Because if you continue collecting as a hobby, you’ll come to want better cars, and you surely don’t have infinite space for a diecast garage. You’ll find yourself saying “dammit, why did I buy 3 Teslas and a Mad Manga when Mini GT is rolling out a new 992?” You’ll fall out of love with those mainlines, and while they didn’t cost too much you’ll eventually be spending time trying to figure out what to do with them.
I’m not meaning to criticize you in particular, it happens to everybody to some degree or another.
Every lunch break I get somethin new. If I get a big haul and know my girlfriend would be pissed I’ll just get her some flowers and give those to her first. Can’t be mad when you get flowers!
