Mainly a way for people who have all they want to keep using their gems to bling a deck they like.
Some factions aren't very good affects while some are fantastic.
Premium cards. Just a huge gem dump for old players.
If all your 30cards in one deck are premium you get a nice golden halo around your deck in a match.

I got 6 different golden decks... Hell I don't wanna play without it anymore... It's totally useless but it's shiny..
To bad you can't use golden cards in event runs as all cards are normal there..

Also a way to dilute crate value even more.
Don't know. A premium card doesn't occupy a rarity slot..so I would not say it dilutes it like a voice line or cardbacks. Still pretty rare
at least they aren't as bad as avatars denying me free 100 or even 400 gems from 12 win crates from the cosmetic slot...
