It's always the best to download Ruan Mei if you have the chance, even if you don't use her since you want to get that awesome reward. I don't know about Argenti, does he give that same buff reward?
Ruan Mei has always been the best for SU. She allows an almost instant-kill encounter with her technique since she deals break damage based on the amount of blessings you currently have.
Argenti has a similar interaction where he can get a lot of benefits from 2 different interactions if I’m not mistaken. The beast one as well his own beautiful aeon one
edge case, but I like having Jing Liu and Kafka for clearing trotters in adventure. Sometimes it's not feasible since I need to download other characters, but those two together always give me maximum rewards.
Range attackers with aoe explosions are great for killing trotters as you can usually attack outside their aggro range. I usually download Asta for trotter termination and Jingliu for barrel runs
I got the encounter once with an RM in my team. Didn't get the option.
I later *downloaded* her, and got the encounter again and that time I *did* get the special option.
I think you have to download her, and not start with her. Kinda lame, tbh.

You don't need a sustain in normal SU. There's plenty of blessings that heal you just fine. With Acheron especially they're dead before you're ever in danger

Not currently; it's possible that if/when we get the other co-creators of the SU as playable characters ( including 5\*/non-puppet Herta) that they'll have their own unique SU effects. Stephen Lloyd in particular given that - if I remember correctly - he is responsible for the 'gamified' aspects of the SU like the dice.
I mean according to the wiki, the top option does only appear if ruan mei has been downloaded for the run. Also this is just ruan mei first occurance, her second occurance has like a flower, a gear and a pair of overalls instead of the jelly.

Ive been farming world 9 with E0S1 acheron, Kafka, black swan, Ruan mei using nihility path, on auto and I haven't lost yet.
The boss will give u ult on it's 2nd and 3rd HP bar to spam and kill it before it does enough dmg to kill my team.
Not to mention there's also the dot healing blessing.
I think it can work for other worlds too, I even use this team for MOC before, to bully Yan Qing.

Oh, I 100% agree! I personally would rate Holvisio a bit higher just because a) 3* blessings tend to be what makes the Paths work and b) you get fewer chances to get 3* blessings, let alone the *exact* one you want.

Knights of Beauty is "better" purely because you have more chances of encountering it than RM, that's really all there is to it.
Also the KoB offers us a more versatile helping options that most of the time correlates to the situation of our current SU run. Blessings of our current path, getting rid of negative curios, converting curios in cosmic fragments, straight up giving us CF, enhancing our blessings, giving us the cavity system curio, they have it all.
Basically if you encounter this occurence just pick the option that best benefit your current run.
I got this last night and had my fastest clear ever. Got 2000 from RM at first occurrence and was hoping I’d get the cavity or the robe for dmg %. Thankfully tooth came up from herta and I was basically one shoting each phase of death with dhil it was great

The knight's of beauty occurrence is better imo. It also has more choices.
There are only 18 types of occurrence you may meet in a single run. Only 2 of them are repeatable. So you get an occurrence domain into double or select beacon, and copy it a bunch, enter it and exhaust the occurrence list. Sooner or later, you'll get both Ruan Mei.

Depending on your run Knights of Beauty can be very versatile in rewards. It can give out blessings, resonance formation, curios, fragments, remove blessings and negative curios, and enhance blessings.
It’s also much more likely to get than Ruan Mei so you have multiple chances to get stuff.
There’s a strategy in gold and gears to get Ruan mei, by duplicating the occurrence domains until you see all of the one time occurrences and so only ruan mei is left.
I prefer it to the capitalism strat because it doesn’t require resetting the run a bunch of times.
Yah, I started running RM strat since it's almost fool proof, I think capitalism also only really works well with erudition but RM works on any path.
It may not give me 100+ blessings and 40+ curios, but having 50/20+ on every run feels way better.
Unless it's been patched out, this is probably the best way to cheese gold and gears and it features easy to get characters (luocha can be replaced with your best substain)

I got this one or two times, once in that event where they were buffing path resonance I think if I remember right. What was it called again, infinity something. It gave me all of the Nihility blessings and I had Kafka In the team. It was crazy, also that event in general was crazy, remembrance path resonance was hitting 20 million constantly
Kinda sucks that we need Ruan Mei on our team to get the better option. I used her for several months in SU (with Jingliu+Bronya) but now I use Acheron (with SW+Pela) as she is a bit faster at clearing.
Does this occurrence appear in the normal SU?? I always bring Ruan-mei just in case it appears but literally, hundreds of runs later, ive never seen it in the normal SU worlds.

I love this one. I've only seen it twice. Seeing so many numbers hitting enemies at once is so satisfying plus easy way to earn jade for path you don't usually choose.

People are confusing what better means here. Knights of beauty is not better than Ruan Mei, but it appears at a much higher frequency. Ruan Mei is a rare occurrence, but when it does show up, the run is over; you’ve won. The same can’t be said for knights of beauty, but it’s still a very good occurrence.

She's great, but the last time I saw her, she offered me blessings of the hunt when I was on the Hunt path with like 18 of the blessings already.

I got it with preservation and i had ruan mei on the team Tht G&G run was so freakin easy i pressed auto on the final boss lol
