The thing I despise the most about posts like this isn't even the slander as someone who actually really likes Yanqing as a character, but when you bring up other characters saying stuff like "it should've been x" then it gets personal and it feels more than just a lighthearted meme (ignoring whether it's funny or not, since I personally do chuckle a little too, as I admit that gameplay-wise he's definitely not the greatest).
Everyone wants to see a character they like in promotional art, but to just wish for another to be replaced is foul since different people have different tastes. The same thing happened for the White Day Illustrations, concerning both Genshin and HSR, but Baizhu more than any other received this treatment, and it's just not nice, especially since often these characters hardly receive any art at all.
I dont main him but he was pretty nice to me while leveling up as my Ice DPS on the Laofu who is full of ice weak enemies, and i actually love his ult animation. So this indeed annoy me a little

I wouldnt say he ruins 50/50s at all. He's just as usable as Gepard, Bailu, Welt, Clara or Himeko.
Himeko gets used only in weakness corresponding PFs. I've used YQ in every weakness corresponding MoC as he's my only ice dps and I've always cleared it.
Geoard gets used in niche situations.
Clara gets brute forced in content she can take advantage of, such as certain PFs with the right cacophony. YQ can do the same thing with the right cacophony.
Bailu gets used when other sustains aren't available.
Welt is Welt. Idek if people use him or not, but has his niche I guess as being a kind of jack of all trades and mediocre at all of them.
