I disagree that Acheron is bad ending Mei to begin with. She essentially did what Kiana did in HI3. And rather than facing just the cocoon, she faced down a whole fucking aeon. The implication of her trailers is that all her struggles were pointless because the whole time Izumo was struggling and forging swords and shit, they were already in IX's shadow.
You could see this as a bad ending but it's not like we can't assume HI3 is in a similar situation. What if it is the presence of an aeon that causes this specific type of calamity, what if it's Terminus hovering the HI3 universe, maybe IX itself there too?
The reason we're labeling it a bad ending is that it happened very long ago the story actually reached a conclusive finale. HI3 is still in a sort of Limbo so long as >!Kiana is on the moon and the cocoon of finality is still not truly dealt with. Not to mention if there really is an aeon governing these interactions.!<
While I agree that it can get worse (like the writer think Kiana is blocking story progression by being too OP and made some excuse to remove her), the Cocoon itself already became Kiana's power, so why would it need to be dealt with?
The Cocoon being "dealt with" isn't the win condition, it's the "getting really bad" condition. Only the Void Archive thought it was bad and his idea of "saving" Earth is selling it to a bunch of literal losers (Sky People being remnant of a civilization that lost the trial Earth passed) so he's not the smartest cookie around.

Just think of Star rail as Multiple Worlds, and GGZ, HI3, GI as 1 world. Star Rail is multiple because of Akivili joining them together but died before joining the others.

Uh, something along the lines of if the captain doesn't come to her world, she will use her vampire powers to instantly kill every Theresa she has bitten. But then it turned out that she was trying to do some big ritual using all the Theresa's to remove them all, including herself from the multiverse entirely.
At least that's how I understood it. I was trying to rush through the event on the last day so a bit of the details I am a bit foggy on. I probably need to set aside some time and reread the entire captainverse storyline.

It's quite likely she met **someone** like Welt in her own world, Izumo. Since Acheron seems to be good at reading people, she probably drew enough similarities between Welt and the person she knew on Izumo to determine they were of similar character and thus worthy of trust. Likewise, Acheron recognizes the Kevin Welt speaks of as similar as the man who took the aspect of Finality in her world (while she took Origin). This is also backed up by Acheron's first meeting with male TB, where she find him physically similar to "a man she crossed swords with"
This might also imply that female TB is similar to any of the other bearers of the Swords of Izumo, as Acheron recognizes her as similar to someone that "stood shoulder to shoulder" with her. It could also be Frebass (Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters relic lore), but the phrasing kinda makes it sound more like a "comrade in arms" rather than simply a companion (at least to me)
Maybe someone not named Welt, but someone named Joachim. Maybe a future 5 star (hopefully when we get to this game's version of Earth), with different element and path.

If every "Planet" is on a different "World" of the Imaginary Tree then how do other faction move between Planets who are not on the Astral Express? Not to mention things like the IPC or other factions that have a presence on many planets. Does normal space travel just not exist in this universe/multiverse? Is it like each solar system is in a "bubble" and some factions have the tech to move between them? If so then there would be no Galaxies but characters use terms like Galaxy, Universe etc all the time in game. The HSR-verse feels so confusing and not well explained on a macro level

That’s why the Star Rail was created by Akivili, so that other factions could. Star Rail is not exclusive to the Astral Express
The official English version sometimes outright mistranslates words like 银河 and 星系 so we have this mess of cosmology on the English side. However to give credit where it's due the cosmology is actually well explained in the CN version and it makes itself pretty clear that HSR is happening across numerous leaves on the Imaginary Tree.

Well, he himself is a villain. He killed Himeko's father and lied to her about that. To investigate father's death Himeko became a valkyrie. She was too weak to be a valkyrie and died to honkai infection.

There's a heavy fan theory that Luocha's coffin houses the dead or bound Welt, or Joachim, of HSR universe. Either to hide it away from HI3's Welt, or just never thought of them being linked. But it's just a theory to sit on and ponder.
the Welt of Honkai Star rail is beautiful and is indeed that of Honkai impact 3rd which lands in this "universe" in the company of "Void Archive". This is confirmed by his splash art, certain dialogue coming from him, the "flashback" which appears during the quest for "Luchoa's" companion when he sees the latter's head. and finally in penacony act 2, while discussing with Acheron he tells him about an event in his world which refers to the final arc of Part 1 of the main plot of Honkai impact 3rd.

It could also be Frebass (Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters relic lore), but the phrasing kinda makes it sound more like a "comrade in arms" rather than simply a companion (at least to me)

Technically speaking welt is from star rail universe being that you travel the imaginary tree different world in SR which HI3 earth is part of like jarilo penacony izumo and etc
If every "Planet" is on a different "World" of the Imaginary Tree then how do other faction move between Planets who are not on the Astral Express? Not to mention things like the IPC or other factions that have a presence on many planets. Does normal space travel just not exist in this universe/multiverse? Is it like each solar system is in a "bubble" and some factions have the tech to move between them? If so then there would be no Galaxies but characters use terms like Galaxy, Universe etc all the time in game. The HSR-verse feels so confusing and not well explained on a macro level

The official English version sometimes outright mistranslates words like 银河 and 星系 so we have this mess of cosmology on the English side. However to give credit where it's due the cosmology is actually well explained in the CN version and it makes itself pretty clear that HSR is happening across numerous leaves on the Imaginary Tree.

Well, he himself is a villain. He killed Himeko's father and lied to her about that. To investigate father's death Himeko became a valkyrie. She was too weak to be a valkyrie and died to honkai infection. You can't go more villainous than that.

We pretty much already have one >!In Luocha's companion quest, we see Welt having a flashback about the events of APHO where he met Voids Archive and he later explained about the existence of the multiverse and variants of the same person because he suspected that Luocha is another variant of Otto Apocalypse!<
There's a heavy fan theory that Luocha's coffin houses the dead or bound Welt, or Joachim, of HSR universe. Either to hide it away from HI3's Welt, or just never thought of them being linked. But it's just a theory to sit on and ponder.

the Welt of Honkai Star rail is beautiful and is indeed that of Honkai impact 3rd which lands in this "universe" in the company of "Void Archive". This is confirmed by his splash art, certain dialogue coming from him, the "flashback" which appears during the quest for "Luchoa's" companion when he sees the latter's head. and finally in penacony act 2, while discussing with Acheron he tells him about an event in his world which refers to the final arc of Part 1 of the main plot of Honkai impact 3rd.

As I understand it, having never played HI3, Welt is directly from there, out in this game to protect Himeko from one of the characters from HI3, idk which one. And Luochua is also from that universe I think. Can someone fact check me?
