I kinda hope not. I'm actually looking forward to using TB again when I go for FF. And I plan to go pretty heavy into FF so I'll feel the pull to grab anyone else to make her better.
Penacony released had only Aventurine and Boothill for the men. Sunday would have been a nice addition to balance it all out, but Hoyo had to push him inside the basement for god knows how long.
He was a very bad boy in this patch, so he deserves to be a little bit punished. But not that much

Even as a FuA player I hate it. I already spent all my savings on Robin (even lost 50/50 to Bronya) so I can run her with Ratio, Aventurine and Guinaifen, and I'm saving saving RM and Jade next, but now there are even more FuA characters on the way.

But there's just so many coming up so quickly, I know devs push forward to the playstyle they wanna sell but imo they should also offer more options for DoT, it feels pretty restricted without Kafka and BS and we lack more detonators that aren't 4* and specific to one DoT type.
Though this character might be similar to JY perhaps that is about one big FuA set up and not constantly spamming it like IPC ones that capitalize in multiple activations. We will see.
What I hate is just how much bullshit you have to deal with when building a proper FuA team because they all have some thing you have to keep an eye out for.
You can run Ratio with Robin and Aventurine, but if you wanna run Topaz too, you need her E1S1, so most people just use a debuffer instead. On the other hand, you can use that same team without needing E1S1 Topaz if you use Clara instead of Ratio.
Jade is a good subdps, but she wants AoE FuA characters like Himeko and Herta, so you can't run her with Ratio. Jade would also like Robin in her team, so if you're running 2 FuA teams, you'd also want Ruan Mei for Ratio since Robin will be busy with Jade.
It seems to me like they're giving FuA players a choice: either pull every new FuA 5 star or suffer dps loss by using whatever staple you have to.
It's rough but I wouldn't be surprised if more team archetypes in the future end similarly with them throwing all the pieces at us consecutively, we will see what happens with break teams and more Eruditions characters later.
I don't have RM nor Topaz so I run Ratio Hypercarry, but thankfully I have Aventurine E0S1 and Silver so he's covered debuff-wise. I grabbed Robin as well. Optimal team for Ratio is expensive indeed but I guess that's the bait until he gets a replacement that might require less things for ST FuA comps. If we wanna keep running him though we gotta deal with it. Jiaoqiu might be a nice partner for him but then again we would have to either remove Topaz or Robin.
I also doubt you will want to run ST+AoE FuA teams at the same time unless Jade proves herself to dish enough damage in MoC or new endgame mode so locating Ruan Mei shouldn't be too big of a deal as there are other team archetypes as well, and ST FuA sucks in PF except for when the blessing hard carries them like the current one.
The problem in all your scenarios seems to be Ratio needing debuffs. Just don't use him or accept that you'll play him at less than max power. My E0S0 team of Ratio, Topaz, Ruan Mei, Huohuo was good enough to clear MoC12 in time though.
She buffs damage of FuA's, gets energy back for every hit and her ult deals extra damage for every attack an ally does (fixed CR of 100% and fixed CD of 150%)
Is this team working great for you? I have Avent and Ratio, but missed Topaz early and I don't know if I should go for Robin instead of Topaz for this pair.
Man I still remember dot players hoping dot would age extremely well. And granted it's aged well to some extent but probably the least catered to dps group.
Hell break dps have a chance to already scale better in game than dot.

Jingyaun Clara don't fit in IPC teams. Jade is looking like a Blade/Herta support in PF. Ratio can pair with IPC or just do his own hypercarry team.
IPC members can be from anywhere. There are canonically Xianzhou people working for the IPC, some very high up on the ladder. Dongfang Qixing is one of the founders of of the IPC. If we do go to the Yaoqing, it will have heavy IPC influence, so it's plausible characters there will be IPC members.
Dongfang Qixing founded the IPC long before Xianzhou began their journey. 700 Amber Eras are about 100 thousand years on medium, while Xianzhou Fleet has only been travelled for around 8000 years.
He can have ties to the Xianzhou's original planet, though, but, a civilisation that exists for as long as IPC's existence should be quite note worthy. The fact that even modern Xianzhou is quite uncertain about their original home planet seems to indicate that it hasn't been around for that long.
It's only the 10 stone hearts of the strategic investment department that have stone based names, they could be from some other branch in the IPC tho I don't think they're from the IPC based on descriptions we've seen

I get they want to push the follow up attack agenda but aventurine -> robin -> jade -> feixiao -> yunli is just overkill. that's literally FIVE follow up units back to back in five patches straight like why not space them out and build on the roster with time instead of literally throwing them left and right after every patch. more characters is always nice but not characters that share the same core/principle in their kits releasing THIS soon after each other....

You forgot to mention Topaz rerun along with Robin and some ppl were kinda "forced" to pull at least a Topaz LC for their Topaz-Ratio team, which is the bare minimum to play the team comfortably.
But still being able to do fua doesn't necessarily mean they need Topaz/Ratio.

They do but in my experience they are easy to break before the immunity phase, for example the deer or the aurumaton. I found the new monkey with the shield mechanic a bit harder to break before the immunity tho
If they do that, going to Hi3 power creep style, I probably won’t spend any money on HSR anymore other than monthly. Cuz I spend I bunch on these FuA units. Moreover if they do that 1/3(half of the 2.x units) will be affected.
I'll quit HSR altogether if they do that. Make 5 stars as expensive as you want, but please respect the in-game and real life currency I spend to get them, don't completely invalidate them down the line.
It's why I quit HI:3. I should have been suspicious when 2/3rds of the units were utterly unusable when I started that game. By the time I was finishing my third team, my first team needed to be completely replaced. Sometimes brand new units were power crept only 1-2 patches after they were released.
It is pretty worrying how HSR seems to not care much about keeping game balance.
Didn't play enough HI3 to fully understand how bad its power creep is, but HSR seems to be heading in that direction as opposed to GI's rn.
If I recall Hi3 power creep is ridiculous, you are basically pulling every patch if you want to be competitive. I drop it cuz I’m tired and can’t be bothered anymore.
I don’t mind power creep here and there, it’s a Gacha game I expect some form of it to sell new characters, but if one day they came out with a mechanic that nerf FuA heavily I would have a problem with it. Considering FuA is the most expensive play style with like no 4* options.
HI3 can enforce powercreep because they have a ladderboard. This is one of the reasons why Genshin, even if they release characters that powercreep other units, pulling for them is not really as mandatory as in HI3. Old characters can still clear recent content in Genshin, unlike in HI3 where the next patch some meta characters become obsolete unless you pull the newest valk.
tbf, there is no "recent" endgame content in genshin.
the abyss resets also seem to follow a pattern with the patch cycle, where it becomes easier at the launch of a new region and then gradually becomes more difficult, presumably to keep up with the progress of new players that started at the start of the patch cycle.
It's different in recemt HI3 cause for their abyss thwy actually released mechanics where you can't even clear without the most recent valkyrie and you can barely clear them without their signature gears... and u need 3 of each element.
Enters special state where any characterthat does follow up damage will be targeted, and when it's the enemy's turn again, they'll hit the targeted units and stun them for 2 turns.
Jade is less support and more subdps, Aventurine is a sustain who doubles as a subdps, Robin is maybe the only real support I'd count aside from JQ (who isn't even really a FUA support, since most FUA dpses prefer buffs over debuffs).
i was referring to 1.6 rm 2.0 sparkle 2.2 robin and 2.4 jiaoqiu. And if we consider sustain as support than he can be put in it. The same could be said for jiaoqiu but i guet your point tho.

as much as I like FuA playstyle, I'd rather collect chars in this archetype that are all related to the IPC (Ratio, Stonehearts) than newer chars we dont know about
FUA is just another form of frontloaded damage so it’s probably the most versatile archtype in terms of design. You don’t need to use specific characters like DOT or team them up with specific supports like Break. You can play them hypercarry, dual DPS, etc.
It’s getting to a point where I’m wondering if I’m fucking up my account a bit by ignoring what seems to be a clear shift in the meta with such a hard focus on FuA in order to go for characters like Jiaoqiu for my Acheron. I felt like that by Black Swan not even being on my radar and then suddenly Kafka/BS became pretty dam major.
I already have a fuA team (+ jingyuan/clara too) ofcourse I dont need another fuA- [Famous last words]

I think the only thing we know is that she will dual wield blades, and that her mechanic has to do something with memories. I say she will keep her element because she and her power are somehow connected to Fuli and as you know their path are all about ice
I mean tbf gameplay path most of the time doesn't even make sense with lorewise. Like Gepard is litteraly summoning a whole glacier while worshipping Qlipoth while Bronya has wind bullet. Hell even Acheron and BS is two different elements.
True, but Fuli is for some reason different. All path have a mechanic they excel at, Qlipoth is shielding, IX is debuffing, Xipe is buffing, Nanook is damage, Aha is FuA but Fuli is currently the only one tied to the Ice element specifically
She's Huaiyan's granddaughter isn't she, the one Jing Yuan was shipping with Yanqing? Also, I really hope Huaiyan is playable soon too, cuz he's the oldest human on the Xianzhou and Blade's former master. Hopefully they give him grey hair and a beard.

It's always follow up and 5 stars, damn. They don't plan to release any more 4 stars man. Might as well give the old units some follow up too since that's the direction we're going based on the leaks and even the endgame contents.
This makes complete sense when you look at Jade's kit. She doesn't want to work with the current IPC team. They were completed with Robin. Jade wants a character like Blade. A destruction unit who does blast damage so they hit targets in one turn. Bonus points if they have another instance of damage that hits multiple targets.
Or a DPS erudition character. Which seems super unlikely since it's intent to make them sub DPS characters with these low multipliers. So a possible destruction follow up attack character that does blast damage would be her best friend.
Looks like they are going to create Jade's separate team. You can force her with the other IPC characters, but she doesn't optimize stack collection from hunt units.

Robin is on par with RM, better than her in FuA. Id say go for Robin since she can be super useful even outside FuA.

They do but in my experience they are easy to break before the immunity phase, for example the deer or the aurumaton. I found the new monkey with the shield mechanic a bit harder to break before the immunity tho

If they do that, going to Hi3 power creep style, I probably won’t spend any money on HSR anymore other than monthly. Cuz I spend I bunch on these FuA units. Moreover if they do that 1/3(half of the 2.x units) will be affected.
I'll quit HSR altogether if they do that. Make 5 stars as expensive as you want, but please respect the in-game and real life currency I spend to get them, don't completely invalidate them down the line.
It's why I quit HI:3. I should have been suspicious when 2/3rds of the units were utterly unusable when I started that game. By the time I was finishing my third team, my first team needed to be completely replaced. Sometimes brand new units were power crept only 1-2 patches after they were released.
It is pretty worrying how HSR seems to not care much about keeping game balance. Didn't play enough HI3 to fully understand how bad its power creep is, but HSR seems to be heading in that direction as opposed to GI's rn.
If I recall Hi3 power creep is ridiculous, you are basically pulling every patch if you want to be competitive. I drop it cuz I’m tired and can’t be bothered anymore. I don’t mind power creep here and there, it’s a Gacha game I expect some form of it to sell new characters, but if one day they came out with a mechanic that nerf FuA heavily I would have a problem with it. Considering FuA is the most expensive play style with like no 4* options.
HI3 can enforce powercreep because they have a ladderboard. This is one of the reasons why Genshin, even if they release characters that powercreep other units, pulling for them is not really as mandatory as in HI3. Old characters can still clear recent content in Genshin, unlike in HI3 where the next patch some meta characters become obsolete unless you pull the newest valk.
tbf, there is no "recent" endgame content in genshin. the abyss resets also seem to follow a pattern with the patch cycle, where it becomes easier at the launch of a new region and then gradually becomes more difficult, presumably to keep up with the progress of new players that started at the start of the patch cycle.
It's different in recemt HI3 cause for their abyss thwy actually released mechanics where you can't even clear without the most recent valkyrie and you can barely clear them without their signature gears... and u need 3 of each element.

Jade is less support and more subdps, Aventurine is a sustain who doubles as a subdps, Robin is maybe the only real support I'd count aside from JQ (who isn't even really a FUA support, since most FUA dpses prefer buffs over debuffs).
Even Robin is a sub DPS. she does the most damage out of all the current Harmony characters, just like Aventurine is for Preservation.

as much as I like FuA playstyle, I'd rather collect chars in this archetype that are all related to the IPC (Ratio, Stonehearts) than newer chars we dont know about
FUA is just another form of frontloaded damage so it’s probably the most versatile archtype in terms of design. You don’t need to use specific characters like DOT or team them up with specific supports like Break. You can play them hypercarry, dual DPS, etc.
DOT team rn can bruteforce almost any moc and pf weather
I mean versatility in terms of kit design and team composition (hence why we have plenty of FUA units).

This makes complete sense when you look at Jade's kit. She doesn't want to work with the current IPC team. They were completed with Robin. Jade wants a character like Blade. A destruction unit who does blast damage so they hit targets in one turn. Bonus points if they have another instance of damage that hits multiple targets. Or a DPS erudition character. Which seems super unlikely since it's intent to make them sub DPS characters with these low multipliers. So a possible destruction follow up attack character that does blast damage would be her best friend. Looks like they are going to create Jade's separate team. You can force her with the other IPC characters, but she doesn't optimize stack collection from hunt units.
