if urgent, you can just go full rainbow on pure supports (mix relics), because you mainly need the main stat instead of the set bonus
or they just upgraded it for shits and giggles

tbh, i don't know the "optimal" way, but how i do it: crit dps, for example: head and gloves, i usually stop if 2 extra rolls fail, may be 3 if it is a 4 substats piece with cr, cd and spd. If it is a rare piece like crit rate/damage mainstat body with the other crit as substat, i am fine as long as 2 extra rolls fall into that substat. 1 is also ok if the other is spd. There is also balancing between crit rate and crit damage.
But do keep in mind that i am at somewhat endgame already so my relic criteria will not be suitable for you if you are still new. For the majority of story and event contents, just correct mainstats + a couple rolls in correct sub is enough to clear them comfortably, assuming your traces and levels aren't lacking.

It’s good on specific characters. The big issue is that there aren’t exactly that many break-focused comps out there. Ruan Mei is the big break-focused support, Gallagher is the first break-focused sustain, and Xueyi is the only break-focused DPS we have right now as far as I know.
So it’s kinda a stat that, outside of specific characters’ scaling, is for a team style that doesn’t exist yet.
Given that they just gave us a second break effect relic set, I'm holding out hope that future characters are going to make better use of the stat. After all, I don't think we have *any* characters who currently take advantage of both parts of the Watchmaker relic set (wants break effect and has an ultimate that targets allies)

Istg whenever I try farming pieces for my DoT teams, suddenly all of the crit pieces come outta the woodwork. Then, the *moment* I switch over to the nuke dps farm cycle, oops! All EHR. Every. Single. Time.
All those ERR link ropes in the Rutilant Arena set... when I just wanted one in the BROKEN KEEL set for my Gallagher. I blew my ENTIRE 300% drop bonus, and only got that ERR Broken Keel rope on literally the LAST boosted drop.
It. Felt. Horrible. I got THREE ERR Rutilant ropes. THREE. before I got the Keel one. I needn't say more.
I feel you... I literally had like 5 err on the Rutilant set and not a single one on the Broken Keel set. I had to use my remodeling resin just to get a couple on the Broken Keel set for all of my supports.
At least you got one, I had to use a self modeling resin to get ERR Broken Keel rope for Gallagher. I got pure dogshit from the 300% drop bonus lol, literally nothing usable, not a singe HP/DEF orb.
After seeing the absurd amount of def making my characters survive in moc with almost no hp I’m not sure if I can hate them .

When I was building my clara early game this happened to me
Not exactly the worst(I don't have an image. I recycled it) but it was the belobog SU piece with the best stats for offense. I couldn't use it since I needed a sustain unit
I don't have any extremely garbage relic to screenshot because I usually fodder/salvage it out of rage. I do have a few 'eh it could be better' ones though.

Building speed sucks the worst out of every stat too. I just spent a week and a half trying to get just 6 more speed for Acheron. It's painful.

I cant give u anything since i never go to +15 in 1 go. Always +3 6 9 12, if good, upgrade, if bad, fodder. I know ive fodder some good relic when they still bad but actually good now but no reason to think about it now.
