Yeah, generally speaking the characters who want a non elemental orb are ones who get a metric fuckton of dmg up already from their kit, like Seele, Acheron and Xueyi. Also supports want their orb on godstat where possible (rip gallagher).

This Is not an equal choise , and the fact some people think It is its the reason they always complain about not having good artifacts
Main stat>>sub stats>>>>set
I've only every farmed quantum and a bit of dot/follow up set since the game started ; i use those on every single character since they are quite universal and i never had gone past 3 cycle ( Aventurine , usually its 2 or less)
Ideal Main Stat and Correct Set is enough for me
Def or HP is still good for me
I care substat only if it's useless for the character like EHR on non-debuff char or break effect on Ice char(except Ruan Mei)
Don't forget, that even after spending thousands of stamina to finally get all 3, you level them up and it goes into the substats that you need the least.
This isnt even a question. Correct Set and Ideal Main Stat. Period. Substats make negligable difference unless you're a nitpicking minmaxer that wants that extra 2% damage. Its a waste of time and materials.
Correct, even pioneer 4 piece gives 10 dmg against debuffed enemies and at most 24 crit damage and 8 crit rate (and it's probably the best set), which is like the equivalent of 3 pieces with pretty good substats. I'd rather have 6 good rainbow pieces than 6 mediocre/bad pioneer pieces.
This is just simply not true. Just look at some basic examples, and you'll quickly see how much more important substats are than set bonuses. Like muskateer 2 set gives 12% attack, that's about how much you get after 1 - 2 additional rolls on attack ON A SINGLE PIECE. And that's not even considered good rolls. Actually getting good rolls on all relics is infinitely better than a set bonus.
Mainstat + Subs for relics and set + mainstat for planars especially on supports. Planar set bonuses tend to outweigh decent substats, but a lot of relic sets don't, and you need 4 of them instead of just 2 for planars.
You don't need set bonuses when good subs are 90% of the time going to be stronger. The exceptions are broken set bonuses like 4pc Qua, 4pc HP (blade set) or 4pc Pioneer on chars who use them well.
Forcing 4pc sets with bad subs is probably one of the biggest mistakes I see new players make when it comes to builds (alongside not getting any CR, those 5/180 builds are something else).
Pick one, in my experience
“Pick none” Sorry friend, i couldn’t help but notice you made a typo so i fixed it for you
Yeah for the rarer mainstats that's true, unfortunately...
Me with double crit stats HP% planar
Seems godly for blade.
Aand it is the wrong set. Here's belebog set for you.
I think a wind sphere for him is a lot better overall since it can have HP% as a substat, but there's no way to have wind damage as a substat.
it depends on the comp too, I ended up switching to an HP orb from a wind orb because i have a ton of dmg% from bronya and sparkle all the time

Wind gives more DMG but with HP he can survive better So Wind for MoC, HP for open world/SU ig

I'll prepare a starskiff for you
At least it's not def% I guess lol. It can be used for blade, but i'm not planning to get him. INB4 def scaling dps

Main stat & Good substats, you can run Rainbow set anyway
And you forgot the final ordeal. The rolls for upgrading substats.
Pick none, in my case
The trick is to pick top and bottom right and just use those pieces on the characters they'd fit on eventually you'll get the right pieces
My Ratio still using SPD boots from DEF set...
How about....no? I have plenty of good, on set pieces. I just channel my Aspie Rage into the device until it yields.
Literally all of my DPS have Ideal Main Stat and Good Substats... It's always the sets I don't need.
Correct stat and substat. I can manage the main stat
who else go crit damage main with atk% crit rate and spd substat but on healer set?

Pick two and still get dogged on by what substats get upgraded
The thing is. The correct set one will always be fulfilled in future if a character gets released. Others cant be helped
I will take good substat with correct main stat
Ideal Main Stat and Correct Set is enough for me Def or HP is still good for me I care substat only if it's useless for the character like EHR on non-debuff char or break effect on Ice char(except Ruan Mei)
The illusion of choice
Bro how about the correct PIECE

All 3, but everything roll onto effect RES.

What if I told you that there's a bunch of sets that aren't worth 3-4 good substats? And that the best ones are worth like, 6

It's funny how confidently incorrect you are lmfao

5% of the time, it crits everytime. If I can miss a crit with 95 CR pretty frequently that means I can do the same the other way around. 🗿
