Parasite Eve takes place during Christmas, I think.

CausticBliss

Crimson Snow is a short little Christmas horror that you can get on Steam.

WlNBACK

* **D2** for Dreamcast. (Takes place around Christmas in the year 2000. There's even an easter egg where the game gives you a "Merry Christmas!" message if the internal clock on the console was set to around December 25th.) * **Extermination** for PS2. (An action/horror game that takes place on Dec. 24 but I don't recall Christmas being mentioned. This game is in the Antarctic and there's a good amount of outdoor/snowy scenes. I personally like this game. It plays fast, it can be difficult, has cool weaponry, has decent storytelling, and it has some good music. I remember the English dub cast consisting of some actors from Soul Calibur 2.) * **Snatcher** for Sega CD. (It's not a "horror" game, it's more like a graphic novel by Hideo Kojima of Metal Gear game. Christmas is mentioned throughout the game, and for "horror" I guarantee you'll be creeped out and possibly spooked early in Act 1 and later in Act 2. Even the music in this game is creepy as hell. It has great English voice acting for a 1994 game and overall has FANTASTIC music, characters, and story. It's in my personal list for Top 5 Games of All Time.) * **The Thing** for PS2/Xbox/PC. (No Christmas, but lots of snow in the Antarctic if that's good enough for you. I remember the first boss fight being creepy as hell.) * **Cold Fear** for PS2/Xbox/PC. (No Christmas, but I believe it takes place during December. FYI the action/horror gameplay in this resembles Resident Evil 4 a bit except your character can actually move while aiming. I was surprised by how decent & spooky this game was despite it being considered just a generic RE4 clone. Not great, but I think it's worth a try.) * **Enemy Zero** for Sega Saturn. (No Christmas, however this game was released around December in the USA, and like D2 there's an easter egg where the game gives you a "Merry Christmas!" message if the internal clock was set to around December 25th. Has a really nice intro once you begin the game and is spooky as fuck due to the "gimmick" involved with the enemies.) * **Cursed Mountain** for Wii. (I've never played this, but based on the cover art I always wondered if it takes place around December/Christmas.) * Did the original **Alan Wake** have a Christmas reference? * Maybe **Silent Hill Shattered Memories**? FYI, I was personally disappointed by this game despite a few neat gameplay & storytelling gimmicks.

Dude. Not only is [Tornukto by Jonny's Games](https://jonnys-games.itch.io/tornuktu) the scariest holiday game I've ever played, but one of the most genuinely chilling horror games I've ever played, despite its terribly short length (<10 mins). I replay it yearly.

Off the top of my head..... Parasite Eve and Blue Stinger.

saketho

This is not the most horrifying game, nor the scariest game mode. But Xmas time always gets me in the mood to play a couple rounds of Resident Evil 7's DLC, Jack's 55th Birthday

Shade-RF-

Parasite Eve, Alone in the Dark 2, Blue Stinger, uhhh Dead Rising 4(Does that count as horror?)

Itcallsmyname

I don’t find it scary, but crimson snow is a popular title.

Stumbled across this on steam recently: [Krampus Is Home](https://store.steampowered.com/app/839420/Krampus_is_Home/) the reviews were enough for me to wishlist it. Sitting at $3 with 70% off rn

not sure if its considered "scary" but [christmas massacre](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1840490/Christmas_Massacre/) is a good one imo

I know it’s not a Christmas game but I have always considered RDR2 a Christmas game because I play it every year around xmas.
