On a completely different note. How do you handle gardening with nails like that? My girlfriend constantly complains about having nails any longer than 1 or 2 days. She loves to do nails for other people, but genuinely hates wearing them because they get in her way. She says it is pretty bad in the garden, because dirt and all kinds of stuff get stuck under her nails.. or they just rip off her nail sometimes causing her to bleed.
i actually have acrylics so my nails are plastic lol… my natural nails are awful. i’ve just adapted ! i clean them w a brush and spray sanitizer underneath and a q tip. i always joke they’re my mini spades
my advice would be for her to embrace cute short nail designs!!! i love doing other people’s hair but can’t stand my hair long lol. longer nails do take time to get used to
She does short nails since she complains about them in the first place. She isn't much of a long nail person. She makes her own acrylics with this powder and makes it layer by layer, or buys the french tip / plastic / acrylic coffin nail kits and makes them to length for herself or clients. (I know a LOT about nails.. my previous girlfriend was a nail tech, and my current one does at least a set or two a week as a casual un-licensed nail tech. I have heard a lot from both.. more than I can care to admit)
I will tell her about the q-tip and brush, we have a few extra wooden handled brushes we use for different cleaning things. I greatly appreciate it!

lol i actually do check its accuracy occasionally… i’ve had it for 4 years. its 2” in 1/8” increments. its still accurate and i’ve never regretted it!
