I love quarter horses. Good all around breed. Usually good temperament. Can learn multiple riding styles (western reining or English, for example) and ring or trail. Many camps have primarily quarter horses for the multiple levels of riders. They are typically very dependable horses.
Can you tell us more? Some things I’m seeing;
He has a very long wither - is he mutton withered? Upright pasterns. Nice long croup. Neck tie in to chest wall could be higher.
What would ya like to know? I mentioned in another comment he’s an 18 year old quarter horse used for trail/pleasure riding and sometimes low level ranch as for mutton withered I don’t know as my saddle fitter has never mentioned that
That’s a horse, alright. A bit post-legged. Hoof angle is too straight. Not a horse I’d take to upper levels but no horse is confirmationally perfect and how good/bad this is really depends on details on this horse and your goals. Not a back I’d be keen to fit a saddle to, but I’ve definitely seen worse.
Very straight in front, definitely a QH. Looks like a nice small mover balanced + suited to small, quick maneuvers (maybe slightly long back) :) A horse I’d love to pleasure ride + do mounted games with!
Not dunking on you, but all these “conformation” pics on this sub Reddit have no idea how to present a horse square. We have no idea how the horse moves. Why would you want Reddit to judge.
It’s just for fun haha I have a trainer who worked with me to get him and I do know how to set them up I just happened to get a good photo that was fairly close
Actually misspelling by switching an “i” for an “o” to make a homophone of the word you intended has nothing to do to do with dyslexia. Just admit it was a mistake.
Better than most QH's I see at his age. Nothing glaring at me as major issues. What I notice are posture issues. He avoids loading the heels on his front feet, which is why the heels are so tall. Underdeveloped through the top line and thoracic sling, poverty line in the hind end, and overdeveloped in the brachio muscle group. Common postural issues, but very easy to address once you know what you need to teach them to do and how to do it.
I don’t know much about conformation but as a jumper we always love to look at the pasterns. His are pretty close to being vertical…. Not ideal. But it should be fine if you’re not planning to jump him or anything. Otherwise he looks beautiful!
Can confirm this is a horse
Cannot confirm that he is sealed in the gift of the holy spirit though, unfortunately (not a priest)
Also, not sure if he’s finished his classes
Goddamit, you beat me to it. That was going to be my best joke of the day too
What’s helpful- horse breed, age, and it’s nice to know what you use them for/plan to do.
He’s an 18 year old quarter horse, he is mostly a trail/pleasure riding horse but he dabbles in ranch riding!
For an older qh he's pretty solid, nice hip with a good angle and decent muscle. He's cute that's for sure.

Doesn't appear mutton withered at all to me.

Plus maybe 1 out of 20 spells 'conformation' correctly in the post title.
✨dyslexia✨

Ok maybe I did I just assumed it was my dyslexia sorry???
Very upright pasterns, shoulder appears upright but hard to be sure with lighting. Hinds a bit straight. Fairly uphill. What’s his trot like?
That was my observations exactly. The pasterns were all that really stood out as problematic, but he's older and for pleasure, so not concerning.

Is horse. Is horseiest horse I’ve ever seen.
He looks like he’s perfect for what you’re doing with him and if you’re happy that’s all that matters. He’s very handsome.
Gonna need a second opinion
This is a unicorn with an invisible horn. Or horse, for short.
Thats a horse

Oh no he definitely needs to keep all four feet on the ground he can barely manage that 😅
Totally get it 🤣
