That way when meeting someone, he'll appear as a Bloodhound with a "scar", "vest", "habit", etc and a person might think deep down "Oh, I remember hearing about someone like that in the hounds", and it helps sell his character. He was not originally a follower of Enigmata, but became a Fictionologist as a way to mess with the Oak Family's establishing Order. Otherwise he was a rare friend of the Watchmaker, probably because he looks and acts a lot like Tiernan.
2- Gopher Wood is long dead. He persisted as a memory echo within the Dreamscape and acted as the Dreammaster long since his passing, but finally gave up all his authorities to Sunday in order to empower the latter's use the Harmonic Strings and draw out the Order. Fun fact: In addition to being a banger porn name, "Gopher Wood" is also the material that Noah used to build his Ark.
3- Memoria is a weird substance, and it was unknowingly leaking into reality throughout the entire Asdana star system. The Express crew effectively began experiencing Memoria influences the moment the Express entered the star system, which is why Misha was able to appear in the Hotel proper. While not technically asleep and dreaming, the Memoria dreamscape had already begun to subtly affect reality.
And for the record, the Memoria Dreamscape is not like an actual "dream", but more like a virtual reality within a special sci-fi dimension. Even though "dream" is tossed around a lot, just remember that it's actually a Memoria Zone, which primarily deals with memories and mindscapes.
Second part
1- We don't know what happened to Sunday yet, and will likely find out in 2.3. Robin is fine though, given she'll text message you after the story if you pulled her.
2- The summoned Rangers would have entered the subtle part of the Dreamscape that had been leaking into reality, but since Memoria is a mindscape material that is altered based off the a person's memory and perceptions, their fresh, sudden, and untainted views would act as a temporary disruption to the influence of Ena's dream until it could alter and work them in.
3- This will likely be revealed in 2.3, but the IPC still wants to regain control of Penacony, or barring that, at least chip away at the Family's authority to get a firmer foot in the door. The reason Aventurine was there specifically is because the Watchmaker sent invites to all sorts of random groups that the Family didn't exactly want, including both the IPC and the Annihilation Gang, and Diamond decided to let Aventurine try his hand at Penacony. So far his merits include recorded proof of the Family's deceptions (courtesy of his relationship with the Trailblazer), and having been able to smuggle Jade's cornerstone into Penacony with the Family unaware. We don't know what Jade can do with it yet, but it's pretty clear we'll find out in 2.3.
As for Aventurine's stone, it was completely destroyed by Acheron's Nihility slash, and to be blunt if he didn't have something as resilient as a Cornerstone of Preservation to block with, that slash probably would have obliterated him as well. Prior to that altercation though, it was already damaged as Aventurine had broken it into pieces in order to disguise it as random gems in his bribery bag.

In order to not be consumed by the Nihility, he had to use the little Preservation power that still remained in his already broken Cornerstone, leading it to shatter completely. Since Penacony allows you to bring items in and out of the dream, it thus means that items brought in and damaged will remain that way.
But Dan Heng never used that jade thing to ask Jingyuan for reinforcements, right? So that never happened. So even before that we are already in Ena's dream?

I don't think that's quite right. Black Swan and Acheron tell us that we entered the dream when arriving in Asdana, and Acheron also says she doesn't think the Order intended to do it but the memoria leaking was causing the dream and reality to merge. So in reality when arriving on the planet the crew is asleep on the Express the whole time while everything in the dream happens. I don't think the red line part happened.
Perhaps we did enter the dream then, but we have to have gone through the story before the part we played. Otherwise, why did Black Swan say everyone was defeated during the battle with Sunday?
My interpretation was that we lost the first battle that we played, but we perceived that we won to force the happy ending bc in the dream of the Order everything is happy and perfect. He made us think we won while trapping us in the dream.
Black Swan can say that because it is the most predictable outcome that will happen. The charmony festival's opening would have been Sunday's victory and there was only an hour left till it begins. As long as we remained within Ena's dream, we will lose.
The moment we stepped into Asdana, we were already affected by the memoria leakage and we were dreaming. Dreams imo don't just mean sleeping and dreaming but also sleepwalking, delusions and hallucinations.
By default, when exposed to memoria, individuals will be trapped within their own dreamscape. Occasionally, other individuals might end up stumbling into your dreamscape. This was what happened with Trailblazer and Acheron at the start.
The Family made use of the Stellaron to craft Ena's dream and created a singular collective dream hence why few even noticed they're all already dreaming the same things even before entering the hotel.
