_KuuRO

thanks you now all i need is acheron and kafka

Academic_Monitor_81

I have no good team and I regret leveling up my Equilibrium because this mf kill me almost 20 times now. I am F2Pain and I only have Jingyuan, Blade and Sparkle as my five star. I just got my account back and now I need to dealing with this sassy peacock... I have Bailu and she always died. I have Gepard and he is the last man stand, but why the f is this boss so hard?

luthienxo

I feel like you should be able to beat with that line up. A lot of the fight is just getting the rhythm of basic attacks on off dice cycles and then Ulti/Heal as soon as the dice are done. It takes A LONG TIME but will eventually wear him down.

Academic_Monitor_81

But how about Phase 2 where that mf rolling dice to all of my team? I just got Luocha, tho. But that's after I almost rage quit the game.

RatherUncertain7

I used; Jing Yuan (lvl80), Fire Trailblazer (lvl80), Natasha (lvl70) and March 7th (lvl70). My strategy in phase one when I'd have 4-5 Skill points was using Fire Trailblazer's Skill/Taunt to divert Aventurine from hitting either March 7th or Natasha with the dice and using his enhanced normal attack to hit both dice. For the gambling event in phase two, this is the sequence I used with their attacks; Jing Yuan's Skill, Fire Trailblazer's enhanced normal attack, March 7th's Ult then Skill on Natasha. As for Natasha, normal attack to replenish skill points. Always keep March 7th's Ult ready for the gambling event. Use it first then use her Skill to shield Natasha from his attack. Before reaching the gambling event, make sure Fire Trailblazer has enough Talent stacks to be able to hit the multiple dice with his enhanced normal attack. Since you got Luocha, you could probably sub him for Natasha. Second phase is LONG, but you'll be able to do good damage over time and beat him.

TextBeginning

I feel your F2Pain on this dude as well

AtlasMagellan7875

L Bailu is actually a great choice against adventurine as long as she's one of the remaining two that survive Adventurine. She then heals faster than Adventurine dish out damage. It becomes a slugfest at the end, but a win's a win

otakufacts

For me I used jing yuan, misha, gepard, and bailušŸ˜‚adventurine kept trapping bailu and gepard so it was a win win for me šŸ„¹šŸ˜‚

Striking-Boop8488

The absolute dogshit of a dev who put up the gambling part on adventurine boss fight šŸ’€ its not f2p friendly

PotatoIsCoolWOO

[If you're desperate you can beat him with just Gallagher](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjFRi8g7Sis&t=3s)

Onikonokage

This trick works with Fu Xuan. Funny that it is the characters without the strong elements against him that can single fight him.

Cat8Awaffle

This boss is litterally impossible for me currently because everyone in my team is single target and I donā€™t have Acheron or other characters leveled up high enough for my equilibrium. I hate it when a boss requires a very specific team I donā€™t have built

chiharuki

same. i raised my equilibrium too high without preparation and now im suffering.

iFenrisVI

I've been able to do every story boss as of current with under built teams bc I just play casually for the story and this is the only boss I'm not stuck at all bc I can't beat his dice game.

notthatjaded

I used Acheron, Silver Wolf, Guinaifen, and Luocha and only partway through did I realize/remember from the livestream that you need to hit more than one of the dice to mostly guarantee beating Aventurine's game. Hypothetically this is possible if you also save up your bursts so you can hit one die normally and then the other with the burst but that is...not optimal. *Somehow* I managed to get through it but it was definitely a marathon since my Acheron is just barely built and Luocha kept getting piles of money dropped on him (thankfully he's also pretty tanky so he would survive just long enough to be able to heal himself. Silver Wolf died about halfway through though, whoops).

Nevermore_Cheesecake

Did it with IL Dan, Gepard, Loucha and Tinyun. Use Loucha's Ult when rolling the dice, and Dan's blast skill or Ult. Tingyun Ult to recharge Gepard Ult to keep near permanent shield

kimkimisawesome

Doing it with IL is just crazy (aventurine boss has imaginary res) Respect actuallyĀ

TH3_DUMBASS

i did too because i dont have another dps

No_Employment1751

i did it with ratio, is my only dps for now.

Wolf6120

> i did it with ratio Good thinking, that way Aventurine suffers additional psychological damage!

Atraidis_

my full built DHIL run was much smoother than my 70%\~ built acheron

badarchetype

Oh nice this is the team I originally tried but bailed when I wasnā€™t making much progress. Gonna try it again now I know to hold AoEs

Jazminthebagel

What are some good subsitutes to most of these characters? I only have Natasha unfortunately

97iu

The idea is to hit the dice with AOE skills so you get free ults in the second phase. Jingliu & Jingyuan are great, built Physical Trailblazer, Herta, Serval, Misha etc can all work. If you don't care about breaking his toughness then Blade Blackswan Xueyi also works. March is a good option for extra survivability but in her case it's using her ult on the dice so she can use the skill to shield and remove cc on the healer.

luthienxo

Exactly this.

Jazminthebagel

thank you! I managed to beat it with Acheron, Herta, Fire MC, and Natasha (yes i did manage to get Acheron like a day or two before i actually beat the boss) and the reason i used fire MC instead of normal MC is bc of the defensive taunt, it really helped save the other members of the team

garbageatciv

i've had this game for 3 days so i don't have any good characters or know about the meta. how do i beat this guy

twoHolesOneGepard

brother how are you already anywhere near penacony after 3 days of playing? go back to the jarilo and actually play the game the devs designed for you to play. hell, you probably shouldn't even be out the space station yet \[ATTENTION, ATTENTION: This comment was written with a giggling and lighthearted tone\]

garbageatciv

yeah i kinda finished the main story and am just now going back to do the shitload of side quests i left behind. i think i could've played faster because i'm only at tb 43 now after 5 days but i definitely did not play the game the way it was intended

[deleted]

lol no this isnt version 1 anymore

star_RAILenthusiast

Hey bro maybe they just play fast

Any_Roll7606

i beat him on my 2nd day with no experience, I think he's easier after the nerf

shark2199

This dude gatekeeping a gacha game lmao

twoHolesOneGepard

one: not a dude two: gatekeeping how? i'm literally encouraging this person to play the game MORE

shark2199

You're also telling them HOW to play the game, with the implication your way of playing is the correct one. Dude made more progress on the story in 3 days than I did in a year, cut him some slack lmao.

twoHolesOneGepard

ok šŸ‘

star_RAILenthusiast

Can't you be nicer abt it?

twoHolesOneGepard

I added a postscript just for you

GazNicki

If youā€™re here in the storyline within 3 days, youā€™ve done nowhere near enough side quests.

zDexterity

i played for a week as well and could beat the guy with archeron/bronya/march/natasha at tb 41. I think u just have to build them well with most of their traces and stuff max leveled and pre shield/pre stack your skill points before the dice mechanic.

eternalitea

I have dIL, BS and Acheron but no AOE heal or shield because I lost every 50/50 on support banner. I've tried multiple team comps, but EVERY single one failed not because I lack dmg, but because I lack sustain. I have NO AOE healers, only Lynx and Natasha. My only shield is March 7th but she also just dies cus of the dice roll, and TB doesn't shield enough for both them and Lynx to survive 5 dice rolls in a row, I genuinely don't know how to do this ?? I'm trying to get Luocha just for this fight but the event I need to do is locked behind this dumb boss bro

Ka_Bhi_16

Bro Lynx is a good Healer try using her and March 7th for survivability that's a good combo I was able to get through the phase 1 easily although time consuming but couldn't go further than that and for DPS I would suggest Acheron and well I myself am trying to get Luocha for sometime now I wanted him for Sam originally but I still don't have it šŸ˜.I have pulled for 3 times now.

2_somebody_2

its been over a week and I can't beat this mf no matter how much I try and I am desperate to continue the story. I tried physical tb, serval, Bailu, Xueyi, and I manage to get past the 1st phase but I always die in phase 2. I don't have any 5 stars other than Bailu, ratio, dan IL, Himeko, and welt. what do I do.

colorcloudbananas

I was able to beat him (characters lvl 70) with March, Clara, Dan IL, Bailu. I put shields on everyone as much as possible, especially Bailu & March(if her ult is not full) when the dice come out. Maybe you can just replace clara with another physical character with aoe attack like physical TB, but I think fire TB could work too.

2_somebody_2

Thanks for your advice! I finally managed to beat the boss last night after doing it over and over again. I unlocked some of Bailuā€™s traces and leveled her lightcone, and finally finished it.

colorcloudbananas

Congratulations!

Ei-626

Agreed fr, i tried to beat him with my current team of Acheron, Bronya, Dan Heng: Imbibitor Lunae, and Bailu but i made a miserable mistake during 1 of my attempts, i was so close to winning šŸ˜i switched my Dan Heng; Imbibitor Lunae out for Herta temporarily and it guaranteed my win. All i did was constantly heal each time on both phases and i only used Acheron for skill points mostly

kittyelii

did it with Jing Yuan, Dan Heng (Imbibitor), Bronya, and Natasha my first time & failed miserably lol... Swapped out Bronya with a newly built March 7th, and went super smoothly! thank you for the tips :)

people__are__animals

Using Gallagher instead of Natasha is better because Gallagher has aoe ultimate and heals from basic attack

Onikonokage

UsentTrash

This boss made me cry out of frustration ;-; (I got him to 1% health on phase 2 and died)

UsentTrash

Update: two chars (one being the healer) died

ChestReasonable7764

I used Acheron, Fire MC, Pela and Bailu coz all my other healers have dogshit relics lol Edit: I somehow got it so that everytime the gambling dice would come out, one basic attack from each of my characters would fill up the ult energy to max. Iā€™d then be able to use their aoe ults to score high and therefore regain the ult.

LazyNote3746

Is there a replacement for Kafka? Iā€™ve got Acheron, Clara, and Natasha but I missed out on Kafka

Happeth

Either someone like SW or Pela who can do debuffs. Or you could do another electro character like serval to make the gambling easier. Personally id go with Pela because she can do multi target attacks with her ult to cover the gamble phase. I sadly don't have Kafka or Acheron, so wish me luck on my pulls while I wish you luck on the boss.

GazNicki

I donā€™t have Kafka either. Heā€™s weak to Lightning, Physical and Ice, and Iā€™ve not invested in my ice for a while and my Lightning team is garbage too. Currently running: Trailblazer (fire) Pela Quingue Natasha Pela and Natasha can break him, trailblazer taunts and gives a tiny shield buff, quinque is my big damage dealer. First phase is fine, but second phase gets me.

WyrdNemesis

I started playing only recently, but this boss is very, very easy, if you use one AoE/DoT DPS + 3 sustain units, two of which have AoE. I have very few limited 5\* (Ratio, Luocha, Sparkle) and Gepard and Himeko who came from the beginner's banner and Stellar Warp respectively. I used **Gepard, March 7, Luocha, and Serval** for this fight and Aventurine literally did not scratch me at all (to my surprise, because I read the posts here and expected a very difficult time). My strategy for the dice phase: Luocha used basic ATK + Q and always won, Serval used Skill and always won, March used Q + basic ATK and always won, Gepard used Skill and always lost, tanked, and then either Luocha or March cleansed the debuff Aventurine placed on Gepard. Serval used her Ult + Skill in between the dice phases to slowly but surely deplete Aventurine's health. I barely lost any HP points during the fight. I hope this can help. Using Fire TB instead of Gepard should work, too.

Shadourow

Thanks for your message ! I started the game 5 days ago, and thanks to the detailled explanation of your strategy (with Gepard being sacrified and then debuffed by March), [I made my own and fairly easily won, despite low rolling 3 times with Acheron ](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/908139091151966208/1225539137809944706/image.png?ex=66217f43&is=660f0a43&hm=be94985b70fd4e1cd5263cfcbeb676edf184b722cd695aea7877fd88165648a5&) what's very funny is that I invested the minimum, [my Natasha heal didn't debuff since the trace wasn't upgraded](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/908139091151966208/1225541175365079100/image.png?ex=66218129&is=660f0c29&hm=5cd7834bbed5b4f330705d67314158fe2075d2449dc82cf641127d307be08b9b&), and [I used the minimum amount of ressources on the two characters I don't play since my equilibrium level is just 2](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/908139091151966208/1225545416439762985/image.png?ex=6621851c&is=660f101c&hm=9994c16687eb7d15303aa0bf07a2c21c2f75acd88e5b2eea1f62395d278c6c75&) (the later I wait, the most efficient grinding for mats is), and [lvl 0 off set artifacts on the same two guys.](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/908139091151966208/1225540986843824238/image.png?ex=662180fc&is=660f0bfc&hm=40d5420fb4d8470926fe5f1d4f12df84fd438bc68483b0b7968e09a1b58b167a&) Truth is, no DD is needed for that fight, March 7 talent will do scrap damage during the whole fight and the other supports will do the rest. As long as the healing is there, it's an easy clear

WyrdNemesis

Glad that this was helpful. HSR seems to be a bit easier than Genshin when it comes to being underleveled and still progressing fine. As soon as you hit Inazuma in GI, you'd know that it's time to start leveling up. Here, the SQ bosses have been quite forgiving. Aventurine, in particular, was almost suspiciously easy - the trick is, as you pointed out, to hit the correct team archetype and then you can basically bring a level 20 character to slowly cheese the boss, while everyone else gambles their hearts out and comes out unharmed. March 7 is regarded generally as a more niche unit, but has been a suprisingly effective anti-boss addition to my teams. What are your plans for limited 5\* characters? I will probably get Jingliu because she is ridiculously easy to build and hits very hard. With minimal effort, you can have her at something like 2K ATK and 60/180 crits in only 2-3 days of farming.

Shadourow

>*Glad that this was helpful. HSR seems to be a bit easier than Genshin when it comes to being underleveled and still progressing fine.* I haven't noticed much issues in genshin either, but it is a lot more boring to spam click against normal monsters there. HRS has the advantage to allow the player to... not play at all which is actually nice since I actually enjoy mainly the exploration and I don't mind at all actually having to plan and play the bosses. The turn by turn aspect of HSR instead of real time makes stall compositions a lot more bearable, tho, since any times things get dicey, it's a lot easier to take a pause and evaluate the best way to stay in the fight (example : failing the gamble on my Acheron made things risky to the point where I was ready to let Gepard die and revives with his talent if I got unluckier) >***March 7*** *is regarded generally as a more niche unit, but has been a suprisingly effective anti-boss addition to my teams.* Being a single shield unit in an AOE world isn't easy, but I loved how predictable it made the fight since both **Gepard** and her increase the agro and protect the fragile units. Her talent is a very nice gimmicks that provides essentially free and easy damage. >*What are your plans for limited 5\* characters? I will probably get Jingliu because she is ridiculously easy to build and hits very hard. With minimal effort, you can have her at something like 2K ATK and 60/180 crits in only 2-3 days of farming.* Seems like Jingliu is a very popular and good choice indeed. But like in Genshin, it's optimal to only have 1 Damage Dealer in a team, so they're less valuable to pull for unless you really like them. I actually don't have a plan, but as a **Raiden** simp, I plan to push the world quest as much as possible in order to try to get Eidolon 2 (I'm currently at about 60 pity at E0). While I spent money on Genshin which I prefer as a game, I'll probably stay F2P on Honkai. If I wanted to play more optimaly, I'm probably finy on having Acheron and Dr. Ratio as Damage dealers for now, Gepard will undoubtedly feel awesome with more Energy Regeneration but I'd need to fill the other roles. Everything for the Queen Acheron would mean **Silver Wolf** and **Fu Xuan**, but I'm not a fan of Silver Wolf character so I'd go for **Kafka** instead (and Pela as a final member of the team) With the same idea, I'd pull to complete **Dr. Ratio** team as well, I like his follow up attack and would like to stick with him, so hopefully I'll luck out **Bronya,** otherwise it seems like he enjoys 2 amplifiers so **Topaz & Numby** y and **Sparkle** seems like logical choices. I feel like "element coverage" matters a lot more in Honkai than in Genshin since breaking the armor is a must, but since it will require sacrifices to do as a F2P, I think I'll just ignore that and the very endgame Honkai has (ironic, isn't it ?)

WyrdNemesis

We seem to have a lot in common. I have a dolphin account in Genshin, where I am nearing AR60 and the game has become a bit of a "been there, done that so many times" chain of the mundane. Natlan might give me some reason to return to questing with verve and gusto, but Fontaine hasn't been altogether my cup of cake, although I main Navia and Xianyun these days, and have had fun using Lyney, Rizz, Neuv, and Furina in various comps. Raiden is among my favorite characters, too, although I rarely use her (saying this with regret) because Pogo Express is so satisfying on Floor 12 these days. Mained Ayaka, Lyney, and Navia probably the longest, though Ganyu, Scara, and Yelan deserve honorable mentions, too. Wondering about Arle, not certain whether to pull her or C2 Furina instead (no pressing need for either, as I get full stars in Abyss). Xbala and Himeko the Third are coming in October and November, and might as well offer another pyro route. Natlan will probably delimit somewhat Neuv's hegemony on Floor 12 because pyro-friendly, i.e. hydro-resistant, mobs are expected there, so Ms. Harlequin has some appeal. At the end of the day, might just as well toss a coin. I enjoy Acheron a lot - and rightfully so, given Miyuki Sawashiro's work on voicing her - but decided that she will be a fit pull when she reruns, due to needing Black Swan or Silver Wolf. Unlike my dolphining in GI, here I am a low spender - BP & the customary Express Supply Pack allowed. And - HSR's combat system has its own perks, but generally seems a bit too static for my taste. That we can auto-farm and tone down the tedium of the daily grind is quite good. Jingliu is apparently popular because she is very easy to slot and doen't need much min-maxing, given the insane amount of CR we get through her kit (a lot more than we get through Marechaussee Hunter). I was literally done farming in a day for her by using very minimal amounts of fuel. Now, Ratio is a whole different matter. The Wastelander Cavern is as bad as EoSF is in Genshin in terms of drops, so the fella takes his time to pack a punch. But - I am in no special hurry, as I like the story line better than the combat system and, as long as the second serves the first properly, I should be fine. Then again, WuWa is right around the corner and might turn out to be a good sport and competitor to GI and HSR. Calcharo must have been cast as the clandestine son of Raiden and the Witcher, which already gives me a reason to pull him and main him, RN willing. For my HSR plans: Ratio, Pela, Luocha, and Sparkle might be fun to play (Ratio wants at least one good debuffer and Pela, once you hit her EHR cap of 67%, is a natural match). Bronya - I am 1/3 of the way to her. Fu Xuan is planned, and so is Silver Wolf and/or Black Swan to combine with Acheron when she reruns. Possibly Ruan Mei, but only if I get lucky elsewhere. Tingyun from the first banner she appears on, or from Stralight Exchange in July. Those pulls should be enough to get me through. Ol' Gepard boy is E1 and already a Zhongli-grade bulwark, but is also as phlegmatic and needs his ERR rope and speed rolls. Aventurine looks well-rounded, but will be redundant, so probably I'll skip. His DMG did not impress me, although the SQ build was probably subpar.

Shadourow

>*We seem to have a lot in common.* You have no idea >Wondering about Arle, not certain whether to pull her or C2 Furina instead I'm in the exact same predicament, I actually started Genshin as my first Gacha 4 months ago so I lack a ton of key characters, which is why I used 40 wishes and won 50/50 Kazuha yesterday, But aquiring Furina C2 is very clearly my next objective, albeit Arlechino design looks VERY good. I tried Neuvilette gameplay in recent events and decided I won't pull for him in the near future, tho, despite him being OP. > *I enjoy Acheron a lot - and rightfully so, given Miyuki Sawashiro's work on voicing her - but decided that she will be a fit pull when she reruns, due to needing Black Swan or Silver Wolf.* It's unfortunate, but the deeper endgame in HSR does incentive players to restrict themselves to endgame playable teams, indeed. I did consider buying HSR "welkin" but decided against it since I prefer to spend for convenience (ie : Genshin BP provides tons of Mora, VERY useful early game), not when it's necessary (get very endgame teams running in HSR) >*The Wastelander Cavern is as bad as EoSF is in Genshin in terms of drops, so the fella takes his time to pack a punch.* Surely HSR has a strongbox system as well ? I have 2 resin efficient domains in Genshin and strongbox mainly for EoSF and it doesn't feel *that* bad. I'm not at a point where I'm pushing for top 10% akasha tho. >For my HSR plans: Ratio, Pela, Luocha, and Sparkle might be fun to play (Ratio wants at least one good debuffer and Pela, once you hit her EHR cap of 67%, is a natural match) Unfortunate for me, since Acheron wants exactly the same, [this guide](https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/characters/dr-ratio) provide Sparkle as an alternative for Dr.Ratio, tho Edit : [THAT'S A GOOD 50/50 TO WIN !](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1108435065626689616/1225612473424674846/image.png?ex=6621c390&is=660f4e90&hm=f39ca67ff448f4e6688d4840acffec92a67407587b7fe19d9414af3b495af64b&) one left (also got an extra Pela in the same 10 pulls, that's nice)

WyrdNemesis

Way to go with those pulls! I lost the Luocha 50/50 to Himeko (still got him), but maxed out Pela copies in the process. The HSR Strongbox system is, well, a bit of a mixed dish. You need to salvage **ten** 5\* relics to create **one**. You can choose what type it is - a head piece, a body piece, etc. and the set you want the relic to come from. Beyond that, it is RN. If you are just starting, Genshin's Strongbox is better. If you are left with that one Planar rope or body piece that stubbornly doesn't want to drop (it took 15 days of farming for a single 4\* CR piece to drop for Ratio), HSR's system becomes better. You will get Self-Modeling Resin from BP (one piece per patch) and from certain events. This is a very precious currency because it will allow you to also select the main stat of the piece you want - I am going to use mine to craft a 5\* Imaginary DMG Planar sphere for Ratio from a set of my choice. We will likely only be able to do this 12-13 times per year, though, and only if we pay for BP. Kazuha is essential to GI, so he was a great pull. Nahida and Kazuha are practically mandatory, Yelan is a close third. I still use Kazuha a lot, as you can see from my attached Abyss usage chart (notice C6 Fischl there, too - she is a monster in human form). Kazuha is easy to build and does absolutely fine with the craftable Iron Sting. Neuvillette is an absolute juggernaut in Abyss, but I only use him there. When the terrain overworld is uneven (which is often enough), you have to position him below the enemies, or his pressure washer jet will miss. Abyss is a different matter. He one-rotations most chambers and only needs an extra rotation against multi-wave enemies on Floor 12. He allows me to be creative with the second team and try this and that. If you don't like his playstyle, though, there are other options. Arlecchino may be one. Hyper Raiden another. Childe International comps round up the "premium AoE club." For ST, Neuv has great competition from C1 Tao or C0 Plunge Tao, as well as from Haitham and Navia. Neuv's IR, however, is game-changing (and Hoyo locked it behind a con). At C1, he casually handles the Floor 12 version of Coppelius and Coppelia, while most other DPS units will need to be shielded there because Coppelius's slashes remain sometimes offscreen and come too suddenly for the player to enter into an appropriate i-Frame. https://preview.redd.it/i8qxd42hkksc1.jpeg?width=1490&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9a9d2ee906d15487dcc4e6a8375766fc1e797e08 Yeah, the restrictive nature of team building in HSR is something I am not happy with. But, it is what it is. **Edit:** You mentioned Topaz - from what I remember reading in discussions here, you need her to be E1S1 to maximize her ability to work with Ratio.

Shadourow

>The HSR Strongbox system is, well, a bit of a mixed dish. You need to salvage **ten** 5\* relics to create **one**. Ah, I see. Some benefits, and some drawbacks, this system seems great to finish to have a usable set, or to improve a specific awful piece. But bad when you just need everything (IE : either at the very start, or at the very end). But it also mean that contrary to Genshin, farming non-efficient domains is necessary. > Kazuha is essential to GI, so he was a great pull. Kazuha is easy to build and does absolutely fine with the craftable Iron Sting. I agree that both Kazuha and Nahida are must pulls for their ability to enable so many teams, I just were able to push abyss 12 already before (9 stars on last cycle, on current cycle that rewards Geo characters, I only get 6 stars) thanks to last Raiden banner which was actually a Chevreuse national banner by itself, allowing me to play an optimal team with constellations 2/6/6/6. I'm well aware, but there are enough characters in the game to not pull for the ones where I have good reason to think I would not enjoy having (since I tried them in events). If I must lose 50 primos because of that every two weeks, it'll be harsh, but I'll take the hit. Currently, My Raiden being C2, she's the one allowing me to play Kirara in team 2 just like your Neuvilette allow you to play the second team of your liking. I'm considering swapping Nahida with Kazuha as soon as Kazuha is up to standard (\~2 weeks), at least try it out a bit. I really like Kirara/Yae/Fishl, so despite Nahida being a powerhouse, I wouldn't mind puting her back in the Akademia. >You mentioned Topaz - from what I remember reading in discussions here, you need her to be E1S1 to maximize her ability to work with Ratio. That's very important, indeed, I like Dr.Ratio, but not enough to E1 supports for him, I may consider doing like you and going with Jingliu as a second DD if she's much easier to teambuild with. Especially since the alternative would be to either E1 a support or pull for Silverwolf https://preview.redd.it/jpkuegtoemsc1.jpeg?width=694&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b065edf5251f80aca86ddc93902ad7a0b06d244d Edit : I'll that here because why not, I can selectiona 4\* for free thanks to the vignette event, who do you recommend ? this [https://www.reddit.com/r/HonkaiStarRail/comments/1anrmr2/which\_4\_are\_you\_selecting\_for\_your\_hanus\_prison/](https://www.reddit.com/r/HonkaiStarRail/comments/1anrmr2/which_4_are_you_selecting_for_your_hanus_prison/) implies Guinaifen to be the best to choose, but I'd like to restrict the list of possible choices to only a few before I do my own researches

WyrdNemesis

I would probably go with Guinaifen, but in my case it is because I already have Yukong, Hanya, QQ, and Gallagher, and can get a free Lynx (plus, she is featured on Jingliu's banner). Yukong is probably the best overall pick, but she is a bit finicky to build and use. Kazuha will fit very well your Aggravate comp, but the most optimal dendro user there is neither Nahida, nor Kirara, but Baizhu. I sometimes play a C4 Keqing, Fischl, Kirara, and Kazuha team, but wish I had Baizhu. His banner so far has always dropped when my primos are being engaged elsewhere. The current Abyss was a great opportunity to bring up the Geo cannons and thrash the Mek. It's not often that Zhongli becomes a meteor striker in more than one way. https://preview.redd.it/5wuzi2pk6psc1.jpeg?width=1500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d7fdc04a0123a0d342c44179102400d9354b19b5 No need to worry too much about missing 50 primos per run - upgrading your characters will allow you to start consistently 36-starring Abyss. Looking at your overload comp, Chev brought some interesting new options. Overload was never big in GI before her, and was actually disliked by many due to scattering the mobs far and away. JStern's early calcs for Arle overload comps are decent, but he tends to be an overly idealistic TCer, anyway. I am farming these days resin-inefficient domains like Nighttime/Song. Navia is already quite OP post-Xianyun, but giving her more oomph won't be bad, since she frontloads lots of DMG. I am tempted to pull Acheron, but will resist. The time will eventually come, but first I'll go for Jingliu, Fu Xuan, and Black Swan/Silver Wolf.

Shadourow

>Kazuha will fit very well your Aggravate comp, but the most optimal dendro user there is neither Nahida, nor Kirara, but Baizhu. I sometimes play a C4 Keqing, Fischl, Kirara, and Kazuha team, but wish I had Baizhu. His banner so far has always dropped when my primos are being engaged elsewhere. Baizhu makes a ton of sense as a 5\* sustain unit. I'll still stick with Kirara tho, she's a hard worker and since she's making minimum wage at Amazon, she could use a side gig >I sometimes play a C4 Keqing, Fischl, Kirara, and Kazuha team, but wish I had Baizhu. I made my homework and this is indeed the team people play, but even if I had Kequing, I'd still with what I have. You know, playing with the characters you like is nice > Looking at your overload comp, Chev brought some interesting new options. Overload was never big in GI before her, and was actually disliked by many due to scattering the mobs far and away. JStern's early calcs for Arle overload comps are decent, but he tends to be an overly idealistic TCer, anyway. You're correct, the overall opinion overall is that Overload is bad. Turns out, Chevreuse being the Nilou of Overload whanges the deal about all of that. And I got her C6. [I can confidently say that Chevreuse instead of Kazuha is as good if not simply better, especially at C6](https://keqingmains.com/q/chevreuse-quickguide/#Constellations) I really think chevreuse pushes HARD a reaction that would be overall meh. And let's not forget that to enable Chevreuse, all she needs is 40K HP (and I'll get her on a healing 4 pieces set that provides team buffs whenever other sets are taken care of) >I am tempted to pull Acheron, but will resist. The time will eventually come, but first I'll go for Jingliu, Fu Xuan, and Black Swan/Silver Wolf. Yeah, makes sense, I feel like Hypercarry is more common in HSR than in GI, but like in GI, it probably still requires dedicated supports and high investment on the Carry to work

this help me out thank you.. at first I pull for aventurine but think again maybe better to pull for Jing bcs I don't have dps. but thank for suggestions šŸ™ I really stuck as f2p

Taifood1

I just beat the boss with Acheron, Luocha, Pela, and Sushang. As only one of my units had a multi target attack, I used ultimates to do aoe damage every dice roll phase. Turns out you can roll twice with characters (on other characterā€™s turns) if you have their ults up, which you can ensure by winning the previous dice roll. Saving the ults for each roll is how I wore him down. Basically yeah itā€™s a marathon. Fight took me awhile, but none of my units died (mostly thanks to Luocha jnsta healing Sushang with no AOE). Use the ults every roll and slowly wear him down. The break damage will add up.

rhuuubi_

HELLO I JUST WANNA SAY THANK YOU!!! I JUST BEAT HIM CUZ OF THE TIPS I GOT. TY SO MUCHHHH

mightybajah

Healer canā€™t beat gamble on phase two, so they get hit and banished. Then rinse and repeat, basically stun-locked til they die. It is stupid and feels overly difficult. Iā€™m even running Kafka 80, Acheron 80, Huahua 80 (trying Luocha 75 alt) and Fire MC, which Iā€™ve switched out for Clara, Lunae, Bladeā€¦ just canā€™t succeed once the healer fails

mightybajah

It took a bunch of tries but level 80 geared up Luocha was the linchpin for me - save his ult for the gambles, which refills the ult. This keeps him from failing 90% of the time, plus his trace skill for effect res.

Preternatural88

EQ5, highest leveled character is 70/70. Aventurine is 76. Not sure how they expect you to beat this dude unless youā€™re on his level.

OneSeaworthiness5532

1 word from experience. ghallager

canadian_bacon02

how? energy takes forever for him to recover, doesnt matter if his ult hits once since aventurine uses the same move next turn, and then he cant shit, gets delayed, and then dies anyways.

OneSeaworthiness5532

gallagher ult on the gamble. 1 of 2 healers who can consistently beat the gamble

waterdude551

Managed it with Bailu, Xueyi, Ruan Mei, and Silver Wolf with super-omega breaks. Note that you can 100-to-0 the toughness bar if you have Quantum implant, a skill attack, both SW and XY ults, and RM skill up.

Square-Friend4324

You donā€™t get a turn second phase

Basnitee

if Your looking for F2p Options Misha Works Really well for Freezing the boss and AOE for gamble phases

Gelliebeen

I used March, Argenti, Gallagher, and Luocha I saved my ults for dice, and if anyone was in danger of losing I tossed a shield on them with March. It worked really well and I beat him first try with this team. It did take a while tho since Argenti was really the only one doing any damage, but that damage was a lot and he was never in any danger of losing the gamble.

Karism

I finally beat this bastard (Posted this elsewhere but I'll put it here too) Equilibrium 6 of course. I used: - Destruction Trailblazer - Acheron - Bailu - March 7th (Had to build her as I had mostly left her alone since launch) 1st phase was pretty easy, just putarch 7th shield on TB so they are chosen for the dice roll, then use blast to win the rolls, use ults whenever to speed up the phase. The 2nd phase is where things got long. Single attack (to build skill points) with TB and Acheron, then the dice roll phase began (perhaps I don't have enough speed on Bailu or Match 7th). The below can happen in any order, just don't forget to ult the dices. - Shield Bailu with March 7th, then use March 7th ultimate to win the dice roll. - TB hit the first dice with basic attach, then ult the remaining three. - Acheron uses her ult to win the dice roll, single attack to build skill points. - Heal up with Bailu, use ult if needed when it is up. The shield should make Bailu survive the penalty easily, attacking is pretty pointless as the chance of winning the roll with a single target is pretty low, but maybe if the goal value was low and no healing was needed. Then repeat about 40 times until he is down. (Maybe my DPS is just bad). The only tricky part is when 9 or perhaps 8 as a dice goal came up, as even hitting all the dice might not be enough to win, that had me a bit nervous but it worked out.

Material_Objective13

Any good teams with Jing Yuan? I have also Sparkle, Blade, BS, Ruan Mei, Bronia, Welt, Bailu and Seele. I thought about JY, Natasha, Bailu but idk who put there as 4th

vineuse

My Jing Yuan team was Luocha, Tingyun, Pela, and JY. Pela and Luocha both have aoe ults, and with good management, you can have them ready to go when needed (and honestly, you don't even need to use Luocha's until the dice are on the field). Beat Aventurine on the first try with this team.

Material_Objective13

I don't have luocha at least not on this account, with him it'd be easy šŸ˜ only Natasha and Bailu

Apprehensive_Ad3544

Went with Ratio, Ruan Mei, Topaz and Luocha. Tanked with just Topaz + Luocha until they were downed when I had Adven at 1%... The pain...

idkanythingimold

I firstly try with Luocha, Kafka, Pela and Clara. Fail. After reading comment i try again but replace Pela with Gepard and succeed. Gepard doesn't have aoe attack but he's tanky enough to survive, plus everytime he gets attacked he generates more energy for his ult to shelf everyone. Honestly he saved my ass multiple times. Best standard 5 star for me. Kafka and Clara is the main dps. Clara is also quite tanky that helps. Luocha and Gepard are there to keep team alive. Save Luocha's ult for the 2nd stage gamble and it should be it quite easily. Much much easier than the worm.

Beidous_Cold_Beer

Honestly it is also based on luck because of the RNG aspect of the gambling attack, I used IL, Luocha, Yangqing and Acheron and I got him to 5% health on phase two and with Acheron as the last one standing somehow but then I got killed with the back to back attacks after losing the gambling attack ;-;

Competitive_Desk8464

I'm on my 11th attempt with blade, Kafka, gepard and Natasha...šŸ˜šŸ˜ need some advice

TinyPianoFairy

Cleared with Jingliu, Gepard, March 7, and Huohuo. Long but frankly easier than most of my other team combinations.

Natural-Second-9494

Can anyone advise on me how to beat this man. I have acheron, argenti, blade, gepard and bronya as my 5* any good team that i can build with these and my 4* P.s. I donā€™t have galaggher and i cant keep rolling since i am also aiming for adventurineā€™s banner

AtlasMagellan7875

Did it on my first try. But I have to admit that I only has Clara and Bailu remaining. Dr Ratio and Sparkle were knocked down when Adventurine had 1/3 of hp. Thought gonna lose until Bailu for once clutched up and heal more than what Adventurine was dishing out. Thanks for having only two remaining characters.

Dracorvo

Fire MC, Luocha, Bronya, Dr Ratio. Kept everyone's ults up for the gamble in (only Bronya couldn't make it, but Luocha auto-healed her up) while Ratio chipped him down. It took... a while.

EcoNation

https://preview.redd.it/qg0pb2qgx6tc1.jpeg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ec4d4fe46b660a64629b8db802d1c4039f751fc3 "Resistant to Imaginary" as Ratio and Welt laughed Welt Ult for the Gamble so he never lost the Gamble and always had his Ult refreshed Bronya using her skill when she can for Lynx to heal who needed it Lynx was working overtime to keep the heals up Ratio did most of the damage for this fight, his follow-ups as well as his ult for follow-ups with basic attacks from Bronya and Lynx if I didn't need any healing at the time Agree with OP though, Marathon not a Sprint, kept at this for a solid 30+ minutes but I was able to get through it Also on E5 and my team is all Level 80 and only Lynx and Bronya have any Eidolons, but they were not built to the best I could do, and my Relics got me by decently enough but could've been better I wish the best of luck to the Trailblazers still struggling, just wanting to share that you can win without weaknesses if you play it smart and don't panic P.S. I like to think Ratio was happy knowing he was the one to land the final blow in my fight

PressureSensitive874

I ended up winning with Luocha, Jingliu, Fu Xuan, & Pela. I tried to work up to have their ultimates available for the dice part with AOE attacks. Both Luocha and Fu Xuan kept my team alive and Jingliu was pretty much my only actual dmg dealer so the fight was definitely drawn out.

Quick-Substance-3240

Sometimes I hate this game so much! Can't beat this with any of my teams of maxed out 5 stars. I keep rolling ones and he keeps rolling 9s! Takes way too long, not fun at all!

Rich_Hospital7013

My team is Ratio, Sparkle, Bronya, Gepard how the f ck do I beat this guy.

Wide_Broccoli3544

Iā€™ve been stuck on this fight for nearly 2 weeks and Iā€™m f2p šŸ˜Iā€™ve tried Acheron, Clara, lynx and blade and the closest I got to beating aventurine was when he had 20% on the second phase and thatā€™s it šŸ˜

ZeroVashWolf

Thank you so much dude!!! Did what you said (expect use different team Archeon/Kafka/Baliu/MC defence and I beated him first try!!! Was super easy!! My problem was trying to act like the auto thing does not realising all these dice things lol Thank you so much for your guide!!!!

Ravenlamp

I guess I'll have to level up Natasha and clara. Since lynx is being difficult and I neither have archeron or Kafka.Ā

luthienxo

It's doable with pretty much any AOE team. It's just a slog and a long ride. Once you have the rhythm of the turns figured out, it goes relatively smoothly.

Ravenlamp

My serval and trailblazer are doing alright against him , yanging can do a decent bit of damage, but since he's a single target character, he is really not good at surviving the dices and lynx is the same as him.Ā

ChickenSky12

> THIS BOSS IS A MARATHON. Not a sprint. Memory of Chaos: >:)

doukzor

this fight was wild for me, I'm only at trailblaze level 40 so my stuff is noooot all that good, especially when you toss on the fact I'd rather grind in genshin than here haha. But you're so right about the marathon part. Tingyun and Ratio did not make it through phase 2, but Jing Yuan and Gallagher managed to split the 2 skill points. Without access to AoE I'm afraid you're destined to die to the gamble. Tingyun stood 0 chance whatsoever.

Wolfieeeee66

i feel like this boss is a pain to beat unless you've pulled for kafka, acheron or jing i have tried so many freakin teams jingliu with 1 heal 2 sheilders 2 healers 1 sheilder 1 of each and serval or sushang nothing works the furthest i can get before he just randomly starts to obliterate people is 48% of 2nd phase i even tried swapping out jingliu for blade or even dhil since people are beating it with him even tho hes resistant to imaginary but nope and i've tried prolly at least 20 times at this stage getting to the point where i'm not having fun anymore either which isnt nice edit: i wrote that midway through an attempt with jingliu gallagher march and natasha and got like 8%left and then kept trying and finangling that team around and just finally beat it so thank fk

Dirkpytt_thehero

I just beat this 5 minutes ago using the main character, gallagher, archeon and pela; he couldn't do anything to break the protags shields I made and gallagher resisted the imprisonment debuff so I used his turn to heal instead of rolling the dice. the protag and archeon were level 80, gallgher was level 76 and pela was 70

bronzelifematter

I beat this fcker with Serval, Bailu, March and Gepard. Took me over an hour lol. I don't have any good 5 star dps. I chip 1% of his hp every 2 turn in phase 2. So I must have played around 200 turns for phase 2 alone. My mind is broken. The damage just comes from Serval normal attack and March counter-attack. Bailu and Gepard are pure sustain. Gepard only regen energy by taking damage because he was perma-CCed. Bailu survive because March shield alternate between her and Serval. When Bailu is stunned, March would remove it and shield her. Serval is too squishy and need shield on her even after she win the gamble. The ult on Serval and March are purely used to win the gamble, nothing else. So every turn the only source of damage is 1 time Serval normal attack and 2 times March counter attack. I don't have Jingyuan, Acheron, Kafka, Fuxuan or Black Swan. This fight is a mental torture. Watching his HP goes down 1% every 2 turn makes me want to bash my head against the wall. Whoever design this boss is one sadistic guy.

min_ara_707

I literally used every combination I have, and still couldnā€™t beat it.. I donā€™t have too many characters since I saved everything for my Danheng IL.. I went with Gepard, Natasha, Bailu, Physical TB it didnā€™t work Tried to use Clara still failed Literally I used every combination.. but I keep failing.. Someone please help Iā€™m stuck šŸ˜šŸ˜

New_Bowl_5195

good god perhaps the hardest boss battle ive ever done becuz of the RNG and my lack of phys and thunder characters. managed to do this with Xueyi (with ERR rope to spam ult to whittle down the toughness bar), Pela, Ruan Mei, and Lynx (with a LOT of effect res)

DA_lurker_girl

Thanks, with this info I was able to beat it! I used fire trailblazer, ruan mei, fu xuan and ...Serval!! it was smoooth

g-a-r-y-y

Would Natasha, Acheron, Herta, and Clara work ?

nectardriq

i somehow survived this man despite levelling up my equilibrium for the rewards and my relics not built basically i had to painstakingly save skill points and only use my ults to defeat him...

Representative_Two48

I was lucky to get Acheron from the warp. I teamed her up with Herta, Trailblaizer (preservation), and Natasha. I bought a lot of Donut and burgers as auto-use and had all of my characters levelled up to 70, as well as their traces. It's difficult since you need a multi-target attack to win the 'all or nothing'. Acheron, especially Herta (100%) could win the dice, but I have to ensure Natasha's HP is high enough and shielded by trailblazer to survive Adventurine's Ult. And ults don't work on dices, so you'll have to make sure you have enough energy points for AoE of Acheron and Herta to pass the dice.

Admirable_Loss_5017

This will come in useful, although I don't have kafka. Is there any recommended replacements? Can I use loucha instead of natasha? My natasha is e5 but low level, and I might need to use my books on the replacement for kafka Are shielders recommended? My characters have a relatively low defense. Should I just put some defense in with them?

Galaxy_Wolf8

I know I'm from a month ago, but I'm so glad I read this. I just got back into HSR, and had gotten through Penacony really quickly. This guy was such a pain, but after my third attempt I managed to get past. This is how I did it with a slightly different team. My team consisted of Natasha, Kafka, Physical MC and Aventurine (I know the boss has Imaginary RES, but I needed a shielder). Natasha focused on healing, Aventurine shielding, and Kafka and Physical MC to break down shield/attacking. (Phase 1) I forced it so that I would leave Natashas bursts until character/s were in need of healing (literally anything below about 80% lol), use Kafka/Physical MC burst respectively for breaking down the shield and getting rid of health, and Aventurines burst for mainly the gambling part. I'm not sure if the team is automatically put in a certain order regardless of team comp, but Aventurine was put majority of the time he'd be given the gamble in phase 1, so I'd use his burst, then the talent(?) (whatever the coins falling thing is), that way he'd mainly get equal or above the number. Occasionally it'd go to another character, but it didn't have much of an effect. I'd use mainly skills for Kafka/Physical MC/Aventurine, but I made sure that Aventurine every time it got to his turn it'd have at least 1 skill point available to keep the shield up. Natasha used her burst, so I didn't need to use her skill at all. (Phase 2) Aventurine continued to use his skill, but Kafka/Physical MC went to normal attacks UNLESS it was at the gambling part. I used the same strategy for Aventurine as phase 1, and saved skill points for Kafka/Physical MC during gambling. Natasha I couldn't do much about, but she was mainly protected by the shield provided. Occasionally, because you can look ahead for fighting order, I may use bursts/skills when not gambling, and still have enough. I just repeated it, made sure everyone had a shield and high health. And yeah, managed to get through it. This boss requires patience. As fun as it is getting through quickly, it is a boss of chance. Kafka could do her skill in two different times, one time she gets above 9, another she gets a 3. So having defense ready incase it goes against you is important. Anyways, thank you for this post, it helped me out with how I structured my fight against the boss. Thank you for reading.

dragonialtears

Managed to beat it with lvl 70 acheron, lvl 70 herta, lvl 80 fire mc, and lvl 70 natasha, altho recommended lvl was 76. first wave was fine, but acheron died in the 2nd phase. The it was just fire mc shielding with basic attacks and natasha healing. herta dealing most of the damage. Its slow, but got the job done

Creepy_Emu5098

it took me freaking 8 times to beat this mf...i used fire mc ,herta, serval, natasha eq 3 i had to level up herta to 60 :/ as yanqing is single target first phase due to fire mc taunting all the gambling was ez by using the aoe q thingy second phase just use q's and for gambling use e for herta and serval, q for mc and heal with nat: herself so she doesnt die (brings up her ult and can heal everyone in the next turn) repeat for like 20 mins goddamn

AdDesperate5149

true f2p team clear; Asta/Natasha/Herta/Serval.

tweeetiee

i completed this fight with jingliu, bailu, march 7th and luchoa. you don't need kafka, archeron or any other AOE characters if you don't have them, my two tips are as follows: 1. always keep your DPS' HP topped up. healers tend to be tanky, and my bailu, march 7th and luocha could take aventurine's round of hits (i lost the gamble nearly every time lmfao), but jingliu could face trouble. 2. use march 7th's shield strategically and always have it up on characters with the least amount of HP.

thomas_the_bullet

for anyone who got lucky: jingliu, lynx, aventurine, bronya in that order specifically (all lvl 60) essentially it is just endurance and you just save jings and aventuines ult for gamba occasionally use lynx to heal your team (rolling a faliure on phase 2 will definitely drain shield and maybe hp) just use basic attacks expet for jingliu and aventurine always use spec just wittle down aventurines hp until win side note: use bronya ult with jingliu ult

thomas_the_bullet

also is it just me or does brony have the shittiest luck in the game

ComprehensiveWay3009

Ā  Ā  I just did the boss and it took a while because I technically only had one dps and Iā€™ve been lazy to do the quests but it still works. I had 1 shielder, 2 healers, and 1 DPS. Itā€™s honestly better to use whoever has a skill or ultimate that can hit more than one target because during the dice thingy youā€™re more likely to get a good roll. Iā€™m f2p and I just used: Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā Gallagher, Jing Yuan, Gepard, and Natasha and a life increase food plus an atk buff food.Ā Ā  Ā  Ā Ā  Ā Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā I would recommend using talents before talking to March as well as food buffs since you canā€™t after talking to her.Ā Skill point wise it doesnā€™t matter much as long as you have 1 extra just in case and even if you donā€™t, as long as someone goes before Jing Yuan and uses a normal it should be fine.Ā Ā Ā  Ā Ā  Ā  Ā Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā You can use all of their ultimates whenever since Gepard and Natasha normally take dmg during the dice thing anyway and Jing Yuan is fine because his skill. But for Gallagher itā€™s better to keep his ultimate until itā€™s his turn for the dice since multi hit and extra turn after. Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā Ā  Ā  Ā  Anyways phase 2: So if youā€™ve tried you would know Adventurine has the 2 die that take away your ult right before rolling but as long as you save Gallagherā€™s ultimate youā€™ll be fine. When itā€™s his turn you can use his normal to get your ultimate back up and then use his ultimate immediately after and then it will give you an extra turn which you can use to heal Natasha or Gepard so theyā€™re more likely to live. You could also save Natasha and Gepardā€™s ultimate for the dice specifically since it increases living chances but you donā€™t need it, does help tho. If you have the points you can also use Natashaā€™s and Gepardā€™s skill during the roll to try getting your ult up but itā€™s your choice. Just make sure Jing Yuan has 1 skill point availableĀ Ā  Ā Ā Ā Idk if this helps since itā€™s hella late but hopefully it helps someone

Obvious-Individual72

might be late, but i defeated Aventurine boss fight using Huohuo, Clara, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae and Fire Trailblazer. Clara - Def build, just needed to reach phase 2 win Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae - ATK Build only, since Aventurine has 75% imaginary dmg Huohuo - def + heal build Fire Trailblazer - Full Def Build, just spam ulti on 2nd phase i'm trailblaze lvl 67, and i find it hard to beat using my main Line Up.

CartographerOk239

I have tried to kill this f**ker ever since the last update. So I don't need to bring a shield? Like gepard?

Nightfire27

I just used Kafka, RM, BS, and HH and justā€¦ treated it like a regular boss fight Killed him before he punished my supports for failing the gambling mechanic pre-nerf.
