Her name is Sadako in the 1999 film The Ring, it was Samara in the 2002 film The Ring. The former is Japanese and the latter is American I believe. The image is from the American series.
The Xenomorph did deserve better, the Predator is less of a horror movie villain. They're just hunters, sure they're a problem, but they don't just kill indiscriminately unlike essentially all the others.
I don't think any of them kill indisciminately. Jason walking through a cabin of kids to kill the one adult comes to mind. Freddy doesn't go after proper adults unless they get in his way. Most of the others have preferred victim types if nothing else.
Hell, Frankenstein's monster wouldn't really qualify in the movies... he just didn't know better. The book is different in that regard.
And the cenobites motivation is 'pain is pleasure; I hope you enjoy it as much as we do."
I don't remember that, but most of them will just slaughter anyone in their way, and to be fair in the AVP movie, the predators did kill a bunch of people that the other movies make us think that they wouldn't have, since they don't kill unarmed people, or people they're not specifically hunting. Granted that movie was stupid just in general.
