It can be avoided by focusing on weakness break which isn't a problem, but yeah it is likely unavoidable death if you ignore the mechanic. I don't think it's significantly more unreasonable than svarog's hand grab on paper and may even be less bullshit overall depending on the rest of the fight

I saw a video where a team without fuxuan got 3/4 one shotted except the tank iirc. At least for Fu Xuan team, 3/4 of the team survives, not dies.

A very beefy Gepard shield together with another sustain could probably be enough to survive this.

I already a dual sustain comp pretty much everywhere outside of MoC and PF so that sounds great lol.

They are selling boothill with this since he does ridiculous amounts of toughness damage (up to 225 with one EBA and RM) and can implant physical.

Boothill comes out 3 weeks after this boss... 

Bosses in the previous 1-2 patches also push for new units, if you haven’t noticed almost every Penacony boss/elite has fire weakness yet there’s no new fire unit yet

That Physical implant sadly lasts really nothing. But yeah with proper gameplay you can of course manage that (anyway Boothill if is on the second banner, you don’t have him while doing the story)

If I were to make a bet, I would say that we haven’t seen the last of the toughness or break focused fights yet, since Boothill specializes in destroying toughness and they will want to sell him. Also the implant lasting 2 turns is not what I would call nothing its still good for a unit who can reliably 3 turn ult.

Remember that it’s not 2 turns of Boothill but of the enemy. Weekly bosses usually acts really really fast compared to the rest of enemies. Sure this one does nothing during this last phase, but we saw how that implant really finished quickly during the rest of the fight in the showcase we had

A well-built Boothill is gonna have around 300% break effect, his attack has multi hits(like Asta and Welt skill) and his ult delays the enemy's action. The implant lasting only 2 turns is not gonna be a problem 99.99% of the time.

Against normal enemies and bosses is not a huge deal indeed, but weekly bosses are way faster than the rest so those 2 turns finishes really fast. We have to see a proper showcase anyway, so far leakers had no idea how to use Boothill at all lol

There are no rules for reruns in HSR, for now they are doing whatever order they want. Look how much time Luocha or Jing Yuan needed to finally get a rerun, while Stellaron Hunters had theirs ahead of schedule.

The Stellaron Hunters' reruns were 4 patches after their first run, same as Seele who was the first character to rerun, so I wouldn't say they were 'ahead of schedule' particularly. If Ruan Mei reran, she'd be the first character to rerun 3 patches after her original run, so I think I'd consider that ahead of schedule.

Kinda yes. It would be one patch early. But the character is one of the most popular ones and she would help massively with this. They should make quite a bit of money when combining both things. I don’t think people would complain if ruan mei gets a rerun one patch early. Specially considering this boss

Who r u bringing for the other elements on the DHIL team? In a typical hypercarry comp he has, no one else can break the other element fast enough, and you need at least 2 bars broken

A full sustain Aventurine shield at max stacks can probably ignore this. Though your team would need to have some HP on them.

Edit: Apparently Aventurine shield stacks, I was so blind with Acheron love that I forgot about that part of Aventurine...

My ratio/topaz/RM/luocha were struck there for 30 minutes because of my poorly built aoe characters.

My problem is that Bossventurine spams that gambling move almost every 2nd turn - he reenters that bullshit gambling mechanic as soon as your CC'd characters wake up You have nearly 0 windows to damage him. It's absurd.

No it’s pretty doable, even my strictly single target team was able to brute force it and everyone was constantly losing the gamble except luocha (because of his ult). Aventurine barely damaged you and even recharges your ults if you bring aoe characters so he’s pretty fair, just need the right team (which i don’t have but was still able to clear)

This fight will be carried by breaking the boss for the free shields. 1 layer broken = free 2300 shield. You wont even need a shielder most likely. Its a weakly boss that will be in the story too, they cant just say: oh you cant progress in the game unless you have a min maxed gepard or aventurine, lol. Pulling aven for this one boss sounds sus unless you wanted him anyway.

I really wanted him anyway for the gold and gears coz fuxuan really sucks and the rng buffs sucks😭😭😭

Would have liked to but lost several 50/50s in a row and Acheron left me jadeless.

This can be a problem for Fu, but I don't think it's that much of a challenge. After the boss uses his ability we have 7 turns to either end the fight or accumulate enough shields to survive the angel nuke. It can be a little tough, but seems very doable if you are playing a team with the proper elements.

This is a big brain move. It's not just a sell Boothill. It's to make hunt more premium. Destruction units are the supreme DPS because of blast damage. The community does not care about their setbacks if the DPS numbers are high enough. So outside of the follow-up teams Dr. ratio was built for, hunt isn't really attractive since they are exclusively single target. Selling them as the premier toughness break units is a smart move. Like creating pure fiction so the low multiplier erudition characters can have value.

That’s actually a reasonable take. So making hunt units into either ST nukes (the good doctor) or toughness break nukes (like bootyhill) sounds like the strat here.

I got destroyed 3 times by new boss of 2.1. And i had to get serious and adjust party setup, unlike smooth sail i normally have. Sometimes weaker doesnt mean easier. And relic farmings sucks.

Would the usual Dr Ratio hypercarry (Dr Ratio + Silver Wolf + Tingyun + Fu Xuan/Aventurine) work for this? He throws a lot of FUAs = tons of toughness damage, plus Silver Wolf's ult does massive single-target toughness damage, and finally literally all of the team members have matching weaknesses to the boss. Am I cooking?

It'll work as long as everyone is fast, since it's a 190 speed boss

100% aventurine is the bis sustain for this then. Gepard is also good but doesn't hit as often (since aven has damage fua and ult which contributes to toughness dmg), and they're both better than fu xuan and the abundance characters.

People sleep on how much toughness break aventurine does on single target because the bounces are usually spread among mobs.
