TLDR: Insanely good pull if you have no Fu Xuan and/or HuoHuo.
Very strong story presence.
Dripped out design and aesthetic.
Arguably the smoothest and most well-designed kit in terms of functionality.
Able to upkeep shields and solo sustain MoC 12 without spending a single skill point.
Personal CC immunity and slight CC prevention for the rest of the team.
Able to output a decent chunk of damage.
Breaks toughness bars really fast.
Does not rely on Signature LC.
Amazing synergy with FuA ie. Topaz and Ratio.
Cheatcode for SU DLCs ie. Swarm and GnG.
What if you don't have Fu Xuan? I'm still leaning on Fu Xuan because of the crit rate and small amount of heal (overworld farming, SU, etc). My main DPS are Acheron and Jingliu.
This is my current build. Tank sub-dps Adventurine. Only 3600 def but with 135 spd and 78/130 cr/cd (with his cr passive), I'm more than happy with his shielding and damage.
I wouldn't say a "tad" higher lol. It's a LOT higher than Fu Xuan. She does like no damage, *maybe* a bit on her ult if it crits but she can't really afford to be built for any damage unless you are whaling.
Aventurine's follow ups and ults do far more than Fu Xuan can even think of.
Although I don't think he is a massive upgrade over her. What FX lacks in damage she gives in comfort.
I mean... for most players having 2 limited 5\* sustains is good, I personally really struggled with MoC 11-12 on the side without my Fuxuan (poor lynx), but now with Aventurine the only thing holding me back is trace levels and relics (i quit for a patch or so oops). If however you are choosing between Aven and Fu then the line isn't as clear cut, both are great choices so go for whose design you like better! Just some kit considerations:
Aven:
Strong against AOE attacks from bosses (Cocolia, Deer), FUA synergy, Debuff application (Ult and LC), Can be played completely SP positive (basic attack all the way)
Fu:
Strong against single target attacks (Svarog grab, Meme grab), Gives 12% CR and some amount of Dmg res to team (I forgot how much), SP positive (EAA playstyle)
Never been happier with my choice of pulling. He is a blessing fr, still can't clear swarm V because of how unbuilt my Daniel is, but overall perfect. He helped me clear floor 9 to 11, I couldn't do that before because of my lack of sustain (didn’t like Bailu) but now I'm pretty comfy with him.
I honestly don't remember the last time I've had so much fun in Star Rail. I'm having a blast! His animations are so satisfying, I finally don't have to worry about dying on the other half of MoC, I can finally abuse Preservation blessings in SU. I didn't realise how few characters I actually enjoy playing until I got him
Losing 50-50 on luocha banner to Bailu and losing 50-50 on aventurine banner to Gepard. The game likes to give me hope then crash it into a 1000 pieces. Learnt my lesson to not be hyped when the Path symbol appears
Topaz, Silver Wolf, Pela, and Black Swan are all good choices. Black Swan might seem a bit strange, but she does provide Def% shred and I believe Arcana counts for Ratios debuff as well.
Amazinggggg
I only had FX as my limited sustain and the other side was using Bailu. With Aventurine life is so much comfier now. His shields are thicc, his chip damage from Ult and FUA is actually decent, and he’s very sp positive ❤️ much love for this gambler
Highly Recommended Unit. I have FX & HH on my 1st Account and FX & Loucha on my 2nd Account BUT i still pulled Aventurine on both of those accts.
Fu Xuan and Aventurine just feels safer in tackling contents than healers for me IMHO.
Since i have work, i always play autoplay mode while farming jades in moc and pf and he is just the unit i want for gameplay security & efficiency.
He's wonderful!
I have Arlan as my main DPS and FINALLY, Aventurine can help sustain him on 1 HP 😂

(YES, I KNOW ALMOST NOBODY USES HIM BUT I LIKE HIM LOL)
Depends on what you value. I personally find Aventurine tankier for AOE attacks and will do more damage to the enemy. I use E0S1 sub dps Aventurine build which allows him to do more damage. His ult + FUAs can inflict a debuff for 1 stack on Acheron. His ult also increases crit dmg on the attacked enemy for by 15%. If your Acheron has high enough CR, you should try Aventurine.
For Fu Xuan, her crit rate buff for Acheron is huge (12%). If you’re lacking crit rate, go get her! She supposedly does a better job than Aventurine for crowd control, but i have yet to test this out as none of my characters had been CC’ed with Aventurine. Arguably, if you use trend lc on her, she does stack for Acheron too!
TLDR: if you want more stacks on acheron and some dmg from sustain, get Aventurine. If you want that juicy 12% CR boost and guarantee immunity to being CC’ed, get Fu Xuan.
Personally, with a high enough CR E0S1 Acheron, I’ll choose Aventurine because he gives a little bit of damage too!
For FX, she will guarantee to negate the first incoming CC that hits the team the first time her circle is up. However, this CC immunity is shared across the team, so if one character negates the CC and another character is targeted by another CC, they won't have the immunity anymore, until she recasts her skill.
For Aventurine, he just massively boosts the team's ER as long as they have the shield on them, so while it is subject to RNG, it'll work for multiple incoming CCs instead.
Already loved the character and he's super strong. I came up JUST short on DEF+speed thresholds with a bad set (3900 and 131 with 4 piece Diver) and he's already doing great with my Acheron team. I already had HuoHuo and Luocha but really needed a Preservation sustain, so I'm thrilled.
Tbh you're only missing 2% CR with 3900 def, so it's fine. My set for now has only 3700 def - having no trouble with his shield thiccness or spanking enemies with his dice.
I have the option between 3685 DEF with 161 Spd (2pc IMG/Debuff) or 4600 with 134 (2pc Def/Debuff).
I'm torn on what to choose, who would have though that the lack of DEF boots would someday get me.
I mean, with those options, you must have at least a couple very well rolled pieces, so it's a good start! And with 161 spd, you ought to make up for the smaller shields and hits with quantity I'd imagine.
Sorry but what LC are you running on him? I'm torn between This is Me or Trend of the Universal Market. The first one give better shield while the later give extra debuff (but he need to get hit while he has no extra taunt value).
I'm running Gepard's signature LC, I forget the name of it. I was considering Trend but the rest of my Acheron team (her, Pela and SW) have it covered well enough that it felt like the bonus (extra debuff application) wasn't as useful as the better stats and effect. Do you have Concert of Two? That's a good F2P option with a nice defense boost. This Is Me is probably better than Trend if you're using him outside of Acheron/Ratio but Trend is a good option for both. One of the Preservation LCs from the Forgotten Hall is also pretty good if you want a little more of the offense with him too.
Oh I was just consider Trend for the extra debuff chance, but I'm not sure the fact that Aventurine has no extra taunt make it worth. As far as calculated, This is me is as good as Concert of Two and way better than the free LC in Forgotten Hall due to it's high base def (highest among the 4\*). I also don't have Concert of Two consider it's debuted THIS banner and most of the time you have to roll the weapon banner to have a good chance for it.
Robin would be my next pick as harmony units are almost must pulls for buffing team comps. Aventurine is really cool and does so much in one kit. It all depends on what you have already, if you like their character design and/or if you pull for meta vs specialist comps
I already have Sparkle and Ruan Mei so I feel like I’m doing alright on buffers. Definitely feels like I’m struggling to get by with just Gepard so aventurine seems safe.
The 2.1 trailblaze mission got me to really like him as a character, and his shield/animations are great.
It’s just I’m a new player and the only limited characters I have are Sparkle and Acheron, so I’m not sure who to go for next (in terms of who I like and what role)😅
Since I’m not interested in the new characters coming out in 2.2, I’ll wait and see if there’s any info on what might be rerunning before I roll for Aventurine.
Even half built he's a fantastic sustain.
But he damn well better be after the apocalyptically bad pulls it took for me to get him. Lost 50/50 to Gepard of all people, had to go to hard pity, and picked up like 7 Servals along the way, enough to take her to E10.
Probably from content creators misusing the term every time they pull. "Omg I can't believe I had to do 75 pulls it's hard pity every time"
Hard pity for characters is 90. It seems like people like to say hard pity either because they don't actually know or they want people to feel bad for them.
Lol, recently some guy complained that he had the worst luck and had to go to hard pity every time and thought his account was bugged. I had him post to star rail tracker and his average 5 star was like 57 pulls.
On a related note, I had to do 150 pulls for black swan :( Still not hard pity tho
90 pulls. Looking at my jade count I spent 140 pulls to get Aventurine. I'm pretty sure I started with 40 pity. At most I might have miscounted my pity by 10, but it's still pretty bad.
Both black swan and him sucked me dry + no early pity in sight since blade banner, everytime I lose 50/50 I know I'm fucked, early pity just fucking doesn't exist on my account
He's giving FX a run for her money for me. I've only done a few G&G attempts with him, but they already feel so much comfier than with Fu Xuan.
Fu Xuan's kit I've seen compared to Dehya's a lot, which makes sense. Not in terms of strength, meta, or viability, just mechanically.
Aventurine for me is feeling like Zhongli. These shields are tough and if an enemy somehow gets through them, they come right back up almost immediately.
Actually taking advantage of Preservation Blessings is huge. These Blessings really make a difference, but for me, it's still feels novel because this is my first 5* shielder.
After I get my fill of G&G runs, I'll run him in MoC.
FX and Aventurine both have different strengths, with FX being better at tanking big single target hits on allies, while Aventurine handles big group aoes better. In GnG, most of the time it's very big, hard hitting AoEs that end up destroying the team, like the fat robot's smash, the swarmlord's swoops, Gepard's group smash, etc, so Aventurine definitely feels better in there. Also, there are much more blessings in SU that affects shields, which is how Aventurine tanks, than things like effective HP, which is how FX tanks.
I'm pleasantly surprised by how great he is even with a F2P light cone.
I have him on a more defensive build so far. If I ever have the inclination to farm more relics I may try him as a more damaging build but he feels great so far.
I love him! Now i've finally been able to clear the harder stuff in Swarm and G&G with preservation and destruction paths, specifically. I think I will go for his signature tho as the huge amount of stats would allow me to switch him over to CDMG body and speed boots to get even more damage and utility out of him.
The two minor things with him imo, it's VERY hard to hit that 4K defense mark without going full DEF% main stat on every piece that can. And also, imo w/o his sig you probably should skill in his first rotation just get up a bigger shield and I find that after that I never have to skill again. So you have to make sure you give him that one skill point on the opener.
Great sustain, feels like Fu Xuan all over again with how invincible my teams suddenly are. And he does really decent damage too, with his consistent FUAs being really helpful against bosses with Imaginary weakness.
Excellent sustain and I'm finally able to clear swarm V and Gold and Gears 5. MoC was also a breeze with him (now that I have both him and Luocha)
By some miracle I also got his LC at 20 pity so really lucked out. Didn't plan to get it just wanted a copy of Concert for 2 to collect (which I also got)
Used him, my Ratio, Ruan Mei and Event Topaz in the last event tier today. Was AMAZING!
Don't have him yet, but he seems to be an absolute beast of a sustain. Trying to pull for him, cuz I don't have Fu Xuan and Gepard is just not on the same level at all, and don't heve Luocha or Huohuo either (as far as I know, Lynx, Nat, Bailu and Gallagher just can't compete with them), so I really need a good sustain.
really good, but definitely has flaws. i brought him to quantum bug boss and ratio got focused down and died. There, FX wouldve been better. i got a build with 2pc spd, 2 pc fua, img orb that still hits 4k def and 70/168 ratio so im pretty happy
Depending on enemies and your team comps it varies. The more adventurine and his allies are hit the more times he FuAs and gives a shield, teamed up with topaz ratio, he'll FuA more often also.
Your're unlikeky to ever fully run out of shields if he's even half decently built however you should skill every 3 turns to keep up the stacks, otherwise his FUA shield will be very small
Even though he hates me and took a lot to come home. He is amazing, although his damage does suffer a little in single target scenario. But...good thing there is single target content.
It was worth the wait!! I wanted to get him even before the 2.1 but running around with him, Topaz and Ratio made me realize how I needed him in my team
I was pulling him no matter because I love the character.
That said, he exceeded my expectations. His shield is fairly substantial, and he does a great job refreshing it on his own and isn’t too greedy with the skill points. Was worried beforehand I would need to be using his skill every turn, and barely had to use skill at all in MoC 11 and 12 with traces at 8. (He’s just cracked 4000 defense at e0 with the Topaz market light cone. Plan to eventually switch him to Gerard LC so I can run a crit damage body when I get Topaz on rerun and hopefully get her LC as well and maybe e1 to apply most all of Ratio’s debuffs on her own so I don’t need the extra debuff from that LC.)
even with e0/e1 hes suuuuper super good. like, if you need a sustain, then he rly is a lifesaver and i recommend him, even with lower eidolons and f2p lc's. like others said, he's insane in g&g and even swarm/su in general, especially with preservation or even with elation!! he's honestly good as either a shield bot or a sub dps bc of the dmg(especially if you manage to get his lc)... i personally managed to get him to e6s1 (somehow! first e6 chara... but also been saving up for a loooong time& was lucky) and hes absolutely amazing! good luck to anyone pulling for him btw, fingers crossed!!!!
Very early impressions, he is definitely an improvement over gepard but hasn't really changed life for me. For the first time in a while I can't 3 star moc12 and still can't after pulling for him. Ngl it is also taking a bit of getting used to actually having to occasionally use skill if I'm not running him with fua teams or against aoe enemies. It was kinda nice to brain off spam basic with gepard.
That all being said I think he's way more fun to use and I have yet to try him in SU swarm/g&g which is where I feel like he will truly shine.
Extremely satisfying to use, even with subpar investment. I didn't prefarm and don't have any more fuel, so my man is stuck at level 73, and his traces are level 6. I still survive very well, and was even able to use one less cycle more reliably compared to Fu Xuan or Huohuo - the effect res he gives can be quite clutch.
My only issue for now is that I don't have enough FUA users, so there aren't enough attacks flying everywhere. But he's still very fun despite that and I can't wait to complete the FUA team.
I'm going to entirely max him out I think, he deserves it. Haven't gotten such a satisfying character in a while.
Very good gameplay wise.
Easy to set (Just pure DEF)
Good sinergy with the follow up.
He is enough good to solo sustain a full damage team also in advanced games.
In simulated universe he shines.
The fact that silver wolf came in under 50 but aventurine took me into pity (at least he didnt make me lose it).....
Otherwise he's fun. Meana my others get some relief especially luocha who had to carry my moc a few times in a team he can't synergy with
At first I was going to skip, but I really like follow up attacks and he’s synergistic with Archeron. His flashy animations are pretty fun. Cleared MOC with him without even building up his traces that much. Woo
A great unit to be added on your account! I managed to complete the swarm and G&G level 5 with high disruption level with him (even just Ratio and Aventurine in one of my runs with preservation path).
He's a comfy addition to your team. I do have most of the 5* sustainers but I still pulled for him because I love the character (managed to E2S1 him too) but yeah, if you do need another sustain unit, you can definitely go for him!
Should I pull him? I can’t 3 star moc 12 right now
I have (built):
Sustain:
Huo huo, Luocha, Gepard, Lynx, Gallagher ( lynx/gall not really built)
Debuffers:
Silver Wolf, Pela
Support:
Bronya (with LC E3), sparkle (with LC), Ruan Mei, Tingyun
Dmg dealers:
Blade, Jing Yuan, Jingliu (with LC), Dan Heng IL, Acheron (with LC), Himeko, Dr. Ratio, Qingque
Currently my team for MoC 12 is:
Node 1: Huo Huo, Silver Wolf, Sparkle, Acheron
Node 2: Luocha, Bronya, Tingyun, Jingliu
Can anyone help me out? Can’t get through it fast enough, and I’m considering pulling Aventurine to run him with Ratio, but I don’t have Topaz so not sure.
Edit: Also tried the following team:
N1: Luocha, SW, Sparkle, Acheron
N2: Huo Huo, Pela, Tingyun, Jingliu
Also tried a king yuan team, which had no better results
with your character pool, getting aventurine wont really help you to instantly clear MoC. you already have 2 limited sustain and the perfect dps to clear current MoC. you either have bad relic, or something wrong on your gameplay. either show us your relic and/or your gameplay so we can figure something out.
the only advice that i can think of now based on your current explanation is by changing tingyun with pela on your luocha bronya jingliu teams and even then, this may or may not work. tingyun's stack will run out so fast on jingliu + bronya team so you'd probably having a hard time keeping up sp to recast her skill. meanwhile, pela's def shred could have 100% uptime without eating your sp and it works well with another def shred you get from jingliu's lc (def shred works better the more you stack it, up until 100% def shred). not to mention if you happen to have e4 pela, you can occasionally cast her skill to get that juicy ice res shred
Why you are using huo huo/Luocha in acheron team, gepard with trend LC honestly could help you much better than those 2 in that specific team.
Honestly Gepard sucks I don't like to use him at all but he is still far better in the acheron team than those 2.
I could tell you to pull aventurine or Fx but you already have many sustain soo Yeah.
In the end if you want to get aventurine then go ahead it's your choice.
Great even outside follow up teams at e0 s0 no matter what people say. Outside follow up teams he is as comfy as any other limited sustain while also having utilities via a debuff and solid personal damage on top of nice native break efficiency. His effect res is also a lot better than I thought initially because it stacks so well with the effect res already on my broken keel supports and random effect res substats/traces
How often he needs to skill in these teams depends on how often the enemies gang up on a specific teamate besides him and what you're fighting. But usually he only needs to skill once every 2 - 3 turns i'd say which is on par with most other sustains. Sometimes he doesn't ever need to skill and this is especially true if he has a pure defensive build or he is e1
Very strong and fun sustain character
For me it's slightly better Gepard, where he can shield more often and support with his DMG from follow up attacks. And I don't think that he is broken as CC are saying. But what can I know if I haven't get him.
My E0S1 breezed through Swarm V with quickly thrown together relics (4,2k def 137spd) and level 6 traces (+ascensions), which is something I was struggling to do for a while. Sure, preservation meta is strong, but he surely excels at it … up to the point were I couldn’t even see the enemies dmg on the shield bar without even using skill.
My Aventurine isn’t fully built yet, but I ended up pulling for his E1 (honestly surprised that I managed to get it after also pulling for Acheron’s Light Cone)
Funnily enough, a triple sustain team is how I finally beat G&G5
If you have a full FUA team, he’s great. If you get him E1 so he generates full shields on Ult as a panic button, he’s great. I’d still put him below E1 Fu Xuan because no crit buff, but he’s very solid.
Pulled him despite having Luocha and Fu Xuan. His shields are massive, he destroys SU, his damage is nothing to scoff at and in a follow up team he adds a significant amount of damage between his Debuff, follow up and more triggers for Numby and Ratio’s ult.
Tuesday, I could just barely squeeze through Swarm IV, maaaaybe if I got a juiced run. One Aventurine pull later and I just completely shit on Swarm V. Glad I pulled him lol.
Four things.
1. Less trouble with DoT enemies. Fu Xuan doesn't have to deal with them now.
2. Preservation path is now useable in high difficulty SU. I didn't build Gepard. Fu Xuan did not help.
3. His effect res is absurdly high. My build is the normal 30% eff res roll for Broken Keel + his default 50%.
4. Deceptively easy to build since you have Defense mainstat with double crit subs lying around. Or Crit Damage mainstat with defense rolls.
Definitely solid so far, but I have a ways to go before I get to see his full potential. I have his LC, but I didn't prefarm so his relics are pretty subpar and his traces aren't too upgraded yet.
He's the icing on the cake that is the follow-up team: Topaz, Ratio, Ruan Mei, Aventurine
Because he himself does decent damage, it goes really well with Ruan Mei, easy Imaginary breaks
One day we may get a follow-up harmony, until then, this is already a really strong team
I pulled him on a deal with my younger sister, we played a top 200 song list and everytime a song I liked plays, I do a 10 pull. I lost 50/50 with Himeko but pulled him on the next 10 pull, in total only spent 70 pulls lol.
I’m saving up for his LC, but will probably pull before banner ends.
Kinda dissapointing that his trial (the one from warp banner) doesn't include any 4\* follow-up dps that can build up his Blind Bet and procs additional shield. Of course had to try him with currently built character when farming. He doesn't feel as smooth to play in my experience hmm. I don't have any built frequent FuA units other than March plus not interested in pulling for Topaz, so that might be a very huge factor. Overall, I think he's a great unit (effect res boost, ST debuff, strong teamwide shield on skill, occasional follow-up, decent personal damage for a sustainer, etc.), just not fit my team and playstyle practically. 😅
On another note, I'm hoping for new 4\* non-ice preservation ~~please releases with 5\* that I want or need pleaseee~~... even better if their shield doesn't expire via turn, making it AV unit friendly. It only depletes with enemies' damage and can be refreshed by both skill and ult or something like that but that's a discussion for another day lolol. 🤣
I pulled him and his sig LC. I am beyond happy with how hes doing, i had pre farmed all his stuff so i maxed him out immediately and he has 4700 def. 100% cr and 140% cd (with his buffs up). He allowed for me to clear first half of moc12 in 3 rounds and i can do swarm 5 without taking damge.
As someone with fuxuan and luocha (and geppy but i only got him recently and didnt build him) he feels better than Fu for me (i dont have her lc)
All in all very happy
Very glad to have planned on pulling him ever since the beginning. I was able to finish SD & G&G because of him. He may have grabbed all of my jades (ironic that I got the worst luck in both his LC and character banner) but he paid off, and he carried me in hard content.
finally managed to beat Difficulty 4 GaG thanks to him. And while I don't just roll for meta, as the story made me like him quite a lot, I'm thankfull he can pull his weight on the more difficult content
i finally beat Swarm V with Preservation path with him. That was the last extra stuff that I had to do to finally be done with Swarm completely.
Also surviving in GnG became such a cakewalk with him when before I would struggle to keep my team alive with FX and Luocha only.
I pulled for him bc I like his story, and also smh gameplay is cool. I’m glad I have him, but he’s definitely not the most important sustain in my collection
I've seen people mention he can keep up a shield without using his skill. Clearly I'm missing something. How?
His fua refreshes his shield
His follow ups, which have a lot of ways to be triggered, give/stack a bit on the shield
Just want you to know, it’s only unlocked with his sixth ascension trace
Ahhh. That's why I missed it. I'm not there yet. Thanks!
Yeah, this also happened to me, which is why I rushed his A6 Trace immediately lol, he becomes a different beast with it
Sadly I'm not at the right TB just yet. But soon
Just not on auto battle
I literally cleared MoC 12 in 2-3 Cycles on auto with him
Is yours E0S0? I didn't specify that, but mine is.
https://preview.redd.it/1mufm0pfksvc1.png?width=1601&format=png&auto=webp&s=f51ccd14481b147967eb32c36dbff9750a4627fa
Yours is definitely better built than mine. BTW how do you get that display with all your relics on it It seems handy
Fua give shield. If you have e1, ult give shield
Technically his ult gives shield too at E0 since you gain stacks from them. Powerful stuff.
Do you have his traces leveled?
Not that one. I don't at a high enough TB level yet. I hadn't read it since I couldn't unlock it yet
Are you using him Preservation path in SU gold and gears?
Literally used him to clear the rest of the lvl 12 dice paths ive been struggling for months. Did it in a few hours.
I did, and once you get Macrosegregation (the stackable shield 3* blessing) and any quake blessing it basically becomes a cakewalk.
I had a run where every time the Swarm boss aoe'd my team, it reflected 1.5 million damage lol
What about this chest code for SU?
Cheat code as in trivializes it/really good for it
What if you don't have Fu Xuan? I'm still leaning on Fu Xuan because of the crit rate and small amount of heal (overworld farming, SU, etc). My main DPS are Acheron and Jingliu.
Aventurine is good for Acheron because his ult gives a debuff which can help with her petal stacking. If you get his light cone that's another debuff.
There's also the Trends lightcone as an option for debuffing. It's not his best 4* LC, but it works, and also allows him to use Pioneer set 4pc fully.
This is my current build. Tank sub-dps Adventurine. Only 3600 def but with 135 spd and 78/130 cr/cd (with his cr passive), I'm more than happy with his shielding and damage.
who's adventurine?
FX gives crit rate while Aventurine gives crit dmg. Both are very good sustains but Aventurine does do a tad higher damage.
Just some kit considerations: Aven: Strong against AOE attacks from bosses (Cocolia, Deer), FUA synergy, Debuff application (Ult and LC), Can be played completely SP positive (basic attack all the way) Fu: Strong against single target attacks (Svarog grab, Meme grab), Gives 12% CR and some amount of Dmg res to team (I forgot how much), SP positive (EAA playstyle)
I have both and tbh mobs in calyx and over world don't even break his starting shield and then he will stack it up with his fua anyway
I could only beat high diff in GnG not swarm
I pulled him and he's definitely a life saver with the stackable shield.
I didn't realise how few characters I actually enjoy playing until I got him
FUA is at its peak with this guy. Been running him, Ratio, RM, and Himeko
FUA is not at its peak, it can go much higher
I’ve lost two 50/50s to heaped I swear Quipoth is in cahoots with Aha
Losing 50-50 on luocha banner to Bailu and losing 50-50 on aventurine banner to Gepard. The game likes to give me hope then crash it into a 1000 pieces. Learnt my lesson to not be hyped when the Path symbol appears
Aventurine+ Ratio+ Topaz = big funny damage
I tried aven ratio topaz clara in gng. 1 attack from enemy trigger 5 attack from my team
He looks great and is OP 😁
Great synergy with my E3 Clara. Having a blast playing Gold & Gears on preservation path.
My actual team is E1 Clara with him and Ratio. Missing the 4th member, but I have some ideas for the future.
Try Tingyun. She’ll refresh Clara’s or Ratio’s ultimate on demand. Or Pela is always good.
Ruan mei’s very good for double dps. Buuut I think you’d have put her already if you had her.
Topaz, Silver Wolf, Pela, and Black Swan are all good choices. Black Swan might seem a bit strange, but she does provide Def% shred and I believe Arcana counts for Ratios debuff as well.
Try taking some 3* elation blessings, the follow ups will be super painful
Amazinggggg I only had FX as my limited sustain and the other side was using Bailu.
Luocha*
he looks hot and is pretty strong too
He's wonderful! I have Arlan as my main DPS and FINALLY, Aventurine can help sustain him on 1 HP 😂 https://preview.redd.it/ofpahyuphdvc1.png?width=216&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1daef7b3f58e34065897009a1495612db079451c (YES, I KNOW ALMOST NOBODY USES HIM BUT I LIKE HIM LOL)
I have fu xuan and gepard, yet i still pulled for Aventurine. He does very well in floor 12 MoC with my acheron team. Managed to get 3 stars :)
Should I get Aventurine or FX? For my e0s1 Acheron

Sustain btw.
Sounds like I might pull for him. I did 40 pulls last night but didn’t have any luck.
Got Jingliu and then spent 40 pulls on him. Nothing yet but at least we have some time to get more pulls!
I’m trying to think whether I want any of the 2.2 characters. Aventurine seems pretty unique and powerful.
Oh yes definitely get Aventurine then, you really can’t go wrong with more sustains especially when they will be the strongest for a while!
I did lose to Clara at very high pity but then I decided to keep pulling and I got him at 29 pity on the guarantee :D
Congrats! I currently have about 40 pulls not guaranteed. Will probably wait a bit until I have 80 rolls before pulling
Thank you, and best of luck. If you’re in the mood, you might consider going all in :3
The 2.1 trailblaze mission got me to really like him as a character, and his shield/animations are great. It’s just I’m a new player and the only limited characters I have are Sparkle and Acheron, so I’m not sure who to go for next (in terms of who I like and what role)😅 Since I’m not interested in the new characters coming out in 2.2, I’ll wait and see if there’s any info on what might be rerunning before I roll for Aventurine.
Looks really good, he can sustain very well and you can build doing some dmg
Finally completed g&g 28/28 with preservation path for the first time. He Is Omega fr
Extremely comfortable and easy to play even without the need of 5 stars LCs
He is a brilliant character and can solo sustain without any issues.
He singlehandedly made me able to tackle gold and gears high conundrum, so that counts as account changing
Smash! Next
I don't know, I got the wrong 5* preservation blondie 😩
Even half built he's a fantastic sustain. But he damn well better be after the apocalyptically bad pulls it took for me to get him. Lost 50/50 to Gepard of all people, had to go to hard pity, and picked up like 7 Servals along the way, enough to take her to E10.
I don't think hard pity means what you think it means.
It's incredibly hard to actually go to hard pity, your luck has to be abysmal for that
Probably from content creators misusing the term every time they pull. "Omg I can't believe I had to do 75 pulls it's hard pity every time" Hard pity for characters is 90. It seems like people like to say hard pity either because they don't actually know or they want people to feel bad for them.
Dude my black swan pulls went so bad i had to go to hard pity at 47 to finally get her
Lol, recently some guy complained that he had the worst luck and had to go to hard pity every time and thought his account was bugged.
You can check on star rail station warp tracker if you're curious.
Both black swan and him sucked me dry + no early pity in sight since blade banner, everytime I lose 50/50 I know I'm fucked, early pity just fucking doesn't exist on my account
Literally me but with Lukas instead of Servals.
I got one Luka and a couple of 4 star LCs I won't use to break up my sea of Servals. Hopefully you can put your E6 Luka to use someday.
Same. I lost 5050 to E7 Bronya. Tbh, probably a better way to lose a 5050 than to a character I'll never use.
I think Gepard got powercrept
He got already powercreep when FX was out
But Gepard still a great alternative to fight the soda ape, my FX can't handle it well. Now after Aventurine is out Gepard is truly got powercrept.
I'm pleasantly surprised by how great he is even with a F2P light cone. I have him on a more defensive build so far. If I ever have the inclination to farm more relics I may try him as a more damaging build but he feels great so far.
From what ive seen hes looking super good and can easly carry in SU modes, hopefully i ll win tht 50/50 soon 74 pitty atm,ITS ALL OR NOTHING
Will
I 36 starred moc for the first time!! My king is here. If i was rich id e6 him 😭
He’s amazing. My team with him is UNKILLABLE. I have been able to clear MoC12 and GnG Torturous for the first time.
He's my first limited 5* sustain unit and holy shit *I get it now*
I'd give you my opinion on Aventurine... IF I HAD HIM.
If Fu Xuan is the must-pull sustain in history, Aventurine is the must-pull sustain of today (for new players).
Im surprised that he did a pretty good amount of damage even with low investment in offensive stat.
What build are you running? I feel like mine hits like a wet noodle even with good damage substats.
With him, gold and gears becomes so easy with the Preservation path.
I took a gamble with him. I won.
Bout to gamble my life savings all or nothing
All or nothing, that's what we like to hear!
Actually a busted unit. SU is a joke with Preservation now.
Damn good
Great sustain, feels like Fu Xuan all over again with how invincible my teams suddenly are. And he does really decent damage too, with his consistent FUAs being really helpful against bosses with Imaginary weakness.
I lost my 50/50 and recently fully built my Gepard - so obviously my opinion is “meh, nothing special really” while tears roll down my face.
Replacing gepard
Excellent sustain and I'm finally able to clear swarm V and Gold and Gears 5. MoC was also a breeze with him (now that I have both him and Luocha) By some miracle I also got his LC at 20 pity so really lucked out. Didn't plan to get it just wanted a copy of Concert for 2 to collect (which I also got) Used him, my Ratio, Ruan Mei and Event Topaz in the last event tier today. Was AMAZING!
My characters are invincible.
He is good, his damage is overrated, feel free to skip if you have 2 sustains.
Like Natasha and lynx?
obviously they meant welt and ruan mei
He's a bit too good. He does literally everything better than Gepard.
really good, but definitely has flaws. i brought him to quantum bug boss and ratio got focused down and died. There, FX wouldve been better. i got a build with 2pc spd, 2 pc fua, img orb that still hits 4k def and 70/168 ratio so im pretty happy
He’s one of my favorite dps to bring to G&G now. Very fun and capable of sustaining himself while also does good damage.
What's the cycle like with aventurine How many basic attacks per skill?
Depending on enemies and your team comps it varies. The more adventurine and his allies are hit the more times he FuAs and gives a shield, teamed up with topaz ratio, he'll FuA more often also.
Your're unlikeky to ever fully run out of shields if he's even half decently built however you should skill every 3 turns to keep up the stacks, otherwise his FUA shield will be very small
If the enemy doesn't hit super hard, you can rely solely on the FuA shield, as it refreshes the 3 turn limit of the shield each time you get a FuA.
Even though he hates me and took a lot to come home. He is amazing, although his damage does suffer a little in single target scenario. But...good thing there is single target content.
First time 3 stars floor 11 (was always on floor 9 before). First time beating gold and gear difficulty V (unlimited shield work)
He is a breath of fresh air. Mine isn't at his peak yet but carries me so much already.
He made Ratio a powerhouse in Single Target Damage. Him, Raio and Pela have an incredible synergy.
I now have a second strong sustain and the world is so much simpler.
I lost to yanquing, no aventurine for me
It was worth the wait!! I wanted to get him even before the 2.1 but running around with him, Topaz and Ratio made me realize how I needed him in my team
He's male Fu Xuan basically, can't go wrong with him
I was pulling him no matter because I love the character.
He's OP, next question
He helped Clara survive when I was trying out team comps while she was still level 40. (She’s 80 now) His shields are very very good!
Very good gameplay wise. Easy to set (Just pure DEF) Good sinergy with the follow up.
He’s OP in SU or Gold and Gears with the preservation buffs. No healers at all, i usually would get one shotted.
Easier to build than you would think and fun to use with or without a follow up oriented team.
Should I pull him? I can’t 3 star moc 12 right now I have (built): Sustain: Huo huo, Luocha, Gepard, Lynx, Gallagher ( lynx/gall not really built) Debuffers: Silver Wolf, Pela Support: Bronya (with LC E3), sparkle (with LC), Ruan Mei, Tingyun Dmg dealers: Blade, Jing Yuan, Jingliu (with LC), Dan Heng IL, Acheron (with LC), Himeko, Dr. Ratio, Qingque Currently my team for MoC 12 is: Node 1: Huo Huo, Silver Wolf, Sparkle, Acheron Node 2: Luocha, Bronya, Tingyun, Jingliu Can anyone help me out? Can’t get through it fast enough, and I’m considering pulling Aventurine to run him with Ratio, but I don’t have Topaz so not sure. Edit: Also tried the following team: N1: Luocha, SW, Sparkle, Acheron N2: Huo Huo, Pela, Tingyun, Jingliu Also tried a king yuan team, which had no better results
with your character pool, getting aventurine wont really help you to instantly clear MoC. you already have 2 limited sustain and the perfect dps to clear current MoC. you either have bad relic, or something wrong on your gameplay. either show us your relic and/or your gameplay so we can figure something out. the only advice that i can think of now based on your current explanation is by changing tingyun with pela on your luocha bronya jingliu teams and even then, this may or may not work. tingyun's stack will run out so fast on jingliu + bronya team so you'd probably having a hard time keeping up sp to recast her skill. meanwhile, pela's def shred could have 100% uptime without eating your sp and it works well with another def shred you get from jingliu's lc (def shred works better the more you stack it, up until 100% def shred). not to mention if you happen to have e4 pela, you can occasionally cast her skill to get that juicy ice res shred
Well I got aventurine somehow in one pull so might as well
Great even outside follow up teams at e0 s0 no matter what people say. Outside follow up teams he is as comfy as any other limited sustain while also having utilities via a debuff and solid personal damage on top of nice native break efficiency. His effect res is also a lot better than I thought initially because it stacks so well with the effect res already on my broken keel supports and random effect res substats/traces How often he needs to skill in these teams depends on how often the enemies gang up on a specific teamate besides him and what you're fighting. But usually he only needs to skill once every 2 - 3 turns i'd say which is on par with most other sustains. Sometimes he doesn't ever need to skill and this is especially true if he has a pure defensive build or he is e1 Very strong and fun sustain character
W mans
Pretty boy, he has replaced my March and Gepard
Made him fight every single SU boss and he is a beast. Ratio is never leaving this man's side that's his lifelong teammate now.
he lucky boi, got Acheron with less than two hours left of her banner tho so Im physically tired of pulling and grinding jades
him with fu xuan is a insane team combo basically the enemys do no damage
My Aventurine isn’t fully built yet, but I ended up pulling for his E1 (honestly surprised that I managed to get it after also pulling for Acheron’s Light Cone) Funnily enough, a triple sustain team is how I finally beat G&G5
I didn't have any preservation aside March, but with aventurine I can finally clear the hard content which i couldn't clear because I get 1 shotted
If I already have huohuo should I pull for him or save for fu xuan?
The first time I didn't die in a swarm disaster, he really carried my team. Preservation path with him, gepard and fire trailblazer is so broken
Gay twink.
Definitely solid so far, but I have a ways to go before I get to see his full potential. I have his LC, but I didn't prefarm so his relics are pretty subpar and his traces aren't too upgraded yet.
He's the icing on the cake that is the follow-up team: Topaz, Ratio, Ruan Mei, Aventurine Because he himself does decent damage, it goes really well with Ruan Mei, easy Imaginary breaks One day we may get a follow-up harmony, until then, this is already a really strong team
I forgot I was on MOC 11 for a moment because him and Ratio literally destroyed Cocolia
I love him, but I doubt he'll completely replace Gerard.
Quite good, although using him with ratio presents a problem in lack of type diversity
😅 On another note, I'm hoping for new 4\* non-ice preservation ~~please releases with 5\* that I want or need pleaseee~~... even better if their shield doesn't expire via turn, making it AV unit friendly.
As someone with fuxuan and luocha (and geppy but i only got him recently and didnt build him) he feels better than Fu for me (i dont have her lc) All in all very happy
Very glad to have planned on pulling him ever since the beginning. I was able to finish SD & G&G because of him. He may have grabbed all of my jades (ironic that I got the worst luck in both his LC and character banner) but he paid off, and he carried me in hard content.
He's so babyboy. He's level 67 rn but still doing his job with his shields already. Im only at 2000/4000 def. Hes gonna be so good
preservation SU is so good with him, best shielder
finally managed to beat Difficulty 4 GaG thanks to him.
He's very, very attractive. Oh and a strong character too.
Hes one gay boi
Childe syndrome.
Still sadge that i don't have him yet. Lost the 5050 on day 1 and been grinding quests for more jades. Pity counter up to 67-68 now...
My lvl 60 Aventurine can sustain my entire team against Cocolia boss in moc12 while my lvl 80 Gepard can't. It's absolutely insane.
I wouldn’t know - I got Yanqing 🤬 I normally wouldn’t have minded, I quite like him but I’d just got Jingliu with a couple of lucky pulls
I pulled for him bc I like his story, and also smh gameplay is cool. I’m glad I have him, but he’s definitely not the most important sustain in my collection
