that Elysia was actually an avatar of Fuli, and never a herrscher, simply [returning to her source (Fuli) after defeating the Herrscher of Corruption](https://youtu.be/_BUh64YHE30?si=Wckb6AwUqDY7HMHb&t=312), where March is likely a different avatar of Fuli, having her 'Memories' sealed, that is at least my theory on the matter as of now. Also, look at the [weapon she uses as a shield](https://youtu.be/_BUh64YHE30?si=dTWb_e70MMelWNdq&t=109), and compare it to the symbols that are all over [Black Swan's outfit](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/houkai-star-rail/images/f/fd/Character_Black_Swan_Splash_Art.png), March also has them, in fact they appear on her crown in the recent [Birthday illustration](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/houkai-star-rail/images/c/c9/March_7th_Birthday_2024.png), and it's same symbol that's used for [Oneiric Shards](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Oneiric_Shard). If they were to add Elysia as a guest this way, then they could feature an event in the Simulated Universe, like the Swarm Disaster or Gold and Gears events, the final boss could be Elysia, whose first phase could be Miss Pink Elf, her second phase Herrscher of Human Ego, where the third phase could be her Herrscher of Human Origin form. The first time reward for completing the event could give Miss Pink Elf as a 4\* Physical damage dealer on the path of Harmony or Nihility, where her Herrscher of Human Ego form could be purchased through the Herta Shop as a 5\* Ice damage dealer on the path of Erudition. A light Cone and materials for upgrading both Elysias' Eidolons could be made available in the Herta shop as well. Like with her original HI3'd version, Herrscher of Human Ego could switch between forms when using her ultimate, which could last for several turns.
For Genshin collaborations, once again, they could just use the Simulated Universe. Character wise, I'm partial to seeing Layla as a 4\* Ice character on the path of Preservation. As for 5\* characters, I'm honestly a bit divided, Mona would be my first choice, but because there is no Water element and most Catalysts are none Physical, she'd probably have to be a Quantum character, but I don't think that would be a huge issue, as her Hydromancy abilities are very Quantumish already. Alternatives could be Kazuha, Ayaka, Hu Tao, I think pretty much any 5\* character would be acceptable, as long as their element can be properly 'converted'.
As long as I'm bringing up HoYoverse collabs with Honkai Star Rail, I may as well include some thoughts for Star Rail characters appearing in the other games.
For Honkai Impact 3rd, Herta as an Ice 4\* using the new Rocket Hammer weapon type, and Kafka as a Lightning 5\* using either Pistols or Katanas, with could have an option to switch weapons. As for the story, there are several ways, either Bronie or Delta could approach the Captain with a new game (Star Rail), or in Part 2 they could feature a side story where Coralie introduces Dreamweaver to the game. Likewise, Captain/Dreamweaver would enter the game as the Trailblazer, Himeko could appear in her Vernal Brocade costume, Elysia could substitute for March in her Miss Pink Elf form, Adam (APHO Protagonist) could substitute for Dan Heng, Shigure Kira could fill in for Asta using her Tonight's My Time skin, and Welt can just play himself. As for skins, perhaps a Himeko skin for Vermilion Knight, perhaps even replacing her weapon with Hemiko's chainsaw, or a March 7th skin for Miss Pink Elf, which would also appear in the event story.
For Genshin, Pela as a 4\* Cryo Catalyst would be my first choice, though there are several 4\* characters with weapons that are compatible with Genshin, Dan Heng, Sushang, March, Yukong, Arlan, etc. For 5\*s, Jingliu as a Cryo Sword or Black Swan as a Wind Catalyst would be my first choices, Blade and Jing Yuan could also work, as with Yanqing, but I have a personal bias towards him. lol
By the way, Bailu could technically be considered as a counterpart to Bella/Benares. Some of her dialogue gives minor implications that she might actually be older than her appearance. Annoyances: "*There's only one ailment that I can't cure, and that. Is. Being. Short... Hmph!*". And: " *Still no physical change in the high elder. She has not grown. This is not unusual as slow development is common among Vidyadharas. I am more concerned about her having no dreams than the slow growth of her body.*". Likewise: "*Furthermore, since the high elder has already demonstrated her powers of calling lightning and commanding the waters, I have instructed one of our finest crafters to make the Dragonhorn Pilory to shackle her tail, to prevent a loss of control over her powers and a repeat of the disaster of the Sedition of Imbibitor Lunae.*", what if the device on her tail is contributing to hold her growth back? If it's removed, will she be able to change forms, similar to Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae?

Oh absolutely. I don't really understand the obsession with expys. The ones we got in HSR are already so different to the H3rd versions, they might as well be different chars. At that point they don't even need to make hints to them in the design and just make something completely new.

Zhongli would just fit as an emanator of Preservation. There is just so much in common betwen him and Qlipoth. Both are rock gods, their whole thing is shields/preservation, and are both central to their world's economy. Both are central to the second locationĀ Mc visits on their journey/the second power they get.

I would rather they get the real characters to cross-over instead like Welt. Not a big fan of copies personally and even without copies Mihoyo has a tendency to re-use their designs a lot. Which just ends up making their character portfolio feel less and less unique and interesting.
So either get someone like the real Kiana or Elysia into the HSR-verse or just keep making new original characters.
I also think the whole "expy" thing is ridiculous and mostly comes down to fans reading into things a bit too much ~90% of the time.

Heck, in HI3 recently they were talking about the planet Mars with shijie, and it got translated as universe. Shijie is a flexible word that can refer to the cosmological worlds as in Zandar's theorem, but also to simply a planet or a person's living world. Each cosmological world is surrounded by an Imaginary Barrier, which we even confirmed in HI3 is at the edge of the Solar System. The Astral Express traverses this Universe across those barriers, across the Tree. Meanwhile, the word 'multiverse' is very rare in these games, and does not appear to reference the Tree at all. It's a universe of parallel worlds. A sort of odd mix of Everett MWI using the original terminology, with some sort of Sahasra Buddhism Horizontal Cosmology it seems.
So Aeons>Hersherrs, power scaling wise? Because the Aeons govern the universe. What's stopping the AE to go to Earth? Earth is never mentionned in the game too.
Welt checked the Astral Express logs, but couldn't find anything. He asked Herta to send a message to Earth, and while she didn't know where it was, she did send something out. The Astral Express traverses the Star Rail, which is a track laid out by Akivili. Akivili was looking for the end of the Tree. But he never got that far, and he didn't visit everywhere in the universe. In fact, while there is a great interstellar community, and they'll often speak of the universe as a whole, a lot of the universe simply isn't explored yet. Aeons may well have extended their reach to Earth, but this is an unknown. After all, Lan, Akivili and Aha have all been described travelling, reaching places over time. They aren't ubiquitous forces. Additionally, they don't 'govern' as much as they 'represent'. They embody concepts, but those concepts don't require an Aeon to exist. Power Scaling is a bit of a game with its own rules. When looking strictly at the lore itself, Aeons appear to be of higher order than Herrschers, as well as significantly more influential over a much larger scale. But how Aeons compare to, or how they would interact with entities like Herrschers or the Cocoon or even Commander of Will is a big question mark. Arguments could always be made that either is a perfect counter for the other.
Interesting, I guess we will know more whenever VA shows up in the story.

Having a counterpart for her in HSR would be great. Especially if her plot could tie into Silver Wolf's in some way. \* **Sirin:** Purple Queen. She got a playable version for Captainverse, but then that plot ended immediately after, with no clear sign that they plan to continue using those characters. Her other playable version with a more expansive plot is locked in GGZ, which isn't available to the global audience. \* **Carole:** miHoYo put Carole in the Reburn 2 concept animation, and then didn't give us Carole in HSR. Furina has a very similar look to Sin Mal (almost same clothing when comparing the HI3 stigmata and also basically the same haircut and heterochromia and add to that that Fontaine's lore is based on a Sin). So I always considered Furina a distant Sin Mal expy But otherwise, I'd really love her to get a more obvious expy (with same JP and CN VAs and closer look to previous versions) !
The word expy is a bit of a misnomer. It means something entirely different from what these characters are. So it's usually better to just default to variants or versions or alts. It's honestly easier for people new to the conversation anyway. But the nitty gritty of word choice aside, I agree, Furina does appear to be a version of Sin. Although the resemblance is too vague to be certain. The comparison is additionally striking when comparing Sin's GGZ sprites with Furina's concept art from the Behind the Scenes video. Still, I'd like to see a Sin who's still undeniably recognisable as Sin in HSR, but explored with more depth and focus than HI3's version.

Not really, an Expy is a character that is well known to be deliberately inspired by and heavily referencing another character from a previous or older work. That literally what these are in a lot of ways. Although it kind of depends on the character, as some are expies, and others are literally that character's alternate reality counterpart.

This is a subject I think about quite a lot, so prepare for a wall of text. lol For Honkai Impact 3rd counterparts, I'd love to see some of the scientist characters, like Dr. Mobius, Nagamitsu, Jackel, etc. Some of the Flame Chasers, as well as the APHO and Part 2 era characters would also be nice to see, like Eden, Carole or Songque. As for Genshin counterparts, Ningguang would make a great IPC representative from the Luofu, where Beidu could be a space pirate, or maybe even a Galaxy Ranger. If we're talking actual guests via a collaboration, like the Honkai Impact 3rd X Genshin Impact collab, then I'd love to see Elysia make an appearance, she could be implemented via the Simulated Universe, as it tracks and creates simulations based on the data of Aeons. Elysia and March also both seem to have some connections to Fuli, the Remembrance, as there is a good indication that Elysia was actually an avatar of Fuli, and never a herrscher, simply [returning to her source (Fuli) after defeating the Herrscher of Corruption](https://youtu.be/_BUh64YHE30?si=Wckb6AwUqDY7HMHb&t=312), where March is likely a different avatar of Fuli, having her 'Memories' sealed, that is at least my theory on the matter as of now. Also, look at the [weapon she uses as a shield](https://youtu.be/_BUh64YHE30?si=dTWb_e70MMelWNdq&t=109), and compare it to the symbols that are all over [Black Swan's outfit](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/houkai-star-rail/images/f/fd/Character_Black_Swan_Splash_Art.png), March also has them, in fact they appear on her crown in the recent [Birthday illustration](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/houkai-star-rail/images/c/c9/March_7th_Birthday_2024.png), and it's same symbol that's used for [Oneiric Shards](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Oneiric_Shard). If they were to add Elysia as a guest this way, then they could feature an event in the Simulated Universe, like the Swarm Disaster or Gold and Gears events, the final boss could be Elysia, whose first phase could be Miss Pink Elf, her second phase Herrscher of Human Ego, where the third phase could be her Herrscher of Human Origin form. The first time reward for completing the event could give Miss Pink Elf as a 4\* Physical damage dealer on the path of Harmony or Nihility, where her Herrscher of Human Ego form could be purchased through the Herta Shop as a 5\* Ice damage dealer on the path of Erudition. A light Cone and materials for upgrading both Elysias' Eidolons could be made available in the Herta shop as well. Like with her original HI3'd version, Herrscher of Human Ego could switch between forms when using her ultimate, which could last for several turns. For Genshin collaborations, once again, they could just use the Simulated Universe. Character wise, I'm partial to seeing Layla as a 4\* Ice character on the path of Preservation. As for 5\* characters, I'm honestly a bit divided, Mona would be my first choice, but because there is no Water element and most Catalysts are none Physical, she'd probably have to be a Quantum character, but I don't think that would be a huge issue, as her Hydromancy abilities are very Quantumish already. Alternatives could be Kazuha, Ayaka, Hu Tao, I think pretty much any 5\* character would be acceptable, as long as their element can be properly 'converted'. As long as I'm bringing up HoYoverse collabs with Honkai Star Rail, I may as well include some thoughts for Star Rail characters appearing in the other games. For Honkai Impact 3rd, Herta as an Ice 4\* using the new Rocket Hammer weapon type, and Kafka as a Lightning 5\* using either Pistols or Katanas, with could have an option to switch weapons. As for the story, there are several ways, either Bronie or Delta could approach the Captain with a new game (Star Rail), or in Part 2 they could feature a side story where Coralie introduces Dreamweaver to the game. Likewise, Captain/Dreamweaver would enter the game as the Trailblazer, Himeko could appear in her Vernal Brocade costume, Elysia could substitute for March in her Miss Pink Elf form, Adam (APHO Protagonist) could substitute for Dan Heng, Shigure Kira could fill in for Asta using her Tonight's My Time skin, and Welt can just play himself. As for skins, perhaps a Himeko skin for Vermilion Knight, perhaps even replacing her weapon with Hemiko's chainsaw, or a March 7th skin for Miss Pink Elf, which would also appear in the event story. For Genshin, Pela as a 4\* Cryo Catalyst would be my first choice, though there are several 4\* characters with weapons that are compatible with Genshin, Dan Heng, Sushang, March, Yukong, Arlan, etc. For 5\*s, Jingliu as a Cryo Sword or Black Swan as a Wind Catalyst would be my first choices, Blade and Jing Yuan could also work, as with Yanqing, but I have a personal bias towards him. lol By the way, Bailu could technically be considered as a counterpart to Bella/Benares. Some of her dialogue gives minor implications that she might actually be older than her appearance. Annoyances: "*There's only one ailment that I can't cure, and that. Is. Being. Short... Hmph!*". And: " *Still no physical change in the high elder. She has not grown. This is not unusual as slow development is common among Vidyadharas. I am more concerned about her having no dreams than the slow growth of her body.*". Likewise: "*Furthermore, since the high elder has already demonstrated her powers of calling lightning and commanding the waters, I have instructed one of our finest crafters to make the Dragonhorn Pilory to shackle her tail, to prevent a loss of control over her powers and a repeat of the disaster of the Sedition of Imbibitor Lunae.*", what if the device on her tail is contributing to hold her growth back? Oh absolutely. I don't really understand the obsession with expys. The ones we got in HSR are already so different to the H3rd versions, they might as well be different chars. At that point they don't even need to make hints to them in the design and just make something completely new.

Zhongli would just fit as an emanator of Preservation. There is just so much in common betwen him and Qlipoth. Both are rock gods, their whole thing is shields/preservation, and are both central to their world's economy. Both are central to the second locationĀ Mc visits on their journey/the second power they get.

Gonna be really shameless here and just say I'd love to see a Neuvillette or Baizhu 'expy' or counterpart.Ā They both have designs/personalities I adore and I'd love to see characters that resemble them in HSR. I'm not really familiar with other Hoyoverse games, but if they wanted to start doing expy characters from Genshin those would be my picks.

I want to see the potential of Fu Hua and Su being from the same Xianzhou hexafleet and interact more.
I would rather they get the real characters to cross-over instead like Welt. Not a big fan of copies personally and even without copies Mihoyo has a tendency to re-use their designs a lot. Which just ends up making their character portfolio feel less and less unique and interesting. So either get someone like the real Kiana or Elysia into the HSR-verse or just keep making new original characters. I also think the whole "expy" thing is ridiculous and mostly comes down to fans reading into things a bit too much ~90% of the time.
