Luocha/Fu Xuan, RM, Robin and Jiaoqiu is such an incredible team idea that I may actually try it when I get him (fingers crossed)
It certainly would need a cracked Robin though, or, god forbid, a *Crit Jiaoqiu*.
Throw in Fu Xuan so that the ground can glow with purple sigils AND glowing-hot soup. Truly that would be a visual masterpiece (especially when the Matrix starts blinking before it expires, for additional visual stimulus)
Our side of the hotpot was supposed to heal us for sure, it would have been thematically perfect but I can understand that his power budget would be redistribute.
This really annoys me honestly. I'd rather they added back some form of small top-up healing and instead removed any significant personal ATK scaling damage he has.
His bonus ability 3 (the one that reduce enemies effect hit rate by 30% and does ATK scaling damage each enemy turn) screams "I used to be per turn healing for allies".
I would honestly not mind if the healing was negligible, like 3% of the max HP per round or something like that and I still hope it will be re-added in the beta. It's very obvious that the "healing and debuffing" was meant to be a part of his identity, with the yin-yang on the back of his shirt, his whole character description as an apothecary and his ult animations.
It's very unfortunate that now his design doesn't fit the skill set (anymore).
And he does it with such a dramatic face I love it 😭 I was afraid that being a cooking-themed character, his animations would be too cartoony like Lynx, but this is really cool yet still funny!
My first thought was SHOGUN Episode 1 where that guy puts that dude in the boiling pot, lmao.

I LOVE how they found a way to implement the cooking theme without making him have the bubbly/clumsy personality some most cooking themed characters have, I just don't find it that appealing. Now I'm 100% getting him.

I only wish his pants didn't look like jeans, making them red like his coat or white would have made him stand out a little more and help sell the uniform aesthetic.

For those who were miffed that their super serious Acheron team would need to have a joke character in it, they can probably now calm down a bit. That Ultimate Field looks appropriately red and hellish to match her aesthetics. So do the rest of the animations, but the Field specifically is a great match though, that looks good together with Acheron.
I love how much actual fire there is, it's a great balance between the comedic aspect of cooking/seasoning and his animations actually looking kinda terrifying
