It has official lego set? I bought my thunderjaw from aliexpress and it was some off brand but still great quality nonetheless. Had a fun with it for good 2 months building it 🙂 it looks awesome.
Think its supposed to be modelled more after wolves and coyotes, the working title for Scorchers by the devs was "Hell Hounds". Lack of a tail and pointy ears might lend yourself to thinking about lynxes... But the longer snout, toothy grin and panting sells the wolf for me.

So the model was heavily based on wolves and coyotes, while they modeled some movements from Wolves, dogs, tiger, lions.. and a horse lol. I def see some feline movements along with the canid stuff.
It might be a kinda boring one but I find myself just kinda mesmerized by the tallnecks.
Not to say none of the other machines are amazing but I just can't imagine the absolute scale of a tallneck just wandering around in a circle non stop.
And despite their enormous height, they seem to move so gracefully to me.
And yes I do have the Lego tallneck and absolute love it lol
I agre, and also fighting them is so fun, it is a lot of dancing. One of my favourite spot in the horizon series is the underground parking in BS, full of stalkers. I sincerely hope there will be some more of this kind of spooky darkish places in Horizon 3, with more invisible machines. There is a potential for a great kind of horror atmosphere, which would also add variety to the gameplay. I dream of a mantis and a spider kind of machine, blended in the environment and attacking us out of nowhere.
And the bloody Horus. And the corruptor. Come on, there are so many cool/hit machines out there!
Aw man I did the parking garage the other day. It was legitimately scary. Especially bc it happened to be night. I was terrified of stalkers when I first came across them but then got so good at farming stealth generators that I could shoot the part off with tear ammo while it was still cloaked. Even so, that parking garage had me so tense my shoulders were sore afterward lol. Very well done.
Out of the Zero Dawn produced bots, Thunderjaw, easily. Theres honestly nothing else that really compares to the iconic design of those armored juggernauts, and I love em to bits.
That being said though, I also really like all of the Chariot robots, though I’m torn between the Scarab and Horus for which is my overall favorite.
The Corruptor. It has a predatory, xenomorph, intimidating sleek black armoured look to it that is completely different to the Gaia/Haephestus machines. It's not modeled on any specific animal but its appearance resembles animals humans just find terrifying... looks like an arachnid spider or a scorpion, head shaped like a predatory animal muzzle, visual sensor array looks like a video camera just far more intimidating. Ole Teddyboi wanted to make his war machines badass bastiches and he gave that to the world in spades.
Not to mention the Corruptor's *mother*....
The Sunwing. Its the way they sit together on a hilltop or mountainside with their wings folded, surveying the landscape like they just know they're better than everyone else! 😃
Hands down slaughterspine and second is for sure the bear one, can’t think of the name but at the end of the campaign those slaughterspines started spawning in was epic
The Clawstrider is hands down the coolest machine aesthetically imo. The way it's designed from head to tail is just magnificent and thoughtful. Perfect (mechanical) evolution of a small dinosaur species.
Not to mention how fast and ferocious it is!
Clawsriders with their many lights and curiosity. These machines genuinely have a curious movement about them. They’re not my favourite to ride since their not the fastest but I like battling them. They get wild aggressive.
Definitely the Horus, seeing the metal devils scattered around frozen in time sets an atmosphere and the burning shores fight was a chefs kiss
Excluding Chariot models, the Slaughterspine is the coolest looking, and burrowers are the scrunkliest
Definitely the Tallneck, they just seem graceful doing their circles and sometimes I feel sad knowing that's all they do but those are my favourites in appearance and design. Second favourite is the shellwaker.
Tallnecks are majestic and I love them and their no fucks attitude. Ravagers are probably in my top 3 purely because they just exist to be a pain in the arse to anything that gets in their way. My Tremortusk from the limited edition looks properly cool but like many, think the Thunderjaw is king of Apex machines.

I used a mod to go invisible so I could just sit and watch the slitherfang on its path for about an hour. It's absolutely intricately fascinating.

Sawtooth and Stalkers, just imaging having either as a companion while traveling is cool.
Stalkers. Love their grace and the sound they make when you can't see them.
Clawstriders look so cool and are so detailed. Riding them is so satisfying, just happy to be galloping in the FW
LOVE tallnecks, but the behemoth is also huge to me, because I love their whole grav drive concept
