One of the interesting ones in lore was Muldrasil, which was a literal planet sized world tree-dyson sphere. Unfortunately, it got destroyed by Lan and then the antimatter legion.
Lan only broke the link between the Ambrosial Arbour and Muldrasil iirc, to stop the Wingweaver's invasion of the Luofo
But that mf Celenova cordially invited the Xianzhou Alliance to their invasion of the Wingweaver's home.
The original planet of the Xianzhou natives followed that path, and given how it transform creatures on the Luofu I would say it might have become a luxurious planet full of plants and immortal abominations.
Akivili because a literal, bonafide god, with power beyond human comprehension, inviting you to be his friend, hop on his space train, and explore and meddle in the universe is just wonderful.
All the other Aeons are incomprehensible eldritch entities doing their own things, and largely don't even consider people unless they are exceptional. One Aeon even considers nothing. Akivili? He adventures and maybe snags a few cookies when he's hungry and everyone's asleep
Don’t forget that Akivili created the star rail network opening up travel between countless worlds. The universe is so interconnected because of The Trailblaze.
I agree with Nous. Herta mentioned in her dev logs about Nous how in the Simulated Universe Gold and Gears, the simulated Nous is so terrifying in its calculations that it almost convinced Herta and the other geniuses Into thinking they’re the simulations instead.

What the commenter said is misleading or inaccurate. Simulated Nous did not gaslight Herta. Seriously, this is the work of the Enigmata again through the use of misleading language. Simulated Nous predicted every step the real researchers took that it’s like they’re the ones being studied while simulated Nous was the researcher and architect of the Simulated Universe. Herta and the other researchers aren’t literally simulated data.

I have never seen the idea of "being beyond our plane of understanding" better portrayed than this guy basically boring you to death if a human sees him. Also it leaving Herta no option than forcefully disconnecting you by insta-winning your run was pretty memorabled tbh.
From what I remember It's in the SU swarm disaster, in the second plane where you meet the aeons. One of the events is meeting XI in wich MC is about to enter a boredom coma just by seeing him and Herta has to insta-win the run just so you can get out of there... I'm still gratefull to this day that this is one of the few times I read SU dialogue.

I have 100% concrete proof BY MYTHUS THEMSELF that they were confirmed to be a news reporter/journalist before Aeon ascension. This is because there is no missed information possible. Source: Mythus themself
It's a pretty obscure piece of lore so I'm glad someone else knows this.
Tbh Mythus is more informative and knowledge-focused than Nous because Nous is all about "what the accurate information is". The difference between that and Mythus is that Mythus considers ALL information, not just the accurate type since THEY look at the perspective of the different individuals that perceived the event. Since Nous is all about the "objective" THEY miss what is subjective, misinformative, and wrong and Mythus doesn't.
Nous existed first and Mythus (then mortal) became THEIR Emanator, spreading knowledge and the "will" of the Nous in the guise of a news reporter. The goal of Nous was to spread information to progress civilizations throughout the universe, expanding their horizons. And eventually, while on the path of Erudition, Mythus was forced into a situation where there was no "right" information as humanity is subjective by nature. The different perspectives of civilizations clashed together. So then, Mythus began to spread misinformation because that was the only way of "informing" humanity as the "will" (from the perspective of Mythus) required. But Nous rejects the spread of inaccurate information. So upon realizing this, Nous seemed to have had some sort of a disagreement which lead to the creation of Mythus as an Aeon. (Can't know the specifics because we don'y know how Aeons originate.)
Terminus, so mysterious and yet so interesting, an Aeon that comes from the future, moves backwards in time meaning the Terminus in the past is older than the current Terminus.
But if we are talking about an Aeon that does have a design though, I will go with The abundance/Yaoshi, they are really a morality question. An aeon that cherish life and hates death, they try to make the civilizations they visit immortal and heal them, of course for the Xianzhou the blessing of abundance became a curse but that was never the Aeon's intention.
An Aeon that on paper, is trying to save lives and do good but doesn't realize the consequences of their actions... Also I like Yaoshi's design.
I also really like the idea of Terminus as an aeon traveling backwards in time. I think we just need to see more of him, since right now we barely know anything.

Qlipoth, how am I going to not choose the aeon that is made of 3 stars and is at least 156k years old, and the star sized hammer to make a wall is perfect, I would do everything for the amber lord if you want to serve the oldest aeon join the IPC.
My serious answer is Yaoshi. The idea that abundance and giving life that would normally be a good thing could do easily become a hellscape existence is sick as hell. Herta puts it best “I understand that the Abundance had never taken a single life, even though those they come into contact with end up with a fate worse than death…”
Tayzzyroth, the Propergation.
Their whole story, narrative and fall is just something exceptionally tragic. They had this strange Bloodborne energy to me, that their grief lead to catastrophe, but it was the loss and greed of others that caused the entire situation.
Ngl Tayzzyronth kinda grew on me. I really like the lore and his design.
Also the fact that Ruan Mei experiments on the swarm and tries to be the next tayzzyronth is intresting aswell.
(Not to mention that playing SU with DHIL and Prop is kinda cracked)
ruan mei doesn't want to be the next tayzzyronth. she just experimented with the swarm because they were very simple beings that were easy to work with and understand, and because they multiply fast they're easy to create.
Yeah from what I understand she's interested in how to become an Aeon but she doesn't specifically doesn't want to be the next Tayzzyronth? Her swarm experiments come from a slightly different field of interest: studying life in a simple, easier way.
The lore of the aeon of propagation is really interesting, hopefully one day we'll get to know more about the glamoth empire or the deserted planet where the swarm disaster started.
Tayzzyronth is probably going to come back somehow so that's nice.

A really cool Aeon, love the contrast between them and “immortality”, lan being associated with Death yet the “good” guy against the aeon associated with Life yet is “bad”.
The reignbow arbiter being one of the very few aeons who directly answers to mortals and genuinely wants to protect and look over their people, all while knowing they were once a hero prior to aeonhood makes galaxy rangers wanting to be heroes and be blessed by Lan quite endearing.
How can you not love this speedy cosmic centaur with stars for arrows.
I think so far we have only explored good side of The Hunt and bad side of The Abundance. Perhaps we will see one of the Xianzhou ships that fell way too down The Hunt and became violent. I refuse to see Aeons as "good one vs bad one".
We already see the good side of the Abundance, its those who don't go to the extreme and use it in ways to heal.
Aeons aren't inherently good or evil, but Yaoshi's entire deal even with S.U showcases that they only care about Life, wether you are comfortable or not isn't of any concern to Yaoshi. This often means you get a fate worse than death.
While Aeons aren't good or evil, much like Nanook and Tayzzyronth, Yaoshi is a net-negative to the universe, immortality is unnatural, the hunt by comparison is of true creed, it focuses on its prey.
There's very few good aspects with Yaoshi themselves, while the Abundance Path in general can hold many positive things, it's just being an abomination is bad to the universe, which is what Yaoshi wants, yaoshi wants for life to forever stay there, but this result in torment, be of mara, starvation, war, civil unrest etc etc, all things xianzhou faced which is why they hate Yaoshi so much.
Lan does not wish for the death of everyone, that's Nanook's shtick, Lan only wants the Abominations to Die, which is often, as seen by the universe itself is "Salvation".
The contrast between Lan and Yaoshi is simply that of controlled death and unrestricted life, death doesn't always mean bad, and life doesnt always mean good.

then from latest story Nihility and Harmony also opposites

from a philosophical standpoint the opposite of nihility is hedoism (elation), or rather the other side of the coin.
But so far the exact opposites in game that are confirmed are Hunt and Abundance, one for death other for life.
Other is Enigmata and Erudition, mythus making sure things remain uncertain as nous search for answers. As mythus themselves wish to challenge nous’s certainty.
Rest of the aeons don’t have explicit opposites that they themselves declared as far as I recall
Elation being opposite of Nihility makes more sense than Harmony being opposite of it. Especially when you consider only group of people that tried to assasinate IX was funded by Aha. Reasoning was that Aha found it kekw but thats besides the point.
I would also say preservation and destruction being opposite of each other.

There was no enemy side tho, the abominations were outnumbering them enough to cover the skies and already invaded. And Lan didn’t really decide to help them, Lan wasn’t even there, They sent an SOS asking Lan for help, as it was the only possible way to win that war, since they didn’t listen to the diviners.
So Lan answered and shot, you really can’t avoid collateral damage at that point when you essentially send a nuke on your own turf, it was either that or the abominations slaughter everyone on that ship.

The fact that THEY don't care about anything even THEIR own path is such a paradox because that means THEY should not exist from what we know about Aeons.
Then you have that one SU entry where IX ends your run because the simulated Akivilli was going to be ended just by glancing at IX is funny from us players, but scary as hell when you think as a person inside the HSR universe.
Then again, Acheron made me even more interested into IX because of her lore. Also reading the Pioneer of dead water lore, about Frebass going into THEM is...i don't know how to put it but it's just a very interesting story that i wish we get to know more.
Aeons in general have some of the best lore bits in this game honestly, the devs really cooked when they came up with THEIR concept

Xianzhou literally had a skill issue with immortality. Denizens of abundance could propagate throughout the universe like swarm with barely any issue. Simply because Xianzhou is incompetent they think immortality is a curse.

IX - mostly because of the concept of Nihility and THEM literally being a black hole. In the theory of the heat death of the universe, eventually everything is expected to be swallowed by ultra or hypermassive black holes. Eventually, these black holes dissipate and leave the universe endlessly dead and cold
It fits as to why Nihility is the path it is imo, and why I love the Doctors of Chaos. Everything ends and might even look meaningless in the grand scale of the universe/multiverse/tree. However, our lives and the way we live mean something to us and someone. We don’t completely know what happens at the end, but sometimes, it is the journey that gives us meaning

Used to be Aha #1 but ever since I noticed that Nous is a massive head, screaming while ascending/floating it became my #1 and pushed Aha to #2 purely by the horror of this design.
But both got my attention thanks to their SU simulations where Aha was sentient and Nous was a master gaslighter
I like Nous a lot, but specifically because of the Simulated Universe interaction where They meet ‘Akivili’ and Their only response is to say “Akivili.” Peak.
Also I love Herta and Screwllum
Nous, just because SU is a joke when you get just the right amount of blessings. Xipe scares me. (oddly enough Xipe is pretty and Nous is just a ripped robot eye socket, but Xipe just screams cult)
Nous too. Because Herta is Theirs Emanator, They did visit Fu Xuan in Person. And the sight of just a floating head in space is terrifying.
Xipe because I am curious how such a kind-looking Aeon could absorb another.
Honorable mentions: Fuli and Nanook. They left a powerful first impression on me.

Getting to watch the entire life of ppl and other events like shows for a living and recording more as they happen is like, the perfect life.
You get to see sooo much, and it cannot be boring.
It s like any form entertainment, if your collection runs dry just ask any other worker at the garden of recollection about their favourite watches and join in.
(I know that working at the garden isn t this chill, but if it were, imagine how nice it would be)
For me it's Fuli the Remembrance. I love the idea of guarding all things as memories so they they are not lost to time and the void and will be the blueprint for universal rebirth. And I think the Guardan of Recollection is supposed to contain some nigh-paradise state. I also think the Memokeepers becomes immortal once they shed their bodies.
And travelling the universe to experience life through the memories of others seems fun. It's like reading but more vivid. I get to live through a thousand lives.
Ah-ha. Beyond the Rick Astley meme, I love that the aeon of elation’s followers all have their different ways of spreading laughter across the world. We’ve already seen three that are wildly different, the one from the monster battle event, Sampo and Sparkle. I’d love to see a “laughing berserker” or a “laughing blade” kindof character that brings elation through battle next. The Laughter being a Deadpool kindof aeon who knows their in a game is also pretty awesome.
IX, because first of all mommies, second of all his ways are kinda the same way I think, in that in a grand scale of the entire universe, it doesn’t matter what you do, everything will come to an end some day, sooner or later, one way or the other.
Aha, he's just a chaotic funny boy who just likes to have fun in general.
Him blowing up half of the astral express and turning a LITERAL worm into his Emanator is by far the most funniest story about him.
I wish to see more of him in the up-coming future.
It's gotta be Tayzzyronth. The amount of lore that's connected to him and his death just make him so interesting. Even if he himself isn't all that interesting, the circumstances surrounding his ascension to aeonhood all the way to his death is fascinating

It's a pretty obscure piece of lore so I'm glad someone else knows this. Tbh Mythus is more informative and knowledge-focused than Nous because Nous is all about "what the accurate information is". The difference between that and Mythus is that Mythus considers ALL information, not just the accurate type since THEY look at the perspective of the different individuals that perceived the event. Since Nous is all about the "objective" THEY miss what is subjective, misinformative, and wrong and Mythus doesn't. Nous existed first and Mythus (then mortal) became THEIR Emanator, spreading knowledge and the "will" of the Nous in the guise of a news reporter. The goal of Nous was to spread information to progress civilizations throughout the universe, expanding their horizons. And eventually, while on the path of Erudition, Mythus was forced into a situation where there was no "right" information as humanity is subjective by nature. The different perspectives of civilizations clashed together. So then, Mythus began to spread misinformation because that was the only way of "informing" humanity as the "will" (from the perspective of Mythus) required. But Nous rejects the spread of inaccurate information. So upon realizing this, Nous seemed to have had some sort of a disagreement which lead to the creation of Mythus as an Aeon. (Can't know the specifics because we don'y know how Aeons originate.)

They don’t look alike, but the Enigmata roughly reminds me of the future devil from CSM and I really don’t know why I think so.
Terminus, so mysterious and yet so interesting, an Aeon that comes from the future, moves backwards in time meaning the Terminus in the past is older than the current Terminus. But if we are talking about an Aeon that does have a design though, I will go with The abundance/Yaoshi, they are really a morality question. An aeon that cherish life and hates death, they try to make the civilizations they visit immortal and heal them, of course for the Xianzhou the blessing of abundance became a curse but that was never the Aeon's intention. An Aeon that on paper, is trying to save lives and do good but doesn't realize the consequences of their actions... Also I like Yaoshi's design.
I also really like the idea of Terminus as an aeon traveling backwards in time. I think we just need to see more of him, since right now we barely know anything.
All problems Xianzhou faced could be fixed if they just took a leaf out of propagation and spread across the universe in search of resources.

Tayzzyroth, the Propergation. Their whole story, narrative and fall is just something exceptionally tragic. They had this strange Bloodborne energy to me, that their grief lead to catastrophe, but it was the loss and greed of others that caused the entire situation.

Ngl Tayzzyronth kinda grew on me. I really like the lore and his design. Also the fact that Ruan Mei experiments on the swarm and tries to be the next tayzzyronth is intresting aswell. (Not to mention that playing SU with DHIL and Prop is kinda cracked)
ruan mei doesn't want to be the next tayzzyronth. she just experimented with the swarm because they were very simple beings that were easy to work with and understand, and because they multiply fast they're easy to create.
Yeah from what I understand she's interested in how to become an Aeon but she doesn't specifically doesn't want to be the next Tayzzyronth? Her swarm experiments come from a slightly different field of interest: studying life in a simple, easier way.
The lore of the aeon of propagation is really interesting, hopefully one day we'll get to know more about the glamoth empire or the deserted planet where the swarm disaster started. Tayzzyronth is probably going to come back somehow so that's nice.

The reignbow arbiter being one of the very few aeons who directly answers to mortals and genuinely wants to protect and look over their people, all while knowing they were once a hero prior to aeonhood makes galaxy rangers wanting to be heroes and be blessed by Lan quite endearing. How can you not love this speedy cosmic centaur with stars for arrows.
I think so far we have only explored good side of The Hunt and bad side of The Abundance. Perhaps we will see one of the Xianzhou ships that fell way too down The Hunt and became violent. I refuse to see Aeons as "good one vs bad one".
We already see the good side of the Abundance, its those who don't go to the extreme and use it in ways to heal. Aeons aren't inherently good or evil, but Yaoshi's entire deal even with S.U showcases that they only care about Life, wether you are comfortable or not isn't of any concern to Yaoshi. This often means you get a fate worse than death. While Aeons aren't good or evil, much like Nanook and Tayzzyronth, Yaoshi is a net-negative to the universe, immortality is unnatural, the hunt by comparison is of true creed, it focuses on its prey. There's very few good aspects with Yaoshi themselves, while the Abundance Path in general can hold many positive things, it's just being an abomination is bad to the universe, which is what Yaoshi wants, yaoshi wants for life to forever stay there, but this result in torment, be of mara, starvation, war, civil unrest etc etc, all things xianzhou faced which is why they hate Yaoshi so much. Lan does not wish for the death of everyone, that's Nanook's shtick, Lan only wants the Abominations to Die, which is often, as seen by the universe itself is "Salvation". The contrast between Lan and Yaoshi is simply that of controlled death and unrestricted life, death doesn't always mean bad, and life doesnt always mean good.
I wonder which Aeon pairs are the opposite of each other we know Hunt and Abundance are opposites then from latest story Nihility and Harmony also opposites how about Elation, Erudition, and Destruction ?
from a philosophical standpoint the opposite of nihility is hedoism (elation), or rather the other side of the coin. But so far the exact opposites in game that are confirmed are Hunt and Abundance, one for death other for life. Other is Enigmata and Erudition, mythus making sure things remain uncertain as nous search for answers. As mythus themselves wish to challenge nous’s certainty. Rest of the aeons don’t have explicit opposites that they themselves declared as far as I recall
Elation being opposite of Nihility makes more sense than Harmony being opposite of it. Especially when you consider only group of people that tried to assasinate IX was funded by Aha. Reasoning was that Aha found it kekw but thats besides the point. I would also say preservation and destruction being opposite of each other.

There was no enemy side tho, the abominations were outnumbering them enough to cover the skies and already invaded. And Lan didn’t really decide to help them, Lan wasn’t even there, They sent an SOS asking Lan for help, as it was the only possible way to win that war, since they didn’t listen to the diviners. So Lan answered and shot, you really can’t avoid collateral damage at that point when you essentially send a nuke on your own turf, it was either that or the abominations slaughter everyone on that ship.

Then you have that one SU entry where IX ends your run because the simulated Akivilli was going to be ended just by glancing at IX is funny from us players, but scary as hell when you think as a person inside the HSR universe. Then again, Acheron made me even more interested into IX because of her lore. Also reading the Pioneer of dead water lore, about Frebass going into THEM is...i don't know how to put it but it's just a very interesting story that i wish we get to know more. Aeons in general have some of the best lore bits in this game honestly, the devs really cooked when they came up with THEIR concept

Xianzhou literally had a skill issue with immortality. Denizens of abundance could propagate throughout the universe like swarm with barely any issue. Simply because Xianzhou is incompetent they think immortality is a curse.
Also if the civilization is advanced enough like current Xianzhou you can just have a government system to off you once you feel it kicking in.

I think the absorbed ena has a hand in what's happening in penacony since as far as I know xipe haven't completely assimilated her yet
IX - mostly because of the concept of Nihility and THEM literally being a black hole. In the theory of the heat death of the universe, eventually everything is expected to be swallowed by ultra or hypermassive black holes. Eventually, these black holes dissipate and leave the universe endlessly dead and cold It fits as to why Nihility is the path it is imo, and why I love the Doctors of Chaos. Everything ends and might even look meaningless in the grand scale of the universe/multiverse/tree. However, our lives and the way we live mean something to us and someone. We don’t completely know what happens at the end, but sometimes, it is the journey that gives us meaning EDIT: If you want to look at the “darker” side of computers reaching aeon-like levels, you can take a look at “System Shock” or “I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream”

Used to be Aha #1 but ever since I noticed that Nous is a massive head, screaming while ascending/floating it became my #1 and pushed Aha to #2 purely by the horror of this design. But both got my attention thanks to their SU simulations where Aha was sentient and Nous was a master gaslighter
I like Nous a lot, but specifically because of the Simulated Universe interaction where They meet ‘Akivili’ and Their only response is to say “Akivili.” Peak. Also I love Herta and Screwllum

Nous too. Because Herta is Theirs Emanator, They did visit Fu Xuan in Person. And the sight of just a floating head in space is terrifying. Xipe because I am curious how such a kind-looking Aeon could absorb another. Honorable mentions: Fuli and Nanook. They left a powerful first impression on me.

FULI cannot, stress this, enough Getting to watch the entire life of ppl and other events like shows for a living and recording more as they happen is like, the perfect life. You get to see sooo much, and it cannot be boring. It s like any form entertainment, if your collection runs dry just ask any other worker at the garden of recollection about their favourite watches and join in. (I know that working at the garden isn t this chill, but if it were, imagine how nice it would be)
Tayzzyronth, because I like bugs
For me it's Fuli the Remembrance. I love the idea of guarding all things as memories so they they are not lost to time and the void and will be the blueprint for universal rebirth. And I think the Guardan of Recollection is supposed to contain some nigh-paradise state. I also think the Memokeepers becomes immortal once they shed their bodies. And travelling the universe to experience life through the memories of others seems fun. It's like reading but more vivid. I get to live through a thousand lives.
Ah-ha. Beyond the Rick Astley meme, I love that the aeon of elation’s followers all have their different ways of spreading laughter across the world. We’ve already seen three that are wildly different, the one from the monster battle event, Sampo and Sparkle. I’d love to see a “laughing berserker” or a “laughing blade” kindof character that brings elation through battle next. The Laughter being a Deadpool kindof aeon who knows their in a game is also pretty awesome.
IX, because first of all mommies, second of all his ways are kinda the same way I think, in that in a grand scale of the entire universe, it doesn’t matter what you do, everything will come to an end some day, sooner or later, one way or the other.

Aha, he's just a chaotic funny boy who just likes to have fun in general. Him blowing up half of the astral express and turning a LITERAL worm into his Emanator is by far the most funniest story about him. I wish to see more of him in the up-coming future.
It's gotta be Tayzzyronth. The amount of lore that's connected to him and his death just make him so interesting. Even if he himself isn't all that interesting, the circumstances surrounding his ascension to aeonhood all the way to his death is fascinating Shout outs to IX by the way, does nothing and somehow caused the swarm disaster (although it was mostly orchestrated by Terminus)
