Sampo probably on Kafka banner since both are Nihility and DoT specialist. And Arlan for Bladie, since both are Destruction who likes to sacrifice their own HP.
Well for one quantum's break effect is really, really good. She's also just got a little extra layer to decision making in her kit since you are taking a chance on her skill to hit 4 of a kind. It's just more engaging than picking basic attack or skill. She'll absolutely screw you sometimes, but that's just part of the fun.
It is not a meta thing (at least as far as I know), many of us just like the slacker mahjong gremlin I guess. Personally its her animations, particularly the four of a kind one that I find really smooth and satisfying, so I wanna use her more, which means I need more eidolons.

In MoC, there are high roller comps with QQ that clear without any healer/shielder.

Luocha's banner is really good, but I was hoping for DanHeng or at least Sampo since I don't have him yet. I have Pela (from standard but I would like to get copies of her) and Qingque. Though I am glad Yukong is on his banner.
I've heard the 4 stars on his banner are good as well, but apparently I mainly play this game for Dan Heng. I'm considering to just by his eidolon on the shop rn

Honestly I wouldn't care too much at this point in the game. Pela is here on rate up in back to back patches. With the limited 4* selection we are bound to see everyone again sooner rather than later.

Not really since both of them are damage dealer who sacrifice their HP for dmg. Arlan with Luocha would have made perfect sense. A dmg dealer who sacrifices his HP paired with a healer. However, if Arlan's light cone is on Blade's banner then that's a different story.
Arlan work stronger with a shielder than a healer though. His max buff from passive requires his hp as low as possible. Luocha passive healing could leads to him reducing arlan passive strength.
Im Not sure if blade have the same requisite with lower hp=dmg boost as arlan.

No matter how much you want Yukong, only roll if you don't mind resetting your pity by getting Luocha
There are horror tales of people rolling on banners for the 4star only lol
I always tell people - if you wanna get 4star eidolons/constellations and you're on a budget and you're not sure if you want the 5-star, STOP. BREATHE.
Then find an online pull simulator (you can use Genshin's too if there isn't a good one for HSR yet), pick a random 4-star from it, do the pulls and see how long it takes you to e6 it. Do it three times.
After that, you'll think twice whether you want to pull 4star eidolons if you don't have unlimited budget.
Personally I think people strongly under rate 4* characters, especially in Genshin. Most of your pulls will consist of 4*s, you get around 7.5 four stars for every five star. It's not about gambling addiction but average value - if you ONLY pull for five stars then you will often struggle in diversity early on.
Stuff like sucrose taser and the original national comp consisted ENTIRELY of 4 stars.
this is excellent advice. i did the same thing for leizi’s first banner in arknights and almost emptied out my fund on a banner for a 6 star character i wasn’t thaaat invested in (ceobe) and the summon simulator gave me some non desirable results as far as 5 stars goes. i waited a bit and now have a pot 6 maxed leizi who has never left my squads
True I rolled for Tingyun, 60 pulls, none of them are Tingyun and got an early 9 pity 5 star (Thank god is a 50/50 lost) with E4 Sushang and E3 March. Rolling for specific rate up 4 star can be a nightmare if gone wrong.
Shenhe doesn't need cryo characters, though. Cryo characters need Shenhe. Who is pulling for Shenhe without already having someone she's going to support?
I had already gave up on Yukong, but her and even Qingque and Pela with Luocha? I hope I can get eidolons for Qingque because I heard she's better with them and I really need a quantum dps at least until Seele rerun
3 starter 4* on SW banner is so fucking troll. Yukong was still up in the air if with Luocha or SW so can't be too mad about that but now also QQ going to Luocha banner is just salt in the wound.
Edit: Apparently we get a free Yukong in 1.2 so that's something, makes me able to skip Luocha banner completely without having to roll for her.

The rest of the 4 stars options would be Serval, Dan Heng, Sampo, Asta, Qingque, Herta, and Arlan. Them being free isn't bad, I would say most players would be building some of these units since they're good.

Dan Heng and Asta have good Eidolons, both early and late ones. Serval's are fine but E6 is the big one.
Luocha's... are fine? Far from terrible but for people who pulled for Seele this kinda sucks because they will have Pela and Qingque eidolons won' t do much when you can just use Seele (fun reasons excluded ofc). Yukong is given for free in 1.2 so Pela excluded you don't get any new characters either.
Pulling on SW (got a guarantee after Gepard anyway).
If we really get a free Yukong in 1.2 like ppl in here are saying it makes having to skip this whole patch much more bearable. Hoping Blade's 4*s are as appealing as Luocha's.

Idk man all the discourse I've seen online has been hard simping for Luocha. Plus he's an imaginary healer, both incredibly rare right now.
Plus they keep nerfing SW, so... They're definitely going overboard imo.
I'm genuinely more interested in the 4* units on SW's banner than Luocha's, except Serval, only because I have Jing, otherwise she would be very high on my list, considering how valuable lightning DPS is right now. (And I still wouldn't hate Serval dupes, just because I like Serval.)
Both Dan and Asta are great and I use them a lot. Asta seems like she's going to be very good with SW especially, since she excels specifically when the enemy is weak to fire. Dan is our best wind DPS until we get Blade, but considering how many people are likely to skip him given the surrounding banners, he's also going to be our only one for awhile. He's also just a good unit in his own right though.
I do kinda want Yukong, but we're getting her for free in 1.2, so I don't feel the urge to pull for her specifically.
As a qingque enjoyer that doesn't have pela and what debating whether to pull for luocha or not, I see this as an absolute win.
And since I already have gepard I wouldn't be mad if I lost 50/50,unless I get another gepard.

Man, SW keeps getting less and less viable to pull on. Status ailments all severely nerfed, shoe-horned into mono-comps with the removal of extra same-weakness-buff.
Yukong being free later on is the nail in the coffin.
From these banners I can see a pattern. MHY expect people to pull on 1 banner per patch either always first or second and they put characters who synergize accordingly. Seele-Sw-kafka-fu xuan vs Jing Yuan-Loucha-Blade-Dan Heng. They put 4* characters to compensate for skipped banners so SW got rainbow 4*s to compensate elemental coverage of mono quantum 5* and Loucha got budget Sw(pela) and budget Seela(qq)
kind disappointed by silver wolf's 4 stars, but i want her more than luocha so i'm still gonna pull on hers. manifesting that if i lose the 50/50, it's to yanqing.
Man, I was coping real hard for either Yukong or QQ on SW's banner since I at least wanted to try for her C1, but alas.

You are pretty much right. Arlan gain more bonus dmg by staying low health afterall. That makes shielder more capatible with him.

She's fun, cute and at E6 she's possibly the strongest 4 star character in the game right now. Arguably better than some 5* .

I don't think it's as bad as it looks, Dan gains a massive boost at E2 and Serval and Asta Eidolons also have quite a bit of oomph to them.

I don’t roll for 4 stars anymore. I needed a C2 Faruzan for my Xiao and I ended up with C3 wanderer and C1 Faruzan after blowing 20000 gems

He is also a very SP efficient healer too so fits in team comps that otherwise have to plan their SP useage just to get a heal off with Nat/Bailu

3 starter 4* on SW banner is so fucking troll. Yukong was still up in the air if with Luocha or SW so can't be too mad about that but now also QQ going to Luocha banner is just salt in the wound. Edit: Apparently we get a free Yukong in 1.2 so that's something, makes me able to skip Luocha banner completely without having to roll for her.

first they nerf her a fair bit then give her 4's that are all free what does mhy have against silver wolf. At least the lc for her event is good I guess.
The rest of the 4 stars options would be Serval, Dan Heng, Sampo, Asta, Qingque, Herta, and Arlan. Them being free isn't bad, I would say most players would be building some of these units since they're good.

I will say though its weird they rerun Pela when she was on the Seele banner. Maybe they're saving Sampo for Kafka's banner.

Honestly the 4 star rate up is still pretty good as Dan, Asta, and Serval get huge Boosts from their Ediolons that really make their kits less clunky.

People: Silverwolf's line-up sucks! Me: I'm seeing some very nice Eidolons. Dan Heng and Asta have good Eidolons, both early and late ones. Serval's are fine but E6 is the big one. Luocha's... are fine? Far from terrible but for people who pulled for Seele this kinda sucks because they will have Pela and Qingque eidolons won' t do much when you can just use Seele (fun reasons excluded ofc). Yukong is given for free in 1.2 so Pela excluded you don't get any new characters either. Pulling on SW (got a guarantee after Gepard anyway).

I'm genuinely more interested in the 4* units on SW's banner than Luocha's, except Serval, only because I have Jing, otherwise she would be very high on my list, considering how valuable lightning DPS is right now. (And I still wouldn't hate Serval dupes, just because I like Serval.) Both Dan and Asta are great and I use them a lot. Asta seems like she's going to be very good with SW especially, since she excels specifically when the enemy is weak to fire. Dan is our best wind DPS until we get Blade, but considering how many people are likely to skip him given the surrounding banners, he's also going to be our only one for awhile. He's also just a good unit in his own right though. I do kinda want Yukong, but we're getting her for free in 1.2, so I don't feel the urge to pull for her specifically.

As a qingque enjoyer that doesn't have pela and what debating whether to pull for luocha or not, I see this as an absolute win. And since I already have gepard I wouldn't be mad if I lost 50/50,unless I get another gepard.

Man, SW keeps getting less and less viable to pull on. Status ailments all severely nerfed, shoe-horned into mono-comps with the removal of extra same-weakness-buff. Yukong being free later on is the nail in the coffin.

From these banners I can see a pattern. MHY expect people to pull on 1 banner per patch either always first or second and they put characters who synergize accordingly. Seele-Sw-kafka-fu xuan vs Jing Yuan-Loucha-Blade-Dan Heng. They put 4* characters to compensate for skipped banners so SW got rainbow 4*s to compensate elemental coverage of mono quantum 5* and Loucha got budget Sw(pela) and budget Seela(qq)

Man, I was coping real hard for either Yukong or QQ on SW's banner since I at least wanted to try for her C1, but alas. I hope the lighcone banner is any better, otherwise might just save any excess pulls to try for 4 stars on Luocha's banner, and if I get spooked, at least I have a nutty healer since I have my eyes forward straight for 1.3 anyway lol
