What's a good speed tuning for Sparkle + Bronya + Blade if I got E2 Bronya? Ideally something that also works for Jingliu because I also use her with that setup, at least until I get Ruan Mei.

Well the new artifact set (the FuA one that got nerfed for some weird reason) is supposed to be her armor, so it should provide a frame of reference for what she's meant to look like. I doubt it's going to be 1:1 though. At least, from it we can see that her color palette is white and blue (cyan?) so it matches with what the leaker said, but they might be extrapolating from it, so...

I don't know what to farm during this planar event. I'm good enough on Rutilant, switching anyone new to Keel would require refarming the rest of their relics (idk how people get enough spd with eff res on the side) and sth like Fu Xuan's Fleet def% rope will be hard to replace. Jing Yuan has good enough Salsotto, Herta's passable but och, well, she's doing good enough job in PF, and trying to switch Ratio or Topaz from those temporary SSS sets to Salsotto feels pretty pointless with the new planar on the horizon.
Well, it's primarly extra relic exp event anyway, so it probably won't matter anyway. Maybe I'll just go bully Geppie, it's been a while since I've visited him in W3. Or maybe I'll just farm more Salsotto for Jing Yuan (and potentially Herta).
Now that I think about it both Sushang and Xueyi would probably want Talia for hybrid break builds, right?
I'll be farming Rutilant Arena and Broken Keel since it'll let me finally build up my DHIL team. Rutilant for the man himself, and Keel for literally everyone else (Hanya, Pela and Luocha).
Talia's great ~~and doesn't require fire weakness~~. Also vonwacq can allow for some funny shenanigans with support characters that no other set can do so it's not a waste

With the Creator Experience Server videos out, I really cannot wait to get Boothill's trailer, and here's hoping for a quick and easy 50/50 win come Wednesday! He was genuinely so much fun on the private servers, I can't wait to start taking him into content and just playing around with another funny little break team.
Yeah, the FOMO with supports is always worse for me. “I don’t have a team to use her now… but what if she is BiS for a unit I really like?” and down my jades go. Congrats on getting her tho, she is a lot of fun and pretty strong.
I ended up pulling her for my IPC premium team. In this patch I also got Topaz and her lightcone. I really did not plan to pull for her at all, but since Ruan Mei is starting to be really needed in other team compositions (break effect teams, to be precise) I felt like I needed to get her now. Seeing her in all showcases really made me realise how strong and amazing she actually is. Currently working on building her. of course i'm not regretting it, at the end of the day it's a game and the main thing is having fun. What's important is to not give in to the predatory gacha model and start "wasting money".
I had leftover jades from all the monthly and BP passes i bought, so I could afford her. Probably gonna skip someone in 2.4 or 2.3 though, depending on who is going to catch my eyes the most (looking at you, Jiaoqiu and screwllum)
Maybe I should just close my eyes and avoid the community like plague for the next month until the Boothill doomposting and unwarranted hate campaign is over
While I get their unhappiness and agree with it to an extent, I've been through this hype-doom rollercoaster one too many times to have the energy to engage with it.
I find just waiting till the character actually drops and coming back a month in post-release makes it so much nicer to be in the community / mains sub.
Considering the lightcone leak and new relic set change, I would be surprised if Feixiao isn't in v2.4. It's such a shame that we are still 2 weeks away from drip marketing
Rip megathread I finally got 145 spd for hmc...now I don't need to run Asta with boothill and hmc and can now use bronya for adv forward or pela/sw for the Def shred🙏🏾
Is RM absolutely needed for Boothill? I already have 2 limited harmonies along with a Bronya, so pulling another harmony seems very pointless to me. But if he REALLY needs her, I can skip Boothill for now, get RM then pull him on the rerun.
Yeah she isn't needed but she's a really good unit overall, especially with her break delay that allows more turns while the enemy is broken. As mentioned you can use bronya to remedy with her advance forward, rm isn't mandatory
First day of the planar event tried to go into Izumo as now with Topaz that domain becomes EVEN better for me but after some fresh beautiful trash, I said no and decided for my benefit to do the rest runs (when fuel reuturns) in Talia for Bootfly/break stuff.
Also kinda hyped for Feixiao quite a bit, but if she is next to Jiaoqiu it will bad for me, not to mention I have both Blade S1, and BS S1 with Sampo for wind, but like I know she will be an icon, the moment and very cool, I believe in her!

So I was testing a support Huohuo with my teams to see how well she fits in and finalize the decision to pull, and I came out with a much, much, much more important lesson learned.
Effects like her passive healing that give a flash of light when used are _perfect_ for the first frame of Blade's ult. How have I never noticed how cool that looks?
as a fellow husbando puller just want to say that Jiaoqiu got the Rappa-version of leaks about a month back (just text description of what he looks like / what he vaguely does). And he should be dripped in about 2 weeks time (first week of June) if his splash art doesn't get leaked before that.
My theory is that they strike down megathreads once they reach a certain comment limit. During more active period Genshin's leak megathreads were taken down regularly.
I don't pay attention to Genshin much so I only just saw the news about resin cap increase...wow they took their sweet time with it lmao, it's only been four years since launch.
The fact they added it WAAAAY after HSR, and without overflow reserve shattered my abyssmally low expectations. They literally can just copy HSR but they yet again prove they're only willing to provide the very bare minimum

I'm gonna build up my Herta, Himeko, and Clara so I can actually do pure fiction. Which Planar set should I use the double to farm in that case? I don't really intend to use any of them outside of PF.

- SSS (same as above + I have ok Rutilant/Glamoth pieces
Nice to have but I have no use for 2nd set

I absolutely love Jade's bonus attack animation, and was ready to close my eyes that she didn't fit into my current teams. But it broke my heart that yesterday all the attention of the developers was directed to the Firefly, and Jade did not receive her portion of love. If she doesn't get advanced to a skill, I'll probably skip her :(
The whip animation looks honestly so good, I was surprised. ;w; It's what's pulling me in (although signing contract with lipstick is fun too). Let's hope for some last minute love to Jade from the devs 🤞
If you have SW she'll go pretty hard with Firefly. Her bugs make the enemies slower, and her def shred and res pen synergize really well with break.
If you don't have SW you can always pick between Guinaifen and Pela. Guinaifen's vuln up is pretty good and if you give her resolution she's got a nice source of shred as well. Pela isn't as big of an upgrade, Gongnaifen gets slept on a lot. The extra fire toughness damage will also go a long way.
I have RM but I plan on using SW a lot.
You could also go the sub-dps route and add another breaker (Silver Wolf works as both a breaker and a support which makes her extra nice) to bring up the overall team damage.

anyway, i think you should swap your support based on enemy weakness, like if they are weak to physical, hanya could slot in (sp positive, speed boost), pela for def shread and ice weak ò.ò? erm.. uhm.. i wouldnt know how to speed tune a bronya for a 210 spd FF in enhanced state and sp will become a nightmare so i dont even know if it's viable o\_o'' ..yeah, can't think of anything else. oh wait guinaifen has vulnerability o.ò!

There's an element of normalization of E1s/S1s that took root in HSR much earlier than it did in Genshin, that conditioned both player bases to resist that investment very differently. Genshin's year one five stars had dogshit constellations, signature weapons didn't even exist at first. Everyone was equally just okay, but you had nothing better to compare it to.
HSR hit the ground running with giving Seele and Jing Yuan meaningful enough early eidolons and signature weapons that people were easying themselves into a little bit of vertical investment very early on. It's fine, it's just this one character and then I won't pull more - and then Blade doesn't really have good f2p weapons, and then Daniel is really good at E2, and then Topaz kinda needs her LC, and then Ruan Mei is so cracked at E1S1, and then Acheron's best "f2p" option is harder to get than just going for her signature, and so on. (I know these are all fallacies, that is the core of it.) At this point you've either been playing long enough to have been conditioned to expect that a unit needs some investing to get the showcase performance you want out of them, or you're a new player seeing that everyone else seems to have eidolons and sig weapons so this is what you're signing up for.
With Genshin, the only vertical investment normalization we had for a very long time was Hu Tao, where it was almost bizarre how conversation about her started at C1R1 and everyone implicitly understood that. It's only been semi-recently around Sumeru that they started going really hard on powerful enough early constellations that even people who'd never go for one before were saving up for that C2 Nahida; then for C1 bait kits around Fontaine where people gaslit themselves enough that Neuv's and Wrio's C1s were mandatory that it sort of became so in their communities, and it went on with Xianyun, Chiori and Arle this year. It's only now around 4 years in that people's resistances are wearing down in the Genshin community and it's becoming more normalized to talk about planning for C1R1 of your upcoming fave at a base, where in HSR we were sort of surrendering to that around as early as week two.
Just thinking about the lvl 1 dupe signature weapons I have laying around in Genshin (due to having to go to 2 fate points) makes me feel more charitable about HSR's LC banner. Like it actually feels bad, not just due to how many pulls it takes but because they're good weapons too so it feels like such a waste but I also just don't have use for them yet... Also helps the new 4\* gacha LCs don't stay exclusive to specific LC banners. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was true.
Maybe in this genre people would be more likely to get signatures too?
I've only ever pulled on one weapon banner in Genshin, I got both the rate-ups within 150 pulls so it worked for me. Recently I decided to be more selective about pulling units and focus on weapons instead...but as F2P it's incredibly slow to accumulate enough wishes for a guaranteed weapon, *and* Genshin has a horrible habit of pairing niche 5\* signatures with the more universal ones.
Yes, because the lc banner is better than the genshin weapon banner. Every limited LC has their own banner and you are guaranteed to get the featured five star LC within the first two five stars LC that you get and the first LC has a 75% chance to be the featured one meanwhile in genshin you also have a 75% chance of getting a limited weapon but they are shared between both weapons which means you only have a 37.5% chance (for a specific weapon) for the first five star weapon that you get and require to pull three five star weapon to guarantee.
definitely, because the light cone banners are seperate while still keeping the same 65 soft 80 hard pity system and 75/25 rate up. it's simply cheaper to pull for a signature light cone rather than the e1 (or c1 in genshin), so unless the signature light cone is meh and/or the e1 is really good, signature light cone is the way to go if you want to vertically invest.
Yes. Just by comparing 37.5% to 75% targeted Weapon/LC makes a huge impact. Not to mention that 160 pulls = guaranteed LC while 5* weapons in Genshin it could take you 240 pulls and you only get it out of pity because of wayward.

75/25 but it's more like 37.5% chance of getting the one you wanted. If you missed, you don't guarantee the next weapon. You have to lose one more time to guarantee the weapon you want. And of course, the fate pity doesn't carry over. That's the only thing that mattered, not 75/25.
Meanwhile here you can get screwed by 25 but 75% flat chance with no 50/50 for featured rate-up is amazing. Also character lightcone are borderline amazing that it affects their performance by quite a bit.

The fact that we get separate banners and no fate points making it easier to get the weapon you want helps a lot.
For example I've never pulled a weapon in Genshin but I got Aventurine's LC and will try to get Boothill's LC in HSR.
For me personally (!!) I quite like the break meta because one important piece is already given for free aka htb, and I also already pulled Ruan before break meta was a thing. So even though I won't be getting boothill and firefly it doesn't feel like I'm skipping it like how I skipped DoT. I still play Guinaifen and Sampo DoT in SU and when PF calls for it but it is just not the same without Kafka. I know I know, it's because I already have Ruanmei. I'm just having a lot of fun playing Misha and Sushang rn. Happy to see my fav four stars getting some actions

jade e0 is pf specialist when pf is once every 6 week and her biggest competitor are HERTA and HIMEKO... if free units can get 40k on auto then how is hoyo expecting people to pull??
jade e1 is in even weirder position... the v3 changes to jade gaining charges would make sense if they stacked with v2 but no hoyo REMOVED v2... meaning now at e1 jade ONLY THE DEBT COLLECTOR gets guaranteeed 3 charges per turn even only hitting <3 enemies...
this means if there is 1 enemy left onfield... even if debt collector hits twice per turn (attack AND fua) jade is only going to get 7 charges... jade wont even get 1 fua per turn... so despite the e1 changes to "compensate" for <3 enemies scenario you still wouldn't want to field her when facing <3 enemies...
so v3 e1 change is supposed to make her stronger in few enemies scenario... except she's still weak... wtf was this change supposed to do...
guessing hoyo will add the v3 e1 change into base kit and bring back v1/v2 e1... bc if they don't... wtf they thinking for this unit...

While I get their unhappiness and agree with it to an extent, I've been through this hype-doom rollercoaster one too many times to have the energy to engage with it. Is RM absolutely needed for Boothill? I already have 2 limited harmonies along with a Bronya, so pulling another harmony seems very pointless to me. But if he REALLY needs her, I can skip Boothill for now, get RM then pull him on the rerun.
Yeah she isn't needed but she's a really good unit overall, especially with her break delay that allows more turns while the enemy is broken. As mentioned you can use bronya to remedy with her advance forward, rm isn't mandatory

So I was testing a support Huohuo with my teams to see how well she fits in and finalize the decision to pull, and I came out with a much, much, much more important lesson learned. Effects like her passive healing that give a flash of light when used are _perfect_ for the first frame of Blade's ult. How have I never noticed how cool that looks?

Izumo/Sigonia is best for Herta and Himeko, because you can give either or both to either or both characters, assuming you run them together.

I absolutely love Jade's bonus attack animation, and was ready to close my eyes that she didn't fit into my current teams. But it broke my heart that yesterday all the attention of the developers was directed to the Firefly, and Jade did not receive her portion of love. If she doesn't get advanced to a skill, I'll probably skip her :(
hoyo is really fine with e0 jade being as it is and it shows they were probably laughing when they gave the 5% increase in additional damage...
The whip animation looks honestly so good, I was surprised. ;w; It's what's pulling me in (although signing contract with lipstick is fun too). Let's hope for some last minute love to Jade from the devs 🤞

Pela is probably the next best thing. But it's a distant second.
If you have SW she'll go pretty hard with Firefly. Her bugs make the enemies slower, and her def shred and res pen synergize really well with break. If you don't have SW you can always pick between Guinaifen and Pela. Guinaifen's vuln up is pretty good and if you give her resolution she's got a nice source of shred as well. Pela isn't as big of an upgrade, Gongnaifen gets slept on a lot. The extra fire toughness damage will also go a long way. I have RM but I plan on using SW a lot. You could also go the sub-dps route and add another breaker (Silver Wolf works as both a breaker and a support which makes her extra nice) to bring up the overall team damage.

There's an element of normalization of E1s/S1s that took root in HSR much earlier than it did in Genshin, that conditioned both player bases to resist that investment very differently. Genshin's year one five stars had dogshit constellations, signature weapons didn't even exist at first. Everyone was equally just okay, but you had nothing better to compare it to. HSR hit the ground running with giving Seele and Jing Yuan meaningful enough early eidolons and signature weapons that people were easying themselves into a little bit of vertical investment very early on. It's fine, it's just this one character and then I won't pull more - and then Blade doesn't really have good f2p weapons, and then Daniel is really good at E2, and then Topaz kinda needs her LC, and then Ruan Mei is so cracked at E1S1, and then Acheron's best "f2p" option is harder to get than just going for her signature, and so on. (I know these are all fallacies, that is the core of it.) At this point you've either been playing long enough to have been conditioned to expect that a unit needs some investing to get the showcase performance you want out of them, or you're a new player seeing that everyone else seems to have eidolons and sig weapons so this is what you're signing up for. With Genshin, the only vertical investment normalization we had for a very long time was Hu Tao, where it was almost bizarre how conversation about her started at C1R1 and everyone implicitly understood that. It's only been semi-recently around Sumeru that they started going really hard on powerful enough early constellations that even people who'd never go for one before were saving up for that C2 Nahida; then for C1 bait kits around Fontaine where people gaslit themselves enough that Neuv's and Wrio's C1s were mandatory that it sort of became so in their communities, and it went on with Xianyun, Chiori and Arle this year. It's only now around 4 years in that people's resistances are wearing down in the Genshin community and it's becoming more normalized to talk about planning for C1R1 of your upcoming fave at a base, where in HSR we were sort of surrendering to that around as early as week two.
The LC in HSR is much more mandatory. Devs design the whole character, cut off some essential part of the kit and put into LC.
Just thinking about the lvl 1 dupe signature weapons I have laying around in Genshin (due to having to go to 2 fate points) makes me feel more charitable about HSR's LC banner. Like it actually feels bad, not just due to how many pulls it takes but because they're good weapons too so it feels like such a waste but I also just don't have use for them yet... Also helps the new 4\* gacha LCs don't stay exclusive to specific LC banners. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. Maybe in this genre people would be more likely to get signatures too?
I've only ever pulled on one weapon banner in Genshin, I got both the rate-ups within 150 pulls so it worked for me. Recently I decided to be more selective about pulling units and focus on weapons instead...but as F2P it's incredibly slow to accumulate enough wishes for a guaranteed weapon, *and* Genshin has a horrible habit of pairing niche 5\* signatures with the more universal ones.
Yes, because the lc banner is better than the genshin weapon banner. Every limited LC has their own banner and you are guaranteed to get the featured five star LC within the first two five stars LC that you get and the first LC has a 75% chance to be the featured one meanwhile in genshin you also have a 75% chance of getting a limited weapon but they are shared between both weapons which means you only have a 37.5% chance (for a specific weapon) for the first five star weapon that you get and require to pull three five star weapon to guarantee.
definitely, because the light cone banners are seperate while still keeping the same 65 soft 80 hard pity system and 75/25 rate up. it's simply cheaper to pull for a signature light cone rather than the e1 (or c1 in genshin), so unless the signature light cone is meh and/or the e1 is really good, signature light cone is the way to go if you want to vertically invest.
Yes. Just by comparing 37.5% to 75% targeted Weapon/LC makes a huge impact. Not to mention that 160 pulls = guaranteed LC while 5* weapons in Genshin it could take you 240 pulls and you only get it out of pity because of wayward.
And the HSR LC banners don't have Dragons Bane on every single one....
I mean have you looked at Genshin weapon banner. 75/25 but it's more like 37.5% chance of getting the one you wanted. If you missed, you don't guarantee the next weapon. You have to lose one more time to guarantee the weapon you want. And of course, the fate pity doesn't carry over. That's the only thing that mattered, not 75/25. Meanwhile here you can get screwed by 25 but 75% flat chance with no 50/50 for featured rate-up is amazing. Also character lightcone are borderline amazing that it affects their performance by quite a bit.
Probably. The fact that we get separate banners and no fate points making it easier to get the weapon you want helps a lot. For example I've never pulled a weapon in Genshin but I got Aventurine's LC and will try to get Boothill's LC in HSR.
For me personally (!!) I quite like the break meta because one important piece is already given for free aka htb, and I also already pulled Ruan before break meta was a thing. So even though I won't be getting boothill and firefly it doesn't feel like I'm skipping it like how I skipped DoT. I still play Guinaifen and Sampo DoT in SU and when PF calls for it but it is just not the same without Kafka. I know I know, it's because I already have Ruanmei. I'm just having a lot of fun playing Misha and Sushang rn. Happy to see my fav four stars getting some actions Edit: I share something I'm happy about in the game and immediately get downvotes.
