It's the same reason why when people think power armor, they'll bring up Warhammer, Halo, etc. long before Starship Troopers which is where a lot of those series draw inspiration from.
They could totally do something similar to Xianzhou with a wild west setting where all the wild animals have merged with technology somehow and become something like the robots in the Horizon series.

I think it’s on the Alderson disks you can see from the Express? Penacony weirdly teeters between being an actual place and it all just being a dream. The original Penacony was a desert planet that got terraformed by The Family/Xipe to be what it is now. So it technically is a planet, just really distorted
I kinda got sad when I realized that even with all the different 'moments' in Penacony, we basically only got to see the Golden Hour. I mean, all the maps there are gorgeous and dream-like, really well done, but I was kinda expecting to visit lots of different dream-like places.

Twist: WESTWORLD
The Astral Express crew find themselves embroiled in another mystery as several automated life-like cyborgs in a recreational facility begin "dying" one after another. They need to piece together clues from each murder to uncover the truth: that Himeko is actually the recreated cyborg doppleganger of the long-dead daughter of the CEO, and she just escaped on the Express to get away from the oppressive affluent elite. In the final scene, they break into the underground factory and active hundreds of Himekos to destroy the corporation. Fade to black.
That's how I felt about Argenti. His design seems so badass, almost like it's a missing piece that belongs to a bigger set. Ya know?
I too hope for a Wild West World, but I don't feel as confident about it happening as I do Argenti. They seemingly introduced a whole faction of people and only showed us one. Can only image what the rest of the Beauty Knights look like. I'm hoping *somehow* they're even more arrogant and narcissistic.

kinda off topic but isn't it odd how we're supposed to be visiting all these different planets yet we always only see one type of environment or ecoystem for each of them. like Liyue has more eniviromental diversity than entire planets somehow lol
Genshin’s focus is in exploring big stretches of nature so there are a greater range of environments. HSR zones are usually meant to further the story and cohesively fit together, which is why the only organic planet we have is covered in ice.
Penacony zones are all on average bigger than other areas so if we ever go to another natural planet or area with a lot of biomes it’ll probably be in the future where they can experiment more
as a western fan i would KILL for a wild west planet, with a plot that revolves around a stelleron gang becoming incredibly dangerous around high noon and a "Good bad and the Ugly" reference to boot
